742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy using Bitcoin on: July 06, 2019, 04:54:39 PM
I think the first thing you should have done is to learn more about bitcoin before making a purchase with it because clearly you don't really know much about it.

Even with fiat currency, many people do scam with fake websites, so you don't need to place the blame on Bitcoin. It's your duty to verify the authenticity of any website you intend to make purchases online before doing so.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your most weird betting experience? on: July 06, 2019, 12:24:55 PM
Nice and funny stories here  Grin
I have not really have anything close to being weird since I have been gambling.
It maybe called weird but it's really mostly luck and I have tends to think that some people are just lucky to have it  Grin
The one I can call weird for me is playing a week at a stretch and losing in all games. It was a sorrowful week! I guess this is weird enough.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes Bitcoin Valuable? on: July 05, 2019, 10:38:51 PM
I don't need to read a book to tell me how important Bitcoin is, for now or in the future.
Bitcoin has shown and has proven to be a financial advocate but for people of the Middle, higher and lower class.
The most important part of it is that it is and will be the future currency.

746  Economy / Gambling / Re: New stunning crypto gambling project on: July 05, 2019, 03:39:32 PM
Making it free do not guaranty that it will be genuine. The truth is, most people who set up a free service with minimal advertising on it earns from it in one way or the another. What you should work on is setting up something that is different from what we have been seeing.

Moreover, putting all you have stated in action is better than giving a reassuring theory.

748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uganda says cryptocurrency is risky on: July 01, 2019, 10:25:26 AM
Well, whether cryptocurrency or not, investment is all about taking risk and so does any business.

Everyone is entitled to their own decision and actions, so he shouldn't specifically tell them not to invest in it. His major concern should be on how to run a fair and transparent government and not trying to control the people on what they should use their money for.

Majority of citizens in Uganda gained and are still gaining financial freedom through cryptocurrency; that he should appreciate.

750  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com scam - lost funds on: June 23, 2019, 08:00:07 AM
OP, some of the scams that some users might ravage against Blockchain.com may not even be their fault but from the users carelessness. There have been phishing sites online in disguise as Blockchain and most users usually makes the mistakes of signing up with them. Just ensure that these victims truly signed up in blockchain.com and not something like blockschain.com or some adverts related to them.

Besides, you might want to move the thread to scam accusation section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 as most victims make those complains there.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: With Bitcoin 33% higher, did technical analysis cause the move? on: June 21, 2019, 09:07:11 AM
Technical analysis has no contributions to the way the market reacts. Though, sometimes it affects a little but most times, what gives a big shift to the price of bitcoin can be a contribution to the way investors reacts to certain Bitcoin events. Its more like a psychology of the mind; as people's behaviour and actions are triggered by events.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada approved paying bitcoin with Bitcoin for Innisfil town on: May 02, 2019, 01:03:59 AM
Sure a welcoming new and congratulations to Canada. I guess this helps to conclude that Canada is indeed more according than most countries in the West. This alone can bring great positive attention to Bitcoin making it adoptions open.
If we could see more of this from major countries like US, Britain and a few others Bitcoin will be certainly souring higher in the next few years.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's next after "When Binance"? on: April 11, 2019, 07:25:48 PM
The bitter truth is that out of 75 percent of investor who per take in ICO are only interested in the money and not what actually what they have too offer.  That the more reason why they mostly ask for exchange listing immediately ICO.  Cryptocurreny Investors are always looking for a double value of their money.
754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What causes the sudden surge of market? on: April 11, 2019, 03:36:26 PM
I think it was because of the news that China governments and regulatrary agency has shut down mining activities.  Many traders and investors see this a good news and since this is going to lower supply they believe that it is time to invest because price is going to surge.

You are all that are always thinking that China has so much influence in Bitcoin price should really stop. China is just a country that have citizens interested in cryptocurreny just like every other country.
Every actions they take don't have major impact on Bitcoin price. Whether they shut down an exchange or open an exchange, it won't be affecting Bitcoin and also same to other countries. Price of Bitcoin can be affected by market activities, adoptions and circulation.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $10k Before June, Possible? on: April 11, 2019, 08:21:15 AM
I could definitely see BTC at $10k or perhaps even greater by June if things go right in the short-term (we don't drop down past the mid $4500s and we breach $6k reasonably soon, etc), but in the end it's anybody's guess. Too early to tell if this is the beginning of a true bull market yet, though I do think the bottom's now in. There's going to be significant resistance at $6k too if we make it up there soon as that was the bottom for several months.

I don't see $10k in June but $7k. No matter how stable the market may be or if things still continue to turned a positive way, the price of $10k is still too much. The market needs to take time in growing and that's show how healthy it is. Moving to quickly to that price will result to it dropping back again.
756  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the next economic collapse trigger massive crypto adoption? on: April 10, 2019, 10:52:33 PM
I personally feel it has to do with trust and the psychological well-being of the people then. We all know that many people believe in fiat, so if fiat fail them, will they be that psychological stable to trust and put all their assets in cryptocurreny? They  may likely go for gold, silver and diamond that have always worked in the past.
Though, it also depends if Bitcoin have create a huge impact on the world prior before the supposed economic crisis. Since they have seen it work and have considerable trust in  it, they might opt in for it thus causing mass adoption.
757  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is cryptopia dead? on: April 10, 2019, 07:22:17 PM
We could say Cryptopia is on a process of being 'resurrected' because the exchange was recently hacked, and suffer a significant amount of losses. The NZ police already made an investigation, and the cryptopia team is working on to reopen the exchange to the regular state. You can see the latest update about the exchange on the official Twitter account https://twitter.com/Cryptopia_NZ

Involving the police, that is the best step to take I most say. Though it may take long but I hope those involved in this should be brought to law.
Though I'm confuse, I have been hearing different stories that no money was made away at the cost of the event. Don't know how true is this, I guess we just wait till the website is fully updated to know whats next.
758  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance a “high” regulatory risk on: April 09, 2019, 10:56:59 PM
I won't want to judge an exchange too be risky because of the KYC related issue. I mean, if any exchange site should have been on that site, then it should be bithumb. The amount of hacking they are receiving lately is disheartening even after the security the KYC they request from users. Moreover no exchange can give you an hundred security.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you look for when investing in new projects? on: April 09, 2019, 07:10:59 PM

I was thinking of more normal non ICO projects.

From my understanding of what you mean by ' normal non ICO projects,' I guess what you mean is an altcoins which ICO is already conducted and the coin listed. If that is the case, then you should chose from the top listed coins in coinmarketcap. Aside just choosing, you should be aiming for project which has a working project or services. Though utility could be an additional plus.
760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin posts seven consecutive weeks of gains on: April 09, 2019, 08:19:43 AM
Yes definitely there will be different types of memes will pop up again soon because of this positive news about the market . Lol by the way this consistent progress of market is already made by the bull trend IMO, which is that is the reason why thre's a consecutive gains within week but unfortunately not full strength because it still weak . If we want it to go further lets continue spreading positive news about bitcoin so that it can obtain more support to fly above again like what happened before.

I agree we should keep on spreading positive news about Bitcoin and all that but unlike you say that the changes seems to be weak, I believe no price changes are weak or too small.
Even if there is $1 price increase, it makes a huge difference because it shows there is active market activities and its not just been stagnant.
