701  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty Manager isn't accountable. on: November 27, 2023, 03:47:15 AM
The bounty manager account you are referring to was also active a few days ago. when you see he is still active in completing the spreadsheet which I see is not final yet. that means everything is not finished yet.
It was supposed to be paid after 4 weeks of the campaign duration, as the campaign thread says. It can be delayed for many reasons but keeping no communication with the hunter is totally unprofessional. He should at least keep them informed about what is happening, why, and when will they get paid.

I just tagged him so he posts here. Will remove once the issue is fixed.

Yes, I think even if there is a disclaimer from the bounty manager that the distribution will be done by the team itself or the project, he should at least open a communication line between the bounty hunters and himself.

And when he log-in to this community, there's none of that, maybe he is also waiting for a PM from the project. But at least keep the hunters in the loop as it's already November and many weeks have past without the bounty manager updating the participants and it looks very shady at this point.
702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 26, 2023, 09:30:18 AM

If you do like to have that longer gambling session then having that kind of bankroll management would really be something that you do need. Why? You would really be trying out to make
bets as minimal as you could on which you are really that trying to prolong the session and really be that trying out to sustain just because you are really planning to have that fun
and longer sessions but of course most of the time it would really be talking on having that kind of profitable gambling.

For me then if i do know that i do have only a small amount of bankroll then i would really be trying out to divide it as small as possible because if you dont then
gambling session would be over in just few rolls or rounds and if you arent that satisfied with the duration then most likely
you would really be ending up on making a deposit again which it isnt really that good at all.

The bank roll management is essential for the gambler to play in the old age, because we gambling play at the young age was easy one because the money for the gambling site can be arranged by the gambler form their salary. Some of my gambler friends used to spend 30 percentage of their income to the gambling,if their family member or wife come to know about this.So the gambler get more pressure to play using their gambling with the income. So the gambler should keep their own seperate account for the gambling alone. The small bankroll gambler also survive for the long term in the gambling site by allow to save the gambling winnings in the separate account without sharing your family member will help for the long run.

I don't see age as factor here though, even if you are just starting your gambling journey or you are a seasoned veteran, it's going to be very hard to managed your bankroll and it takes a lot of discipline. As for my experience, played games yesterday, and I won so I decided to withdraw.

But I don't know, but there are itch that I need to scratch and so I deposited again and then slowly all my winnings are now negative. But at least though, when I break even or at least lose only small amounts, I was able to take ahold of myself and not to deposit anymore because I'm thinking that I'm obviously in the losing streak and this can continue.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: The volatility volumes of Bitcoin is not the Will of man on: November 26, 2023, 08:40:02 AM

$50k is a good target before Bitcoin reaches the new ATH, but my hope by the end of the year to be able to touch that $40k price is good enough and stay above that.

I love the volatility. I want to see more volatility. The reason is volatility over a long period of time leads to a good return. In contrast to other assets, Bitcoin enables investors to deploy capital into which they can invest millions of dollars and which will yield a symmetrical return at any time. Additionally, it has increased by more than 10% annually. It was the case for more than ten years. Individuals are holding and adding to their bitcoin stacks. The ETFs are going to be approved, the halving will come next year and Bitcoin is going to get to the moon almost at least 80- 100k. 2021 is going to happen again.

Yes, some of us love volatility because this is how we make money, specially for day traders or traders in general. So as far as investing money, there are really whales that can simply invest $1 million and let it sleep and forget about it.

And then there are us, average joe, who are the majority here. We also invest but not that much, and we embrace volatility because we look at the long term effect of it. In the future or in the next bull run, if we have invested at least last year when we hit lowest low, we are already in the profits, more than 100%. And yet, we are not going to sell as we are going to wait for the bull run to maximized our profits, rinse and repeat.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: November 26, 2023, 07:14:32 AM
Subriel Mathias retains his title by making Ergashev quit, he started slow but eventually, picked up the pace and systematically broke down Ergashev, Subriel fought a great fight he just ate up Ergashev's punches and poured his own punches, intelligent fight by Subriel against a guy who is considered very dangerous, he has hurdle the best obstacle of his fight by beating  Ergashev it looks like we have Romero, Lopez and other champions will have a hard time against Subriel.
He is now 24-0-24, this is an awesome record, he is now under the radar of champions like Haney, Romero, and Lopez.
He is now a fighter to watch after this fight.

