7681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Market is coming on October to December on: October 13, 2018, 01:34:31 PM
We're already in mid October unfortunately, there's not even one sign that we are going to see the bulls making a comeback at this time. Again, we have a lot of positives news but sad to say its not enough to push and make a reversal. Last year was different so its obvious that we won't replicate it this year.

I mean if bull run will happen, it will at some point. We don't need to wait because if it will happen, then if will happen. The problem is that we are still attached to last year's performance but we totally forgot that past performance is not a indication for a future success specially how volatile crypto market is.

I wouldn't be so negative.  There is no reason we can't reach new highs by the end of this year.  Bitcoin is still higher than it was this time one year ago.  It only rook a few months for bitcoin to soar from 5k up to 20k.  A lot of experts are still calling for a 25k by the end of this year.  The whales have made a lot of us doubt crypto prices but when the bull starts they will jump right back in.

Of course I'm very bullish about bitcoin. However, if you look at the current trend, it seems that there's not enough push from investors to put their cash on the market again. Well the $5k-$20k run different, too many good news coming our way. But this year was different though.

I know one perma-bull who already changed his tune - Mike Novogratz, https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/03/bitcoin-wont-top-9000-by-years-end-former-hedge-fund-legend-novogratz-says.html.

So let's see how it goes leading to the end of the year. Its better to be prepared if there's no bull run instead of waiting for it and you didn't do any adjustments on your end.
7682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do(es) Whale(s) really still exist in Bitcoin ? on: October 13, 2018, 01:21:57 PM
I have read this article before, https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-12-08/the-bitcoin-whales-1-000-people-who-own-40-percent-of-the-market.

True or not, whales exist on other market as well. The only difference is that in crypto, we only have addresses, with no associated names. So all we can do is speculate it indeed they exist or who owns that huge amount of bitcoins. There are speculations as well that they do connive with one another at some point to bring down the price so that they can accumulate more.

7684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A banking app helped me beat my addiction on: October 12, 2018, 11:07:34 AM
After reading this article, I would say the main character mentioned in this article does have strong determination to fight against his own gambling addiction, if a person who is seriously addicted to gambling does not even have a strong perseverance and determination to quit gambling, I believe this banking app would not be able to help much too. This story shows how scary it is when someone became seriously addicted to gambling, they could end up paying debts for their whole life due to their gambling addiction, and basically their life would be ruin if they are not able to step out from it.

Correct, I think the article mentions what really motivated him to quit gambling for good. I mean for those addicted gamblers, it doesn't mean that a death in the family will be the main catalyst for us to quit. There must be a triggering point.

As in my case, I lost my job, so I have no money and I'm back to square one. I quit my gambling addiction in a snap, although i just play today in land based casino just for the kicks but definitely that one moment wherein I don't have money and I don't know where to go through and I don't want to experienced that again set off my brain to shutdown everything about my gambling addiction.
7685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 12, 2018, 10:57:12 AM
Do you think its a good move from Khabib to make a threat? There's only a few promotional company around, Bellator MMA. ONE which is Asia base and WSF. However, those two doesn't have any good fighters to begin with. Bellator MMA is a good choice but there's no money in the line.
I think it is just a result of the burst of emotions. Things that happened is so fresh and expect that kind of statement. When time passed by and cooler heads prevail, they will know what's the right move to do next which is a rematch because of that huge amount of money involve and they don't need to spend a lot of money promoting it cause people are waiting for it to happen.

Its going to be one of his biggest mistakes if Khabib decided to quit UFC and bring his talent to other MMA organizations. He needs to calm down and think about the future. He is already a superstar in UFC specially with the win against Conor.

I agree that this is just a emotional burst on his side, He already won, no need to take personally. Conor has been defeated and relegated already and fans already know who's the better man. IF he decided to leave UFC then he won't get the same money his getting in UFC right now.
7686  Economy / Marketplace / Re: how to convert rinkeby eth to ethereum on: October 12, 2018, 10:47:58 AM
I found this, https://rinkeby.etherscan.io/, its a block explorer so it means coins did exist. However, It looks like its running on testnet and not on mainnet though. And since @zhekinsp said, its not on cmc so its not possible at this time to convert to ETH.
7687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com CEO, Roger Ver Plans his Own Exchange, To make BCH as a Base Currenc on: October 11, 2018, 10:56:35 AM
I first saw this a while on a group on FB and people there are celebrating and happy about it.

