@Littlemouse could you interpret this rule here :"Must have 10 winning bets to qualify for the prize above."

Do we have to submit a minimum of 10 winning bets here or on our accounts a minimum of 10 winning slips should be on our accounts?

762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to learn about Bitcoin ? on: December 17, 2023, 02:10:58 AM
Hello, i'm new to the environment of cryptocurrency Bitcoin I've been reading a few posts from time to time to educate myself more and be more knowledgable about it, but sometimes i find it hard to understand how everything works.

What's the best and easiest way to learn about Bitcoin and everything around it ?
Hope you are enjoying your stay on the forum, but as far as learning about crypto goes...there is always something new to learn about this technology and this challenge will always be there ,meaning no easy route...
And not to burst your bubble you don't want any easy way out with this as learning about bitcoin is a gradual process, a lifestyle at its best...it's not like some novel or car manual you read and you done with it, no...you need to be in touch with this tech and constantly reading and researching about it and before you know it you will have a great deal of information about it and in no time help others in need of such info..

Otherwise best and easiest way to learn about Bitcoin is this forum and you can accelerate this knowledge with the help of YouTube and Google.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does match fixing concern you often? on: December 17, 2023, 12:12:19 AM
I recently had this thiught, that in many places the stakes for betting can be so high, that in many occasions it might be worth money wise for team bosses to fix a match result and still have enough to pay everyone involved instead of just playing fairly for a good clean win.
The fact that everyone has a price makes match fixing a bit easier because the number of people gambling has risen exponentially and sometimes players aren't just paid enough!

Some might think that this issue could be especially prevalent in smaller countries where streaming rights and add may not pay teams that much... But I guess match fixing could also be a big issue in big countries with popular leagues because there the stakes for betting are even higher.
Such leagues just make it easy to fix as fewer prying eyes means easy game for the mafias..

On the other hand, it's probably not so healthy to think about match fixing as a gambler that much because there's very little you can do to actually have recourse against it as a mere player, as match fixing is organized at a very high level.
Actually if week in week out results aren't showing consistency,  then am never entertaining such a league as it's hurting my pocket not my viewing pleasure...and I don't want to be hard headed on such...

What have your experiences about this been? Is match fixing considered a common occurrence in leagues you place bets at?
One of the biggest football leagues I know is the Premier league and with so many players exposed to the gambling world makes it easy for them to fix matches , and the problem is that its not always based on results but card markets can be affected, shots on target, team X not to score etc and at the moment I think the game we love has been infiltrated by these gambling mafias and there is nothing we can do!
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 16, 2023, 08:02:27 PM
Manchester City of late have been dropping points so easy, and with three clubs already above them and in good form, I honestly think this title is slowly slipping away from them...and today's game was one awkward match as City was fully in control of the game and from nowhere Crystal Palace got a goal back and pressure turned against them.. only for Palace to steal a valuable point in the end thanks to a late penalty Cry..

And for gamblers/punters I honestly feel their pain as this was a steal looking at the price on a City win which was less than 1.2 odds against the draw which was ~8odds,  honestly you can't even explain this...City need to pull up their socks and not having Halaand isn't an excuse!!!!
765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: December 16, 2023, 07:51:08 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult.
Hope I haven't misinterpreted this, but don't you think we preaching the wrong message here...and what supporting evidence is there to say online jobs are better paying than in-person jobs like being an architect,  doctor, accountant,  pilot etc compared to what's online  Roll Eyes
Honestly  am not in support of this statement or belief!!

Btw, the more we push for online jobs ,sooner or later machines will run the world 🌎 and already some jobs are obsolete because of technology Tongue

Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
Let's just say trading is among the fastest growing industries in this generation but unfortunately like any other business you need money to make money 💰.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 16, 2023, 05:31:51 PM
For those working for government or an entity, try  to  start a small business and grow it gradually while still doing your 9am- 5pm job.
If it was as easy as it sounds, everyone would have ventured into this side hustle to make an extra income but unfortunately this calling isn't for everyone.

We might not feel the importance of it until we have been lay off from the job.
I do agree with you this is the way to go, but unfortunately having to start an extra business depends on alot of factors that will make it difficult for many to start because some jobs don't give you the time for one or two errands and some leave you drained to the point of just wanting to rest the second you leave work..honestly it all depends on how labour intensive your job is...

I have a question for those working for an entity or government, if you are being sacked today, what will be your faith? Will you still be financially strong, can your other sources of income keeps you going or you will be devastated by the loss of your job.
You make this sound like it's retirement when it's not, besides  when one door closes another will open...keeping a positive mind is very important!
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 16, 2023, 02:52:25 PM
LE as I am reading the replies
Maybe thrilling was more appropriate than entertaining so feel free to use that!

As it seems I'm the only one betting on horse racing around here we need a bit of intro for this

So, two races out of 4 done by 12:18 GMT time and both horses I was backing, favorites,  Hunters Yarn and  Kourosh dropped their jockeys at the last hurdle, the first did it while being in the lead by 10 lengths, the second when battling for the first place, lost a bit on them and probably more to come as I'm 1 out of 5 bets right now but I didn't feel any remorse or regret or anything like this, moreover I feel really good because I saw some really entertaining races with a change in the last moment.
If you put it this way, it is quite thrilling especially that it gives one that thrill but the thing I hate about such sports such as horse 🐎 racing is that it takes away your emotions in the long term which affects your social well-being with people around you..

Btw which race course was this, would like to look at the racecard...