Yes, he is still with a perfect record and he shows in this fight that he can take punishment too and has a good chin. It was test for his early as Ergashev is coming strong with power. But he wasn't able to sustain that kind of pace and maybe when he realized that his power doesn't have any effect on Matias, he started to doubt himself as the round goes and so he quit.

I do agree, Prograis, Romero and Lopez will be a good matchup for him. His style is definitely makes the fights very difficult for this fighter. But let's see if they are willing to fight a pressure fighter like Matias.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 26, 2023, 06:46:15 AM
I am presently watching Benavidez vs. Andrade. I reckon if this Andrade has good stamina and he can maintain this performance, he might have a chance. However, it appears that he became careless on the last seconds of the 4th round. This might be caused by low stamina and being tired.

I am quite certain that this will end before round 7. I will be very shocked if Andrade will go to a decision heheheh.

You got it mate, the fight ended at round 6, so hopefully you're able to put a bet on it and win. Unfortunately, Andrade doesn't have the stamina and I will say that his age is catching up on him.

He uses a lot of foot and good movement, but Benavidez is like stalking him and throwing a lot of power punches that really affect his gas tank.

And again, with this kind of victory, Canelo should step up by now and fight DB. There's no way that he Canelo will cement his legacy without giving DB a fight next year or before he retires.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 26, 2023, 05:25:54 AM
Fight is underway here is a live feed of the fight hopefully it will not be taken down and we will finish the whole fight

https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=search&v=318256367806536

The latest update was the corner of Andrade stopped the fight, Andrade took a lot of beating and there was a warning coming from the referee that he would stop the fight if Andrade couldn't defend himself, now we are finally going to see a Benavidez - Canelo fight for an all Mexican great fight

Yes, the corner of Andrade chooses to throw the towel because it was a mismatch, so to stop further damage, it was the right decision of the corner man/trainer. Again, he is taking to much in this fight and at 35 years old, it shows that his age in this fight.

Hopefully with this good performance of David, beating a great fighter in Andrade, the Canelo Alvarez will no longer hide on the excuses of not wanting to fight another Mexican. He should give DB his due now, he has been destroying everyone at this weight class. And being the champion, he should be allowing himself to be challenge by a young fighter and see if he still has it or if Canelo is on a decline.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 25, 2023, 09:24:05 PM
Hi all!

Ive noticed recently that more and more crypto sites are requesting KYC, and more and more restricted jurisdictions are being added to said sites Ts and Cs. This is a problem for a lot of people on this forum who like to gamble anonymously, and, perhaps use sites that are "blocked" in their home countries.

My question then is, which are the best countries that can access these sites without issues, and pass all KYC checks? I'd love to hear your opinions!

Isn't it though that is the purpose of playing online or at least why there is online casinos in the first place, it's borderless so regardless where you are and where the casino's headquarters is, you can play, being anonymous, although there are casinos that certain countries for some reasons.

As far as KYC requirements, it's really hard to say, most Curacao based license casino will have to ask you sooner than later. In any case, there is a good thread about this subject matter by @Mahdirakib: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 25, 2023, 06:14:20 AM
But Duarte is not short so it will be a different strategy and different fight for Ryan Garcia. And as I have said, what new techniques did he learn from James? We can only find out the answers during the fight and see if Ryan can still fight and still a good boxer.

