Interesting...

For certain age groups, UK data shows that the incident rate of Covid is *higher* for those that are vaccinated than those who are not vaccinated.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1016465/Vaccine_surveillance_report_-_week_36.pdf

https://twitter.com/kerpen/status/1436013579610869762/photo/1

This is data provided by the NHS, although some cases could go unaccounted for.

nope.. its called psychology
teenager-young adults would socialise. schools, nightclubs, restaurants, pubs. so yea ofcourse those unvaccinated at that age would be higher
where as the older adults unvaccinated. shows that while unvaccinated they atleast have the common sense of adulthood to not socialise as much. and so the unvaccinated would not mingle to risk getting infected, though this number is not zero which shows some are idiots.

where as those vaccinated think they are safe from harm and so they would mingle. knowing they will get infected but the chances of the infection causing harm is lesssened due to the vaccine. thus making middle aged adults that are vaccinated have a higher infection amount.. but as said a lower hospitalisation amount

i myself pre-vaccine ensured i socially distanced. but now vaccinated i am happy to socialise because if i get it. i know the chances of me being severely ill is alot less now. if infected yes ill still isolate for upto a fortnight so i dont spread it. yes i know the viral load would be far less than an unvaccinated person but i still will take the precaution to isolate to not chance passing it onto someone else even if it is in a lower viral load... why.. common sense and common courtesy
7782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Doctors beg people to take the vaccine on: September 09, 2021, 09:45:47 AM
Ze patient should have asked for dexamethasone instead however I would imagine this statement by said professional would be designed to be solely conducive with vaccine uptake.

dexamethasone is not a anti-viral.. its a immune surpressor
its used to switch off the bodies response to stimulus.

it wont prevent infection. instead it would increase the incubation and viral harm.
its purpose is after the virus has been tamed/fought off by the immune system. then if the immune system is still out of control and not tempering down. then and only then should this medication be used to calm down the immune system.

it should not be used pre infection or during infection as it will do more harm then.

why is it always anti-vax idiots that actually want to get others to switch off the immune system and pretend the mechanism for doing it is actually a preventer/cure for a virus.
its as if they have a psychotic mindset of wanting to kill large populations of others as long as they can wait it out and live free without themselves taking any modern medicine

weirdly antivaxxers seem to sound more like the eugenics crowd. where they want death and killing off the weak using darwinism as their excuse for genocide

7783  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 vaccinations should be a choice, not a government mandate on: September 09, 2021, 09:32:34 AM
Psychology. All restrictions have huge impact for overall psychological health of people. They will need extra healthcare and maybe some of them will not be able to work. The most obvious is the fear that lot of people didn't handle themselves: the fear of other people you call them viral incubators... Maybe you didn't know, but that is how life on this planet just works - we all are just incubators full of microorganisms and unreasonable fear of this fact is just psychological problem which should be cured by professionals.

All these will have huge negative impact on society and next evolution of society. Much worse then some new virus can have - new viruses are something natural on this planet and simple cannot have negative impact on whole society, because society has natural methods of solving such a things. So the question is: is whole this show worth of it?

most anti-vaxxers are basement dwellers anyway. so yea. not much change
however vaccines are the solution to get things back to normal.

here is the thing about anti-vaxxers. if there was a room with no windows and a door that was slightly open, no lock. an antivaxxer will most likely try to find an excuse of why they shouldnt open the door.
they would happily spend years crying about how they feel locked up. but not want to take the exit route

hey i understand their cannibis fuelled paranoia, i even understand their herbal supplement induced panic attacks and hormonal centred rage.

but it seems none of the anti-vaxxers can actually use a rational, logical, factual reason for their excuses.
they make up too make pathetic false narrative crappy stories to excuse their reasons.

their real prison is not the one they think the government made for them. but instead its actually their own irrational mindset that is their real prison.

take badecker. last year he was crying about how he couldnt play golf due to government. reality is golf courses in his region were still running but he personally never went out of his house to find out. instead he spent months creating a prison for himself or finding conspiracy reasons online for why he should not get involved with the world outside his house.

anti vaxxers think that they cant go to grocery stores because they think they need a nazi ID passport to do anything. not realising that anyone getting a vaccine is not processed through any passport department. they are just given reminder cards of what vaccine batch they had and when their second dose appointment is.
yep you can go shopping, you can go out the house for a walk. no one is door-to-door knocking asking for ID. no military is holding up a gun demanding you get vaccinated.

