721  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aptos Fake/Scam Airdrop Site on: November 19, 2023, 10:40:27 PM
Good catch, as far I know, GoDaddy is very quick to response to this kind of complaints. Did my part already,

In any case that this is not address by GoDaddy, I know someone inside that company, maybe I will try to reach to him and tell that there is a phishing site using their company. But let's wait first and again, as I have said, they are fast so let's hope that this is still the case.

I am just curious: are forum users still running behind the Airdrop scam? I mean, Airdrop is totally a scam; it doesn't matter if you get worthless tokens or compromise your wallet through fake links. At the end of the day, you are a loser. You are spending your time and getting nothing. I will advise you to just stay away from airdrops, so you don't need to identify fake or real airdrops. Keep in mind that nothing is free in the world; you have to lose something when you want to get something free. Anyway, thanks for sharing the phishing site.

Yeah, but still there are a lot of gullible users, maybe newbie in the world of crypto and they think that airdrops is still a thing even in 2023. And there could still be legitimate airdrops out there, but not the kind of money that it used to be way back in 2017 wherein airdrop is really worth something.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 19, 2023, 09:58:21 PM
Let's go back to the topic and not talk about Garcia vs Duarte as they have their own thread.

This fight is still in December, and there's one interview on Prograis and I quote,

Quote
“I feel like this fight is me stepping into my superstardom. That's what it is. It's me getting what I deserve.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/regis-prograis-on-haney-showdown-this-fight-me-stepping-into-my-superstardom--179366

It could be true that he might be recognized as the man in 140 lbs right now if he beat Devin Haney. As we have said, he is a live dog because he has the power to knock out anyone at this division and Haney has a weak chin.

But there is still another man in Teofimo Lopez before Prograis can lay to the crown at 140 lbs.

723  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seabet.io Online Casino on: November 19, 2023, 09:25:49 PM
I am not sure if anyone noticed it but why the domain address has “9” in it? I mean the ANN banner in OP says it’s Seabet.io however whenever I am clicking it, the address bar shows seabet9.io
Your concern has already been addressed and confirmed already. You can see the reply from OP below.

Hello! We use Seabet9.io as our marketing link for Seabet.io. We want to assure you that we prioritize the integrity of our services and the trust of our users. We do not engage in any form of scam, and maintaining a positive reputation is of utmost importance to us.

It's sad to see my country as one who does not have access to this website. Would really want to see the actual website and the games you offer. But anyways, congratulations and welcome to this forum seabet team.

Ahh cheers mate. That make sense. I was more excited about the affiliate program and its discussion so might have missed that reply. I am not sure how it benefits them but sure they doing it after some math behind it. It would be interesting to see how affiliate program will help influencers like me who keeps doing CPA offers on various micro tasking sites.

I just hope anyone signing up via such sites won’t bounce off just because of the Website name. Did they bought that domain because it was already registered by someone and to overcome the scam they bought that one also?

Also another question is:

Code:
https://www.sea01.com/

Related to your website? Looks the same though, so I will assume that you might have bought it as well to protect your websites from others that might register your name and maybe pull some scams.

Anyhow, they've got their signature campaigns, and it might be good if they are paying in stable coins as the price of Bitcoin tx though is off the roof, just saying.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 19, 2023, 08:56:29 PM
It's pretty harder for an offline version to scam people than they do online, players can easily file a complaint and the authorities will take action quickly for fear of public outrage, our offline casinos here are very quick to address even small issues because they will lose clients and they will also their license, compared to online version even if they have a hundred complaints they can continue to operate because it's hard to charge online casinos.
And if online casinos say you are a cheater, they don't need to prove you are, because they will deny to show proof because they are afraid that their security system will be exposed and cheaters will find a way to manipulate it.
So your chances to withdraw your earnings offline are better online provided that you play fair.
We will probably be mistaken when we consider that online gambling are the ones that always have the openness for scam related activities and assumed that the physical casinos are less involved in this, scam is what we can't predict how, where or who can engage in making such attack or those that will be heavily affected from the attack as well, as long as it is humanbeing who were involved in this, they can do and undo.
There is no doubt that there can be scams in physical or offline casinos as well, but you can't deny the fact that it's easier for an online casino platform to scam its customers and even run away with the funds since most online cryptocurrency casinos these days don't even acquire a proper license at the beginning and they keep operating without it until or unless the authorities threaten them to close their platform down if they don't get a proper license.

