781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: September 19, 2014, 08:37:15 AM
Just HODL and accumulate at the price you think is right.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

Will 2014 be the first year when the price declines? We will see!

-300$ at the moment but still more than 3months to go before the end of the year

400$ seems cheap compared to the average price for the 10months
782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Official Bitcoin Price Prediction for Dec 31, 2014 on: September 19, 2014, 08:36:00 AM
Ha, interesting to see how the sentiment has changes in the meantime! In Januare people were still hoping for $10k or thought that $1k was a given! I guess most people back then found about $3000 to be realistic. Now we're fighting with holding the $500 threshold...

a lot can happen in 3 months, let's see if bitcoin appreciates during Q4 2014

yeah Q4 was pretty big time for bitcoin last year. it'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. the situation in argentina looks to be worsening, possible news on the winklevi twins coming out with an ETF, plus it'll be the holiday season and people spending bitcoins might decrease the price. i wouldn't be surprised to see newegg offer more discounts with bitcoin, as well as overstock and dell.

I think we're now entering the phase where people have returned from their holidays. And traditionally all the regular stock markets start to move as well as soon as the months ending in -ber come around the corner. That being said, I think we may be in for a nice surprise!

Still remember a year not so far away when we had a surprise in October and November and the price went UPPP
783  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 19, 2014, 08:33:20 AM
I think it should be put in the closed to new participants section but with a note in red stating Staff can still join. I wonder if any new ones will? The high rates must be tempting.

PD doesn't accept legendary according to the first post but am sure Stunna would accept one if he asked; "We actually ended paying per post count two days ago" from Stunna : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=786662.msg8875444#msg8875444 but it is not written in the first post yet!?
784  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: September 19, 2014, 08:31:06 AM
Stunna should update the op and edit the thread title to [CLOSED] or something to avoid confusion. No doubt there'll be a few users who complain at the end of the months term when they haven't got any money.

"We actually ended paying per post count two days ago" from Stunna : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=786662.msg8875444#msg8875444

It is not closed as stated, maybe he could right "Full except for Staff"

Delaying payment 24 hours as quite a few people have yet to fill out the form which was a big issue last time. Please get it filled out by this time tomorrow if you haven't already.

26 hours have passed since this message.  Hooray!

Payments take up to 48 hours.

I guess it is 24 hours plus the normal 48 hours deadline

It has always been more than planned, no worries

Here's an example of how it will work

When will the one billionth bet be and how can I know?

Can't be too sure about that, but by judging by our current number of bets per day, it should be around 2:00pm GMT Monday (23 hours 30 minutes from when this topic was posted). This isn't assured, so it's best if you watch & wait yourself as it comes in closer!

You can see how many bets have been made and how far off we are by looking at the ticker on www.primedice.com in the header (Or on the front page if you're not logged into an account)

Don't have enough money to bet 0.1+ BTC?

That's all good! We'll give you free money anyway. Simply post your Primedice username ON THE OTHER THREAD and we'll credit you a free 0.001 BTC! If I recognise your name for good reasons I may even give you a bit (or a lot) more!

Stay tuned for giveaway #2 which will be posted the moment this one is concluded.

Good luck everyone who participates!

Missed it  Embarrassed

Too bad nobody got a 10BTC bonus, some tried Tongue
786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 19, 2014, 08:23:14 AM
What does double bottom mean?

It is a pattern in price graphs, that supposedly indicate a trend reversal.
Check more info here.

In short, we are doubly fucked, which is promising.

No, it could go either way, we have been there before, it is very hard to predict even if it seems it is going to go in a direction
787  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Bitcointalk Status is Now Legendary on: September 19, 2014, 08:21:38 AM
Legendary members should be super-rich already. I don't think that they have any need to participate in sig campaigns...

really is the answer, and do not necessarily think what is the payment for his sig  Smiley

Most have a good amount of Bitcoins or sold their bitcoins for a nice profit but definitely a lot of the old members of the forum don't have that many bitcoins because they sold it too soon or spent it and even if you have 50Bitcoins it can be nice to earn some more Wink

I just started so in two or more year i will be LEGENDARY

Yeah but maybe the rules would have tightened since then Wink
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who wishes they had bought bitcoin when it was $540 or so? on: September 18, 2014, 10:03:11 PM
$540 was high price to buy it yes.

Or a low price and now it is a very low price Wink
789  Other / Off-topic / Re: Red Meat : you are eating blood on: September 18, 2014, 10:02:04 PM
Nothing like a medium rare fillet steak with the blood as the sauce.

With nice vegetables and bearnaise sauce
790  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Bitcointalk Status is Now Legendary on: September 18, 2014, 10:00:28 PM
I want be Legendary too...
I must post every day haha

Just posts 10 x's a day for 365 days and there you go lol  Grin

That is not enough Smiley That would not even bring a newbee to hero level.
You will need about 2 years of posting.