This is a good match for Garcia, as he isn't the type of fighter who loves to throw jabs and use his height advantage; he prefers to attack. Given Duarte's record, which includes many KO wins, I find it easy to predict the boxing technique Duarte will be using in this fight. If Duarte goes all out to KO Garcia (which, by the way, would make him popular if he succeeds), then I guess Garcia's counterpunch has to be accurate to score a knockdown, or, better yet, a knockout to end the fight early.

And with that, maybe this is what his new trainer has been developing for him? He has a good counter puncher already with that left hook of his, but sometimes he over hits his opponent and that's why he was exposed, like in the Campbell fight and of course in the Davis fight when he over commits and then his opponent take advantage of it.

So let's see if there's such improvement in his counter punching, if Duarte chooses to go toe to toe and take that risk that to be able to get a good punch he might eat something in return and hope that he can hold on against the power of Ryan Garcia here.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 25, 2023, 05:23:57 AM
However, Charlo came in overweight, 3.4 pounds against Benavidez Jr. This fight is at a catchweight of 163 pounds, and yet Charlo came in still close to the super middleweight at 166.4 pounds.

Not sure if this fight is going to continue, but there are talks that Charlo will have to pay Benavidez as penalty for going over the catchweight so that they can just proceed with the fight.

It is also reported that the weigh in was done behind close doors with no media around.

This is unprofessional behavior from a fighter who's been coddled by his promoter and the WBC who allowed him to keep his title despite not defending it in over two years. This was supposed to be a showcase that would lead to bigger fights. This will tarnish his image and makes it seem like he isn't serious about his career anymore.

Quote
It is also reported that the weigh in was done behind close doors with no media around.
The official weight-in is always behind closed doors and the ceremonial weigh-in is the one that is open to the public. It should be happening right now so we will see if there is any update on this situation.

I think it just shows that Charlo is not yet ready, mentally and physically to fight and perhaps he still has the problems inside of him. Or maybe after that long layoff of him, his body is no longer responding to 160 lbs as he can't make that weight and they know that, that's why they requested at a catch weight of 163 lbs. But still though, his body is really that big after 29 months of layoff and they can't squeeze his body.

So the fight could still proceed, Benavidez Jr, used to fight Crawford at 140 lbs and already a disadvantage because this is not his natural weight class. But I guess the penalty is enough for them and his father to let this fight go and let's see if he can really damage Charlo here.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 25, 2023, 05:00:04 AM
Yeah, I personally feel that slot games are a complete waste of time and money most of the time, I got this bonus from btcgosu's partnership with BetFury which awarded me a 77 free spins.

Bonus is still available for anyone to claim on https://www.btcgosu.com/blog/news/unleash-the-black-friday-magic-get-77-free-spins-with-code-gosu77-at-betfury/

I played slot game with the free spin and ended up with a total win of $16, but also hammered with a wager requirement of about $750 before I did be able to withdraw.

I continued playing slot with the $16, and soon, I had up to $55 in total amount won, I was really happy and hopeful that before I did lose all $55, I would have won much to enable me complete the wager requirement and possibly walk out in profit.

But unfortunately, I ended up losing the entire $55 dollar while I still had about $582 dollar in wager requirement, I am not confident enough to deposit and continue chasing, so I'm giving up.

I've never been lucky with slot games, never, and I am not pleased about it to be honest.
What about you?

Or you can claim them as blatantly scam because you will not win? But the thing is, some play slots to be entertained and have some fun, and it will give you that, specially hitting near miss or near win and you thought you need to continue and hit that jackpot.

Of course, everyone here is not pleased if the results are not going in your side. But I have played slots, enjoy them, and I have the biggest winning in my career playing 50 lions when I wagered max bet and win in the 6 digits numbers.

So I will say not completely waste of money and time, it's just the timing that you are going to play and just hope that you will be lucky.
711  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO | SPORTSBOOK & CASINO on: November 23, 2023, 08:53:55 PM
Do you guys want crash contest to be back or something similar on all the slots?
I prefer crash game contest. It gives me an adrenaline rush as no other casino game does and I do not easily get bored of it, could just casually play in my free time. Slots are also cool, but if I am to choose one, I will go with crash.

