741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Chart November and December 2023!! on: November 13, 2023, 09:00:01 PM
I voted for $40k  - $45k.

It's a conservative estimates for me, and I chooses this price range because it seems that the somewhat the bullish sentiments has stop as we have been in the sideways again. So this could last maybe a couple of weeks or until This November. It's not that bad though, maybe we are just gathering another momentum and if there is a big news in the December then we can simply shoot up again to $40,000 as this is the biggest resistance.
742  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan defaulted by [Edwardard] on: November 12, 2023, 01:37:52 PM
Hello @Shasan I can see he is in a signature campaign with coinomize project will suggest you write to his manager to withhold his weekly payment and then send it to you as payback instead of him not paying any to you for the whole weeks with interest I believe this will also help. whenever he is not getting paid from his campaign then he will have to write you back, I trust his manager will understand as well. I don't know if other person already suggested this to you as well.

LOL, you are in the same campaign and yet you don't see that he has not been paid since June because he suddenly disappeared. He still carry the signature though because obviously he didn't removed it.

So very unfortunate @Shasan, he used to be a good campaign manager here in 2017, then suddenly disappeared, and then in the last year, resurfaces and was able to join signature campaigns because of that reputation. Not saying that it was his plan all along to scam when he comes back, but it likely was in his mind and took a big loan of $1000.

Supported the flag.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 12, 2023, 10:29:17 AM
Luck and skill aren't the factors to achieve success in gambling, gambling is success when you has a self control.

Self control is the most important because you can't make money through casino, in the end you will lose if you keep gambling. The money you make from the casino is just a "temporary profit", you need to looking back about the money you spent from the first time you try to gamble.

But even if you have self-control you can still lose in gambling. What if you have bad luck, losing successively like 5 days in row? So you can't do anything about it, even if you say that you have self-control. And with that, you still need to some luck in your side as it beats strategy. I know it's going to be controversial statement, but games like slot machines, if all the stars align with you, even with just a small bet, you can win win, grand or major jackpot.

That's why it's really hard to get that opportunity, another example is lottery, yeah there could be people who won multiple times in a lottery, but I think majority won because that time, when they bet, everything just fall into places.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 12, 2023, 09:24:16 AM
There is news of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder fighting in Saudi Arabia on December 23. They won't be facing each other but instead Joshua would fight Otto Wallin and Wilder would fight Joseph Parker.

These are very good fights. Otto Wallin was one of Fury's toughest opponents and has no losses other than that fight. Joseph Parker is a former world champion who is still considered a top contender and he looked impressive on the Fury-Ngannou undercard.

https://www.boxingscene.com/joshua-wallin-wilder-parker-heavyweight-double-explored-december-23-part-riyadh-season--179177

Oh, I thought that this two is going to face in Saudi, perhaps there is a chance because Fury vs Usyk is going to be pushed through as well. Yeah, this could be just a tune up fight for this two.

Nevertheless, on this two, Joshua is somewhat very questionable if he still has it since he lost twice and as you have said, Otto Wallin could be a big test for Joshua here. Of course we wanted them to win their fight so that it will be blockbuster HW in Saudi Arabia next year and it will create a lot of money for this boxers.

I thought they would be the undercard for the Fury vs. Usyk fight, but since that's not happening this year, Wilder and AJ probably chose to fight other opponents. It could be a tune-up fight so they'll be prepared once the schedule for the unification fight is fixed. That's good for them; it keeps them active and in full shape for what could potentially be the biggest fight in Saudi Arabia.

Quote
Francis Ngannou though will have to wait on who he is going to face next.

Time will come but probably not happening this year, he made a good impression, sure the fans will watch his fight and promoters would not have a problem promoting the fight.

That might be the case as it is already reported that it will be a double header fight,

- Fury vs Usyk
- Joshua vs Wilder

Bust since Fury is not going to be physically available on December it changes the picture of the undercard as well. There were reports that Wilder wanted to go to England to chase Joshua, not sure if he did continue with this plan. Seems he didn't go though as this reports resurfaces that they are going to fight a different opponent this December as tune up fight. Hopefully they will be ready in February and should come out unscathed against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoins do ordinary people have? on: November 12, 2023, 08:39:43 AM
Would it be a satisfactory quantity if I had 0.1?

