7521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Id Verification and Legit Sites on: November 24, 2017, 12:28:32 AM
Kraken.com can be used by Canadian citizens to buy bitcoins, and some other cryptos, with Wire Transfer Deposit.
You need to give your name, last name, phone, DOB, but you don't need to upload your ID card, utility bill, selfie etc
Unless you need to withdraw over $2,000 daily and $10,000 monthly in fiat and $5,000 daily -$50,000 monthly in crypto. There is no limit for deposits
7522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the Accounting works for fundraising through ICO? on: November 23, 2017, 11:40:27 PM
But your answer does not take in to account the utility of a token. You can purchase the product or use any of the service provided by the company by using the Token provided my the company. So in a way a Token sale can be counted as advance revenue for the company that it can recognize after the product is launched.

So money through a token sale can be classified as an operating activity and not a finance activity.

Hmmm It's difficult.
once the project is launched and operating, the token is not a token anymore. Like you say you can purchase the product/service using the tokens (you purchase some coins). But it is because the tokens have been converted into the altcoin

You lent money to the project and the project promise you to send it back in the form of tokens (crowdlending). Then you are supposed to cash out your initial investment and you're done. The fact that you speculate with the tokens is something else.
If you notice their websites never promise, you will make 120%-150% ROI and so on. At least I have never seen it so far

if the tokens can be used to purchase a product the tokens shall have a fixed value.
7523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Edwardard] Manager of the bounty of Dmarket - scammers! on: November 23, 2017, 10:59:15 PM
There is zero sense in the accusation. On the web, people overuse the word scam. You can be called a scammer for nothing, like to not reply to an email after 10 minutes
Edward managed a campaign and paid each participant as he does every time, so I don't see where is the scam. It's not like if the participants weren't paid for something deserved.
Since he is not some kind of charity organization, I don't think he was giving money from his own pocket, so he has been funded by someone.
7524  Economy / Services / Re: twitter bad follower removal on: November 23, 2017, 08:19:00 PM
ManageFilter is free and you can remove the bots/spam, inactive, no profile pic, quiet, not following back. They do have a free version and paid version. With the free version, you could remove up to 800 followers (they changed recently and don't know what is the limit with a free membership now)
I think Socialfav is doing similar (not sure).
7525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hide your bought coins from taxauthorities on: November 23, 2017, 08:01:01 PM
Hi,

What in your opinion is the best way to hide any buyings and/or sellings of coins for the tax authorities?
A lot of markets want you to identificeren yourself, so the tax authorities will know you bought it.

In the coinmarket, freedom of money is a basic right. How to prevent them to see/guess my total amount?

You forgot something. Taxes authorities don't care about spying your activities on crypto exchanges. Why should they waste their time on foreign websites operating in foreign countries while they can go directly to the banks?
It's how they find a lot of frauds. For example, in my country, receive above €5000 transactions monthly and your case is automatically sent to govt authorities for further verifications.
7526  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: November 23, 2017, 07:30:32 PM
@kraken-protocol

Do you know what can be the reason(s) to have a crypto deposit "on hold"
I just noticed it today while looking at the history and the thing is:
- I don't remember about this deposit (it's just a small one)
- It doesn't look to be one sent to the old BTC address
- I don't know how it's possible to have a (crypto) deposit on hold while a member is verified Tier 2

Thank you.

7528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the Accounting works for fundraising through ICO? on: November 23, 2017, 06:09:07 PM
An ICO is not considered as a product, at least it shouldn't be. The confusion can come from people thinking that they are buying a product: the tokens (with the hope to make a good ROI from it). But in fact, the token can be considered just as crowdlending participation. People invest some money in a project and they are supposed to get it back with or without profit(s).
Considering this, crowdlending belongs to financing activity (in my opinion)
7529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is satoshi? Can someone help me? on: November 23, 2017, 04:41:20 PM
Here is a simple explanation of it

https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/114/what-is-a-satoshi

Quote
A Satoshi is the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin that can currently be sent: 0.00000001 BTC, that is, a hundredth of a millionth BTC. In the future, however, the protocol may be updated to allow further subdivisions, should they be needed.

Further examples of units

1 BTC = 1,000 mBTC (millibitcoin)
1 BTC = 1,000,000 μBTC (microbitcoin)
1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis
1 mBTC = 100,000 Satoshis
1 μBTC (microbitcoin) = 100 Satoshis

7530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bictoin virtual card usd? on: November 23, 2017, 04:30:50 PM
You can use Purse.io as an alternative to buy from Amazon. On top of that, you will be able to get a discount up to 15% (depending on how long you can wait to receive)
Once I used a virtual card to buy on Amazon and their system flagged me and I got suspended. They asked me some ridiculous things like asking to my bank to call them, history statement, etc. I told them why should I do that the VCC is not issued by my bank. All this for something costing 2 bucks.
7531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it the truth bitcoin can drop to altcoin prices in this year? on: November 23, 2017, 12:52:13 AM
I want to invest in bitcoin but before i did this i want to hear u guys first.
Where did you get that news? Is that true or just a hoaks? I don't think that it can be happen this year, but if that is true, then why not try to wait until the price drops before you invest? The best time to buy is when bitcoin price drop.

