8561  Economy / Economics / Re: Estimating the energy/power consumption of the Bitcoin Network on: April 10, 2021, 06:17:47 PM
lets see if there is more simply math to work out electric consumption

155exa hash in february(average)

outdated oldschool tech
asics:S9  hashrate: 14th  wattage:1.3kwh
=11071429 asics
=14,392,857kw/h

current tech
asics:s19 hashrate 95th  wattage:3.25kwh
=1,631,579 asics
=5,302,631kw/h

next gen tech
asics:S19pro  hashrate: 110th  wattage:1.3kwh
=1409091 asics
=4,579,545.kw/h

seems easier math then what BurtW keeps promoting

...
soo lets dollarise it -with burtW $0.03 electric cost
s9: kwh*0.03 =$575,714.28
/6block/6.25coin=$15,352.38 per btc

s19: kwh*0.03=$159,078.93
/6block/6.25=$4,242.10 per btc

s19pro: kwh*0.03=$137386.35
/6block/6.25=$3,663.63 per btc

now wasnt that easy

..
these numbers are about the energy power consumption amount. .. but do not include the hardware ROI costs
8562  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How important is privacy to you in this forum? on: April 10, 2021, 02:28:18 AM
As long as I am sure the account has not changed hands, then I am much happier trusting someone based on long term behavior than I am on simply knowing their name and location.

yes you can build trust over time. small increments. you can use services to alleviate risk(escrow)

..
but when there is a newb with only a 2 post count asking for financial favours.. .. saying youll happily trade with someone you know nothing about is a stretch

im sure even you avoid the nigerian prince posts and alot of the ICO scams
8563  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Will vaccine passports lead to the demise of vaccines? on: April 10, 2021, 02:19:53 AM
'privacy'??

when you have  vaccine its done by a medical centre who have medical records anyway.
yep they know your name and health history already so marking a record that you had a vaccine changes nothing.. thats how medical record have always worked..

they simply put it on your medical record. and separately for privacy reasons put just the vaccination detail on a separate database

when you book a flight and get on a plane. the airline already knew your name and home address and bank details anyway(you booked and paid for the flight)
being told you been vaccinated does not mean they know your entire medical history
giving them your credit card number doesnt give them your entire bank statement history
..
the schemes are not about giving a bar owner access to your whole life of bank records and medical history

its just a scheme for airlines to know just about vaccination. not the other medical stuff
they are not accessing your medical records they are getting the data from a separate database of only the vaccine

if your concerned about governments
even without a vaccine database. the government can still get a warrant for bank details .. and a warrant for medical records and learn your whole life history
the vaccine database does not have your bank details. nor your medical record. so it doesnt make any difference

if you think that the vaccine database reveals your name.. well stop crying because you already provided your name when you booked the flight. yep airlines have always known the names of people flying on their planes

having a vaccine and that recorded on a vaccine database does not reveal you went on a plane. just vaccine related data
again governments will still need to piece your medical records and your bank history and your flight history by getting a warrant for all 3 separate things from different departments

the vaccine database does not reveal those other things in one place

but im going to emphasise this
governments can work out alot about you by looking at all the other things. its never been about they cant. its about that you are (if not involved in a crime) not important enough for them to get data from your hospital/bank/airline

a vaccine database does not make you less private in any way

yep ill emphasise this again
you are not important enough for them to even bother investigating so they are not even bothering to build a case against you of your whole life....... unless your a criminal of interest

..
the only fear i think anti-vaxx idiots should fear.. is that while publicly saying they are anti-vax. if their cult leaders hacked the vaccine database and found out which of their 'devoted' followers secretly had the vaccine. thus being removed from the anti-vax cult. and losing their 'friendships' in their cultish community
8564  Other / Politics & Society / Re: mRNA vaccines may cause your body to churn out Mad Cow Disease prions on: April 10, 2021, 01:29:12 AM
just writing in blue does not make your insanity any less sane

RNA has multiple sections with multiple functions
mrna is a subclass/second of rna.