so if you dont want to feel like you are in a prison. open the door. and step out. get some fresh air and a different prospective. find a different point of view
7784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Taliban gains from US exit from Afghanistan on: September 08, 2021, 02:25:00 PM
sily thing is that US signed a truce/deal with the taliban that US troops will leave if taliban take control to ensure al-queda do not take over..but america now says it doesnt want to rush into recognising the new taliban governement

thats like doing a deal to opt to replace a CEO of a company. but then have the shareholders then linger around and pretend they dont recognise the new CEO.

by declining recognition is not a sign of wanting to have peaceful diplomatic talks. its a sign of wanting to avoid diplomacy.

its as if america wants turbulance and terror to continue to make america look important to need to step in with aid/support and if things go too long without diplomacy. ending up restarting another war.

what should happen is all the pentagon and whitehouse officials in the planning of the US troop exit should themselves put on their best dress robes and themselves get on a plane into afghanistan and start the diplomatic negotiations of helping set up a free and open election and offer aid and support during the transition period

no guns.. just pens and paper.

saying its going to take months to get translators out and into safezones.. means US has no plans to go in and talk to the taliban(no translators for months)
7785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abortion should be banned. on: September 08, 2021, 09:32:58 AM
life is not precious. many people in this topic that pretend life is precious, actually think freedom and choice is precious.. not life

many people in this forum are ok with having the choice to be anti-vax and affect others lives.

americans love their guns. meaning death in the defence of others freedom is allowed.
so if a pregnancy is going to affect the freedoms of the mother. then yes the abortion is a defence

americans like freedom of choice
so again if the mother makes a choice she should be allowed to make the choice

americans like being anti-rape
so if a woman has an unwanted being inside her. thats rape. and should be stopped

the funny part is the anti-abortion lunatics dont care much about rape. as they want the conceived outcome to continue

the even funnier part is the sexist mindset that woman should not have a choice and also the mindset that woman are just vessels for a males desires

do they wake up and realise that trump is an idiot.
7787  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Insurance is a pyramid scheme on: September 07, 2021, 09:19:19 PM
ponzi's are not limited to "investments"
but heck.. isnt insurance an investment into future care/repair/compensation later

anyways
both ponzi and insurance are not tangeable assets. they are contracts of service with lots of loopholes and methods to avoid payments.
the only subtle difference is that insurance is meant to pay out to the ones in need not the ones in greed

with that said. insurances are only inviting due to how they create a fake value system of the costs of things without insurance

EG if 1 doctor on $200k a year. 3 nurses on $60k a year. went into a room thats rented at $10 a year
on paper the real value of a 4 hour surgery
is
~$300 doctor
~$180 for 3 nurses
~$5 for the room

so less then $1k all in.. yet due to the value system they make it appear as $80k per surgery

thus comes in the wealth promise, inverted. a ponzi of saying it will protect against debt by investing in insurance

its legal because insurance can offer good. but over the last 2 decades in some countries. its actually a bad deal.
which is why things like the US government are always trying to change healthcare laws and insurance packages to try finding the 'good' line
7788  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 vaccinations should be a choice, not a government mandate on: September 07, 2021, 09:01:50 PM
wait.. when was it a mandate..
...

it is a choice.
but with all choice are consequences

no government has ever said that if people say no, then a military guy will knock on door holding you at gunpoint and force you to be injected.. you simply can say no and not go to the appointment.

however not having it. means many things. where other peoples choices can then affect you...
you preffering to be a mass viral incubator, makes other people at risk from you. so for other peoples safety, that might affect your life. such as requiring you stay away from them.. or to do regular testing and be sent home for a week at the first sign your infected. . it could be any other number of things.

yes you have a choice but choices do come with consequences. and remember other people have choices too and their choices can affect you.
no one will point a gun at you. but dont expect your life to be normal if your choice is going to affect others
because you wanting to be a face licking mouth breather invading other peoples personal space is then you taking their choice away from them. they may choose to not want to have you near them. which is their choice

now do you still like "choice" when it starts to affect your life. you know, like your manager chooses to protect his staff from you? giving you the choice to resign or submit to work changes or get vaccinated.. he is offering 3 choices. so whats the problem
7789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel's 'Coronavirus Czar' Tells Citizens To Prepare For Eventual 4th Shot on: September 07, 2021, 08:54:33 PM
Hey, I'm not trying to argue with you but I am curious and you seem to know about these things: Why don't I need to take multiple polio shots throughout my lifetime, and why can't I still get polio after taking a single vaccine for it?

polio doesnt spread from breathing. it spreads by unsanitary touching and eating
polio is most severe in babies.toddlers.

