I'm unsure if I made the right choice in putting 25% of my trade towards BBR instead of putting it all in XMR.

I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to make a profit on the XMR, but I'm also making a big assumption that BBR is going to follow XMR like it did before.

Do people still feel that BBR is heavily correlated with XMR? It has not stayed at a consistent 25% like it was a little while ago. I don't know if that signals a change or not. The fact that the market has let it trade at a deeper discount might indicate something, but I'm not sure.

I put like 5-10% on BBR too. Once monero goes better i am sure it will follow. After all it is the only serious CN coin after Monero out there...

25% was too much though, i think.

There is a problem i have seen a few times from users reporting where they cant send XMR out of their wallets. simplewallet or bitmonerod reports something like 'failed to send ... " I dont have the exact problem report because apparently a user that had the problem today deleted his post after a fix recomendation... Huh

Anyway the fix should be this:

delete poolstate.bin, your compiled version is probably from the one before tx expiry was added. So also recompile with the latest commits.

alonz, delete poolstate.bin, your compiled version is probably from the one before tx expiry was added. So also recompile with the latest commits.

If that works please respond so that we know.

I don't understand why the devs made integration with i2p. I don't understand such step. IMO this indicates insolvency of Monero

When you write your opinion you are expected to support it too if you want people to take you seriously.

So...why it indicates so?

Why there’s so much PR about Monero?
If a thing is really worthy, it does not need so much noise around it.
Looks kinda suspicious - like there are things behind all this that Monero devs would like to hide.

Care to tell us what PR you observe?
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DSH] Dashcoin (cryptonote coin, true anonymity, automated source code) on: July 12, 2014, 05:19:13 PM
1 Satoshi isn't inconceivable.  This could trade in the teens even.

Wanna buy some in the teens?

Can anybody describe to me perspectives of the Monero?

Monero has no future, because there’s hardly a single competent developer in their devs team and the market can't withstand such amount of coins, and it will only get worse in a few months’ time.

At least they seem 10 times more competent than other CN coins devs... I will stick with that and lets see what happens in a few months.

What do you think about core of the Monero team?
I have a not good feeling that they have too much power and they can do with the coin everything what they want.

Its an open source software. You can always help them and do what you like or just copy it and do what  you like.  Of course they do what they want since they are the ones coding/do stuff. Feel free to do everything you want about the coin. Propose what you want. People will chose.

If the state really wants to come down on our freedoms, it will, sorry.

Real life isnt a Hollywood movie with good cop ending. No it wont  if you are clever enough.

That being said i am sure Bitcoin is enough for your needs.

In 5 or more years you will have 1TB ssd on... mobile phones running nodes...
See you then. Meanwhile, Darkcoin will become the go to privacy-centric in several months. There are already solid ideas on how to make unmasking transactions through node collusion exceedingly difficult. Impractical even for an entity that controls half the nodes. So once that is done, what exactly does CN have to offer?

yeah i was looking into Darkcoin many months ago when in a few weeks everything would be open source, when soon 10DRK limit wouldnt exist, when ring signatures would be implemented soon etc. See you also in a few months.

Isn't it Odd, that 5 accounts post relatively 3-6 minutes apart, each with relatively the same amount of activity(20-30), each quoting the other account's obvious Lie, and then proposing their own Lie?

That strikes me as odd...oh wait, they're sockpuppet accounts owned by one person. DUH -smacks head-

Why do you think so? Open your mind, please!

If people support the idea which you don't like, it doesn't mean that it is a "conspiracy"

People didnt look like they supported anything except circlejerking and coordinated monero fud really Smiley

Open your mind!

Guys, I don't understand why Monero has 1135 votes on Hitbtc, but it is available to exchange now. How did this happen?

That was easy. Creators of the Monero bought "the place"on the exchange for its coins

Really? This is disgraceful! Although I'm not surprised because Monero team renowned for its scandalous behavior

P.S. hitbtc guy likes XMR for a reason, just saying...
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: July 09, 2014, 05:29:30 PM
Darkcoin provides a sufficiently high amount of privacy for the vast majority of users. For criminals, money laundering , etc, no solution will ever suffice. You are seriously naive if you think CN will stand up to serious investigation by powerful entities.

yeah just like pirating software right? Powerful entities always lag. And no unlike wonderful american movies they cant always do whatever they want. Of course one day it may be vulnerable. But it is the step for something even better...

Darkcoin is just absolutely easy to break...The more difficult you make it for someone to break it the better...

As for the software and hardware backdoors, yeah not exackly everything have backdoors. A serious man chooses seriously what he uses. And backdoors arent exackly so easy to be used by powerful entities because of even more serious political implications...
