821  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Accepted Store Spotted 🔥 on: January 24, 2024, 09:37:30 PM

822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: January 24, 2024, 07:22:17 PM
Individual gamblers employ various betting tactics based on their needs and preferences. For some players, the amount of money they need to win to finish their goals or solve their problems affects their bets. Others may be more open-minded and content with any win. Choosing a plan will depend on your income, your gaming goals, and your risk tolerance. Being responsible means knowing your reasons for playing and setting limits. Whatever your reason for games, this is always true.

Being responsible plays a huge role in gambling and it is really necessary to be like that so we don't become like others whose lives have been ruined because of gambling. Being responsible is an action and behavior, not just a word. Sometimes, even if we say that we are satisfied with the money we get, we really come to the point where you want to increase the money you hold because you believe that it is possible to grow if you win. That is where our greed comes in because it is no longer followed what we say contented.

823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 24, 2024, 11:06:16 AM
Well alibis can be true if they provide verifiable evidence or witnesses supporting the individual's claim. I haven't heard anything weird alibis about gamblers that they can continue to gambling. Most common I heard from gambler is they often tell themselves they'll get lucky soon, try to recover losses, or think they have a winning strategy. This is one of my alibis too for me to continue gambling. And later on regret on what I did.

you can't say that either, because nowadays it's easy to cheat the evidence or papers that can be shown as proof, even the people who make excuses and use death, they still have fake death certificates and supporting documents, that's how gambling affects a person's mentality especially when addicted to gambling. The alibi that people usually make is about having any disease related to them and to their family. If you can only see or experience hearing that kind of alibi, it is really believable especially with the documents in hand.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you preffer your dealer talkative or not? on: January 24, 2024, 10:50:00 AM

What do you think about this all? Do you like your dealer talkative or not?
And if you prefer the dealer being talkative, would you mind if they made up some story just to keep talking? Or would you prefer even that over silence?

Honestly, even if I'm a talkative type of person, I'd always prefer the silent dealer because I just want to protect my peace and if my dealer talks a lot, It may destruct my concentration because I know myself, maybe instead of focusing in gambling, I might just waste my time chitchatting with them. Based on the replies I read in this thread, you can see that there are really different types of people, the majority of those who answered said that they prefer the talkative dealer because it helps them to relieve the nervousness of a gamblers but if the answer is different of all, we only have one goal in gambling, that is to win and have fun
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 23, 2024, 07:49:51 PM
A few days ago, my house was being cleaned. Three people are cleaning the front and back yards of the house. One of them was playing slots and I saw him. Actually, I wanted to suggest he try sports betting because I often see the guy watching football matches and he does have knowledge about many teams. So I was wondering if I could introduce him to sports betting so he could use his ability to predict every game he knows about.

Besides that, I just feel that if he deposited $10 = IDR 150,000 into a gambling site just to play slots, he would probably suffer a complete loss. But if he can place bets on sports betting, there is a possibility of him winning some money on small bets. Wouldn't that be an advantage for him?

If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.

If i were you, I will not suggest playing sport betting to him because if that person is really a gambler, he surely knows about that thing. maybe he has his passion and it just happened that he prefer the slot game. it's just strange because you saw him playing a slot game even though he should be working, maybe what you should do is tell him about his work attitude and try to finish his work first before gambling so that his time and attention are not divided between thing he does.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 23, 2024, 02:13:20 PM
Paying rent in Bitcoin is advantageous for the landlord. If I were a landlord and I had such an opportunity, I would accept payment in Bitcoin. Even if this is not the case, the fiat money received can be instantly converted into Bitcoin and the investment can be sustained. I haven't heard of anyone paying rent in Bitcoin, but if he receives his salary in Bitcoin and pays according to the exchange rate of that day, I don't see anything wrong with that. Coins should be evaluated according to the exchange rate at the time they are spent, not according to its value years later.