The same thing cannot be said for a physical casino because a physical casino establishment can't just move from one place to another after scamming its customers and it is relatively harder for it to successfully scam the gamblers because everything is done physically and in front of everyone which reduces the chances for gamblers to get scammed.

Scam in physical casinos? I'm not sure what you mean by it, very hard to pull this one specially if you are playing in big casinos. Maybe you are referring to illegal traditional casinos (if there is such cases), or illegal bookies. But still though, if you play on this kind of fly by night, you should know your chances. As per my experience, but this kind of illegal bookies has some limitations but they will tell you up front. Specially if you win big, let's say $1000 in sports beating, they will acknowledge your win but they will tell you that they can't pay that in full, instead they will give you like $500 for it.

But for big casinos, they will not simply pull this off, it's hard to move from one place to another, LOL. They already have the reputation and I doubt that they will do this act. As for online, it's very easy for them to have a lot of excuse not to pay for big wins, hence there are a lot of scam accusations here in our community.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Letting the cat out of the bag on: November 18, 2023, 10:23:16 AM
How many people have you been able to change after they get addicted to gambling? And what is there level of addiction?

I don't know, even though I know a lot of gamblers that become addicted, I haven't had the chance to change their ways.

From my own experience, I get to know that those gamblers who are secretly gambling in their rooms and develop the addiction habit have the biggest problem, gambling addiction is like 'wanting more' and never getting enough, you will have all day thinking about gambling, maybe if you do this or you do that, maybe the result will be different.

Yeah, with the proliferation of online gambling, maybe there are persons that you really don't expect to be gambling addict because they are all playing at the comfort of their home or in their bedroom for privacy. Specially during the pandemic years, 2020-2021, there could be a lot that turn into gambling and become addicted.

I was able to talk sense into two different addicted gamblers and they also get help from family members, but the major reason why they too so long in their addiction is because they don't open up to anybody, they kept it all inside of them and it's killing them.

It's good that you help someone, and for sure if feels good. Hopefully there could be other that will reach out, not necessarily from this community or what. But someone who realized what is going on, called a help line and talk to someone before it's too late.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 18, 2023, 07:49:37 AM
Shakur though disappoint me as a fan, I thought that he will go for a knockout win against Delos Santos and so I beat on that. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to engage and now he is getting a lot of heat from the fighters that he wanted, like Haney and Tank Davis.

So let's see how it goes, it might take sometime for him to digest, or if he is really hurt with that left hand or not. Some of the best have off-nights too or even lost their fight, at least Shakur get the win.

And so all the Devin talk died last night for Shakur, but again, let's see what his plan next, if Devin goes back to 135 lbs and fight him, let's see what will be the split then.
727  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The SEC Struggles to Recruit Crypto Experts, Report Says on: November 16, 2023, 08:08:16 AM
Karma is a bitch.  Cheesy

SEC is the reason for many FUD on crypto which every crypto holders is affected. I doubt that someone in crypto industry will help this department that main goal is to suppress anonymity of crypto.

They should just invest on training someone to become crypto expert rather than hire from crypto community that despise them badly.

This is not karma. There is a requirement that before they can be hired, they should dump all of their cryptocoins and tokens. Why would anyone who has invested in the cryptospace do this? It would be something similar as becoming a traitor to the community hehehe. Also, it might be earning lesser than holding the right coins.

LOL, but yeah, it has nothing to do with Karma, but maybe @Eternad is just sarcastic when he says that SEC is getting what they deserved for now. I mean they have been the bane of crypto enthusiast and most of the time, we think that they are really anti-crypto or having a hard stance.

Nevertheless, it seems that this just just a hurdle, who knows, maybe the pay rate is really that good that someone will take a bite on this job.

We all know that in the US there is also a problem with people not having a job and obviously, it's hard for them. But if they see fit in this role then why not?

The pay rate might be good, however, what type of crypto experts would be attracted to work for the government? We have witnessed much of the experts in the cryptospace are scammers, some of the founders of many projects are not really experts and the investors who do their research invest in them only for their future potential not for what they presently are.

That will be the biggest question on how they will define what "crypto experts" means, maybe here in our community or any other crypto community, they might have a different meaning for them. And even up to this day, we could have been debating the meaning of that and because it encompass a broader subject. Could be in terms of laws, or they could be looking as somewhat we can see a possible crypto scams and others.

