741  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: August 01, 2015, 01:43:03 AM
A heads up to all participants of this campaign that I'm taking over in managing the campaign once again. I've also created a spreadsheet to let users know how many posts are required of them for a full proportional payment. Link to the spreadsheet.

I would like to re-register:

Bitcoin Address: 1MKMFqagoiU7kbAkQBjaucdoe14WDgBvNm
Current Post Count: 371
Current Rank: Sr. Member

Did I get to re-register?
Or is the campaing on hold untill 12th of August?
You're re-registered in this campaign. You'll be paid next on August 12th according to the proportional payment spreadsheet I linked to above. When you're paid out then, you'll be re-registered for another month.

Sign-up posts/posts in this thread aren't counted. Spreadsheet hasn't been updated since I took over.

Do you know when you will have a chance to update the spreadsheet?

Regards
aCCTseller
I'll try and have the spreadsheet up to date in the next day or so. I suspect it'll take me a little time to update all post counts, payment TXIDs and payment amounts but I should be able to grind through it in the next day or so.
742  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: July 26, 2015, 05:31:54 PM
Just a heads up that hilariousandco will be managing this campaign until August 4th now, instead of August 1st. When I take over again on the 4th I'll create a spreadsheet with posts required for a full proportional payment for all users so everyone knows how many posts they need to make for a full proportional payment.
743  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: July 18, 2015, 07:55:42 PM
Right so we next get paid on the 12th August and then every 12th of the month from then ?
If a user's payment is due between now and August 12th then they'll be paid that first. After that, they'll be paid on August 12th and then the 12th of every month afterwards.
744  Economy / Services / Re: [5 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 18, 2015, 07:13:44 PM
Is the spreadsheet currently updated with the post counts?

Nope. I can go through yours and update you if you wish.

No no, its fine, I think i am all good. Just wondering.

I am still a little unsure how it ended up with this alligment of payout.

If you period expire here in July (like will do), what to do?
Do I sign up for a new term right away (and have a short term), or do I have to wait until the 12th?
You can sign up right away for a shorter term when you receive this month's payment. Then you'll automatically be re-registered on August 12th when the new payment method comes into effect.
745  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: July 17, 2015, 11:09:28 PM
Is the spreadsheet currently updated with the post counts?
Hilariousandco will either be updating the spreadsheet or updating a post in this thread with post counts. We'll have to see what he decides.
746  Economy / Services / Re: [5 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 15, 2015, 10:08:56 PM
I think that we'll be going with the proportional payment method suggested before in this thread. So if you receive your normal payment, say, 25 days before August 12th, you can continue with the campaign and will be paid 83% of your normal rate, for 83% of 50 posts. ( 25 days divided by the normal 30 days in a month equals about 83%)

I'm fine with that, just as long as you're working all that out and sending payments when you get back haha.
Perfect, will do. Wink
747  Economy / Services / Re: [5 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 15, 2015, 06:03:44 PM

I'm not sure what that means.  I am a Full Member with a Member slot.  I was asking if I could take the empty Full Member slot, and change to the FM signature.

It means if you wanted a Full Member slot you would have to sign up for a Full Member slot. You get paid at the rank you sign up at, not what you finish with.

I am fine with getting paid at the Member rank this month, but am I able to change my signature to Full Member and occupy the empty FM slot for next month?

From the looks of things there isn't a Rollin sig campaign to sign upto until 12th August

I get paid today, then I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, normally I would just re enrol for the next month, but looks like I need to go else where now ?

Hello there. I'd like to register for a Sr. Member slot ( i was previously registered as a Full Member).
Thanks! Smiley

From the looks of things there isn't a Rollin sig campaign to sign upto until 12th August

I get paid today, then I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, normally I would just re enrol for the next month, but looks like I need to go else where now ?

As per the title the campaign is temporarily closed but I'll speak with guitarplinker about whether he wants to open it up temporarily again and get back to you.
I am in the same situation. I received my payment today, and I would like to reroll for another month (I am a hero member now).
I am not sure if closing whole campaign just to set one date of payment is good idea. There are better solutions - some were already mentioned in this thread.
Refer to my message above for a fair solution.
748  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: July 13, 2015, 08:04:15 PM
However, once they receive their next payment, they'll be removed from the campaign. The campaign will then reopen for new applications on August 12th, meaning that the pay dates for all users will be the same (September 12th will be the first pay date).