I haven't heard bitcoin as a mode of payment for rentals but I know that there are some Hotels in different areas in a certain countries that offers Crypto payment for their daily stay.
It is difficult to choose in this situation because it depends on the owner's preference, but if I were the landlord, I would prefer the mode of payment through fiat especially since the price of bitcoin is not stable, and in business matters, it will be necessary to manage well our capital and earnings, we also need money for monthly dues and bills that's why I will choose actual money than Bitcoin payment.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Roller Coaster feeling When You Gambling on: January 23, 2024, 12:58:50 PM
Indeed, gambling can gives us a roller coaster feeling in a span of so little time, so here's my answers:

An hour before going to a casino?
-Just a normal feeling, relax and calm. Less worries and financially prepared because I already allocate my budget for a session.

After logging in and pulling out the games you are about to play?
- A little overthink and questioning myself if I am going to win or not, but still relax and focused after asking myself.

While playing?
- Just like yours, OP. I've experienced adrenaline rush and kinda nervous and I felt the excitement.

After you experience successive losses?
- Kinda having regrets and envy to other people who win the prize.

After you won successively?
- Same to others, Beyond happy and satisfied about my winnings.

After you log out whether you win or lose?
- I always maintain to be calm during these times, no matter what I experienced during gambling session, I always remember what lessons I can learn or what strategy I need to work out.

That's all.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it bother you when dealers change during play? on: January 23, 2024, 12:33:59 PM
Switching dealers a lot can mess with the game vibe especially if you're used to how a certain dealer does things. Some people think there's luck or superstition with a particular dealer so that's why they bail when there's a switch. I think it will take more just than a change of dealer for me to be bothered

yaaah! exactly, I know many people who want that dealer to handle their game because they believe that it will be lucky for them if that specific person will assist them. It also gets to the point that when they win big, the dealer is also given a big tip, a token of appreciation from gamblers. There are also times that your mood and concentration in playing will be really affected when you see the dealer switch with other co dealers and I think that they are unable to do that until the gambling session is over.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 23, 2024, 11:56:02 AM
We should not blame anyone for the loss that occurs during bets since it's something decided by an individual, not by another one who forces them to keep gambling and lose money that is actually needed for something else. If someone is forcing you to bet even against your will then its a crime and you won't actually blame them because you were compelled to obey the person for some reason.

If someone is forcing you to bet, then it's really valid to blame them but it's really up to you if you will follow them, right? but if we are talking about the person who introduced you to gambling, you don't have to blame them if you have any bad experience because they didn't force you to do that thing. Becoming addicted to gambling is your own decision so you only have yourself to blame for it.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 23, 2024, 09:48:40 AM
First of all I would like to say start with small amount when you are doing your first attempt on gambling. And choose the games where you are skilled it can be casino games or the sports betting. And then make start with small wager. Set a leave it for your first winning or loss like the limit will break the gambling for that day. And do not let the greed that awakens inside your mind grow

Yup, It's very advisable to spend at least minimum amount only on your first try game because there's a huge possibility that you will get the winning amount, not all the time but still always spend small amount and try to allocate that amount for the rest of your gambling session. You just have to limit yourself and your finances so that you will never experience any losses and huge debt in the future.
831  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 23, 2024, 09:26:55 AM
It's all about the promotions at the end of the day op. There are a shit-ton of crypto gambling sites these days which is why it's a saturated environment, but the ones that stand out usually offer tempting promotions along with great reputations.

This is how they cleverly market both their casino games and sportsbooks based on what I observed.