It"s possible in theory but the chance that it happens is maybe 1% or less. In reality, the thing is different. Imagine we have the Bitcoin price falling to 1000$ how would react the altcoins? 99% of chance that it follows the same path.
The chances to see Bitcoin dropping this year to the price similar to the altcoin (average) is about 0.1% and I can't imagine the drama it would be.

7534  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken ==> Working trading platform ? on: November 22, 2017, 10:24:05 PM
When it's your first deposit they make some verifications to avoid frauds but after this, all other deposits are credited faster as it is supposed to be. And regarding your ticket, I don't know when you sent it but these days it takes about 3 days to get a reply from them. I know that they are currently busy with the major changes coming in 2 weeks and they are looking to hire over 20 persons to increase the team
7535  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cannot login Kraken? on: November 22, 2017, 10:06:24 PM
I used Kraken when I started in crypto, but after numerous errors and login failures I now use Binance, which works great and has cheap fees!! Like a comment on bitcoin.com said today, new guys like Binance will take over bussiness from the older ones ,as the old ones can't handle the growth in crypto world...

If the old ones can't handle the growth in the crypto world the small ones won't be able too. At the beginning yes as the sites are like a ghost, but once the site has a decent member base and keeps growing the problems start. And here is the difference, the big sites have funds and resources to grow while the small ones don't have
7536  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: wirexapp.com stay away for it on: November 22, 2017, 02:41:49 PM
Some citizens are forced to have their account verified (Wirex or any other service providing a prepaid card, bitcoin related or not doesn't matter) It's because of some new regulations related to the KYC that took place about 3 months ago.

So Wirex was just asking you what any other would ask you. Then the ~4$ fees are what most of the online-based wallets have set up to make transactions.

So you can't call a scam a company that abides by the laws.
7537  Economy / Speculation / Re: What'll happen when USDT collapses? on: November 22, 2017, 12:03:54 AM
What do you think about this comment on Reddit? While saying "to bring down the entire market" may be a bit exaggerating, there are accurate facts still. Bitfinex is a so suspicious platform since their hack long back and I won't be much surprised if it's turn out to be true.

Quote
This potential fraud is related to Bitfinex and their USDT token (USD - Tether). Currently Bitfinex is the second largest exchange by volume (trading $800m daily at the time of writing).
The people behind Bitfinex are “printing” endless amount of these dollar tokens (currently $370m+) which are supposed to be backed up by real dollars. They refuse to be audited and prove whether these dollars exist. Information regarding the people behind Bitfinex/Tether is slowly disappearing from their website: https://tether.to/
It is possible that Bitfinex are circulating their own token through their exchange to manipulate the order book and the price of Bitcoin. Just last year they were “hacked” to the tune of $60m in Bitcoin (which can be sold for real dollars).
Recently Bitfinex announced their withdrawal from the US market due to license difficulties, which is strange because smaller less-profitable exchanges have been able to get licenses. Surely the second biggest exchange by volume would want to be in the USA?
The average user perceives USDT to be the same as USD, which it is not. Bitfinex’s website is misleading as it lists their trading pairs in USD (when in fact you cannot actually deposit dollars). Bitcoin enthusiasts stand to lose of all their money in a Bernie Madoff style scam, if their funds are stored in USDT and/or on Bitfinex’s exchange. The collapse of the second largest exchange would likely crash the price of Bitcoin.

I loll'ed at this.  I'm pretty sure English isn't your first language but you totally get it.   But you forgot "How I can stretch post out so fill 200 character limit??"

I swear bitcointalk is making me stupid.  Everything sounds like All Your Base Belong To Us.  Someone Set Up Us The Bomb.
I wanted to use the same English level, the one not easy to understand, specially when using "bitcoin" 4 times in a single sentence.
But English is not my first language yeah, I correct my grammar with Grammarly plugin.

Some topics are really frustrating to read.

7540  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minexcoin Scam on: November 21, 2017, 09:06:42 PM
I received my MNX without any problem within a couple of days. I didn't except them 30 minutes after asking, by the way. And I can say the same for people who I know having MNX payment in the queue. All got their due. There is no reason to call a project a scam because you received your coins 2-3 days after your request.