having polio as a childhood vaccine protects the kids most. as they are the ones that need it
then. as kids 'age out' of the vulnerable category the need for a vaccine is much lower.
so less/no need for booster shots for adults

there is also some chemistry, biology and physics involved with the way the polio does things in the body(passing many defence mechanisms before getting to the spinal nerve. offering many opportunities for body to defend)..

where as covid inhaling is then straight to the target cell in lungs meaning not many defence points the body has before its already at target site.
also covid affects the older population most. meaning the older you are the more you need protection. and as nature goes. everyone gets older.

yep thats right teenagers/adults are less physically harmed by polio. and teenagers/adults are less likely to drink, touch, eat things that are unsanitary things so as they become no longer todlers their own risks are diminished. and even if they still are unsanitary the harms are diminished.

where as with covid. the more you live life the more vulnerable you become. where just having the wrong person breathing on you is a risk. and your body doesnt have many prevention defences to stop it before getting to the lungs.

you cant really compare the two viruses because their target cells are different. their population groups are different. their transmission methods are different. and their passage in the body are different
7790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MrBeast now teaming with Coinbase to give away $100,000 in Bitcoin on Twitter! on: September 06, 2021, 11:45:39 PM
Mr beast is just taking advertisement media, sponsorship and game show entertainment and throwing it all together

other game shows like jeopardy, who wants to be a millionaire, american idol are all just shows running something entertainy, offering groups of people a large money prize for competing and all that money coming from advertising/sponsors

he has not re-invented the wheel. he has just made the wheel more shiny

some say he didnt really hightlight bitvoin/coinbase much...
yet he cant go over board advertising the sponsor as some things like youtube dont like that as they are not getting a managers fee(a cut of the deal) as the sponsor money is a private deal between coinbase and mr beast.
same goes for going too heavy advertising dunkin doughnuts on american idol if its sponsored them. they cant exactly mention it every fourth word for example

i think Mr beast done a sponsor deal for $1.5m. so that he had $500k prize $500k sub prizes(split other 49 contestants at $10k average). $100k twitter prize and $400k for bills and mrbeast income. its not cheap to hire a stadium for a day

insurance is a ponzi..
new monthly premiums used to pay older members payouts..

..
a pyramid is about recruiting like 3 people whos main job is to recruit 3 other people where the dont get paid really from selling products, but get their main income from the recruitment sign up fee of those below

7795  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is the security of exchanges and wallets sufficient? on: September 04, 2021, 11:27:53 AM
exchanges DO NOT need to have private keys on their webservers.

having 3 simple databases.
a. a database of JUST public keys for users deposits.
b. a database of customers login details
c. a database to save withdrawal requests

(a) exchange owner creates keypairs offline on a remote system and keeps the keypairs on the remote system away from the web server. it then uploads just the public keys as a list of potential deposit addresses to link to users exchange account profiles.

(b)these days with phone apps. even users can add to the protection. by having their phone app create a keypair and offer the exchange the public key as an ID as part of registration().
whereby requesting a withdrawal is no longer inputting a password which the exchange keeps a copy of, but instead where the users app signs a message using the users keypair and sends only the signature.
thus avoiding passwords/private keys on webservers

(c)no actual private key is put in it. instead its just "pay out xbtc to xxx address from x account balance, heres users signature'
and separately, a remote system looks in on this database. and its then the remote system that processes the withdrawal after confirming the request is legit.

thus no hacker attacking the webserver ever gets hold of a private key to spend exchange funds and cant have the users privatekeyID/password to falsify a withdrawal address

and any change to the exchanges webserver database of public keys/user registration ID can be noticed by comparing it to the remote system the exchange has elsewhere.

....
but with all that said. even if an exchange offers good security from hackers. there is still the risk of dataloss/theft BY THE exchange on their remote system (blackout, emp, internal theft, virus, accidents) which can put funds at harm

so its much better to only use an exchange when you want to exchange. and not as a custodial wallet(savings bank)

most exchanges are not fully licenced money services businesses, so dont offer the insurances and refund guarantees that banking institutions offer.

so use them as a temporary service and not a permanent store. otherwise..
MTGOX, cryptsy, mintpal, cryptorush, bitcoinica, btc-e can happen to you
7796  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: September 04, 2021, 04:14:35 AM
3 steps to prove a virus exists.
  • Isolate, extract the virus from a sick person and purify it so you have an isolate of only pure viral particles and nothing else.
  • Visualize this virus under a microscope take photos, characterize it as a unique biological structure. Sequence its genome
  • Transfer the purified virus into an experimental host and cause disease

done done and done.
7797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion in the society on: September 04, 2021, 04:11:07 AM
Man has an understanding and fear of death. This means that most have to create or believe in a god and associated religion.