On the other hand, whenever I trade even if it's just small, really small positions and I lose a few $ I feel bad, I always tell to myself why I even bother to do it.
The thing about trading is that losing is part of this game,  and to succeed you need a tried and tested strategy to survive otherwise you will keep losing.

Btw to trade you also need to take away emotions from the equation as price could be going against you and the second you close a trade prematurely to save money that's the very second price turns into your direction and this is the kind of trading to avoid...

So hear me out:

With gambling, you chose on who to bet when to bet , once you do you you wait for the outcome at a fixed time!
With trading you chose your pair coins, you have to wait for the price to reach what you think it's an entry point and then set limits , watch the damn numbers even for days, even if you cash out in profit there can always be a regret you haven't kept the position opened.
Someone this isn't a valid reason!!!

What you described is swing trading otherwise you want trades to be settled within a day or short time frame then go for lower time frames like the 1hour, 15minutes or 1min or possibly even the seconds timeframes....

So prove me wrong (if you think I am), what am I missing?

For me I enjoy both worlds, but if you say gambling over trading is your preference then it's either you haven't allowed yourself to perfect your strategy or you bias on this...
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Celebrates One Year of Ordinal Inscriptions With 48 Million Mark Hit on: December 16, 2023, 04:56:49 AM
One year already interesting!

Btw, with all the spam these Ordinals are causing on the Bitcoin network is nothing to celebrate about, because these guys have made using bitcoin very expensive such that micro transactions/payments can not be used something we boasted about a few years back of using thanks to the dust like fees but now it's all become a rumor that many will not enjoy spending their BTC...

With these inscriptions and Brc20 tokens , is it possible that will might have another Bitcoin fork to try kill two birds with one stone which is accommodate these ordinals and lower tx fees in the process (miners wont be happy about this Tongue )
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 15, 2023, 10:07:34 PM

Now speaking of Barcelona it looks like they will still try to find some free players but on the other hand there are some rumors that say that there are linking Osimhen with Barcelona even though I don't think this is true because this will not be possible.
Has much as Napoli f@%#& up with that tiktok video mocking their talisman,  I don't think his going any where as at now!

If any thing, rumor has it that Osimhens new contract is coming up which could make him the highest paid player should he play his cards right , and I see this as damage control for what transpired and if money doesn't talk then this lad will be a tough nut crack and will leave...

Btw,  why is it that Barcelona is usually in the news of being linked with all these big names when they know too well not to attract attention after losing  one of the biggest names in football 🤔

771  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 15, 2023, 05:23:51 PM
Let's just say both have their pros and Cons, and besides if you are some ready to go out of your comfort zone then inventing your own job is a good challenge and high rewarding if it works out otherwise the safer route is finding a job though competition for jobs out there is real...

Btw, Creating your own job is the best because you work with your own rules, and financially you are not limited to how much you can make in terms of a salary  or revenue, but the only disadvantage to this is that when bad days follow you might not have any money unlike going with a Job that will pay you in both good and bad spells of the company or services offered.

775  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 14, 2023, 06:30:44 PM
We have cryptocurrency you still use Banks ?
Am pretty sure with the coming of cryptocurrencies we want to sell the idea of us being our own banks as we cut out the middleman and other bank charges we are exposed to, but honestly bank's might not want we want but they have their advantages which has allowed them to be in existence for so many years such as providing financing which you can't get with crypto...So short answer,  Banks> Crypto  Roll Eyes

Do you still use Banks ?
Yes I do as crypto isn't widely accepted...

Im using only cryptocurrency debit cards and they always work better than bank.
So Im still surprised If anyone still use Banks they are old
If you were to send funds to a fraudulent seller or someone used your card  without your authorization trust me you will appreciate having a bank as you can chargeback which you can not do with crypto cards!

So as much as bank are considered old, they still get the job done!

Do you use more crypto or banks for your daily or average transactions ?
Both...but use crypto regularly for my mobile credit...

I teach all my family to use cryptocurrency becouse i dont trust Banks and i think If you can tell your bank mind your business you are scam i told my bank If you not give me loans or credit i dont need you and i close it
If this is your reason for hating or distrusting banks then you are being unfair to them and yourself because they are running a business and not some charity organization,  so expect them to carry out risk assessments to know who is likely to payback or not... no hard feelings buddy its just business!!
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 14, 2023, 02:36:39 PM
I know there are bettors here who dream of investing in sports betting and hoping to consistently make money from it.

So, I'd like to ask the following questions:

1. How much bankroll can you afford to start with?
I think size of bankroll should matter less, if you can manage risk with a $100 account then $100K or a million should not change ones habit or style of gambling!

2. With your bankroll, how much expected profit do you anticipate in a year?
For a big account 10% is fine but for smaller accounts I would say 20% -30% is a good return provided you don't lose your initial capital...but never run the numbers for such a long period  Roll Eyes

3. Will you be content with your profit? If not, have you considered increasing your bankroll, even if you cannot afford it?
It's easier to say so when funds aren't in your account,  but when you get to walk the talk then emotions could get the better of you which is why withdrawing any profits made is a must for me...

780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 13, 2023, 09:28:46 PM
Captain America puts PSG back in the game after equalizing against Newcastle in this highly competitive group, and if I were  to hand pick a team to qualify from this group, I think having Mbappe in such a big competition has its perks and PSG is the team that needs to come through  Roll Eyes

And in Bosuilstadion (Antwerp), Team Barcelona seem not to be giving it all having qualified already and this one will be well deserved win if they manage to win as they have worked had for it #Antwerp_to_win
