783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending and Receiving Stolen Coins. on: May 20, 2012, 12:08:53 PM
Unless you don't believe in net neutrality / free speech on the internet, there is nothing wrong with requesting and keeping coins that were hacked. Of course, there may be some legal issues involved, so weigh the risks accordingly.

But if you do receive these "tainted" bitcoins, it's completely against the decentralized design of Bitcoin to send them to some central authority (in this case Luke's address) for proper return to their owner. Why should I trust this central authority to properly return the Bitcoin? Why not return them in another way that I see fit?

Yeah. Why can't zhoutong put up an address so we can return them ourselves without them going through Luke's pockets first Huh

I trust Luke because he is a dev but zhoutong should post his address here !

Hacker seems to have left the channel.

What nick and IP was he using ?

So where is the mass leak ?

Were those images it ?
786  Other / Meta / Re: Forum rules on: May 19, 2012, 10:14:39 PM
No, I wanted to know the forum rules to determine primarily:
1) If it is a violation of them to post a user's personal information. (Doesn't appear there are any rules against this)
2) How far anyone can troll without getting banned. Not just you.

I just want to make sure we're not going to be banned for you making posts and me pretending to be upset about them over the course of the next six months or however long we choose to keep this theater going. I said when I bought your debt this was going to be fun.

Feel free to post my personal information, I don't mind since :

1) I have nothing to hide

2) I consider I have done nothing illegal / to be ashamed of / dodgy

Let the FUNZ begin !

787  Economy / Trading Discussion / CoinURL not allowing refunds (split from Beware of scammers!) on: May 19, 2012, 04:17:51 PM
You are free now to ask a refund according to the new policy!
I'm not going to give some stranger enough documentation to ruin my life to comply with laws that don't exist.

Can you direct me to the appropriate "legistration" (I assume you mean legislation)?

How much BTC are we talking about here ?
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / CoinURL not allowing refunds (split from Beware of scammers!) on: May 19, 2012, 04:01:27 PM
AML does not apply to Bitcoin.

This is insane.

What Huh I already thought you had your refund !

789  Economy / Securities / Re: Mini rig enterprise on: May 19, 2012, 03:40:58 PM
Seriously, until you get that tag removed you are on my ignore list.

I am trying to payback Raize and get the tag removed but how can I scam you when I am the one giving BTC ?

Good luck to you and your venture but I still think 10% is too much.
790  Economy / Securities / Re: Mini rig enterprise on: May 19, 2012, 03:30:59 PM
I'm sorry bulanula you are not invited.

Why not ? I have 300 BTC ready to go, seriously !
791  Economy / Securities / Re: Mini rig enterprise on: May 19, 2012, 03:27:10 PM
Do you have free elec or something at your "location" ?

10% sounds too much. I would be more interested for 5% costs.

792  Other / Meta / Re: Forum rules on: May 19, 2012, 03:23:44 PM
Okay thanks. I was just curious due to your PM regarding not banning someone unless they had violated forum rules and I didn't know if these were guidelines and then there were actual rules (like I said, "do X and get banned") or three-strikes or what-not.

If someone wanted to make a case that another user was trolling, how many separate conversations where someone said one thing in private and then posted otherwise in public in order to make the other person look bad would need to be provided in order to justify a ban? Or would it simply just not be allowable because it was done in private? Perhaps a better way of phrasing this is, do you only ban when the troll is successful in upsetting the person in question, or would you ban if there was sufficient enough reason to?

Thanks in advance.

Ha ha HA, very funny Mr. Raize.

Ban me all you want.

Really funny seeing you ask about how you are going to get me banned.

Funnier still because I hope you know once I get banned you will NEVER get those 22.5 BTC of yours back.

If I am not banned and scammer tagged then I have an incentive to give your BTC back.

Or are you trying to deal with me : "gimme 22.5 BTC and I won't tell theymos to ban you" Huh

What a joke ...
793  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Nvidia + ATI? on: May 19, 2012, 02:55:30 PM
What is a workable solution for the above in Linux ?

Somebody must know !

I think integrated ATI GPU on the mobo or the APU will work in Linux without problems !

Too bad Sempron 140 does not have integrated GPU ! Any good mobo with integrated AMD GPU ?
794  Economy / Trading Discussion / CoinURL not allowing refunds (split from Beware of scammers!) on: May 19, 2012, 02:52:05 PM
My opinion is that giantdragon's no-refund policy is perfectly reasonable, and he doesn't deserve a scammer tag. This is different than bulanula's case because:
- mcorlett can't prove that he sent the BTC by accident.
- This trade wasn't done on the forum, so it feels "out of my jurisdiction".
- giantdragon had a stated no-refund policy.
- giantdragon is not saying ridiculous scammy things like bulanula is.

Still, I think it'd be most appropriate for giantdragon to refund the BTC just this once because mcorlett was confused about the no-refund policy. I'd feel better about trading with giantdragon if I knew he occasionally bent his rules to help out his customers in cases like this.

Smart1985 can't prove he sent anything by mistake either. Trade was done on BTC-E exchange NOT FORUM.

I also told him no refunds for a service. A faulty product ? Yes but not a service. Can't rollback time or a service that costs man hours. Time machine to refund time has not been invented yet.

What scammy things did I say ?

If giantdragon does not get scammer tagged then my scammer tag needs to be removed ASAP because it is the same crap of "no refunds" ( typical scammer behaviour ).

I don't give refunds = I get scammer tag.

Giantdragon doesn't give refunds = he gets NOTHING Huh
795  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mini Rig announcement by Butterfly Labs - 25gh/s on: May 19, 2012, 02:09:36 PM
Can't edit post above but it seems there is this writing on the chips this time around :

NDBAN20242
4PDHATWOA

Can't find anything about these but they look very strange indeed for a FPGA chip.
796  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mini Rig announcement by Butterfly Labs - 25gh/s on: May 19, 2012, 02:03:38 PM
OK. Anyone have an idea of the chips they are using now ?

750 MHash/s for a single chip really is strange and very high.

I am afraid this is the death of GPUs Cry unless 7990 comes out soon.

Any update for EU buyers and VAT avoidance Huh I really want to buy but the VAT kills it.
797  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Dead 7970 DD Fan Alternative on: May 19, 2012, 01:58:52 PM
Gotta love XFX and 7970s Wink

Do you get lifetime warranty too ?
798  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x 7970 psu? on: May 19, 2012, 12:20:19 PM
bitlane, I was asking if it could be done.

Leave the power and heat requirements to me.

Anybody know what memory speeds to flash for 7970s ?

Using Linux here and never had any of the issues you guys are reporting.

Windows is the root cause of your problems, I suspect.

When is BSOD who are you going to blame ? cgminer as well ? Haha !
800  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.4.1 on: May 18, 2012, 05:45:25 PM
Could somebody help me with an issue I'm having using any miner (cgminer included)?

My cards are only using 50% of their CPU Shocked constantly, as shown on the screenies below:

Any idea why this is happening?
My system:

- 2x 5970
- Ubuntu 11.04
- AMD SDK 2.4

You think you have a CPU in your GPU Huh