.. thats like saying only immortals dont have to believe in god...
.. but then as an immortal. are they then god themselves

..
jokes aside
but rationally. its actually those that DONT have an understanding of death, that need it most to create a god to try explaining away the things they cant understand

[spoiler]
when you die. your 'essence' 'soul' does not re-manifest or become reborn
your energy does not float about into space and as a consciousness with wings and a halo
instead your energy(sugars and proteins of your corpse) rot/sit as 'potential energy' which other things(maggots, worms, bacteria) then consume to power THEIR consciousness.. your consciousness is just gone. ended. finito. zero, nada. obliterated.

i say this because if people stop thinking of an afterlife. they may actually start caring about their current life
and not think "its ok if i F**k up this life, i can just get a free reset in the next one"
EG middle eastern suicide bombers would be less likely to agree to commit suicide if they knew there were not dozens of virgins waiting for them
EG western idiots would do less crimes if they knew they only had one life

the whole rhetoric of 'forgiveness, a full reset, a new life" gets used too much to excuse idiots and let them do things thinking they can always be forgiven.

the whole point of it was not as an excuse to be an idiot, continually and repeatedly. but instead. if you done a mistake and the remorse and guilt is torturing you beyond what is expected, then you can forgive yourself to ease your mind and allow you to learn from it and then lead a good life. in the current and only life
7798  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Taliban have claimed control of Panjshir with the help of American weapons on: September 04, 2021, 03:45:48 AM
taliban taking over afghanistan.. is not the disaster as a consequence to a spontaneous withdrawal
taliban taking over afghanistan.. is america's signed and declared and allowed plan as part of the withdrawal

US president trump and pentagon signed a deal with the taliban over a year ago to allow the taliban takeover

the disaster after withdrawal would be if al-queda took over.
the taliban run afghanistan way way before america invaded afghanistan. so its pretty much putting things back as they found it in 2001

yes leaving equipment, weapons and vehicles behind looks like a silly thing to do. but i bet if you look deep enough that there was probably a deal like: 'let american troops leave peacefully and here is your compensation, weapons and vehicles we'll leave behind'

after all once they fire a couple rockets at hills, learning how to use the equipment. the afghans will need to purchase more rockets from.. yep you guessed it.. the US.
which is another plan. rather than letting russia or china supply afghanistan, knowing afghanistan would let al-queda take over if russia/china were fueling afghanistan with weapons and other deals

its all part of a bigger more extended plot. to US pentegon. this months events is inevitable 'drama' that needs to happen to get the next phase in line. 'diplomatic trade'

america running afghanistan wasnt doing much trade with afghanistan because its literally paying itself.
but now america is out. america can make money from afghanistan.

..
just as fast as they got troops out. they are already last week organising sending NGO's back in. calling it 'support, aid and diplomatic missions"

grab active emails. put them into a database.. sell the database to scammers..

wait 6 months and soon you will have
A. a nigerian friend tell you that he has been hospitalised and needs bitcoin to pay medical bills.
B. someone prompting you about a bitcoin business/ico/project they want you to invest in
C. use your name/fame as a chairmen of their HYIP/ICO scam

nothing new here.
7800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is not profitable enough! on: September 03, 2021, 06:19:02 PM
I think it is both unrealistic and unreasonable to demand the same level of security at all times. The resources needed to attack Bitcoin is astronomical at it's current stage, to the point where it is ridiculous to be attacking Bitcoin, and we still have block rewards. I don't see the need for block size to be increasing because there is nothing to be compensated for. Bitcoin is secure enough at the current stage, and it would suffice to have a linear increase for the near future.

miners income is more relational to the bitcoin price
if it cost people $2 you mine gold in their backyard they would happily sell it for $6 and 3x their investment. and gold around the world would average $6 on markets
because it costs over $1000 to mine gold they are selling it for $1600+

same with bitcoin. the PRICE is more of a factor than the sat amount they can grab
even as the reward halves or if the fee's halve the miners would just hoard until the PRICE satisfies the cost.

transaction count has absolutely no relationship to security.
a 500byte block. a 5kb block, a 0.5mb block. a 1.5mb block or even a 4mb block. changes nothing for asics.
they just receive a 256bit hash. and thats what they compute.

the desire to increase transaction count is not about security. its about utility.
actually making bitcoin useful

bitcoin in 2014-15 was doing great, thousands of businesses were accepting bitcoin. but now its at a point where hardly any business wants to adopt bitcoin and instead are adopting other altnets
