841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 28, 2023, 05:15:56 PM
It was as we expected and the Boston Celtics made it to the next round. They will be in the Eastern Conference semifinals by defeating the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 of the series. Jason Tatum had 30 points, 14 and 7 assists and played an important role in the win, with Jaylen Brown scoring 32 points.
I think the Boston Celtics will continue to perform like this in the next games, we can watch them in the conference finals Smiley
For me, Celtics got the good chemistry plus they're gonna start on the home court advantage. Brown and Tatum are doing great things with the Celtics and I think they'll gonna get this and they'll match again with the Heat.
Their last losses is due to their negligence and hawks take advantage with that.
Well, kudos to Hawks for bringing such a tight round for the Celtics, they have extended that one pretty good. I am rooting this will be Celtics win but 76ers was just waiting and has more preparations tbh although Embiid's injury and availability for Game 1 is still questionable so that will be difficult for 76ers.

Many got always get reminded for that as this topic is always discussed everywhere and its just there are still lazy people exist then ignore this actions because they can't afford to read long words written. Then just proceed without any hesitation, I don't know why they ignore the warnings since this is really important for a player to know what those casino prohibits and what they can do for the casino they are playing.
If there is prohibition about something and players still do the same thing it's consider violation of the rules for which they have to face consequences but they don't look at these terms first of all which we have already talked about so now taking it long is no fun because you have to follow the changes rules that's it.
People are lazy and that's a given and even if we say it should account them and it will cost them some money, they'll not care as long as it's convenient for them to play without inconvenience. Well, that's always the case when playing on casinos but if you're winning or something they'll start to notice and impose those prohibitions. It's ironic to think but casinos should be strict too on the very first day and be consistent throughout your playing days.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: April 28, 2023, 02:34:37 PM
Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
My advice is don't forget it and leave until that year maybe there could be some updates on that token and you'll be missing big time. I think ARB wasn't undervalued anymore, I don't know much about SUI and the other two is unknown to me. I still think ETH is a good hold.

I don't know if 76ers will be choked again this time but the one they sweep wasn't that good compare to Celtics. 845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: April 27, 2023, 04:28:25 PM
What patterns do you see and how much do you believe in it?
I don't know but not seeing any patterns tbh and don't believe such a thing but maybe on more technical perspective of others they see it. If it's happening in milliseconds then that maybe not for human mind to see, or maybe not for me. So, it's best if we bet on sports rather than computer base gambling?
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 27, 2023, 03:04:24 PM
many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"
Well, they aren't called addicts for nothing. If there's no money to gamble and there's an urge to their mind, for sure they'll gonna take the risks just to satisfy their wants. Do you think it's psychological or an emotional need that gambling addicts tend to do this risks?
847  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 27, 2023, 10:10:50 AM
Is anyone else feeling like something is wrong here?
I recently read a thread that US market is getting unfriendly to crypto and that there could be some unnoticed ripple effect especially to crypto related products, that's just my opinion. Yeah, some banks failing is good for crypto but having US showing some sign of not being healthy at the moment means it could spread on a wider area in the crypto sphere and that crypto gambling is not an exception. I could be wrong though.
It is may the result of this action from US government though we already knew that for long years their government is not that so friendly towards cryptocurrency.
and now the recession and other things impacted the gambling community?
and there are something need to anticipate since the topic only talking about bonuses that for me ?
is gambling sites prerogative because we are not forced to gamble so it is our way how to deal with it.
those giveaways are just part of their luring strategy but that does not mean it will completely implemented all the years, they can lower or even take it .
My opinion is if something happens big with banks and governments it will affect everything crypto, gambling all aspects of life but like we saw in past times, crypto and gambling markets are the fastest ones to recover from it. So if it happens just get past that time and it will be normal again.
I agree with your statement that any situation that happens to the US bank or market even a bad economic situation but cryptocurrencies and gambling will always recover quickly, especially gambling will recover quickly.
Because gambling is one of the strongest businesses in the world, it has been recognized that this business has a quick income to recover from any situation.
We can also take another example when the covid pandemic was at a time when the economic situation was bad but cryptocurrency bitcoin price actually reached its highest in 2021.
So I tell the truth that any difficult situation crypto and gambling will be the first business to recover.
Let's be optimistic that it will be that way because during the pandemic even if the economy is collapsing the gambling industry is still ongoing and getting stronger. I don't know if that will be the same this time though but I'm not losing any hope that anything related to banks failing are good for crypto as a whole.

849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 26, 2023, 11:33:51 PM
TBH, I can't consider projects like FTX or Luna to be scam projects, because here we are talking about something more specific like a planned scam. FTX or Luna can be described as an accident rather than a (planned) scam. [If you know the actual chronology of the 2 big projects].
For FTX I think it was just some bad decisions internally andfor Luna I don't think that was just accidental. Do Kwon was likely being hideous that he really is planning to scam his investors, there has been some signs that it was an obvious scam, I just can't remember that twitter thread anymore though, it was likely the same thing with Bitconnect. Moreover, I don't think there's something as accidental, if they scam people then they're scammers.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 26, 2023, 09:56:35 PM
My question is can it still be called gambling if it is not played with money?
If it involves money, prediction and the anticipation that you'll gonna win or there's some kind of competition, I think that can be categorized as gambling. It still anticipates a reward at the end so for me that's still gambling.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 26, 2023, 02:17:17 PM
Check first on what are they trying to achieve, if it's nothing new then it was likely just to drain investors pocket, check if their team is legit, check if they're connecting with any real people, company or organizations, their white paper and lot more to check. I'm not saying this is always but the likeliness is weighing it that it could be one.
Some of the examples you mentioned are not absolute examples of how to identify a scam project, for example:

- About what the project wants to achieve, there are currently a lot of L-1 projects that want to solve scalability problems, is that something new? of course not, for example the Aptos (APT) or Sui (SUI) projects.

