Are you representing Visa Inc. from Foster City california?

762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about oracles network? on: November 21, 2017, 10:58:09 AM
I'll go with the comment above, probably a whale. I heard from a connection of mine who has ties to a team of an ICO project where a few people bought up 80% of the entire ICO.

Sounds interesting, I will check it out.

Find it rather unprofessional and the English button on your website is broken or you don't have an English version. Imo you make yourself look like a scam with this.

768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coin Articles on: November 20, 2017, 01:49:54 PM
Often when you browse a new coin you can see articles from Forbes or Huffington Post posted on their website. Are these companies paid for this? Cause especially Forbes seems to think every new coin is fantastic, full of potential and did I say amazing? How seriously should I take these articles?

Sorry about posting in English but I live in the Netherlands and this is relevant to me. We are the owners of DISAF.eu, we have two machines that have been put on hold because of this. We have signed and paid leases that our partners may break because of this news. We've implemented a strong AML/KYC policy modeled after Dutch and international standards voluntarily. But the company we work with, a very large EU commercial investment company is worried about public image.

Of course, there is no legitimate cause to terminate our contract but we won't have a hostile landlord. We'll probably settle and allow them to break the contract if they choose. I do think we need to take extra steps to prevent money laundering until legislation sets guidelines. I'm a little worried that the banks are blockading legislation because they feel their power and money are threatened by a competing digital payment system.

These problems are because the EU and the Netherlands have not made any attempt to define or legislate digital currencies, we're talking 8 years after the release of Bitcoins. When they are legally defined and regulated, they will gain legitimacy on a much larger scale and banks will not be able to universally deny business banking services if they deal in Bitcoin or other digital currencies.

I've been in contact with a few law firms for help, but I have yet to find one that doesn't try to milk me for every euro I have. Any suggestions?

I'm a newb when it comes to this but can't you develop a counterfeit checker like they have at cash registers when you pay with bills of €50,- they check to see if its not counterfeit? Could you not develop a same type of machine and apply it to the ATM which then also reads the code written on the paper so people can't replace the bills after the counterfeit check?

>insert money into counterfeit checker.
>Checker verifies the legitimacy and reads the unique code of each bill and sends those trough a list of the codes to the ATM
>Checker gives back the money to the individual
>Individual now inserts the money into the BTC ATM which has a list of the clients codes of the €bills he wants to spend.
>BTC ATM reads these codes and any money that does not fit these codes gets spewed back.
>Money that does fit the list of codes gets converted into BTC.

Is that a helpfull suggestion? Maybe you could even build it to the point that the person doesn't get the opportunity to insert money twice. So basically building an intergrated counterfeit checker into the Bitcoin ATM.
773  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Verwachting Bitcoin op korte termijn on: November 19, 2017, 03:05:47 PM

Yeah I got some ACC airdropped to me but exactly how does this staking work? You send ACC to yourself? Did not get that part.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Airdropped coins on: November 19, 2017, 12:00:56 PM
I'm writing some articles and one of them is on airdrops, does anyone know any projects that have been succesfull in maintaining a marketcap over 40-50 million having relied on Airdrops? Any projects that are succesfull that have airdropped most their coins?

777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need Some Scam or Ponzi Coins ICOs To Invest In on: November 18, 2017, 03:22:53 PM
Invest in Datum. High cap ($45million), no product or reasonable concept. Its a guarranteed money loss unless you're able to sell the tokens with profit short term since long term, I can promise you this, the project will fail immensely. It sounds like a cool idea untill you start getting into the details and notice they didn't really think about any details or problems encountered with their product/service. Its a pure greedy money grabbing ICO out to fill the pockets of its founders and leave investors dry with a worthless token that won't ever get used because of the ridiculous conditions set to use the service. At least thats my opinion. Enjoy!

Some of the issues with its service:

1. Inability to purchase data in bulk, making it a time consuming and high cost service without any conveinience
2. Needing to respect each individuals unique set terms & conditions on purchased data (which is virtually impossible and time consuming)
3. The speculative nature of the project with statements such as "Overwhelming user (individuals) demand might lead to Datum being implemented as the main protocol for data processing'' effectively creating a monopoly but that isn't the worst part. They assume that if people want Datum to be the main data processor this will come from a high user demand and forces lawmakers, governments to adapt to that (which will never ever happen).
4. People don't give a shit about their data privacy
5. No guarrantee it can protect data, it can protect data on its platform once you upload it sure. But if you use Facebook then Facebook will still have access to the data you created on Facebook and Datum becomes an obsolete party where you can basically upload that data again and hope that someone will purchase it. For a company it doesn't really make sense to use Datum at all.
6. To much focus on the data uploaders and no thought given to companies who purchase data, both parties are just as important in making this platform work but it seems Datum gave preference to the individuals ''needs'' and making companies adjust to that instead of finding middle ground.

If anyone disagrees with me then please tell me why cause I'd love to hear why anyone would think this is a good idea/concept/business model.
778  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Non Profit Cryptos on: November 17, 2017, 02:53:51 PM
Poor English on the website and how do we know the ''donations'' go to where you say they will go?
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] The NAGA ICO - SMART CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR STOCK TRADING & GAMING. on: November 16, 2017, 11:01:47 AM
seriously $1 ? for 400million supply ? anyone buying this ?

The circulation will be around 280m but no man.. just to double your money it means it has to reach a marketcap of over half a billion. It would be more interesting if there were benefits of investing such as dividends but its just a token that you will sell to other traders or potential customers of the platform.
