Lol. She had a warrant out for violating her parole! Didn't know that... But the cops did! I called 911 and told them what was going on, mentioned I was worried she would get shot, they came and took her away in cuffs. Well, zip ties.

I am overjoyed right now. Thanks for talking me through guys.

you should have given her a copy of Satoshi's whitepaper and told her "you'll have plenty of time to study this where you're going."

Sadly I didn't see them. Gf's dad did, though.

LOL! Awesome ah well, people like that do tend to always dig their own graves anyway, just be ready for the pissed off brother.

Oh yea. I can handle him.

Well everyone got home and I looked over the paperwork. Doesn't make much sense. It's an eviction form and such. I don't see why they couldn't file it. Bleh.

I really feel for you.

Not sure I would spend a bunch of money on lawyers but you could always have one write up a letter for you threatening them with lawsuits and other legal mayhem. This may help to scare them off.

I think you are hooped otherwise. The son is, well, related to the owners and has been living there. Therefore his position is "grandfathered".
If the owners are old and in poor health, fighting with the son and gf is NOT an option. They will not persevere.

Hopefully, you can find a way to distance yourselves from the trouble makers and, just, wait it out. This may be unlikely if the troublemakers are living on the property for free and getting free utilities.

Can you move them to the opposite side of the property?

it's likely we can get the utilities to their trailer shut off easily enough. and they ARE on the opposite side of the property.

this falls under the category of "house squatters" get a lawyer, and they will issue to get the legal right for them to get out of the place.

It is probably even more complicated than that, if she is living with the son in a separate building on the same land.
Depending on how much you care about getting the son in trouble, waiting until there are drugs or other illegal items in the trailer and then calling the police is one option.

yea, that's my fear. course he's run out his welcome too, at this stage. just one problem at a time seems to be the method here.

were it left in my hands, she'd be gone in a few hours. him too. scare the fucking shit out of them. i'd like to think it'd be easy. sigh.

If they are paying the bills electricity water house taxes you have a very hard job getting them out could take up to two years doing it the legal way.Of course a burst from a AR51 in the house while there sleeping can often make them think twice about squatting

nope - they don't pay a dime for anything. no ar15's handy. shotgun, revolver, couple pistols though...

thanks guys. yea, the "next to impossible" is what we're finding, it seems.

and we ARE rural, actually... believe me, i'm tempted, but since it's not my property, i can't be the one doing it... sigh.

If I were in your situation, I would contact a lawyer for legal advice.

Probably a good idea. Think I'll make some calls relating to that in the morning.

so, i live with my fiance and her parents. we all get along just fine. their son lives on the property they own, in a trailer. he brought in someone i can best describe as his gf and she's been living there. in short, she's trash. drugs, actively involved in crime, threats of violence against us, etc. he's no peach either, but that's for later.

no lease agreement, verbal or written exists. no permission was given. she's been verbally told to get the fuck out multiple times, but refuses to do so.

my future in laws just went to a justice of the pease earlier today to try to file for eviction, but were shut down. something to do with the lack of lease. i don't know the details as they aren't home yet.

to put it lightly, my fiance is in tears, her mother - who's hand two heart attacks and survived cancer - is on the verge of physically puking she's so stressed and we're afraid she's gonna drop dead for all this.

anyone got any ideas? all i can think to do is to get her folks to declare me their agent, as they own the land but are both well into their 60's and aren't really able to handle this shit, and then deal with her myself, violently if i must. not that i want to hurt her or anything, but this shit's gone long enough. however i can't find anything on how to GET that declaration done and legally recognized. fiance is worried i'd get arrested for getting involved when it's not my property.

does anyone here have any idea where we can turn or how we can solve this before my mother in law has another heart attack?

waiting to hear on the loan. doubt i'm gonna sell any of these now.
736  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 15% interest. multiple small loans OK! on: November 13, 2014, 11:15:13 PM
spoke with a bank today... finally have an account again, so that's a good step. applied for a loan, won't know for a couple days.

however, i have sold some stuff (outside of here) so i'm now just needing the actual deductible, not any additional expenses. changing thread title and OP to reflect that.

lol - why are you asking us for money if you aren't even desperate?  Try the religious forums!   Smiley

because i'm not religious. in fact, i'm rather anti religious. so i'd be lying to them to try to get money.

also, i'm not asking for a gift. it's a loan. loans are business matters. not religious.

Once you get desperate enough, you'll lie.  Lie or die.   Wink

So why don't you go to a local mechanic like I suggested?  Make a deal that he fixes your car now and you pay him later.  You don't need a loan here.

i don't know any local mechanics. they exist, of course, but why would they work for free? i mean, no one is going to do over 4000 dollars (insurance estimate) worth of work when they're not sure they'll get paid for all of it. just cause i "make a deal" there's no guarantee from his view i'd actually uphold that, unless it was a full blown legal contract, and i'm unaware of any such thing being a remotely normal occurrence.

as to the whole "lie or die" thing, yea... but why are you trying to encourage me to scam someone else? isn't that exactly the kind of behavior this forum DOESN'T encourage?

You have to go out and meet someone face to face.  You'll have a better time convincing them in person than you will strangers on the internet.

I don't think your deductible is $4000 - you posted it was $1,000.  So why is the mechanic going to have to do $4,000 of work for free?

He'll only have to do $1,000 worth of work, to which you will pay him $1,150 once you get your car working.  He can take your car title as collateral.  He will love the 15% interest.

I tell you, that's your best way.  You don't need a loan from here.

...what car title? i don't have it. the finance company does. but yes, valid point on the amount there. you're right, only 1000. when i get the check from the insurance company, i'll go talk to the shop. maybe i'll get lucky.