Wouldn't it be better for the users if you'd "lengthen" their month up until the 12th of August and pay pro rata for the extra days, or end all partial months on the 12th, irrespective of which day they started and pay separate on the 12th of August for the partial month?
Because now for example my signature would be "gone" from the 6th to the 12th. Too short to go for one week with another campaign, but too long to "not sell" my signature space.
With this current method you shift the problem over to the users Smiley I don't see why (besides 20 minutes of making a few calculations in Excel) you would want to gradually lose all "incoming links" through the campaign until the 12th of August.

You'll get people coming in halfway the month in the new situation anyway when there is a spot open, so this pro-rata thing will happen a lot more.
Your proportional payment idea sounds like a really good method about changing this payment schedule. I'll bring it up with hilariousandco and see what he thinks about your suggestion, because that would make this transition easier for all users involved.
749  Economy / Services / Re: Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! [Temporarily full] on: July 13, 2015, 06:43:56 PM
Can you explain a little bit the last notification?
Does the campaign temporarily closed and new posts are not counted until everyone has received a payment?
What would be the new date for payments?
Does that mean that everyone will have the same initial and final day of the campaign in the month?
Or just payment date will be the same?
I'm sure that you will find the best solution for everybody, as always.
Please let us know when you decide about all details
Thank you very much for such great campaign.

The campaign will continue normally for everyone currently enrolled. However, once they receive their next payment, they'll be removed from the campaign. The campaign will then reopen for new applications on August 12th, meaning that the pay dates for all users will be the same (September 12th will be the first pay date).

Sorry if it's a little confusing right now but I'm sure all questions will be cleared up shortly. If you have any more don't hesitate to ask.
750  Economy / Services / Re: [5 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 13, 2015, 01:24:19 PM
After a discussion with guitarplinker we have decided to close new sign-ups temporarily, though the campaign will re-open after all current participants have been paid. Sign-ups will be re-opened and payments sent on the same day for everyone and I think this makes it much easier for all and much less stressful and time-consuming for guitarplinker to run (not that he was doing a bad job or found it too stressful, but it certainly makes things much easier).

Botany was the last person accepted onto the campaign so slots will likely re-open for everyone on the 12th of next month. I will send out payments for the 13th later today.
Just confirming that this is true, and payments will be sent out on just one day per month now. This will save both time on my part, as well as a little money for Rollin.io from lower transaction fees.
751  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Should Signatures Be Banned? on: July 13, 2015, 02:27:52 AM
Many spammers come from pay per post scheme, maybe it's time to switch into fixed campaign ...

.....
Exactly. If campaigns crack down on spammers then it makes browsing the forum a much more enjoyable experience for all. I try to be tough on spammers with the Rollin campaign, .......

hi,guitarplinker is this consider spamming ?

I probably wouldn't count those posts as constructive since that topic is always being discussed (and so easy to find as well). However, hilariousandco is managing the campaign for next couple weeks so the final decision would be up to him on that.
752  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Should Signatures Be Banned? on: July 13, 2015, 02:09:55 AM
Like I said in the other 10 threads with the same question: campaigns just need to crackdown (Bit-X is now doing that per Marco!). I think we can pressure the others into doing the same thing and weed out these spammers.
Exactly. If campaigns crack down on spammers then it makes browsing the forum a much more enjoyable experience for all. I try to be tough on spammers with the Rollin campaign, but it's not uncommon to see some bad spamming coming from some of the other campaigns. However, sig campaign spamming has been discussed time and time again, with no real changes being made with some campaigns so I think it will be awhile (if ever) before we see some of these campaigns cutting down on spammers.
753  Economy / Services / Re: Quickseller Escrow Service [Open] on: July 11, 2015, 02:11:22 PM
Hello!
As you are doing escorws which involves dealing with people's money(sometimes the amount must be big), so would you please care to disclose your real world identity to the forum(like escrow.ms did when he started to do escrows)?
Without knowing your identity, its risky for all the parties involved in the deal to use your service.
Afterall noone knows if the person behind this account is a dog or a human.

why would he need to disclose his identity? I wouldnt call dealing with QS risky at all. not everyone needs to disclose their real identity to provide a service; people on this forum usually dont like disclosing their identity first of all, and there are several escrow services that are plenty trusted without having their personal info disclosed.
You shouldn't even trust your father with your money. And this is a completely random guy with a lot of personal ambitions(from what I've observed). Also I guess, people like you were the reason for why millions of dollars got stolen in gox, input.io and other scam.
If he is legitimate and isn't involved in any monkey business and he isn't 11 year old then what shall be the problem in disclosing his identity?
One major reason he probably won't want to do this is because that would potentially compromise all of his bitcoins. If he made his address and identity public, then someone might break into his house and try to make off with his bitcoins, as well as the ones he's holding in escrow.

