Also sorry buddy but if the coin price crashes next year is not a justifiable excuse for a company to stomach that cost. That's your risk to take buddy. So the decision is yours...
So basically "All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment" is a misleading statement and not entirely true.

Refund at dollars That's is knc said at site under the miner
They'll take your 12BTC today and when you ask for a refund in April, they'll sell one BTC when it's $10,000/BTC to refund you and make $110,000 profit Ordering today basically means you are selling them your bitcoin for $850-$900. How are you not aware that KNC do not take any BTC from Bitpay?

Eric Hansen (Phoenix1969) has agreed to transfer ownership of a Jupiter in exchange for 12BTC.
This agreement is based on the following provisions: Hashing speed of the miner is at least 550GH/s. Shipping and insurance is covered by the seller. Miner to be shipped immediatelly after BTC payment has cleared. Payment must be made to 1HPgsQTVCHuZSRi2Ed29CZZK7VutgkTPvz

I have 0.00995301 BTC So I only need 0.00004699BTC more, which equals 1272.87 PPS shares. Do you know how long that would take with 7970 (600MH/s)?

Hello Jupiter Owners. (also other miners may pitch in as well)
Anyone got a Temperature reader/gun.
Any chance you could measure the Temperature of the PCI cables, seen another post for a Bitfury thingy where a PCI cable burnt out.
I have Just Measured mine, running at 28c, 30c , 35c , 40c. Measured where it connects to the Jupiter PCI-e extension cable.
Ambient Temp for the Room is 26c.
Cheers
C_C
V850 markings on the cable says 80C, which I assume is the max temperature. I've measured mine before when I had 2 modules connected at the same cable and it peaked at 46. Since then I made it so each cable only feeds 1 module and my max temp on the V850 now is 40 and on the EVGA G2 1300W is 36 (EVGA cables have braiding/sleeving). I think yours are fine

I'm building a shelf for 5 miners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DJtdOJwyosThat is not the final design and I am open to suggestions. It will have castors on the bottom, so it can be moved easily if required. Made from MDF. One miner per shelf + one for all the PSUs (4) Dimensions: The bases are 60cm x 60cm for stability Each shelf is 20cm high (might increase to 25cm, but then it gets too high = unstable) I want to make it as closed as possible, without impacting the airflow. My initial idea was to make it fully contained with push and pull fans on each level, but then I realized I will need to spend over £100 on fans, so that idea is out the window. What do you think?

Where is that screen capture from I've only ever seen it say November (and it still does on my screen) That's Cyper's handiwork, it doesn't say that on site... To be fair, my screen says "Jupiter November shipping - SOLD OUT" Mine too. I was just pointing out that November shipping will probably not happen for some people. I hope I am wrong though

Correct I can only dream of the moment when ASIC manufacturers would advertise a November shipping and actually start shipping first half of the month. These will be glorious times

There has been no delay from what I've seen I've only ever known Marcus state production commences mid November and he's the guy in charge of production. Fact is PCBs were finalised and being produced at the time you were here which is mid Nov.
By delay I mean this: turning into this: fingers x'd you get your kit this week. If that happens and all miners get shipped in November I promise you to apologize for being so negative about the "November shipping" But I am being realistic and don't expect my miners to be shipped before December and that is why I am not as excited as you expect

Another reason why people should just move to a better pool and let this one die gracefully. Timely customer support is a must have and by the looks of it it is almost non-existent here.
You've made your point more times than need be. Find some other thread to troll, preferably one I don't monitor. Are you the sheriff around here? I made a pretty valid argument

tl;dr: Plug your power supply cables directly into KnC modules to increase system efficiency. Folks, I was poking around the inside of a Saturn->Jupiter miner, measuring the 12V supply on the modules themselves. With a supply voltage of 11.93V at the PSU, I was seeing 11.5V at the modules! Examining things further, I noticed that the nice quality blue PCIe extension cables KnC supplied are only 20AWG (0.52mm^2). This plus the resistance at the couplings is wasting a significant amount of power: Module Power ~150W @ 11.5V = 13.04A (20AWG has rated ampacity of 11A in free air, btw) Vcable=0.43V Power loss in cable = 13.04A * 0.43V = ~5.6W Plugging the PSU cables directly into the modules I measured around 11.85V. So: 150W / 11.85V = 12.66A Vcable = 0.08V Power loss in cable = 12.66A * 0.08V = ~1.0W. So we have a percentage loss of: 100 * 5.6W / (150W + 5.6W) = 3.6% versus 100 * 1.0W / (150W + 1.0W) = 0.6% When you consider how much a 3% increase in efficiency costs at the PSU level, the recommended course of action is obvious E If the blue cables are 20AWG do you have an explanation why PSU cables which are 18AWG get warmer, than the blue ones? How did you establish they are 20AWG? Mine has no writing on them.

I'm being realistic, which is "having or showing a sensible and practical idea of what can be achieved or expected."
were you terrible at sports as a child?? I imagine you getting picked last in gym class everyday for some reason..... No idea how you made a connection between my posts here and my sport achievements as a child just playing armchair quack - chin up!! you are on the winning team with KnC! cash a BTC and go buy a nice watch or something Yes, I am happy being on the KNC team I just don't understand how Bitcoinorama expects people to be optimistic/happy/excited about a delay

you were referring to the tuning suite, right?
No, sorry... All 1-500 customers will be receiving a free gen 2, 5TH machine Cyper: Pessimist Tigggger: Optimist Getting a free gen2 machine from KNC is not even optimistic. It is unrealistic

Heads-up for tomo BTW - incoming...
November delivery news??? Nope... I can't say I am surprised Don't get excited folks - November shipping is December shipping for a lot of us Cyper, I have honestly never met anyone as pessimistic as you... Should I be all excited and positive about the delay And btw pessimistic according to the dictionary means "tending to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen" which would be the equivalent of KNC goind under and us getting peanuts. I'm being realistic, which is "having or showing a sensible and practical idea of what can be achieved or expected."

OK everyone: from now on if you have a problem with your VRM please grab your heatsinks with both hands and start twisting, then do a voodoo dance while naked. That should do the trick