Very well said, It's really all about the promotion, usually those casino gambling sites that stands out in the market are those site that are having different type of social media promotion by hiring different type of famous celebrities and influencers. Based on what I've seen, other people are able to share or know something faster,  especially if the promoter is popular with an attractive promotional video, people are more curious especially when the promoters show their gambling earnings, just like adding more bank accounts flash from their screens and make it look like the money is all from winnings.
832  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Coins.ph's USDC HODL and Earn Program on: January 23, 2024, 09:10:19 AM
Meron akong nakita from Coins.ph. Nag labas sila ng promo na you HODL at least 20 USDC sa coins.ph sa wallet mo and then mag eearn ka na after a week. Weeekly rewards basis. 5% per annum yung possible na makuha.

https://coins.ph/blog/usdc-hold-and-earn-program/

833  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Accepted Store Spotted 🔥 on: January 22, 2024, 03:18:54 PM
Sana ginawa mong Self Moderated kabayan para mas ma strain mo ang mga dapat lang na post so hindi ma flood or ma spam ang thread mo dito.

Anyway just a confirmation about what you've said here , Tama ka last October eh galing din ako ng Bora , and excited akong makita or masubukang gamitin ang bitcoin ko or kahit aling crypto na meron ako(knowing na may altcoins din silang tatangapin) but to my surprise eh walang kahit isa akong nakita, or siguro hindi lang natin totally nasuyod ang buong isla pero nagtanong na din ako sa mga locals dun yong iba nga halos hindi alam ang existence ng Bitcoin or crypto sa mga establishments nila dun.

834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 22, 2024, 01:17:53 PM
Yesterday was trying to place bet and during the process something in me keeps telling me to increase your wager do you know if you would hit something you never won before.. I was like is this how other people are being controlled by gambling or is it how it works? I said, no wonder some people gamble and finishes their allocation for the week or month. This can even lead someone to also go borrow if this feeling is not killed and stop, you can also see that this attributes in gambling addiction.

However, have you had this feeling while gambling before be it offline casino and online casinos?

Yeah, that's happened to me a few times, the kind where someone whispers to you to increase your bet, or maybe you should continue playing, even though you know on your own that it's not right and if you follow the whispers you hear, you can be in trouble. Maybe this is one of the reasons why many people are addicted to gambling, you will really lose your mind especially if you don't know how to control yourself. It's scary if you lose to the temptations that come to you.
835  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 22, 2024, 11:55:27 AM
It’s not just schools that are responsible to teach us  financial education but it should also start at home. By saving small amount at a young age, we are already train on how to manage our finances so that we can be more responsible in managing our finances when we grow mature individually. Schools and home are responsible to teach us financial education, and harness our skills when we are already building our own source of income.
Well right, home should be the first school for everyone, parents should be able to set an example for their children, because children will definitely see their parents' habits and they might follow what their parents do. after that let them be independent to find something to do so that their finances do not become bad in the future.
The environment will also greatly influence behavior, including in terms of finance. because from what I see now many people fail because they are in a bad environment, not only in terms of finance, but in any case.
Not not allowing them to be in any environment, but parents should be able to give advice on which environment is good for them.

I agree, this kind of responsibility should be learned from home at first, it is necessary inside of our home to show proper handling of finances even when they are young, not to mature immediately when it comes to money, but so that when their children grow up they can adopt the things they see before from their parents or the elderly. Indeed, not everything is learned in school, sometimes it's easier to learn when you have seen any experiences as a basis. Just like me, as the eldest, I teach my siblings how to properly budget their money, I start by giving them monthly allowances and they take care of how they fit it in a month, in that way that when they were young they will learn to handle their money and expenses.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 22, 2024, 10:38:25 AM
Cashing out too early is not such a terrible thing.  Yeah sometimes it sucks because ypu could win more but it's always OK to book some sort of profit.  For the most part the problem people face is that they keep letting it ride so they never end up winning anything.  It's always better to win a dollar than to lose a hundred dollars

That's true, sometimes you just have to follow your instincts too because it may turn out to be true. For me, I can't say if I am impatient kind of gambler or not, but as long as I feel the need to cash out my winnings, I always follow it and turns out, I am right, because I lost the next match. that's why I said to myself that I should follow my instincts even if I look like an impatient gambler. Better to have a take home money than losing so much because of hoping that I can win bigger amount.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 22, 2024, 09:46:03 AM
Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.