So it's a very broad subject and maybe that's why they have a hard time finding the right now and there is actually no real experts in this field as it is generally fairly young. So they will have to set everything by precedent and it could be some mistakes by this so called experts as far as decision making is.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin price if Solar superstorm 'wipe out the internet'? on: November 16, 2023, 06:08:02 AM
While browsing through social media, I came across an article that mentioned Solar superstorms could 'wipe out the internet' for weeks or months, scientist says. Will the loss of internet connectivity for weeks or months affect the value of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin? What will be the outcome?

    Source: https://www.foxweather.com/earth-space/solar-storm-wipe-out-internet

Everyone will obviously be affected, Crypto in general relies to internet connections so without it, there will be no trading or any activity related to crypto.

But in an case there could be alternative and you might find it on this other threads,

And just like others have said, maybe there are other things that might we should look more important than our bitcoin investment is this so called Solar Superstorm happen.[/list]
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between crypto gamblers - regular gamblers on: November 16, 2023, 04:09:46 AM
Overall I think that crypto gamblers are more likely to make more educated decisions with how they handle their money overall, while regular gamblers will be easily tricked by old tricks such as deceptive bonuses in casinos and similar tricks and regular gamblers will also more easily fall victim to their own psychological tricks such as being carried away and try to bet more to win your losses etc. What are your thoughts? Have you experienced something similar?

I think the biggest difference between crypto gamblers and regular gamblers is capital control because crypto gamblers have more experience in budget management due to their trading experience. I think that especially regular gamblers are generally not directly introduced to gambling and therefore cannot manage their budget well. So, indirectly, crypto gamblers are often more experienced in budget management and use their balance more efficiently.

Not sure about that though, I mean if we are gambling, for me it's just the same regardless of crypto or fiat. We all go and take that big risk and hope that we are going to win. Maybe the difference though is that when we deposit it might take some time to be credited to our crypto based account. But still it might give us some time to think about continuing with our gambling habits (addiction).

On the other hand, although crypto casino businesses are required to follow the KYC procedure, crypto gamblers, especially those who gamble with low budgets avoid applying this procedure and attach more importance to privacy. In other words, it is possible to state that online casinos are a slightly better choice in terms of privacy as it is necessary to share personal information regardless of the amount in a physical casino or betting office but there is a certain amount of limit for sharing personal information in online casinos.

As much as we have KYC, it will be the norm I guess. If you go to land base casinos, if you wanted to take advantage of the freebies, you have to fill up some forms as well to have that card and to used it when you play to have some points that you redeem later. So if you have to think about it, almost the same as it is also a KYC per se and we don't complain about it.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 16, 2023, 02:11:17 AM
We will see, that's quite appealing odds for a KO for Stevenson, specially if he will do it in under 10.5 rounds. And if someone either bet on that, it's going to be a big win as the odds is above 3.xx which is very attractive.

So let's see how Stevenson will perform here, I'm starting to like this kid, so I will go with him winning via KO.

Nothing is great by betting on a huge odds like it and there could also a chance that you could score a KO because he needed a signature win in this division.

That KO odds for Steveson is tempting indeed but Shakur is unpredictable with the KO win, i mean he doesn't always go for that kind of win, he will not force the issue if the chance is not there that may be the reason why bookies believed that this fight would go the distance especially that De Los Santos is not a push-over fighter.

I don't know mate, I have a feeling that Shakur might go in this fight and trying to proved himself in this division. So he will be looking for a KO win, and definitely I think he will be fast here. I'm thinking that he will go enough for the body of Edwin and test it out.

And he is the taller guy, I'm not saying the bigger but the taller in terms of height. It looks like Edwin is a big smaller in this division. I mentioned this because I'm again, seeing that Stevenson will take advantage of his height and length and jab and then look for the body of Edwin to try and soften him and then he will take the heads later.
731  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bullish momentum - Breaking through the $35,000 mark on: November 16, 2023, 01:49:57 AM
By the looks of it we had another good day, and let that be a lesson to all those people who started FUD talks right away as soon as they saw it go down just a little bit. They were all talking about how bitcoin was going down and would it be 30k again and would we see under 30k and all that, as you can see we have not lived through anything like that at all, and we should be proud to be seeing it go like this. I understand that it may not feel that way to most people, but that is how it is today here, we are above 37k again and went %6+ high in a single day. This is mainly because we are in the bull run period and we should be quite happy with what we have, there is nothing wrong with bitcoin at the moment, and it will keep on going strong.

