Nice payout in the wallet! Hashrate heading up, at close to 700T as I'm writing this. Onwards junior birdmen, uh, blockmen (and women)!

What do you see when you login to your router and check connections? You should be able to find it there.
|
|
|
Good, constant internet connection? Yes. Good pc? Not really, you communicate to the miner via a web browser interface so I set mine up using a tablet.

Someone just got a solo block! Lucky ducks!
What would be a solo block and how does it work? They mine on ... solo. So when they get a block they get 99% of the block! Which is like $52,000 give or take... Bad form discussing other pools here. Especially that one.

I believe Oscar Wilde said it best, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness." Scam artists can suck it!

All the details are on the pools homepage help/payouts tab, and indeed the status column on the payout page is blank, but briefly: From help/payouts page: When are payments sent out? The block 'Status' must first reach '+101 Confirms' on the Blocks page, and then is flagged as 'Matured', before the reward is distributed. The block reward transaction is created manually some time before the block matures, and sent out automatically a minute after the block matures. The payout may use a zero fee transaction, so we will confirm it with the next block we find after the transaction is sent out. You may not see the transaction in your wallet before the first confirm. -So as long as you see the amounts in the rewards and payouts page, you're good and it'll get there! Mine on!

If you can deal with the extra noise and extra electricity cost, I would go with the T9.
The sick R4 is in a DC with my S9 so noise isn't an issue in this case. Just another expensive shipping payment and then mining delay, what fun!! Well after much delay my sick droid R4B4 is back at the Empire for scrapping. After some polite back and forth regarding the issues with the R4 I was promised "just this one time" an S9, instead of a T9, for swap once returned on my dime. It has just arrived today. Wow, that's actually then quite in a good way handled situation after all? It took a bit more back and forth, and referencing the original emails with the offer of an S9 this one time, but it is now official: I will be getting a new S9 in swap for my 1/2 running R4B4. Of course there's a catch... No stock available until, get this, October!! Update to come in September sometime. Until then, $$ and hashrate wasting away. Things are looking up! Got an email this morning from Sarah at bitmain letting me know my S9-11THs is ready to ship! I was hoping it might happen sooner than planned, and it did. Now if only there's some open capacity at the Hoth mines I'll be even happier! And to keep this on-topic, my R4B2 is still chugging away just great. My favorite miner I've had by far, not that I've had so many tho...

Make a mace, to bludgeon those who keep asking what else you can do with these besides their specific application...

Anyone else get the e-mail from Bitmain that their customer file got hacked? Recommending you reset your password, yada, yada... I haven't done business with them in over two years. Methinks their IT "maintenance" is somewhat lacking. EDIT: Let's make a "good" day a GRRREAT day...lotsa blocksa... Ha, got one even weirder... got an email last week saying my order for an S7 control board is shipped. Yeah, like a year and a half ago...! Even has the original date, and I long ago got the part and have subsequently sold said 7 on. Yeah, they need to open a newsstand since they've got issues!

Konichiwa SulliJM1-san, Welcome to the crazy world of bitcoin! To address your points in order: 1) 2 S7s will mine 9+ TH/s which is a fine start. 2) USB miners are really only good for playing the lottery, that is running on a solo pool and hoping to hit a block. 3) I'm partial to Kano pool for my miners. Have been from day one and love it. 4) Buy direct from bitmain, or canaan, only. Not worth the markup and loss of warranty when buying through reseller.
Good luck!

Indeed, Kano is sensei to us kohai. One of many reasons why we're here!

Yup, that's why I got into mining: dumpster diving... Yeah, I'll just recommend a couple 10 dollar fans and done.

Sure, musician myself, but which solution is WAY cheaper...??

No, you just have to wait until the next batch is announced and then jump on it. Consensus is watching BM's Twitter account will let you know soonest possible. Emailing them asking when the next batch is for sale is fruitless...
