721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOBYTE [GBX] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance, & Decentralized on: March 12, 2018, 02:53:31 PM
why GOBYTE and not choose other masternodes?

There are several other masternode coins to choose from yes, i recommend not putting ALL into one single masternode coin. Diversify please.

People need to remember these young masternode coins are High Risk, Extremely High reward....you gotta think about how this masternode system has really only had a couple years to grow and be forked and remixed from Dash. So we really dont know how these masternode coins will do long term.

So why choose gobyte?
listed on exchanges
listed on whattomine
has working dev team and support from community
alot of activity in discord
growing team
large ROI on masternodes

Why not choose gobyte?
large premine (although allocated for development)
somewhat anonymous devs
young coin only months old

For those asking above what features does GBX have or why would someone choose to invest in it, read my post above.

I would like to add that GBX also has shared masternodes that will enable smaller investors to get consistent payouts if they cant afford a full masternode. Also would like to add that since the last update of the website the developers have become less anonymous.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: March 12, 2018, 02:25:27 PM
I just completed my test run of staking 10 BCO for 30 days. I was able to get 2 payouts comprised of about 90 different coins in very small fraction portions.

When I "claimed" my own coins after the 30 day period I was charged 0.55 BCO. That is a rediculous amount.

Maybe if you staked 1000 coins it would work out. But small amounts you will be losing money.

I thought that when staking you would also receive BCO not just the small fractions from trading pairs??

Also would like to add that volume has dropped off all exchanges, BCO seems to be no different
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you think younger generation is more open to technology? on: March 12, 2018, 02:12:01 PM
Ya of course, every kid now-a-days is entertained by an ipad or tablet, its incredible. By the time they are in their teens who knows what the tech will be like...

So as a tech point of view yes but that doesn't mean they will be using bitcoin....more people are into crypto because of the lack of control of central banks and finite supply....younger generations may not understand this yet.

This poor slob claims he came across btc in 2009, that his 'math is trash' so he couldn't grok the whitepaper so it's a bubble because other things were bubbles too

Lol at that guy, the way he wrote the article seems like he is just trolling the entire community...

where do these people come from? they only want to come out and trash bitcoin when prices are down and they can talk about how they are laughing at us. Roll Eyes
725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you stomach the dips? on: March 09, 2018, 08:46:58 PM
You can try and short to buy back in lower but if you dont have some strong technical analysis to back it up its likely you will trade poorly.

Been stomaching this shit for years, when you understand that most of these coins have a FIXED supply but increasing DEMAND it makes it alot easier to just hold and wait.

If you cant treat the money you put into crypto like a savings account then your in for a stressful time. Good luck
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? on: March 09, 2018, 08:40:06 PM
everything depends on BTC now Sad even if a coin is one of the best coins, it has been all going down and down Sad

I would say thats only half true, some of the top coins like ETH may be independent from BTC price swings because of the addition of USD/Fiat pairs....but in general most people think of the crypto market as a whole at the moment, hopefully in coming years this will change and we wont be at the mercy of btc price
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CVC] CIVIC Tokensale Successfully Completed on: March 09, 2018, 08:21:28 PM
At first I did not understand why we are growing. Then I looked in twitter and immediately everything became clear. Soon 1 $

I think soon 10$ after maybe 100$
Of course, in the next life!!!

Please wait few month  Wink

Maybe in the next year this could be possible or Bitcoin would increase to 100k than we will this price. Good chance for increase of price because it looking nice project with really professional team.

I hope they comming with some announcements , then he can fly really good .

He told in a video start of januarie ,the will announc something after 6 weeks ..

Somebody knows anything?Huh?

I think we will hear about new partnerships on march

Hopefully they will. Civic is very quiet on the marketing and announcement side of things.

Everyone says this, and don't get me wrong partnerships are great and all but I just don't think they really have a huge effect on the price. A lot of other projects are in talks and are announcing partnerships too....it's like the alt coin market has a mind of its own.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: March 08, 2018, 09:59:35 PM
It is worth reading white paper or not?

