801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are zero transaction costs possible? on: July 14, 2018, 08:51:38 AM
There are some other altcoins that offers zero or near-zero transaction fees. As for BTC, it's really needed to reward the miners.

both statements are kind of wrong.
first these altcoins aren't really used so you can't really talk about their fees. miners have no other choice but accept whatever people are paying them or not in fees. so having zero or near zero fees doesn't count for them.
second the fee we are paying miners is NOT needed to reward miners they are already receiving $78000 per block they find. they don't need the fees now.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whitepaper? Do you really believe 100% in any projects whitepaper?. on: July 13, 2018, 08:43:17 AM
witepaper of different projects to me is more like reading the abstract idea of what the developer had in mind. it doesn't necessarily mean they have achieved what they are introducing in their whitepaper. it just means they tried or at lest pretended to try to achieve it.

sometimes you end up seeing a cool project like Byteball and sometimes you end up seeing a lot of shitty ICOs with well written papers!
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Will August 10th Mark The Revival of High Bitcoin Price? on: July 13, 2018, 08:26:52 AM
I think August is always a month when bitcoin has been making a turned in price directions for some years now.

there is nothing significant about any specific month of the year when it comes to bitcoin and its rise. people always keep saying the same thing every month, that bitcoin rises in that month and falls in this month and in the end bitcoin does its own thing

as for the ETF i think we can see a rally in case ETF is approved (unlikely!) but i wouldn't expect a big thing like an ATH from it.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of hacks, whats the solution? on: July 13, 2018, 08:18:23 AM
when everyone starts a new exchange without spending time and money to increase its security first this is what we are left with. a terrible market with lots of shitty altcoin exchanges that get hacked left and right.
otherwise the big exchanges are rarely subjected to this kind of hacks. for example Cinbase. i don't know any cases of any major hacks or anything like it.

the solution is for them to increase their security, use cold storage,...

of course using decentralized exchanges is always favorable for users but it is not as easy unfortunately and they don't offer the same thing.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone Explain Me, What's going on! on: July 13, 2018, 08:08:06 AM
there are only two possibilities here:
1. you are not visiting MyEtherWallet website but instead a fake version of it and you keep making the same mistake and keep feeding the person owning that website when he creates a fake wallet that he controls.
2. you have a malware on your computer that is monitoring what you are doing on your PC and when you visit MEW and create a new private key it just copies it and broadcast it to the hacker which then takes your money.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan internal report: Bitcoin is here to stay on: July 13, 2018, 08:01:43 AM
i think this is mostly because they are looking to get into the scene themselves.  i remember reading that JPMorgan is actually looking into the blockchain technology and are going to implement it in their services to increase their security,...
this can be like the groundwork of that final goal. first they start showing a good face towards bitcoin but in reality they are interested in its technology to rip it off.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Vs Centralized Exchanges on: July 13, 2018, 07:54:53 AM
everyone would prefer decentralized exchanges but only if they were good enough to satisfy their trading needs. one of the biggest problems that i see with decentralized exchanges is that they are not easy to use and not as user friendly as they should be. this means people still go to centralized exchanges instead.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to altcoin today (July 10, 2018) on: July 10, 2018, 08:56:56 AM
it is the same downtrend that started at the beginning of the year. you can call it the dumping season and it is the couple to the pumping season that we had last year. and since it has not yet ended the prices are continuing to fall lower and lower until the altcoins that were pumped reach their bottom prices.
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovery? on: July 10, 2018, 08:42:38 AM
it is too soon to talk about recoveries and when they are going to happen and how high it will go. for the time being all we know is that we have reached the bottom and price could not go lower than $6k because of the strong buy support and the incentive to buy there. and we also know that this stable phase can go on for a long time so we may see 2 months of $6k-$7k range.
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin Price is increasing from day to day in INDIA on: July 10, 2018, 08:38:57 AM
no it is because the demand for bitcoin is increasing  day by day in India despite this drama with their banks and at the same time the supply of bitcoin (which is coming from other Indians selling their coins on the markets) is decreasing so the price goes up.
people don't want to sell their bitcoins in India so they ask for a much higher price and the others pay that and even higher prices to be able to have bitcoin.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Prediction: By 2025, the U.S. will ban all use of non-regulated cryptocurrenc on: July 10, 2018, 08:31:42 AM
by 2025 nobody would care anymore what their government says about decentralized cryptocurrencies. they can regulate them or not at all and still that wouldn't make any difference. we made bitcoin so that we no longer need the approval of the governments to use money. and hopefully by 2025 everyone knows this!
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much TPS do we need? (Transaction Per Second) on: July 09, 2018, 09:11:19 AM
TPS on its own is overrated.
for example you can fork bitcoin right now and change a bunch of simple attributes to have 10 million TPS but as long as your chain is not used you only 0.001 TPS because that is the reality. and that is important.
the real question is whether your coin is used that much and is it surviving under that load and not be broken. like ETH which promised high TPS but broke under 1/10 of that load.
and also the real question is whether it is still decentralized with a high TPS or did you centralize it?
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triple bottom: yes or no on: July 09, 2018, 08:57:46 AM
What I see now is just some fake breakout and until we actually get to see how the pattern ends up forming out before we can even know which decision we should be making or not.