without the replication factor (mrna does not have that) there is no mutation to 'cause your body to churn out mad cow disease prions'

and the funny part is you dont need to be a medical expert to know this. it just requires spending a lil time researching

so how about you stop wasting days repeating ignorant insanities. and spend that time doing actual research

no more time wasting empty rebuttals. spend your time doing research away from your conspiracy site sources.. then you might begin to learn how real stuff works
8565  Other / Off-topic / Re: Future Cities on: April 09, 2021, 11:31:00 PM
seems the topic creator thinks starting a new city will allow outlaws
sorry but any land you have which is within a state still has to follow state laws.

if there was a town promoting 'our doctors are untrained and unlicensed' the only people wanting to live there.. are the people wanting to die there (assisted suicide style)
8566  Other / Politics & Society / Re: mRNA vaccines may cause your body to churn out Mad Cow Disease prions on: April 09, 2021, 05:46:34 PM
mrna is not prions.. prions is not mrna

mrna does not create prions by default

DAMAGED rna does
mrna vaccine do not have the replication factors to mutate.

end of story
8567  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Proof that the World Health Organization Relabeled Flu Cases as Covid-19 on: April 08, 2021, 10:21:47 PM
wrong in so many ways

"flu" is not a classification of a single illness of a single cause.

in 2021 there were many cases of flus that were not covid if you look at the individual strain counts

however flu (multiple types) include covid.
a "flu" count is not calling all cases as covid. its classing all strains of flu including covid as flu

what you need to take into account is many factors
1. people wearing masks and social distancing declined the number of infections
2. cry baby mild sufferers(who were not severe) from old seasonal flus decided to stay away from hospitals/family clinics

there are more. but lets see if your smart enough to guess them
8568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: mRNA vaccines may cause your body to churn out Mad Cow Disease prions on: April 08, 2021, 10:02:57 PM
prions are misfolded proteins
prions occur after multiple generations of mutations that cause a misfold

funny part is though. that mrna in vaccine have been made specifically..WITHOUT PRIONS
funny part is vaccines do not mutate. do not cross-infect. do not replicate

vaccines are not a thing which happens in nature where over several generations a protein breaks down to cause a misfold
vaccine mrna is no longer functional in its first generation with a lasting effect at mrna level in the human body of 3 days. and the spike is dealt with and remove within 28 days

vaccines do not have generations or mutations. each vaccine has a specific sequence

for emphasis prion creation is not something that happens from a prime/new specific thing
it happens after multiple generations of mutations in the wild from something that can replicate and mutate

thus vaccine does not cause prions. but a naturally wild virus that has mutated multiple generations can
8569  Other / Politics & Society / Re: vaccine campaigns ‘will be used for massive-scale depopulation: Former Pfizer VP on: April 08, 2021, 09:05:35 PM
^^^ Keep up the good trolling. You might make it to greedy-leader levels if you talk against the truth enough.

are you denying that yeadon is part of the "frontline"TM antivax group
are you denying that yeadon worked on treatment products related to asthma and not viruses

ido not work for anyone. thats the beauty of bitcoin. im a early adopter of 2012 and been living happily without the need to seek out funds from others
im self sustained and independently wealthy(you jealous?)

your footer shows you advertise pharma products. so its you twisting things regarding your thoughts about pharma and trolling by having a flip flop hypocritical mantra
8570  Other / Politics & Society / Re: vaccine campaigns ‘will be used for massive-scale depopulation: Former Pfizer VP on: April 08, 2021, 07:43:29 PM
was wondering why the link had 'aflds' .... oh look its the antivax 'frontline' doctors that have not personally been virologists or immunologist working on covid..

oh look dr yeadon doesnt want to prevent people getting covid he wants to sell inhalers and pills as a 'treatment than may reduce symptoms'

has his treatments even been used or tested on covid......... nope. only asthma
and how weird it is that he wants to stop something that has gone through 9 months of testing on the exact thing it is found to help prevent.. just so he can sell his untested treatment that 'might' help in his opinion but not tested

you really got to laugh at the hypocrisy of the COVID-unexpereinced 'frontline doctors'
its like they dont want to prevent gunshots because they instead want to sell sutures and scalpels
its like they dont want to prevent car accidents they instead want to sell surgical tools and prosthetics