The white paper is actually quite an entertaining read. The problem is how much of it will in actuality turn into reality, especially with the fish commonly racking their fishy brains with the deposit procedure.

The market research I did shows that not even a 1/10 of a percent converted to crypto poker and it seems to be on a  decline. Poker players laughed at anonymous online poker and it failed to get players despite endless freerolls on every site.  Free money and nobody is buying.   During the poker bust there was deep hatred for the dollar and scared americans who didn't want to go to jail or have their accounts frozen and even during these times it flopped. That was the height of it about 5 years ago. There isn't even a number to throw out you because most crypto poker sites closed down.

Seals has 3 half tables going right now.  There is an embarrassing 6 people playing on the entire site.

Coinpoker had about 30 when I logged on last night, this appears to be the last 30 people that left seals so the market hasn't grown, just shifted to where more freerolls are, which isn't exactly a working business.   There are hundreds in the freerolls but but these are not real customers and don't convert to profits, just leeches looking for pennies. When the freeroll gets out the cash tables pickup for about 10 minutes until everyone spends the 50 cents and leaves. The site is mostly non english speaking. Lots of latinos, europeans and a small lot of westerners, even indian people are playing here which I rarely ever see online.  It's clearly the people from this forum and ex seals along with the small miners and promoters who have $2 in ethereum and want to get rich.

I'm looking at the freerolls, pretty funny but what would you expect from the magicians that scour this site.

I tend to agree with this, I have a lot of online poker experience dating back to full tilt, poker stars ect ect... I lived through the department of justice seizure of full tilt and witnessed a lot of people getting their money lost or frozen by full tilt. Ever since then online poker has never been the same.

I agree that almost all attempts at creating a crypto related poker room has failed, despite all those bot riddled freerolls that did nothing but liquidate their capital. When betcoin shutdown it was a real indicator that the poker world just is not ready or interested in a crypto related room....which honestly is a real shame because if done right a blockchain based room could prevent what happened with full tilt.

The only room that seems to be doing ok is Nitrogen, which is more of a sports betting site

Still looking good:

 Grin

Graph after graph. I guess eventually one of these will be right.
All seems a bit like voodoo to me.

Self fulfilling prophecy?

I would be extremely cautious with this...most likely a scam or a poorly coded bot at best.

I know that coding a profitable poker bot is extremely difficult and if this guy really has profitable bots he wouldn't be selling them he would be using them himself, remember that in crypto if its something where you have to send money first or if it seems to good to be true it probably is.

731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: March 08, 2018, 08:06:11 PM
If you compare the chart of ICX to other big ERC20 projects last year you will see similar price action

Aside from the fundamentals of certain coins compare ICX chart to DRGN, STORM, TRON ect ect

they all seem to be following same type of market cycles...
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans jail a 24 year old for selling bitcoins wthout asking for ID on: March 08, 2018, 07:54:37 PM
I thought a US judge ruled that bitcoin was a commodity...

Flour is a commodity. So you are saying if the store sells me some flour they need to ID me and ask me for my KYC information? I buy millions of dollars worth of copper for the company I work for every day, nobody asks me for KYC info.

The US government is going completely insane worrying about something they will come to realize they cannot stop.

Don't get me wrong, this guy should have reported his sales to the IRS. But I think the over-zealousness here on behalf of law enforcement is a problem.

This is a really good point, they categorize it as property (commodity) but then other agencies pretty much treat it as a currency. But this type of stuff isn't so new, Charlie Shrem got hit with the same kind of deal, facilitating money laundering. Atleast that's what I remember reading about his situation with bit instant.

733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 08, 2018, 05:52:10 PM
The 2014 rhyme continues , back to 6-7k now again then a slow climb to 11-12 one final time where break out fails and the long slow slide to 2-2.5k at year end can finally begin. Get this price down so we can get these gox coins at decent prices and then ride the 100k train in 2021.

Been worried about this for months...maybe ive been delusional this whole time with the thinking that "another bear market cant last that long, institutional money now".....