- About the legit team, I want to ask you, is the Shiba Inu (SHIB) project a scam project? because until now the developer of this project is a Pseudonym. It's not, right?
You could have read my latter sentence if you're being intelligent on that stance. I'm also saying they are not an absolute example tbh. There could have been some exceptions of course.

The easiest way for me to identify a project is a scam or won't last long is by the way they drive the community. If a project only focuses on price, they will 100% scam.
You should have known Terra and FTX that wasn't focusing solely on on the price yet they scam their investors. Scammers tend to learn that trick and they are hideous now more than ever.
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 26, 2023, 08:14:20 AM
There are so many new projects launching everyday and some of them can be good and some of them can be a scam as well. How can we identify it well? Perhaps we should have more discussion about it so we all can learn from everyone's experience.

853  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 26, 2023, 05:23:48 AM
For me as long as it involve crypto and the rest of the technology that involves around it, I can call that as a web3 casino. Decentralization isn't likely to be achieved on a casino, the only closest one is Bitcoin but I can't tell if it can still be called like that.
You have a wrong understanding, most of crypto are centralized and any casino that ask you to submit KYC is centralized which mean those two reasons already ruin WEB 3.0 definition. Gambling using Bitcoin isn't decentralized too because you need to send your coins to the casino and the casino have access to your coins.

Until now there's no real WEB 3.0 casino, most of them are less decentralized casino.
I have my own view on how web3 is being termed so you clearly have misunderstood it as well. You probably have not read that "Decentralization isn't likely to be achieved on a casino" statement of mine. Web3 is just a term and real soon even casinos would just jump to web4 or something, those are just to hype the crowd. So, for me, it doesn't matter.
854  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 25, 2023, 02:07:57 PM
Lately we have seen a lot of online casinos that are considering themselves as Web3.0 but in reality it’s just a name, they don’t over a real Decentralized experience for players.
So i want to know from you what’s are all the features an online casino should have to be considered as web3.0 casino?

855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 rewards from BTC miners - What is the angle? on: April 25, 2023, 01:06:37 PM
Not new, they'll just rip off investors pocket with this. I wonder if how will they carry out those rewards? Maybe they'll audit everything then just hand the rewards manually to the miners, total bs.

It's booming on 2017/2018, so most people are aware about like these unless you're new.
I remember those days that even a project that doesn't need some tokenization will make thousand or even millions raised on ICOs. This kind of scheme was present on that period too.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it advisable to invest on Solana? on: April 22, 2023, 07:20:53 PM
Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.
Solana is still by far the scalable chain out there and the issue around it was just dragged by the FTX bankruptcy. I'm hesitant though on Solana projects considering even Solana itself hasn't recovered yet from its ATH. This isn't a financial advice but you can invest in Solana coins, just manage your risks.

I had high hopes for Solana before and even thought of buying and holding it for long-term investment but because of the issues and controversies that it has been facing, I doubted accumulating it. I find it a lot risky to invest in Solana compared to well-established coins so if your goal is for long-term investment, just choose coins with higher potential preferably Bitcoin, Eth, or BNB. There are still lots of reputable coins that you can choose from but always do research especially if you are doubting.
Not bad considering there are a lot of options out there in the market and new chains are getting some traction. The ultimate goal is to accumulate more Bitcoin and Ethereum but having some altcoins as stepping stone isn't that bad considering you could potentially gain some high results once altcoin season begans.

858  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: April 22, 2023, 02:07:45 PM
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 21, 2023, 11:23:29 PM
Reading another post, it crossed my mind that AIs and particularly ChatGPT could potentially be trained with a large samples of games played by poker champions and then put it to auto-play with amateur on-line players. If this is successful, it could mean the end of human on-line poker playing except perhaps for the world masters and the like. Has anyone tried? Would it be possible??
Before ChatGPT make some noise in the mainstream media there's already Deepstack, Libratus and Pluribus to name a few selected successful AIs that really played with professional poker players and they actually win. AI has way more beyond capabilities than what human can grasp and they're being trained and won't have any exhaustion as long as it's already stored in their memory. So, it's totally possible.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2019/09/13/artificial-intelligence-masters-the-game-of-poker--what-does-that-mean-for-humans/amp/
These AI foll0w a set of algorithm, if their opponent is able to crack them or know their pattern, it would easily get beaten by human.  Human's decision making and strategy making is far wider than AI which is limited according to the code implanted to them.  So AI cannot function very well than the human mind in terms of decision making and strategy creation.  AI may win on the early games but once they were cracked, they don't stand a chance against human's mind.
Crack trillion of hands or patterns? That Pluribus AI was totally an out of this world AI and it can participate on multiplayer poker and that was a no joke tbh of achievement for AI. Yeah, it can be cracked but that would take years before that happens imo. Moreover, let's state the fact that AI can beat this kid of plays even it includes human decisions.

11.107x is the multiplier that many gamblers really dream of getting but unfortunately this is not something you will be able to see and get often because such a lucky player with a $0.1 bet can make his balance into thousands of dollars

Source
I wonder how many spins have been made or money lost before hitting this one. Indeed a huge win from this user, I do think this ind of bet amounts are likely on auto spins as I am doing it in the past as well but haven't got that same multiplier though, a 500x is huge for me how much for a 11kx, that would likely be the greatest win I could ever imagine and would take more spins again before hitting it. Congrats to this winner.