I didn't said anything there or else I'll be attacked by the BCH army. This is what we call desperation, after Bitmain lost a lot of money with BCH, we saw their move. And now, he's trying to revive this coin so it can still make a noise and get more demand for it to be able to survive.
Good thing though that you didn't make a noise, otherwise they will troll you. LMAO. Yeah, that Bitmain IPO is also another desperation for Bitmain because they have lost so much money holding BCH and they put a lot of investment outside of China so they needed more funds. This is probably Ver trying to get another attention but the community knows his personality and we don't trust him. This is just a hype that will die down and his exchange will be just another show, in my opinion.
I don't know about those people, they are admiring RV for having that fork coin and making its own noise trying to replace bitcoin itself. I really don't have an idea what's on their mind. I'm sure that this is just a hype just like the popular "announcement" method that's being done by the other altcoin out there, I won't mention it anymore. Otherwise, if he's going to make it to reality, I'm not going to use that exchange.

Perhaps those people are blindly admiring RV because of how much they earn from BCH itself since it forked last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of them is a disciple of "Bitcoin Jesus".

I'm not a fan of Bitcoin Cash although it has potential, but I don't like though is the way they portray it and how they try to undermined Bitcoin. But I guess the feeling is mutual as we have seen that members here doesn't support BCH as much as they into Bitcoin though.
7688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break from gambling on: October 11, 2018, 10:34:25 AM
Taking a break from gambling is good. Maybe you won't even feel the impulse to gamble and then who knows perhaps you won't be a gambler? Its worth a try
Taking some rest from gambling is very important and necessary because your mind will refresh and when you back to gambling your mind will be clear for gambling. Just as the doctors say that atleast one day rest in a week is mandatory for physical and mental relaxation. When you back to work on Monday, you will be fresh and will work enthusiastically.

I'm confused, you advising to rest from gambling so that you can go back again play after you reset? Doesn't make any sense at all. I know people are gambling to have some fun, so they reset then what's gonna happen to them? Smiley

Anyways, there's nothing wrong with taking a break specially if you are losing big money in gambling. And the next time you go back, you will be mindful of your spending habits and most probably gamble just small amounts because you don't want to go wasting your time and at the same time losing more money.
7689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price plunged down today? on: October 11, 2018, 10:14:38 AM
What do you find with cryptocurrency at this time or in particular today. Please provide comments and feedback to respond. Do not panic !! Stay calm and relaxed.

We really don't know what really happen because there's no particular news that might influence or create panic. Perhaps they just decided to cash it out today. I suspect though that those traders who are using bots might be the culprit that trigger another massive sell.

The bot put a huge sell order, traders saw this and they instantly push the sell button causing a domino effect. Oh well, we've been trading sideways for the last couple of weeks at least its another perfect buying time for everyone.
7690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 11, 2018, 09:56:26 AM
No one plays 100% in a preseason game. Lakers will not play lebron too much and probably won't play other vets neither, they just gonna abuse the minutes of players like hart and ingram and even maybe kuzma, they just want to see how the young players do during preseason and try some tactics and strategies against teams like warriors which would be west opponents if they face each other, which means we may see a new system for lakers but not 100% given by the players, so the result of this game would be futile. On paper warriors are still marginally better than lakers in every position except small forward which is damn close with lebron and kd positioned there.

Exactly, Lakers will just play with some bench guys and see how they perform. There could be new plays for the Lakers specially with Lebron but they won't display it and I'm sure that someone will take that position if they decided to try that play and see how it goes.

Of course Warriors is still the team to beat this season. They are better in every angle, but we love to see James and KD going at it again. hehehe.

Edit: Lakers won 123-113.
7691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2018, 09:18:15 AM
Every government around the world is trying to find a way to stop and destroy Bitcoin."What do you think about this?

Not everyone though, there are a lot of nations who is pro crypto so I don't think that the the market will die. Well, it has been struggling this year but it doesn't mean that we are out or can't make a comeback.

I have my own opinion about the world of bitcoin. to what I feel and experience since I first invested until now.
bitcoin can change one's economic life for the better and even become a millionaire. if we have money and experience in investing in the world of cryiptocurrency

Good for you. Actually it was not designed to help people change their economic lifestyle. However, since it has become a assets and, it has given us more financial freedom if you investment on it much earlier and reap the rewards in 2017.
7692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Potential for future growth of electronic money in 2019 on: October 11, 2018, 08:49:17 AM
More and more central banks are researching the use of electronic money, they want to understand how electronic money and Blockchain technology can affect their countriesThese are the reasons why electronic money will become more popular in 2019.

I really doubt that central banks are researching because they wanted to take advantage of electronic money. What they're interested at is the technology behind it, which is blockchain. They hated crypto because its a threat to their existing financial system.

And you, What do you think about the future growth potential of electronic money?

The future looks bright. Eventhough we have seen a lot of negativity and countries becoming hostile to crypto, there will be nations who will support it because of its potential. We have seen countries enacting laws to support crypto/blockchain/ICO's. So its just a matter of time, maybe 2-5 years its full potential will be realized.