If you don't like how QS runs his service that's fine, you should go find somebody else who runs their service how you like instead.

The payment for July 8th has just been sent out. TXID: https://blockchain.info/tx/9f8ba3c0facf5a630ecca2c1944bae63c8c91164141ca13f0ccaba8c76df18b7

Also, hilariousandco will be managing all aspects of this campaign from July 9th to August 1st. I'll still be on the forums almost daily, but won't be able to dedicate the time to managing the campaign during this time. He will be sending payments, accepting new members, updating the spreadsheet, and answering general questions about the campaign during this time.

Haven't received payment. I know I wasn't around much and did not make enough posts but at least the OP states you will get paid for posts.
Blockchain says transaction not found, maybe something went wrong?
Hmm that's odd. I did send a payment out to you but if it doesn't show up on the blockchain in the next few hours then I'll resend it. It's possible it didn't go through because of the current blockchain spamming.

Amrulshare, hilariousandco should review you and get you am answer fairly soon.

756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 07, 2015, 03:01:50 AM
Looks like the transaction spam might be slowing down a little bit, I'm only seeing a few transactions per second now. Some serious strain on the network though, looks like the peak transactions per second was 212 (!) according to this page.
757  Economy / Services / Re: [2 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 06, 2015, 11:51:33 PM
Payments have been sent out for July 7th. TXID: https://blockchain.info/tx/b16b46e059f3350d488a03cb71651713d000d3550b216329785d123acbea9cec

Can I renew no matter I haven't made enough posts?
Since you made so few posts in the last month I can't do that for you, so you'll be removed from the campaign and barred for entering for one month afterwards. However, after that month is up, you're free to apply again to the campaign.
758  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: July 06, 2015, 07:27:49 PM
Junior acc can be very cheap possibly 0.015 you can buy a junior account. Full member a little more, I've seen 0.1-0.2 depend on trust. Senior can be around 0.5 btc. All accounts are different if you look at the trust level. Heros is not much different from a senior 0.6 maybe. And I've never seen a lengendary being sold. This should be posted in the digital goods section not here, but be careful when you buy account, ask for a signed message to see if it's hacked.  Smiley
Your Junior estimate seems good, but the Senior estimate is a little high, it seems like most Senior accounts go for 0.2 to 0.35 BTC, at least from what I've seen lately.
759  Economy / Services / Re: [2 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Rule Changes! on: July 06, 2015, 05:11:06 PM
Is it mandatory to "renew" for the new month? Because in that case I'm in with currently (without this post) 1093 posts Smiley
Yes, it's mandatory to sign up for another month if you want to continue in the campaign. Also, your payment was just sent out: https://blockchain.info/tx/780d6c6280417d106bee3522238d35e8c3910bca6debf1d9a01fcd2dcbe345fc
760  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why are Signature Campaign prices base on the rank? on: July 05, 2015, 04:22:42 PM
Why are the payouts in sig. campaigns based on the user's rank?
Code:
Rates:
Hero member : 0.0015BTC per constructive post
Sr. member : 0.0013BTC per constructive post
Full member : 0.0009BTC per constructive post

I think it should be equal for all the user's. Whats your opinion?
Different rank has different restrictions. Lower rank has more restriction and high ranks can use better signature with more colors and characters.

If every user were paid the same poeple would create new accounts, make few posts and join signature campaigns and start filling the forum with worthless posts.
All the the first three post have told the same thing.LOL
Is this the only difference which results in such a huge difference b/w the payouts?
Shouldn't this difference be more justified?

Dude a newbie has no color nor link, how do you expect him to get paid the same as a hero member, besides higher ranks are better publicity for your site, right? Is rather have 10 legendary members wearing my signature than 50 newbies
Newbies to Members could be paid a little low,but I don't see a big difference in the signature of full memebr and that of a hero(Look wise)
A full member's signature is equally attractive as that of a hero member.
Take a look at the Rollin.io signatures and you'll notice a big difference between the full member and hero signatures. That's the main reason for such huge differences in payments, the flashier looking signatures attract more clicks than a basic signature would.