I don't think there are numbers that we should confined ourselves, as majority of us here are just average joe and regular investors. What's important is that how much you can save and accumulate in your wallet and how much you have profited already if you have been for at least 1 bitcoin cycle already.

If you are interested on the distribution, you can check it out here:

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

And so everyone can see where you at with that statistics.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund for Bitcoin promotion on: November 11, 2023, 11:08:38 PM
Indeed. Bitcoin doesn't have a central authority promoting it.  Instead, Bitcoin depends on the businesses and people already using it to get the word out.  This grassroots kind of marketing lets Bitcoin grow more naturally as people and companies talk about why they like Bitcoin and how it helps them and  it's not like some big advertising campaign shoving Bitcoin at you.  The businesses who take Bitcoin or use its technology have a stake in seeing it succeed, so they want to spread the news about how Bitcoin can benefit people.  This means Bitcoin catches on because people actively choose to start accepting and using it, not because some central power forced it on everyone all at once.  The decentralized nature of Bitcoin puts its promotion in the hands of the users, and that's how it should be.

Yes, we have survived the first decade without any promotions, hence that why in the beginning there are a lot of attacks on bitcoin and calling it names. But I guess this makes Bitcoin more stronger, as they keep on attacking it even at this point, we don't bother by it and just continue to buy and accumulate and now we have a country that make its legal. But if there are individuals who are going to promote it, let's say Michael Saylor, obviously he has some narrative behind. He is one of the biggest whales so far, so indeed he has to make a sales pitch whether he can, be it in his social media or going out in public to talk about BTC. But for us just average joe and ordinary investors, we might cross path with other people that might ask questions regarding Bitcoin and answer them the with the knowledge that we have. However, it's not a direct promotion, we will simply want people to discover it and hopefully make the (right) decision to invest.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 11, 2023, 11:04:21 AM
And by the way, Wilder is not the toughest opponent Fury faced, it's Wlad and it's not even close. Wilder had been ducking Wlad and then AJ, he was cherry-picking and hostaging the WBC belt for many years. It was his first time stepping up against Fury who just returned from years of retirement thinking he could take advantage of it.

Fury fought an older Wladimir, and if he had fought him during Wladimir's prime, I believe Fury wouldn't stand a chance. Wilder was probably so hyped during the time he faced Fury due to his record, boasting a 100% KO rate. Even now, if we deduct the outcomes against Fury, he still looks like a very dangerous fighter. But Wilder fell into the hands of Fury...First, a split draw, second, TKO, and then lastly, KO.

Honestly, if Wilder and Joshua were to face each other, I find it a very interesting fight to watch because both fighters are slowly coming back to being champions. But if I had to choose, I'd put my bet on Wilder as he was only beaten by one fighter, which is Fury, while Joshua has losses to two different boxers already, two from Usyk and one from Andy Ruiz.

I think Wlad was already 40 at that time. I'm also taking prime Wlad over these current heavyweights. He's not just big but very strong, high IQ, and has power in both hands. I remember when Wilder's team mentioned they weren't ready to face Wlad for the undisputed championship.

Yes, he was about that age if I'm also not mistaken, so he is way past his prime and about to get out of boxing. But he gave Fury a good fight even. Wlad in his prime is very scary and I think it was the first time that we have seen a HW boxer with a body builder physique, he was a different specimen when he and his brother arrived in the HW scene.

AJ and Wilder aren't at their peaks anymore and both are a bit mentally broken. I believe the odds will remain close with Wilder most likely taking a slight edge. But I'll be betting on AJ if it happens. AJ has the better skills, he can somehow box and has a decent defense. Wilder only needs a single punch to put AJ to sleep but if he can't do it in the first 5 rounds, he might start to fatigue and he has no defense. Wilder's defense is his offense so there is nothing he can do when he's running out of gas.