- Jay -

Yeah, that's the thing though with crash games and trying to hit that multiplier, its the rush hitting that xxxx multiplier.

However, as a slot player, would love to see slot game competitions, same, higher multiplier wins, and there could still be adrenaline pump in you if you get it or at least those near miss or near hit could make you play that game again and again.
712  Economy / Speculation / Re: My analogy towards breaking the silence of Binance and the rumours around crypto on: November 23, 2023, 08:01:32 PM
I would say if this happens, it would be all trial era towards who hodles, halves empties its crytop wallets.
All trade cordially by faiths. I personal don't see impressive appreciate value of Bitcoin this year as lot of investors predicts the market would hit $40K plus this year. I don't even see $39K or above.

You mean that because of this negative news, the price will not go to $40,000 as predicted by others? I mean, we are still in the $37,000 and many thinks can happen, yeah it can go down any time, but if you look at when the news about the CZ debacle against SEC, there was no significant price movement to below that price levels. Because if we will follow your narratives, the price should be by going down and there are a lot of panic, but there's none.

Anyhow, everyone has it's own speculation, and as long as we have our Bitcoin in a wallet that we have total control of it, we have the absolute power whether we want to sell it at this point and someone gonna buy it instantly or just HODL on it and look at the bigger picture and not panic selling.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 23, 2023, 01:23:17 PM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?

Nothing make sense in the world of gambling to be honest with you. Everyone play, become addicted, or have some fun, but still they are going to lose money in the end. And so if someone approaches me with that kind of proposal, I wouldn't accept it. I will try to reason out that it's not a good thing to do and besides I don't have money or extra in my pocket.

Just make sure that you explain it in a nice way and don't be rude as he might take it negative. And if ever I had the money, I still wouldn't lend some even if the proposal is good, like I will have the big percentage of the cut, but still though, he will not shell out money and you will, and then the risk involved. We all know that in gambling, no one is going to win in the end.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 23, 2023, 10:45:35 AM
^^ Yes, all roads lead to Teo Lopez, as he is the man in the 140 lbs, he beat the unified champion and so he is the lineal champion. And it's good that he is just quite though and in the background. Although he was in the fight of Shakur and Delos Santos a week.

And so I guess he will be watching this fight too at close and he could be in the audience again. And whoever wins here, they really have to go to Teo Lopez to call themselves the best at 140 lbs.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 23, 2023, 10:05:25 AM
When you are addicted even your savings will also be used for it. Good thing that I have never done that, although I've got a few savings in the bank but I have never used any of them for gambling.

Most of the time, when I have cash in the past, I just use amount that's spare to me for any recreational actvity like gambling.

Never got to that point but I became active gambler before.
Even an active gambler doesn't have to be an addicted gambler all the time. Many gamblers gamble actively but have their budgets and limits and know when to start and when to stop you can't call someone like that a gambling addict because they are not excessive and reckless gamblers who have no sense of the money they are spending or the time that they are wasting on gambling without having any realization about other things in their lives.

Yeah, as long as you have control of your gambling habits, and make the right decision to quit even if you are winning, in short you have control, then that is good gambling on your part. But if you become reckless and betting huge amount like you want to chase a lost, then that is bad and you could be going on the side of being an addicted gambling.

An addicted gambler is someone who can't stop when they have exhausted their budget for the day, they can't stop when they are already ahead of the house, or they can't stop when they are constantly losing because the urge doesn't let them and they are not capable enough to control that urge.

And after that, they will have to look for ways to make money, be it borrowing from a person or going to the backs to make huge loan just to continue with their addiction. So that is very hard to stop once you got on that phase of a gambler.
716  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who's next in line? on: November 22, 2023, 09:24:09 PM

Which exchange or CEO do you think is going down next?

Any exchange that is operating within the US.