Yes, and as per TA, RSI looks solid as this point that's and so it coincides with a great increased again in the last 24 hours and it was just like showing to those FUD that Bitcoin is not going to be affected by any negative news, on the contrary it will make the price goes even stronger as the market has matured already and there's no way that we will listen to this FUD. So let's see, this month is still very long, lots of days to accomplished that $40,000 levels. If we can't reach that this month, a good $38,000 price is not that bad and then by December we will continue and try to breach that round numbers again and maybe it will carry on till next year as we approach the block halving.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 15, 2023, 11:20:52 PM
Was going through some post on the forum when I came across this writing in a free signature space which writes “make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you loss access to your BTC”.

Now a lot of people would imagine the possibilities of losing access to one’s bitcoin in their wallet and there have been several cases of where people loss access to their wallets with massive holdings in it and that is why it is always advisable to back up wallet address regularly.
I’m not trying to down in BTC but at times we should call a spade a spade and accept the fact that aside decentralization that bitcoin offers and its volatility that we all profit from, a lot of people would still want to stick to the traditional banks because it also seems to be one of the safest place to keep our money.

Now my question is, do you think losing all of one’s coins simply because they didn’t have access to their wallet or key is already enough disadvantage for bitcoin against the local banks ?

Oh well, there will always be a trade off, no matter what kind of investments you have, either stocks or gold. So it will be the same on Bitcoin, but I wouldn't say it's a disadvantage, it's more on you should learn how to protect your own assets because who wouldn't, that is yours and obviously no one should take it away from you. But if you didn't take security very seriously, then it's your downfall.

We have a lot of methods already on how to keep Bitcoin safe, and it's also all over the forum. It's just a matter on whether you will execute them, I mean if you have like 1 BTC in your wallet, then you should also increased your awareness on how to protect it and also be private and not tell anyone about how much you have. There are also criminals in real world that are targeting Bitcoin holders.
733  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: November 15, 2023, 09:36:48 AM
    OP
You should have read the terms and conditions of the casino or gambling site before creating an account. Many accounts do not require KYC, but some casinos or gambling sites do not require KYC when withdrawing dollars from the account, but when withdrawing more than a certain amount of dollars, KYC is required. However, doing KYC is definitely an extra security because doing KYC reduces the chances of serious malpractices like money laundering, fraud, and fraud.

Perhaps that is the OP's point, I mean when you deposit you are not being asked for KYC but suddenly when you win big and taking money from casino's suddenly they will ask for a KYC? But I think there are casinos now that before your register, they will tell you that there is a big possibility that they will be asking for personal documents and to KYC anyone, I think that will be the trend already.

So the burden is to us gamblers, to read the TOS before signing to any casinos.

And that could be the norm now, if we don't want to sign up and be KYC'd then do not do it, simply as that. There could be still casinos that don't require KYC before we can play or at least you need to missed some thresholds before they asked for it.
    734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 15, 2023, 08:20:31 AM
    Just two questions here:
    1. Dis the family of this young man went too extreme in trying to help stop their brother from gambling addiction or not?

This is not extreme, this is how casinos also worth, I have a cousin who is addicted to gambling way before. If he leaves the house at night and the wife knows that he will be gambling, he will call the casinos themselves and describe what the husband (my cousin), will look like and so he will be ban from entering the casinos. My casino will tell me he didn't know how it happened, but later on he understand that the wife called the casinos, describe what he is wearing and his looks and description and that's ti.

    2. Assuming you are this young man and you had to run to a distant location to carry out your gambling as you are allowed to gambling within your neighborhood and luckily you won huge sum of million dollars. Would you share that money with your loved ones who were barring you from gambling or you will just stay off from them and live new found wealthy live alone?

9 out 10, if a gambler won a lot of money, they will come back and play for more, resulting to a big lost. So I doubt that it will crossed his mind to share his winnings, but instead what in his mind is to continue to gamble again until he lose all that money.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: November 15, 2023, 05:13:17 AM
They (addicts) will leave it if they find new joy, but that is really difficult to do when those subjects tend to get worse in terms of their quality of life once addicted. . Solutions such as reading, painting, volunteering,... can all be considered meaningless in the eyes of gamblers. Sometimes we really want to help them, but it's hard to chase after people who don't have any stopping points, so when addicts' lives have to pay the price, it is also when they have ruined their own lives. Depending on the level of gambling addiction, in my opinion, the issue of greed needs to be clearly understood from a young age, so that when exposed to the social environment, people will realize what is the right thing to do. In a few small cases where I have seen addicts who are conscious of the fact that they do not want to owe money, or maybe they cannot borrow money to continue playing, some free play platforms are also an option to help them relieve their stress.