so if you want to cry about 'pharma profit' ask yourself the $3 per dose vaccine vs whatever product the antivax doctors promote
$6 per year vs ?? per year..
look at badeckers footnote listing multiple things. add up their yearly costs and see which side is profiting

oh and if you want to cry about safety standards. vaccines are atleast 1500x safer than getting covid
8571  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Will vaccine passports lead to the demise of vaccines? on: April 08, 2021, 02:44:55 PM
you will NOT and never will need a 'covid passport' for going to a retail store pub or cafe

no one will be stupid to pay £120 to have a test just to be confirmed negative to be able to have a pint and then need to pay another £120 a few days later to reconfirm they are not infected to have another pint on another day

businesses would never demand such a stupid thing either

the covid passports are for those who want to fly to countries on aeroplanes(cylinder air prisons) but dont want to quarantine
by being vaccinated or having a test within 48 hours of the plane ride. allows passengers to not have to be put in quarantine on arrival

if only the conspiracy idiots would actually do two things. they could alleviate their own fears
1. realise they they as basement dwellers wont travel on a plane anyway. thus hve no need for a covid pass
2. realise the covid pass wont be used for grocery stores or pubs
8572  Economy / Economics / Re: The total value of the crypto currency market is near $2 trillion on: April 08, 2021, 09:05:44 AM
But if the owner of the asset only holds, it’s unrealized value, and the price the current buyers are willing to pay for them is either higher or lower. Bitcoins purchased at $10.00 during 2011 - 2012 is not $10.00 anymore.

you really are missing the point..

take me i got my btc hoard at $6each in 2012.. and i have no exit price.. but even now i still remember my realized price

yes when i sell. i trigger the next persons realized price because thats what they bought it for

its not about the sell. its about the buy
if 80% of people with active coins have a realized buy price at say $37k+.. thats 80% not willing to sell below $37k

it doesnt matter what the price is now. its a logical fact that people dont want to sell at a loss
if you would sell at a loss.. then give trading up. you will always lose if you sell at a loss

its not about the ATH its not about current price. its not about how high they want to SELL..
its about the low and about what they are NOT WILLING to sell below

..
so lets say there was a 'bank run' (mega dip). people wont sell at a loss. they will 'hodl'.
when you realise that if 18million coins will not all equally get the current price.. you sooner you learn to not base their value on the current price. the better

market cap is a meaningless number that does not represent the actual value line someone values their coin at

i personally dont care about the $55k+ current price.
im still ok even if the price went down to $7. as i still value that as profit
8573  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies: A Legal Regulatory System on: April 08, 2021, 08:47:05 AM
regulations can regulate <anything> because it doesnt actually set laws on the <anything> it regulates how people handle the <anything>

never think that regulations are impossible because of bitcoins tech.. because its never about bitcoins tech. its about the people using it.

beer bottles and cannabis plants have no eyes ears or brain to understand government laws.. so government dont aim regulations/laws at the 'product'. they aim it at the humans using it

laws cannot tell bitcoin its an asset rather than a currency. but it can inform devs, fund managers, exchanges  to treat it as an asset or currency for their own tax return declarations

and yes people do get arrested for handling things they are not supposed to. or fined for things they didnt declare when they should have
8574  Economy / Economics / Re: Janet Yellen to call for unified global corporate tax rate on: April 08, 2021, 01:00:24 AM
getting g20 countries to apply a unified corporation tax rate wont change anything

the companies will just have a HQ in one of the other 170 countries
yes they will operate in america and G20 countries but run them as franchises where their 'profit' gets transported to the non G20 countries as 'management fee's'.. thus have no 'profit' within the G20 and thus no corporation tax to pay

its how companies do it already and nothing will change

what needs to happen is to actually do a proper sales tax. where companies have to hand over tax from the sales they make within the country before its syphoned off or diluted by 'hidden costs'