And with that, the first exchange that comes to my mind is Coinbase, and since this is US based, they have been fighting against SEC for the longest time now.

Quote
- Coinbase has a Tuesday filing deadline to answer the Securities and Exchange Commission's rebuttal of the company's motion to get its major enforcement action dismissed.

- The company is said to be ready to underline two legal arguments: that the tokens being traded don't represent investment contracts (and thus securities) and that the SEC is violating the Major Questions Doctrine that outlines the relationship between regulators and Congress.

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/10/23/coinbase-poised-to-make-final-pitch-in-bid-to-kill-sec-accusations-quickly/

So we will see how this things settle down between SEC and Coinbase. Or if SEC will also used their hammer against a US based crypto exchange, or if they want to show force that anyone can be under their microscope and could suffer the same fate as Binance or CZ.
717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 22, 2023, 08:45:40 PM
I think 45k$ is too far for the end of this year, plus the news of the resignation of the CEO of Binance which has shaken the market a bit, whatever it is, it looks like 40k$ will not be achieved this year and will likely rise again in early 2024.
and after the halving we will see a fairly stable increase until the end of the year.

Yeah, there is a news about CZ and Binance, but if you look at the market, it wasn't that affected negatively. On the other hand, we continue to have a jump, the price is more than $37,000 and the increased is 1.x% in the last 24 hours. So given that how this news was released and yet the market didn't take a dent? I think the market will remain bullish up to the end of the year.

So maybe the AI got it right, or the market is really going at that price at the end of the year because majority of us, or at least myself is seeing prices like $40,000-$50,000 next month. Let's see how it goes, bullish sentiment is still predominant in this market.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your perception about crypto games? on: November 22, 2023, 08:00:10 PM
There are varied crypto games we tend to be fond of that does rely on bullrun to maintain playbase. Another words they perform fine in bull market.

What are your views or perceptions about such games.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but I don't think that crypto based gambling site or gamblers themselves rely on crypto's bull run to continue with their habits. Even at the bear market you will continue to see gamblers seeking fun and entertainment.

So regardless of what cycle we are in, gamblers will be gamblers. Not sure where you get this observation though. On the contrary, gamblers might play more on the bear market as the price is at a low as compare to a bull run wherein the price goes up and so is the transaction fees, although we have seen in right now like in BTC because of Ordinals and BRC-20.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 22, 2023, 07:36:15 PM
I remember the story of the Octopus predicting the winner of Fifa but I consider it a mere coincidence nothing else for the record even the Octopus got 2 predictions wrong out of 14 which says what is the reality and I don't really dream about betting but only about big melons all the time, not sure why though. Grin

But we all have some kind of superstition thing to do when we want to do something, like wearing a lucky shirt for an interview or holding the same spot when you want your team to win, and so on.

Yup, this is the first thing that comes to my mind, animals predicting the outcome of the football game. So it's either you believed them or not, sort of a superstitious believed as more of us gamblers are very superstitious individuals.

So for me, this could be just mere coincidence, I mean it's a 50/50 chance that the animals might predict the correct winner. But it's better to rely on our own intuition and analysis rather that rely on someone, even a person or individual to predict the winner.

Welcome to the Bitcointalk forum

New casino sites come up using the web3 method, whether this is a safe method or not. Several other casinos have launched something similar by connecting the wallet to the casino which is considered a simple but slightly risky method. On the other hand most users prefer to separate their wallets without connecting them directly.

Right, most of us are still very traditional,  I mean in the beginning you only need a wallet address, but as crypto world evolved, many wallets have been created and now you can connect them directly to any platforms, including the new web3 gambling sites.

So in any case, it is still up to us whether we wanted to take that risk or not.

But in seems that this platform knows what they are doing as I have said, crypto world is moving very fast and now the gambling world is being open to this kind of games and decentralized features. So goodluck to anyone who is going to try them and hopefully can get back to the community as far as their experience goes.