True, there's no more enigma between the two, they have been broken already specially AJ, beaten twice by the same fighter, and then Ruiz take that 0 from him. Wilder though still possessed a one punch KO and we all know that AJ's chin has been broken. So if Wilder hits that chin square, he will go down and maybe he will be taken out with just and kiss the canvass for good.
748  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: November 11, 2023, 07:35:22 AM
Now we are above 37k, so we can say that it is getting even better and should be considered a little bit better compared to even when this topic has started, that's an important thing. At around 34k or so when this topic started, we are %!0 better than when it did, and that is just since OP wrote the topic, if we look at the bottom in 2022, we are MUCH bigger, more than double, from 15k to 37k, that is a serious increase without a doubt. I hope that we can continue with this type of increase, I would love to see another %150 or so increase in a year, that would make it worthwhile to keep holding it. I believe it could definitely end up with a greater increase too, potentially even higher.

Yes, and with that, the bullish sentiments will go and continue for this month. We have reach almost $39,000 and I wouldn't be surprised if by Monday when everything is back we could make another push to it or even the next round numbers - $40,000 which is going to be big for us if we touches that this month.

Nevertheless,  we have a lot of time till the end of the year.

And there are a lot of things that might come, a very positive news that will push the market to at least $45,000-$50,000 pre-halving price. However, I do hope that there will be no selling at December as usually there could be some investors wanted to take profits for Christmas and New Year holidays.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 11, 2023, 06:31:26 AM
If people of your country lose 10% of total GDP by gambling then it must be said that people of your country are very much attracted to gambling. You have collected this information only from the official sites but there are various unofficial sites in which a large number of people are gambling. If the people of your country could earn the amount of money you mentioned by gambling then it would be good news for the economy of your country but the people of your country have lost this huge amount of money only through gambling. Based on the information that you have collected, if the media of your country reports, then maybe the people of your country and the government of your country will be aware enough about gambling. I am amazed by the statistics that people of a country lose 10% of their GDP by gambling.

This is just one case though, there could be other countries that have been losing more if we a look at the GDP and the amount of money they are losing. So it's not only Greece that are attracted to gambling. On the other hand Macau for example is really benefiting from gambling, as they are one of  the Mecca of gambling. Gamblers goes to that country to play and in term it generates a lot of money for them and their government.

Here are some numbers in 2017:

https://www.statista.com/statistics/552821/gambling-losses-per-adult-by-country-worldwide/

And now we understand why Australia's government right now is implementing ways to curb their gambling addiction. This data is 6 years old, so it could be that the numbers are higher now.
750  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] COINS.GAME | Most Rewarding Crypto Casino | Signature Campaign Up to $100 on: November 11, 2023, 06:25:16 AM
I'm also not familiar with using LN, however I have been using Electrum and obviously it has implemented LN already. So I'm willing to learn LN and looking at the https://boltz.exchange/swap to swap LN BTC to Onchain BTC.

And I would agree that it's the better option for now if the fees continue to go up. I do agree with @BenCodie, even if we are going to be paid with onchain Bitcoin either by 2 weeks or 4 weeks (a month), it is still going to be expensive.

I also think that maybe stablecoin like TRC-20 might be a good alternative.

Royse777 can you answer our questions or someone from BitUbet team will do it?
I visited website and I saw that design is almost identical with Rollbit casino, so s there any connection between this casinos or not?
This is best seen after opening sports page on both websites.

I don't know but maybe it's just me, but I don't see any similarity on my end?

The casino is at least 245 days old one because if you see the whois data of the site then it was registered 245 days ago and that's an indicator that this casino has been online for more than 200 days at least. The announcement thread as we all know was posted by Royse and I believe that Royse is going to be the campaign manager to manage the signature campaign of the BitUbEt.

I warmly welcome BitUbEt on our forum and I hope that soon they will launch their signature campaign in order to get exposure on this forum. Their site seems good to me and with some promotion they will get some good players on their platform.