but there hasn't yet been any "breakout" to be fake or real!

we just had a tiny rise after a long time of  going down (months of dropping and bear market). a "breakout" is generally when price goes above a major resistance and rises properly not just a 4-5% rise. and usually by that time it is too late to do anything about it.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think we should use BTC as a medium instead of capital gain ? on: July 09, 2018, 08:48:07 AM
this is something that can not be avoided. you can always tell people to start using bitcoin as a currency because it is a currency but because it is new, scarce and is being adopted slowly but constantly, its price will continue to rise so people will also see it as an investment and would want to make profit from it also.

but that doesn't change much about it though. bitcoin is still a currency and is being used as one. in fact the only reason why it is rising in the long run (unlike altcoins which drop in the long run) is the fact that it is adopted as a currency.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market tactics on: July 07, 2018, 09:39:16 AM
when there is a big altcoin dump going on like these days the only thing you should do is to dump yourself while you have got the time and get out. standing around while others are dumping (aka holding shitcoins) will only result in a lot of losses.

for example if you look at your bags (or what you call portfolio) you can clearly see that you have lost at least 75% and at most 95% of your investment during these dumps.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Bitcoin on: July 07, 2018, 09:29:58 AM
it doesn't matter how many times you compare ETH with bitcoin, in the end it is nothing like bitcoin! there is literary no similarity with them and with their future.
bitcoin with its limited supply will continue to be adopted and rise more and more because it is functioning as a currency and it is actually being used.
but ethereum with its unlimited supply will continue to decline since there is no adoption or usage for it apart from the current ongoing ICO hype which will die sooner or later.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more valuable when the altcoin bubble bursts on: July 07, 2018, 09:15:31 AM
this makes sense considering all the altcoins (nearly 2000 of them) have been in huge bubbles. most of them are obviously small ones with big bubbles but low volumes so they shouldn't affect anything but the big ones like Ethereum for example have been the worst among altcoins. going from $1500+ down to $400 and still getting dumped is a LOT of money going out.
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Way to $1,000,000 on: July 07, 2018, 08:58:11 AM
I don't like anymore This types of video/News.

yeah, specially something out of "CoinTelegraph". there isn't much analysis to it, just hyping things up. and in most cases they have some money at stake that they make these types of articles, either bought something or sold and want lower prices. in some cases (like altcoins) they even get paid to advertise.

well i don't really think so 1m usd is quite high

high compared to what?
about 1-1.5 year ago people said $10k is too high, it won't happen. look where we are now!
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you suppose will happen when BTC loses it's dominance? on: July 07, 2018, 08:47:27 AM
Every week BTC seems to lose it's market dominance. Currently it sits at 34.4 percent but what happens when it becomes 5 percent or less? Thoughts?
It should be noted that bitcoin has not lost its dominance to one or two coins but rather to hundreds of coins.Bitcoin and altcoins are inter dependant and altcoins get valued in bitcoin and survival of more altcoins make governments to think impossible to destroy bitcoin as any other altcoin would easily replace that empty space.

first of all there aren't "hundreds" of altcoins, there are "thousands" to more more clear there are nearly 2000 altcoins that exist out there.
secondly bitcoin has not lost any kind of dominance. the problem is people created some number and called it market cap which never existed before then they started comparing coins with it. some coins had billions of coins as supply so their market cap grew bigger then they started saying it is showing "dominance" where it really isn't.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian exchanges have announced that no crypto-fiat exchanges will be allowed . on: July 07, 2018, 08:44:26 AM
Another country banning cryptocurrencies without knowing anything about it. Well, good thing that India isn't significant player on crypto market, so we won't see any impact like it was with China.

We can't blame these countries who prohibits the use of crypto currency investments because they might just protecting their citizens from money laundering, terrorist funding and scam investments due to crypto but still they are just overdoing it because they only see the negative side of crypto not the positive aspects of it in which there also the regulation that they can protect them from these bad people who use crypto for their illegal agenda.

but they have NOT prohibited investment in cryptocurrencies! that part is just what the FUDsters on the internet are spreading on the forums and social media.
bitcoin is still being used and people are still buying it in India.