UK has a sales tax(VAT) of 20% .. US has under 8% sales tax.. and thats where the treasury deficit is being hit the most

raising corporation tax solves nothing due to all the tax loopholes
biden should raise the sales tax

and no its not going to cause a large change in product sales prices. as corporations should be paying 20%+ anyway.. but this way they have to pay it. and not be able to syphon/dilute their tax bill using loopholes
8575  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin mining in Texas - new trend - will Tesla follow on: April 07, 2021, 10:35:20 PM
need we forget texas's power cuts not so long ago

texas needs a hell of alot of investment to upgrade its current electrical infrastructure
im guessing they done alot of good deals to offer cheap electric contracts to big miners to get some big money flowing into the electrical companies
8576  Economy / Economics / Re: High-Frequency Traders Eye Satellites for Ultimate Speed Boost on: April 07, 2021, 10:20:11 PM
most HFT have their trading floors(buildings) within 60miles of an exchange
having fibre is better than the interference risks of satalites and the 200miles distance a data has to travel up and down the atmosphere

satalite are only useful for data thats more then 200miles.. but with interference its more like the effect of having fibre 300miles

so what traders do is not work 200-300miles away with a latency of 300%-500% instead they work within 60 miles of a exchange and have private bespoke fibre cables just dedicated to going to the exchange

elons starlink is for those in area's where fibre and 5g is hard to lay out. (people living offgrid-deserted areas)
its aim is not to offer HFT.. as HF traders already have fast dedicated lines. heck their lines are not used by other residents or other businesses so there is no speed bottlenecks due to data congestion.

elons starlink cant offer that

8577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DoveWallet stole my ETH and now is not responding on: April 07, 2021, 10:06:37 PM
the way to know if they are ignoring you.
pretend to be a new user wanting general info..
if they respond to fresh user not complaining faster then a current user with  complaint.. then yes they are ignoring you

try it again pretend to be a fresh user..  and when you get someone talking. tell them who you really are.

..
it is worth noting. some 'projects' are not established companies with call centres or support teams.sometimes its just a couple guys answering emails while bug fixing. so dont expect responses within 48 hours in most cases of crypto support

however like i said.. test them out. see if they weirdly have time to interact with new customers while ignoring customers with true issues that need resolving

..
the 'deposit' might be just that. what you requested and the remainder might be a 'change' address that re-supplies the source. try checking the source to see if the 0.12 is back where it was before you done the 'deposit'

if all else fails try to find their companies physical location and more information about those involved and other additional contact info
(domainbyproxy:godaddy seems shady)
8578  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies: A Legal Regulatory System on: April 07, 2021, 09:40:26 PM
A system that allows you to easily regulate the cryptocurrency market and influence it thanks to the classification given by their scalability.

I'm totally missing how you're calculating this scalability in your paper.

Quote
Since scalability is the major distinction that affects not only the usability of the cryptocurrency but
also the proof of work related to it, one could foresee:

A Table I for cryptocurrencies with a scalability of more than 2 minutes to be framed at the legislative
level as a safe haven similar to gold and a Table II with cryptocurrencies with a scalability of less than
2 minutes with an applicable legislation typical of classic financial instruments (shares, bonds , etc…).

What is this scalability of under or over two minutes?

it about coins that have blocktimes of over 2 minutes or under two minutes
over two minutes are too long to be useful for 'cash' purchases. so the proposal is to class cryptos that take 2mins+ to confirm as 'commodity' and class coins that confirm in under 2mins as 'cash'

basically bitcoin = digital gold
crap coin= digital cash

what the topic creator does not realise by calling bitcoin a commodity is that he is too foolishly trying to put bitcoin into a classification of a golds UTILITY class and not its INVESTMENT class

bitcoin and gold should be in an investment class of ASSET
commodities are materials used to create other products.

gold sits in 2 categories.
commodity. because it can be used to make jewellery and electronic parts..
asset. because its a medium of value transfer and holding

the topic creator has wrongly chosen to identify bitcoin as having the same utility as wheat/oil/gold. not realising that golds asset classification also exists.

anyway.. all he wants to do is try classifying different coins into different utilities.. even when he seems to not understand the difference between commodity vs asset

hint: edit PDF to say asset not commodity

kind of funny... men demanding laws about what woman should do with their bodies..

even funnier.. virgin male called badecker thinking he understands relationships, families.
even funnier.. badecker loves guns and think its his right to kill anyone that he doesnt like..

seems badeckers christian values oposes his capitalist values

one side he wants idiots to receive money in things that cause death(gun sales)
another side he wants to remove funding that can help woman avoid unwanted pregnancy