Well it's good if we are going to see another signature campaign from a crypto based online casinos. And it's just proper that it will be in this great community. Yes, there are a lot of competition out there and for sure BitUbet.com knows it.

But we will have to wait and see if Royse if going to handle it, as he put a disclaimer that this ANN thread is manage by the team themselves, and Royse responsibility is to post this thread. Although they could have been advised to buy a copper membership and they can post it themselves.

In any case, welcome to the community and hopefully you will stay here. Best of luck to your new casino.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 09, 2023, 11:00:37 AM

Paul is making boxing a joke, no one ever heard of Andre August til he announced this fight. For all we know he just paid this guy in advance $50.000 to sleep whenever he do his signature move.
While I agree that both the Paul's are giving boxing a bad name, someone must be enjoying watching cause they do ok in the PPV market. It's really no different than McGregor and Mayweather, people found a way to get paid with some popular figures going at it. The only way it stops is if people stop paying for it, but thats not going to happen.

I don’t think Jake Paul is giving boxing a bad name. He’s putting in the work and matching up against better and better opponents. I won’t be surprised in another couple years when he gets a legitimate shot at a title.

Robert Garcia the boxing trainer stated that you can have a lot of wins and a title shot if you have a good promoter and you pick your fights, you can have a title shot and that's possible with Jake Paul, after his loss against Fury he seems to cherry-pick fights now, he loses his momentum because of that loss and he cannot afford to have a second loss, Jake Paul will lose his reputation and his PPV appeals.

Quote
I looked up his opponent as well. Dude seems like a legit boxer. While I’d prefer to see Jake beat up celebrities, you can’t hate on him for doing his best to have a legitimate professional boxing career.
He is a legit boxer but with bad records, not a record that is main event-worthy it's obvious who's going to win here, good pick for Jake Paul and a risky fight too if Andre pulls up an upset.

Not sure though if he has lost his PPV or popularity as he continue to make a lot of money even at that lost. So he still continue to look for boxers that he thinks he can beat, in this case a relatively unknown but has a lot of experience with the name of August. And so with his hype still very high, he needs to take advantage of his name and milk his "boxing fans" to buy his fights and then make millions.

And he is not a bad promoter as well, a savvy business man. So who knows after his career in exhibitions fights, maybe he can go professional someday. But for now, he is slowly getting into it, looking for a fight against a not so bad boxer.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: November 09, 2023, 10:39:51 AM
As the market is currently at a good level hovering around $35k. We have seen the price of Bitcoin rise sharply towards the end of October, although we know that a rapid rise is not a good sign and it could fall again. But I think as the market is currently pumping and fluctuating in a steady state, the market may not be dumping too much. Currently the market is in a good position and may go higher towards the end of the year and most likely to touch $40k. This could be because the price of Bitcoin is increasing rapidly as we have years ahead of us for the Bitcoin halving. We can certainly hope that since the halving, the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and become a bull market.

You'd agree with me that the movement of Bitcoin price is very tricky, it may look like the price isn't going up but with what we're seeing, I believe you have to change the thought you had that the price will go down soon, $36k is the current price and this was how it started last month before getting to $34k.
So from all indications I can see the price of Bitcoin not going down anytime soon but getting to $40k and above this month. November movement on Bitcoin price will be growing faster than that of October from the looks of things and by December it would even get to $50-$60k.

Yes, what another big increased for us, I'm seeing that $37,000 will be broken within the week as the investors right now is pouring their money on the market. Bad side though is that the fees are somewhat very high. And as I have said previously, someone looks like is doing it deliberately, to sabotage the network when we are about to break another important barrier which is $40,000.

So payment is needed from all of us and hopefully the network will be back to normal. But going back to the price, short term or at least at the end of the year, it's better to see and focus on the $40,000-$50,000. We don't know to have a big surge although we can't really stop it from happening if the ecosystem goes to $60,000. But we want a a price that we can maintain before the pre-halving and that could be around $40,000-$50,000.
754  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Events that lead to the adoption of a spot Bitcoin ETF on: November 09, 2023, 09:49:11 AM
Etf news is all over the place yet there is no single bitcoin spot etf is approved by the sec.