734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: March 08, 2018, 05:45:13 PM
Factom Management should do something about social media especially twitter and Telegram... The twitter account link on this thread leads to an account with just six followers of which the tweets are private  Undecided

That probably isnt the official factom twitter, dont be surprised if this ANN never gets updated, they are most active on slack and reddit, most projects now-a-days could care less about this forum..it's outdated and riddled with bots.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans jail a 24 year old for selling bitcoins wthout asking for ID on: March 07, 2018, 09:59:09 PM
If you thought this was bad read the case of Jason Klein, middle aged family man nearly sentenced to years in prison just for selling bitcoin.

http://time.com/5161663/bitcoin-sting-jason-klein-crypto-irs-money-transmitter/

It goes to show the lack of understanding by LE and the clandestine tactics they use to basically label someone a criminal.

TLDR- He ended up getting a reduced sentence to probation after they had to spend all their money and get the whole town to vouch for him....it's sad really. I am embarrassed to be American anymore  Cry

It sounds really quite ridiculous, I like how it says they neglected to comment on why he was targeted. I do feel like there's probably more behind the story than they're letting on.

It mentions how they said they were going to use the bitcoin to buy drugs. I don't know exactly but I don't see how that's any slight on his part. If for example you have an employee and you pay them and they go out and buy drugs that's not your fault.

It is pretty ridiculous....but it's just open season on anyone that's involved in any kind of bitcoin transaction that may be tied to money laundering.

But where is the victim ya know?
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: March 07, 2018, 04:45:42 PM
Doubt much will come out of this investigation? What can the SEC do to assist global investors on a ghost company not registered in the USA?

In Garza's case the SEC (and the FBI and other alphabet agencies) went through all the online shit - yes, including Bitcointalk posts - trying to figure out who's involved. If some of those Bitconnect shills on youtube can be found in violation of securities laws - that would be a good outcome.

Good point.

I would be really worried if I was one of those top promoters, its open season for scammers and fraud in crypto, there has been so much light shed on crypto in the last 6 months in terms of cracking down on fraudulent ICOs and scammers....it wouldn't surprise me if some of these people are made an example out of.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: March 07, 2018, 04:38:00 PM
It's only a matter of time I think, that some type of blockchain related company or project finds it's way into commercials or a movie or something.

Bitcoin was talked about on house of cards, it also sponsored a college football bowl game, doge community got a nascar driver to rep them on his car.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: March 07, 2018, 04:03:28 PM
obviously ethereum,
ripple  is centralized project, which is can control HSBC bank .
ethereum is more volatile then ripple.

remember that ethereum ran an ico in 2014, they are subject to SEC action...alot of people see ethereum as just as much a scam as ripple, look up tone vays, that dude hates on eth and xrp pretty hard
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: March 06, 2018, 09:45:12 PM
I will not even prove it, you're a sheep! When developers mint another's coin, while their own falls, this all is said! I wrote on the weekend in the chat that until Wednesday bwk would drop to 15k and until the end of the month to 8k and I was blocked! But I said the truth! Almost Wednesday and a coin already costs almost 14k! This is the usual shitcoin scheme! Only the sheep all believe and believe in it, but it falls and falls! The course will stop only when the POS starts and only !!! Developers do not know what is trading on the stock exchange and because of this the rate will be lower and lower! The developers have already raised all the money raised in USD and maintain the coin rate is not going to! Will bring to POS and there will be a usual bubble, without prospects and without hope for the future! Like a sailboat in the calm! Already hundreds of coins have passed along this path and you all believe! These coins are created for mining and plum to profit! And to buy MN at the very beginning, in order to fend off for 1-3 months, further the rate falls down and MN brings in 2-3 times less!

I can't even understand half the stuff you are saying  Cheesy

but ok thanks for your input, you obviously don't care for this coin, so move on, good luck to you

Blame CNBC, their headlines are rediculous, moneytalks was showing people how to buy ripple at $3 then telling people to sell at $1
