All orders placed today will ship in November.

Well it's December now in Sweden and my "Jupiter November Shipping" hasn't been shipped. Way to over-promise and under-deliver. Sad

What was your order date?

Nov 9.

I'm guessing it'll still end up being a better turnaround than any other ASIC producer.

True, but that's no excuse.  They promised November shipping, and ought to have upheld that promise.

They promised 15th October shipping, but that didn't happen, so..
By now you should have learnt that not everything KNC says turns true Wink

The only Monarch we'll see on here, this side of 2015?

Same situation with the shipping situation. Did they achieve their goal to ship all miners in november or will the delivery last into december?

600 units shipped according to Sam. He expects all to be shipped by Wednesday, which I personally doubt, being realistic.

Have you been at Bitcoin Expo today? Was it good? Did Knc demo anything?

It was OK Smiley Too loud for my taste, can barely hear the person next to you speaking.
No demo from KNC, apparently British Airways like to lose people's luggage  Shocked

When did you speak with him?   How many do they still have to go and what number are they at for shipping?

At LondonExpo today. No idea how many.

Btw if anyone is interested you can get rid of the 24 pin cable on the PSU (V850 only) by doing this (bottom cable is PSU_ON to Ground and top cable is Ground to Ground):

Or you can use connectors (ignore the extra 2 cables, they are not required):

Does anyone know if there is a proper method to turn off the KNC Jupiter?  I see in the manual that theres a way to hard reset the machine with the button in the back, but that just resets it back to factory settings right?  Can i just turn off my power supply to shut down the unit?

SSH > halt
PSU Switch off or pull cable from socket.

sold out, again? wtf!  Roll Eyes

and the pockets of KnC are now full of BTC which they don't plan to cash out...

good job, guys!

 Grin

KNC get fiat from Bitpay not BTC.  And I think some of it will be needed to build our Neptunes.

oh yeh, wages for 40+ staff, running costs, etc , etc and probably a party or two.

nope, if I remember correct the seller is able to choose if he will receive fiat to the bank account or BTC to a Bitcoin address.

they did how much profi from batch one and two to pay your listed positions?   Wink

Here we go, the nutters arrive. Yes we know, we've been doing this long enough and are big enough to be responsible for our own decisions to mine rather than buy. And we can judge our ROI in whatever currency we please thank you very much.

good luck to the guys which paid with BTC.

 Roll Eyes

Good luck to everyone I would say Smiley

A friend of mine purchased one of Phoenix October Jupiters just 3 days ago, so it should be with him anytime now.
When he receives it and everything is good I will drop by to confirm Smiley

777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Yubikey and Bitcoin Security on: November 29, 2013, 03:00:30 AM
I've been looking for ways to make Bitcoin and Bitcoin related services that I use more secure and have found Yubikey (the generic one and not the MTGox one). But after some research a few things are still unclear to me:

1 - The Yubikey can only be used in Static Password mode for encrypting the Bitcoin wallet. Correct?
2 - How secure is using the Yubikey in Static Password mode. Can a software keylogger record the password being sent form the Yubikey to the Bitcoin-QT application?
3 - What is the difference between OATH-HOTP and OTP mode in easy to understand terms?
4 - Which mode of the Yubikey corresponds to Google Authenticator on Android?
5 - I read that Yubikey uses an authentication server. So how does that work exactly? Does it do some online check every time I press the button?
6 - How secure do you think it is in general? Is it a good layer of security for any online services (exchanges, online wallets, etc)
7 - Can I use 1 Yubikey for more than 1 service/website or is this a security flaw?

Thanks to anyone who can answer any of my questions Smiley