In my opinion the adoption of bitcoin in the etf wrap is good to push even more adopter and people who curious about the crypto but it seems the sec won't approve it until the final deadline 😭

And other news is that the vanguard dont want join the bitcoin etf if the vanguard join i think there will be something in sec
All the large speculators who bought their bitcoins and are waiting for the approval of the spot ETF are already rubbing their hands with the expected profit. The most ideal time for this is the period before the halving and if a manipulator is present in this market, then the SEC will approve spot ETFs.
In other countries, these funds exist and honestly are not in great demand.

And with that meeting, maybe it's just a matter of time before an approval will be there. Again, there could be huge pressures on the shoulder of SEC right now as the entities that are asking for approval are not just simply entities but they are huge in the financial world with trillions of dollars between this companies so they really weld huge influence even at a government regulars like SEC.

@hugeblack - yeah everything is pure speculation right now, but it sometimes fuels this bullish sentiments on the market. And I think it's one reason why we almost close to $36,000 right now.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 08:54:34 AM
Let us discuss in this thread the things one should completely avoid while gambling. Here are some suggestions according to me :

1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.

I don't think that you have to risk that. I mean if you are in a workplace, anyone can see what you are doing in your screen, not even your boss. So it's very hard to play even at lunch break. Although I will admit that there are moments that when I'm working, I will sneak out of the company go to a casino very near like 5 minutes drive. Then I will get back to the office once the break is over.

2) Do not take loan to gamble: Some young guys are so irresponsible that they take loans to gamble. It is a very bad move and can even produce life threatening conditions in future when loan recover agents knock your door.

This is controversial. I mean there are gamblers that will do anything to continue to their addictions. And one of them are borrowing money from either a bank or a person. But then again this is another risk for them. Taking loans and then pay it whenever they own. But then again, what if they lose? How can they pay it? So the decision of a gambling is very clouded but they could be willing to go this route.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 09, 2023, 03:48:05 AM
Yes, as per mempool the fees are:

And it looks like this is a coordinate attack in the last couple of weeks to really increased the fees and make the bitcoin network not usable for ordinary investors. We have this kind of situation before if I'm not mistaken, around May and we didn't do anything about it but just to wait for this whole BRC-20 ordinals to die down. But now they are at it again. Specially the timing though, when we are about to make a good run, some entities will have to ruined it.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 08, 2023, 09:11:24 PM
Just today, Tapales together with his promoter and their entourage are flying back to the Philippines. They are expected to have their final camp in the high-altitude mountains of Baguio. Tapales is indeed overtraining. Hopefully, he only had limited hard work when he was in LA because he also had a lot of sparring sessions there against Ancajas, Magsayo, Moton, etc. There are still around 2 months before the fight, Inoue is also expected to have started his light training. It's really interesting to see if Tapales' sacrificing a long preparation is enough to hurdle the Japanese superstar.
~snip~

I thought he was already in Baguio City  Grin. I think he's been doing only light training in the Wild Card gym of Freddie Roach because at that time when he flew to the US, the schedule of the fight was not yet definite but now that everything is already carved in stone, he could start the rigid training for this historic fight.

I think Baguio is a good choice for training since Japan is also cold in December, so no more adjusting to the weather when he flies to Japan.

Better to adopt the weather and like what you said Baguio city is one of the best place for the training. I think him and his camp are really doing all
the best that they can to bring something for his fans.

Knowing that he will be fighting one of this generation's best fighter, he needs to come out with potential that he can compete, and he can try to win and beat the monster.

Though the winning chance remain the same, but with good preparation and determination to win, we never know what fate will bring Tapales.

Baguio seems to be a like comparable to Big Bear in the US, high altitude and boxers train there to improved this stamina and improved their breathing. Plus it's quiet and there are no distractions, but I doubt that Baguio City is like that.