7694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 09, 2018, 12:19:47 PM
Another loss by the warriors, the suns which is a shitty team in the last season just beat them.
I cannot wait to for the regular season to start so I can confidently beat on the warriors regardless of the odds, I know they'll do better when wins
already counted.

Well there's a lot of technical fouls called in the game and Steve Kerr was mad and I say that they have lost their cool in the game. Its very strange for them to act like this but it seems they're really ready for this season that's why they take every game very seriously.

Just imagine Green and Cousins getting a lot of technical fouls, Lmao, so its really up to Kerr to control however, it looks like he led some bad example in the games against the Phoenix Suns.
7695  Economy / Economics / Re: Winklevoss’ Gemini Now Provides Insurance for Customers’ Cryptocurrencies on: October 07, 2018, 11:50:15 AM
Quote
A Record for Adding Legitimacy to Cryptocurrencies
The new addition of insurance-backed custodianship marks a clear trend that Gemini focuses on adding services that legitimize the cryptocurrency trading industry. Most of Gemini’s developments bring features that are consistent with traditional financial institutions.

This is very positive trend. Many people consider Crypto market as some sort of Wild West without any laws or regulations, and they`re not entirely wrong.
Introducing insurance is the first and most important step, I hope this trend will spread across the whole market soon. This is bound to bring more investors, especially ones that were afraid of scam projects.

I agree that this is a nice idea coming from Gemini. The Winklevoss twins are really pulling up a lot of stunt so to speak to help crypto get some form of legitimacy so that we can attract a lot of potential investors.

Right now, we have struggled a lot, but at least we see some developments here and there that will make the market more lively again in the next couple of years.

I guess the word needs to get out as fast as they can so that we can see if it can bring a lot of attitude from investors who chooses to stay away because of the bear season.
7696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 07, 2018, 11:33:29 AM
Khabib is pretty much fucked up at this point. His purse is withheld by the Nevada Athletic commission and Dana said that if any of the 3 are in the UFC and have contracts, then say bye-bye to UFC because Dana wouldn't allow them to fight anymore.

He also said that Conor is not pressing charges against the blindly attacked on him by the supposedly members from Khabib's team.

I guess the emotions is really high up to that point and after the trash talking that Conor spew, Khabib vindicated himself but it seems they went over board this time. Bitch move if I may have to put it.
7697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Telegram scam on: October 07, 2018, 04:15:48 AM
Oh well, I'm not surprised but thanks for the warning though. I have a Telegram account and I can confirmed that there are a lot of them sending PM's and trying to lure unsuspecting victims.

All I do is just ignored them or report to moderator. So it cut both ways, it has advantages like instant communications but some disadvantages like scammers offering too good to be true, unfortunately people still fall for it and that's the sad part.
7698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in predictions of "experts" about the bitcoin price? on: October 07, 2018, 03:17:15 AM
Well we can say that the so called experts is already changing the way they see how bitcoin's price gonna end this year,

https://blokt.com/news/mike-novogratz-pours-water-on-bullish-crypto-forecasts-says-bitcoin-wont-cross-9000-by-year-end

For those who are not familiar with Mike Novogratz, he used to be a perma bull but seems he can no longer shout another all time high (ATH) this year because he knows that we won't get to there no matter how much he try to influence the market by his bold prediction.
7699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: October 06, 2018, 03:41:40 AM
I have doubts as well because it's ber months again which bitcoin  reach the ATH,   maybe late because we are already in OCTOBER  but nothings happened.  But I'm still sure we are very near on it. And probably it will make a sudden jump again like what happened before when it start climbing to the top.
at least now we often see green markets. i hope this time is a reversal trend. and prices react up to peak at the end of the year. although no one knows for sure, but what is clear about future of cryptocurrency will be good

Its because we are now trading sideways, low volumes, with no clear path whatsover. It could be the end of the bear or it may continue up to the end of the year so we will never know.

One thing though about this market that I learn is that when we're expecting something to happen, it usually does the opposite, Lol.

So whatever green we are seeing might be wipe out in less than an hour. So that's how volatile this market is. With that said, I don't expect any breakout or rally up to the end of the year.
7700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 06, 2018, 03:15:21 AM
I've used to be a fan of the NBA but not anymore.  The league is filled with entitled crybabies that make  over 10mil per year.  They go out and buy rolls royce cars and mansions while their own city has homeless people.

I really don't get your point here.

Are you saying that NBA players need to help or feed homeless people in their city? I'm sure that some of them are doing some great things in their community and it was not reported.

But for me its not a obligation though, we don't care if they bought expensive cars because they can afford it. You can go and email Bill Gates and Warren Buffet as well and tell them to feed everyone with their billions. Your argument is totally flawed, just saying.
