just set up lite client from google apps per instructions posted by twiggy smile worked like a charm generated seed made password copied address to ico confirmed via email... that seemed too easy... thank you twiggy
So after you create the account, link your address on the ico website and confirm via mail, what must you do to withdraw? You must wait, because the devs are processing all withdraws manually to make sure things are OK.

When will the offical wallet be released on 14th June? thx~
Only the devs know. After they have provided the full node wallets to some exchanges it depends on the exchanges internal routines before they have everything setup and working. So even after the distribution, trading won't start right away. We will have to wait and see the official announcement channels for Waves and various exchanges before we know.

May someone please address me to a step by step guide on how to correctly download install and use waves wallet?
Start here: https://blog.wavesplatform.com/wavesplatform-mainnet-launched-22f65b46d6af#.2l7x57505go grab the plugin for Chrome and generate a new address. Copy the seed string (eg Horse Cat Banana Yellow Happy etc....) and store it SAFE! Then copy for Waves address and paste it into the ICO site and wait for verification email, and for the devs to go through the payouts. Note that they are doing this manually, so just sit tight and they will work through all transactions as fast as possible.

everytime i confirm my wave adress with my mail, the ico page tells me again i need to confirm my adress in my email, and again, and again,
I'm pretty sure it is supposed to ask for verification after each change, even if you just paste in the same Waves address again. But are you receiving an email for verification? Are the provided verification links not working?

|
Are we finished with distribution?
I am still waiting for mine from ICO to my wallet Another distribution WAVE is getting ready for transactions, according to Twitter, so keep an eye out for your wallets!

sasha35625 [8:40 AM] Morning Wavesters, Today is the day, withdrawals will be processed.
sasha35625 [10:04 AM] Final tests! launching mainnet block explorer and proceeding to payouts.
What about these "incorrect accounts" You guys mentioned something about addresses not being correct for some people. How would anyone know their address is not correct in the lite wallet? I think people were writing in strings that were not valid Waves addresses, e.g. Phoney Street 12, Scammetown. or something similarly invalid Or possible trying to write the Waves address by hand and missing out a character or 2-3-4 etc.

......
And why would anyone send it to another wallet first. Lisk went wrong on that, but okay in the end.
To avoid the LiSK troubles of course. If everyone kept their tokens on the Waves ICO wallet site. You can bet it would DDOSed hard as trading started to open up. If lots of users have setup a lite client on their home machines, odds are they can send and move their coins a lot easier than hoping that the ICO site doesn't go down in flames. It's really good thinking. Decentralization Something we all should see the value of!

Worked great setting up the lite wallet with Chrome on OSX. Still waiting for the email but otherwise all is fine as far as I can tell. To those who are getting internal error on the ICO iste, try logging out and back in again. That worked for me and my address was already present in the ICO gui.

Why is this being posted on a non-official Waves twitter account?

In all fairness, what difference does it make if we have access to the lite-client today or tomorrow? The main importance is that all users can have and hold access to their Wave tokens prior to the official mainnet launch on the 14th of June. When the exchange or exchanges open up for business, it will be most beneficial for everyone to have control of their own funds, so the Lisk problems aren't repeated for the Waves team.

because i still have about 0.8 which i kept for days since the day i invested to some ICO. i might earn more later and will not use them til halving. so how sure are we now that bitcoin is going to skyrocket like 1200usd+? i wanna party. maybe asking for loan and pay after when price increase no, I am not sure it will go to $1,200 such as halving the first. do not expect too much. but $700-800 it could be a party I think that we wont see any $1200 for a while. But $700-800 in the short period is possible. That is still close to 100%+ to what the price was not so long ago. I estimate that the price will decline again after the halving making it not profitable for the miners with older hardware and we will see a decline in overall hashrate. No one knows of course, but it's interesting to guestimate whatever will come.

I don't like the plugin / addon ! Then I guess that you will have to wait for the full node clients to be released at some later point. Some exchanges will be setting these up on the 14th of June, so it can't be too far off i would think.

WAVES Wallet for windows 7 not released yet?
No not yet, and it will be a plugin / addon for the Chrome browser once it is released.

Man you post only 322 is that a typo? Name: OBAViJEST Posts: 932 Activity: 322 Position: Sr. Member I thought everyone was using their # of posts, since they all say posts: If posts = activity, then: Eggs Username: obavijest Rank: Sr. Member Posts: 322 You are correct obavijest, it is the post count that is important, so 932 for you.

Does anybody have answer to this question: What is stopping an exchange like yobit to start trading real waves as soon as ico withdraws are processed? They won't have node code but they can manually do withdraws/deposits. Or am I wrong?
If they can't set up a full node they would have to keep score of everyone's tokens somehow. The only way I see it is that users would have to withdraw to the same address at yobit and then yobit somehow could know which funds belong to each user. Still, it would be messy and a big risk for errors and people losing funds. Better to wait for a few days and do proper trading at an established exchange.