Welcome to the gambling world, i will answer your questions based on my own experiences and I hope it helps.
When it comes to preparation, First thing that I did was, I allocate minimum budget amount for my gambling and It's up to me how I will grow the money that I have. My goal at that time was that once my money is used up, I need to stop and not release any more gambling capital, In that way, I teach myself how to be responsible in handling and spending my own money. The first thing that you should expect is gambling is not all about winnings, not all the time. When I say nit all the time, you should know that there's this thing called beginners luck and when you experience the so-called beginners luck, make sure you can manage the money you won because anytime it can be taken back from you through a series of losses.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 22, 2024, 09:19:55 AM
The internet itself is really a huge distraction despite how huge it could help a child's education. Even adults are not safe from gambling risks.
Protecting the kids from gambling risks is now essential they should not engage in gambling and win big in their first game because this is exactly the reason why a person will try to keep on gambling in hopes that he can win bigger than before.

I have a kid that I have to keep the conversation really alive and interesting just so he will come with me walking in the park and not just watching youtube and playing his phone.

You have a point, that's why it's better to have a guidance and proper conversation between parents and kids nowadays. It is important to answer their questions and curiosities if they have , so that they will not seek answers from other people which usually turns to become one of the reason why they know how to engage in this kind of activity, Usually some other kids really wants to find an answer by the help of the internet which cause them a lot to become more curious, that's why having one on one conversation will easily help them to know and to understand why they shouldn't try gambling.
839  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 22, 2024, 06:11:01 AM
The issue of pay discrimination between white-collar and blue-collar jobs raises important questions about fairness and societal values. While white-collar jobs may involve mental strain, it's crucial to acknowledge the physical demands and hard work associated with many blue-collar or skilled labor positions. Market correction for skilled labor is a valid consideration, as it reflects the intrinsic value of their contributions to society.

The argument that some jobs are mentally draining is valid, but it's equally essential to recognize the indispensable role of those in "menial" jobs. Without workers in various roles like waiters, delivery workers, cab drivers, carpenters, and construction workers, society would face significant challenges. These individuals are the backbone of many essential services, and their contributions should be duly respected and compensated.

Well whether you're in a fancy office job or getting your hands dirty in a blue-collar gig, both types of work have their challenges. The idea here is that everyone deserves fair pay and respect for what they bring to the game. Think of it as giving a shoutout to all the hustlers out there, whether they're rocking a suit or some work boots. It's about recognizing and valuing different kinds of hard work.
Sometimes everything cannot be done and is done alone and requires other people, so the work actually needs each other and complements each other. In the end, the need for other work skills is really needed where it is possible that it cannot be done but can be done by others. In the end, work engagement is not ignored; the difference is the recognition given for the work done. Even though sometimes one job can be considered less worthy than another,  that is a subjective assessment, and that is because there is no mutual respect for each other with the work they carry out. For me, all work is equally good as long as it is done wholeheartedly and is able to support family life.

All jobs should have a competent and correct salary that is given, especially if the job offered is difficult, I hope to make sure that the salary is fair enough, because sometimes other businessmen who hire workers, they take too much advantage of the employees who apply because they know that they can't refuse because they really need a job,  but maybe that's the trend when it comes to business, but at least they have consideration for their workers and I hope they see their employees effort and hard work.

840  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: January 22, 2024, 05:48:03 AM
Sa tingin ko kabayan may posibilidad na mangyari yan kung saan ay may isang popular individual na magpopromote ng Bitcoin using billboard though wala pa tayong nakikita sa ngayon pero sure yan in the future. Pero since ang billboard ay only accessible sa iisang area lang like in the heart of a city I think vlogging or social media promotion ay ang pinakadabest na way of advertising since naaabot nito ang kasulok-sulokan ng Pilipinas through mobile devices and or television ads.