In short they will have to find other means to engage themselves and make a new hobby so that they will totally forget about gambling. But I'm not sure if there is a cost effective way, and the only thing that crosses my mind is that gamblers just quitting for good. There could be something that will happen in their lives that will totally make a U-turn and forget about gambling.

But it's very difficult because we all know that once gambling addiction kicks-in, our decision is clouded, thus we don't have total control of ourselves. And probably if there's something happening in our lives, like maybe the gamblers family are falling apart because of his addiction that he might prioritize things and promise to his wife that he will stop gambling for good so that they won't have a broke family. Something that will change the heart of the gambler for good because of a bad consequences of his gambling.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 15, 2023, 03:34:40 AM
Fighters that we think are going to be underdogs are underdogs come Sunday it will be regular boxing day, where the favorites will dominate or even knock out the underdogs but I'm hoping for a very different scenario, like a huge upset or the underdogs putting up a valiant effort even thought they lose by decision, one case here is the Ngannou - Fury recent fight where we all thought its another favorite underdog scenario, but Ngannou putting a major surprise.
I hope to see this happens in any of the fight this Sunday, just a gallant effort from the underdogs is already good.
People are paying to have a good fight so I hope we'll see something unexpected come Sunday

Yup, at least they will give us a good fight as most probably the underdog will lose here as Stevenson is a clever boxer and him being the loser is a slim possibility. I'm hoping that De Los Santos would engage and take the fight to Shakur because if not, this could become a snore feast as the latter is more of a counter-puncher.

Bookies predict that this would end up in a decision so i'm really hoping that this would not be a boring fight.

The odds are quite appealing, especially with 12 rounds to wait for the KO to occur. While Stevenson isn't known for being a knockout artist, De Los Santos is an aggressive fighter. If De Los Santos becomes careless or desperate, Stevenson might capitalize on the opportunity to land effective counter punches, potentially wearing down De Los Santos.

I agree with your prediction, mate. A 3.30 odds are always more enticing than 1.28.

We will see, that's quite appealing odds for a KO for Stevenson, specially if he will do it in under 10.5 rounds. And if someone either bet on that, it's going to be a big win as the odds is above 3.xx which is very attractive.

738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 15, 2023, 12:53:44 AM
That might be the case as it is already reported that it will be a double header fight,

    - Fury vs Usyk
    - Joshua vs Wilder

Bust since Fury is not going to be physically available on December it changes the picture of the undercard as well. There were reports that Wilder wanted to go to England to chase Joshua, not sure if he did continue with this plan. Seems he didn't go though as this reports resurfaces that they are going to fight a different opponent this December as tune up fight. Hopefully they will be ready in February and should come out unscathed against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker.
Joshua vs. Wilder is an enticing matchup, but being on the undercard of Fury vs. Usyk would benefit them more. Now, they might just be adding some wins to their records, and people will continue to talk about them. Of course, they should win their respective fights for this significant matchup to happen.

Although Fury vs. Usyk is the main event, these two fighters were once champions, so people will also be interested in watching them.

Some big fights lack interesting undercard fights, but this one is a sure double-header.

Of course, it will be block buster card, I don't know, but I can't remember a fight in HW that has the top 1-4 in the same card. So this could make history as well, and definitely with the Saudi's beginning to be the biggest backer of boxing right now because of their old rich nation, it make sense that promoters like Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum are going in the Middle East and having a good connections to the billionaires in that country.

So it's a wise decision and we should expect this fight to be happening next year. Fury vs Usyk is on February. But it was reported that AJ and Wilder will have a tune up fight first just to make them busy as originally the fight is scheduled this December.

Hi folks. I published Blackjack 21 game with side bets and detailed analyses.
I would be glad if you download and support. Thanks.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yns.blackjack

Closed source program, not saying that it could have malware or what, but being a newbie and then presenting something like this, which doesn't look professional, we have to question what this app is all about, otherwise we won't simply download it and try.

As we all know that this market that we live it, there are are a lot of ways to lose our crypto thru downloading softwares that might have a malware on it. With that we won't simply trust anyone here asking us specially a newbie to try his app for gambling.

Sorry to burst the bubble to the OP.

And the question is how this people get your email by the way? And I doubt that the court is going to released this information to the public.

And to add what @stompix if ever someone decided to sell it and get their COG? How and where you are going to sell them? So it's a big risk, and we don't know what will happen to COG in the future. Maybe if this is not a scam and then a lot of them avail of this COG and suddenly sell everything they got, the price will obviously be affected and will go down.