But in any case that's what the team wanted to achieved here, improved the gas tank of Tapales as for sure he will need a lot of it facing the monster. And for sure the climate in Baguio is cold and so is in Japan this December. So it's more for Tapales taking advantage of the weather and altitude of Baguio they could train intense there so that when they go out and fight, he will be acclimate in Japan's weather.

Shakur Stevenson has something to say after his fans are unhappy with him turning down the fight against Devin Haney.

Shakur Stevenson On Edwin De Los Santos Fight: "I'm Going To Surprise A Lot Of People"
https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/11/shakur-stevenson-on-edwin-de-los-santos-fight-im-going-to-surprise-a-lot-of-people/
Quote
Shakur Stevenson says fans are in for a “surprise” when they see him in his fight against Edwin De Los Santos next week in their twelve round headliner on ESPN at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
12 rounds. November 16th.
Quote
“I don’t know how the fight is going to go. I think I’m going to surprise a lot of people. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole career. On fight night, I’ll be doing what I’ve been consistently doing, and that’s been dominating.”
I don't doubt him and I bet his fans don't too, it's him who doubted himself after he rejected that chance against Devin Haney and used the 75/25 share to avoid the fight.
He can box, that's for sure and his record tells it. 20 wins, 10 knockouts. That's a great number and I think he can really surprise a lot of people or they won't be surprised because they actually believe he can.
But, there are times that a boxer has to take risks if he wants to be on the top and he was given that opportunity but he didn't grab it.
Well, he is young, and there's still a chance, this is his prime but next time he should not look at the money but the goal should be the championship belt.

And that is why there are boxing fans saying that he is one of the most avoided fighters right now in his division. His fans though should understand where he is coming from as far as the Haney fight goes. Shakur says that the Haney's are hiding on the fact that they don't want any of him by low balling Shakur, like 75/25 or 80/20 as other might say.

And then supposedly Frank Martin, another up and coming good fighter at 135 lbs, agreed in principle but then when the contract is offer, his team suddenly turn it down.

So he has to settle with Edwin De Los Santos here. It's a good test for Shakur, but I doubt that Edwin will last against Shakur in this fight. Could be another technical fight and we will see Shakur giving us another great performance.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your strategy on high volatility slot game? on: November 08, 2023, 08:00:38 PM
I play slot games but I always avoid high volatility slot games such as hacksaw and nolimit because this provider often gives more lose bets without hitting anything big even with bonus round. I’m not how did some players manage to become successful hitting huge multiplier from this provider.

Are betting fixed amount of spin on each game then move on to the next slot game after the you reach your target spin count or you wait to hit something big before you switch games.

In an event that you hit early huge multiplier, do you still play using same game or you immediately switch different game?

I don't think there will be any strategy for such high volatility games as obviously it's luck based. But for me, I will try to used the buy bonus for such high volatility games, instead of playing it like normal wherein I need to spend big money or for how many spins I have to make just to get the bonus rounds.

Buying bonus is like a short-cut and testing your luck for that day without putting too much pressure on your end. I mean, what if you win big? then maybe you can just exit and logout and withdraw and for sure you will be happy. Same with losing, just think of it as not your lucky day.

And at the end, the best strategy is to just play with the money that you can afford to lose.

The last time I listened to artificial intelligence predictions, it told me that the price would return to $50,000 before the end of this year, so the result varies according to the data it is provided with. It would be unwise to trust these tools, but I find that these predictions tend to be accurate.

Yes, I don't think that we should trust this tools, it might help us in other aspects in life, but to say that we are going to rely on it to say what the price will be at least at the end of the year? doesn't make sense at all.

Besides, if I'm not mistaken, the prediction of what will be the price at the end of the year is around $40,000-50,000. It might coincide with what the AI might say, but we have this at the middle of the year already. The data that the AI might be getting is what we have been seeing all alone.

So with or without AI, I will stick with my personal prediction. It could be a hit or miss though, but I didn't rely on some bots or AI tools to make that prediction for me.