Edit: Bowing deep for the highness Cheesy

2 years of posting for what?
To become highness?
LOL I don't consider this forum ranks so important in my life and don't think so much about this.
Many other things are more serious and important Smiley

No, to make money.  Nice to make ~$10k/yr. extra just because of some unimportant forum rank...

Why would he make 10k$/year because he is legendary??

Signature campaigns, escrow possibilities, easier to transact in the marketplace section, greater exposure to exclusive opportunities (e.g. receiving free mining devices for testing, etc.), giveaways, opportunity to sell the account for multiple BTCs, etc.

Hero and Legendary accounts are pretty valuable...

If you sell the account let's say for 4BTC you will not make 10k$/year which would be 25BTC/year!
Giveways !?? That will not get you even close to 500$/year
Escrow : yes you could make a lot if you succeed to get clients and exposure
Signature : Doubt you can get more than 0.6/month of revenue at the moment but who knows maybe you will be able to get more in the future

Congrats on the statut though and hope you will benefit from it Smiley
791  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS+] Paid Per Post Using A Collective Referral Link on: September 18, 2014, 09:57:24 PM
Campaign Status: OPEN Total ref profit (and only 1 person advertising the signature) is 0.006BTC!
I will even add the signature if my current one doesn't pay in 48 hours (seems they aren't paying). Join in!

Are you advertising the link as well or is it just one member total?
792  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 18, 2014, 09:56:16 PM
Honestly it is impossible to join a sig campaign. I thought it was only hard because I was a member but I have now become a full member and it is equally as difficult. If anyone knows of any that pay about .05 a month HMU. Huh Huh Huh Angry

Check this post and the services section of the forum everyday and you will probably catch a place in a campaign within a few weeks; good luck!
793  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: September 18, 2014, 09:54:14 PM
Socialism or Capitalism are irrelevant when Bitcoin takes the spotlight. Bitcoinism is the future.

Not too sure there.

Humans are primed at basic level to lead or be lead. There is no equilibrium. Power will just shift to those with the most bitcoin. And those people; like those that do now, will influence matters through bitcoin as a replacement.

Life sucks lol

As I said - we need to evolve from life force suckers to propping each other up!

Smiley

Think it is possible to have an organisation of society where the one in charge or with the power don't abuse it if you don't give the politicians too much power which will be the case if you don't ask the State to take of things that it shouldn't take care of and if you have low taxes
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: September 18, 2014, 09:52:43 PM
Good ol' elite thread, resurrected again.Bullish!

Finally! Now we can go up again! Wink

Right!?  I am thankful for this big drop.  It is looking very similar to how things were last September.   Grin

Remember, remember, no selling in September! (or any other month that rhymes  Wink)

Now is the time to eat canned tuna and hold on the Bitcoins.

Eat canned tune, hold on the Bitcoins and buy a little bit maybe Wink
795  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: September 18, 2014, 09:52:09 PM
I would invent a time-machine and go back to the time bitcoin's price was still low ~1$, buy as much as i can get. Then sit back and enjoy the sunset as bitcoin's price skyrocketed in December 2013 and sell em all. Maybe keep a few.

Do you have idea how to invent it? Even with 1 billion budget you can't still do it. Time machine is not possible.

Of course you can get a time machine for 1,000,000$ Grin Grin

796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 09:49:48 PM
People are buying the fuck back in.

Then selling again

Day's Range:
$407.94 - $452.99 on Bistatmp; am surprised nobody said "cheap coins" yet Wink
797  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 16, 2014, 07:25:31 PM
Imagine the referrer of dooglus. Retirement = now

If you get any whale you can make a nice amount of BTC; it is very unlikely to find one with a few posts every day
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever reach $1000 dollars again? on: September 16, 2014, 01:23:57 PM
Quote
http://You have to convince existing investors who have started deserting bitcoin...
We dont need em, at some point the price has to surge to make room for the overall growth in the network.  The baton is passed over to new blood.

New investors required. Surging price. Old investors cashing out...
Reminds me of something.  Tongue

The price has been holding up at 400$ + for most of the year which is an amazing price and some kind of equilibrium that takes into account the potential and the reality of adoption

We probably need a bit more to jump to higher prices but it will come soon  Wink
799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you sometimes wish internet was never invented? Wouldn't your life be better? on: September 16, 2014, 01:22:07 PM
No, internet is amazing, the only problem is being poor and not rich as fuck.

A lot of people have internet addiction and it reduces their real interaction with people and they become very unskilled to face to face interraction which can be a huge problem in their lives

While you become rich you have to keep an eye on all the other things needed to be happy or you will not be that much more happy than when you were poor
800  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: September 16, 2014, 01:18:44 PM
A car, a house, 100 BTC, and invest my remaining cash.

Seems like a good way to use the 1m$; would buy a bit more than 100BTC maybe 300
