Yes, I will inform about how it goes and keep here updated with the dialog we have. Thanks.

Ps: I am trying to inform them with email but they have automated the email requests as being a support ticket.

A quick look at all the tweets they are receiving shows many people are having issues: https://twitter.com/search?f=realtime&q=%40moolah_io&src=typd

If you have any questions please join #digibytecoin and talk to 'digibytedev' on IRC. Or email dev@digibyte.co!
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does the Chinese name ★极特币★ sound for DigiByte? on: October 12, 2014, 01:22:05 PM
We have changed it to: 极特币 After learning the name had already been chosen by the Chinese community.

Halinyo,
Good way to add urgency and solve your/our issues. I hope you get your balance out and keep us posted on the dialogue.

I let my lawyer contact Moolah about my DGBs and account. She will send an official letter tomorrow. I will update here.
Yes, let us know. In the past we have talked with them on IRC in the #mintpal room. It is now saying we have to poses a valid "ssl" cert to connect to their room. Has anyone else been able to join their IRC chat room?

This coin seems to be doing all the right things - why does the price keep dropping?

Is it simply the massive inflation rate?  If so, are the devs planning to slow that down to give the price a chance to rise?

Cheers!

The most important reason is that DGB does not seem interesting to investor... Not yet any marketing or advertising...
It just seemed to them like any other coin around maybe more minable options involved...

Therefore, not much buy walls but those inflated coins come to be dumped so results in price drop...
If this is the rate in next 2 weeks we will see 12-13 Sats unless an interesting news came up.

I think there is nothing wrong with the current inflation rate, rather than reducing it, we should let people use DGB around the world including china, do the right thing like marketing, advertising, then this amount of DGB will not be enough for the world... Now you see bitcoin is just not enough....

PS: If the reward is halved, I would not mind though. It can be good in the long run. If it should be done anyhow, then should be done in the next update.
We should not really play a lot with the main core of the coin too much... The investors may run away due to radical decisions on the coin.

BTER.COM should add DGB... That might help a lot.
Thank you for the feedback! We are working on getting some new advertising options set up in China. We also have the Chinese name for DigiByte compiled into our development wallet. We have fixed a couple of the bug & are working to fix 2 more before we release v3.0.2. If all goes well we can do this by the end of this coming week.

As for Android & iOS wallets. We are talking with several developers at the moment to get bids on finishing these. We have attempted to update Android but we are not very experienced on the Android platform so we are bringing in the pros.

If anyone is interested in helping to moderate r/DigiByte on redddit please let us know. We could use help updating links & info there as well as helping to grow our Reddit user base.

We want to be well positioned to welcome the Doge mining community into DigiByte when Doge mining ends in January. We feel starting this process now is appropriate.

When we announce the DigiByte Wiki, community members will be able to actively post content and update information pertaining to DigiByte. Thanks again for all your support!

Vlad,

We have been having internal discussions about this. Simply put we doubled the production of coins at block 145k.

DigiByte was on track to produce all of its coins over a 30 + years. Now it will happen in about 15 years. We are potentially thinking of a hard fork next spring that will cut new coin production in half.

What is the communities take on this?

I can tell you that there seems to be a withdrawal issue if you are trying a certain amount of DGB. It feels like a hard cap. It has occurred to me on Mintpal and the same issue is now happening on CEX.IO. Do you think it could be a wallet restriction?

Guys, I have over 5 million DGBs on MP and cannot withdraw and people start saying they are a scam....
What should we do ? Any contact to Moolah ? Thanks.
We have not had any direct contact with Moolah yet. We have been able to withdraw the small amount of BTC we had that we where using to buy DGB. If anyone has been able to successfully withdraw please let us know! We will be contacting them.
It may very well be a hard cap. For instance Cryptsy limits withdrawals to 9,999,999 coins.  Try withdrawing in a much smaller increment first to see if it works.

Has everyone been telling everybody you know about how profitable it is to mine DGB?

Are there any gamers here with logins to gaming forums? I'd be happy to help with a PR piece for DGB that could be posted in that space. Why not make some extra income when you're not playing and your machine is running idle?

HR,

Very cool chart! Thanks for sharing. Also, check your pm's.

DigiByte Bug Bounties & Job Offerings

Greeting everyone!

We are excited to announce we are now offering bug fix reward bounties! Help us fix some of the issues on Github and we will send you some DGB (50,000 DGB). We are swamped with development work on other DigiByte projects. So the more eyes we can get on the code the better!

Check out the issues here: https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProject/issues

Also, if you have a known DigiByte issue that is not listed there, please create a new "issue" with error & code details so we can look through it. We want to begin organizing & tracking all problems there instead of via email & pm's.

DigiByte Contract Opportunities

iOS APP:
We are looking for an experienced iOS developer to develop & maintain a DigiByte iOS app. Most likely this can be done by forking the bread wallet code. https://github.com/voisine/breadwallet

We are very willing to negotiate & pay a very fair amount in DGB, BTC or USD for this work.

Finish Android DigiByte Wallet:
We are looking for an experienced Android (java) developer to help us finish the wallet & work through some of the bugs we are currently experiencing. We have a wallet partway done with our existing Android wallet. We have several errors we need to debug.

We are very willing to negotiate & pay a very fair amount in DGB, BTC or USD for this work.

Full-time DigiByte Developer in Hong Kong
We are looking to hire a full time C++ developer in or around Hong Kong to work on the core DigiByte code as well as other DGB projects. This person will work out of our start-up office in HK. Pm us if you are interested or know anyone who may be interested. We will also be looking to hire a couple more developers in the coming weeks in Hong Kong!

DigiByte is finally getting of the ground & we are excited to see where things are heading!

email: dev@digibyte.co for more information about these opportunities!

Hi everyone!!

Is anybody still in the same position as myself on mintpal where their email address is not recognised!?

I have sent them multiple emails and still haven't responded to me and it has been nearly 3 days!

Having a couple of million DGB in my account I feel as if I have been robbed!

Is any of the DGB team in contact with mintpal and at all being updated about anything!!?

i had to reset my passport then i could login. if login fails they have a link to the password change there. click that, reset password and try again.

but it seems all dgb wallets dont work so you cant buy or sell at the moment. order cannot be placed properly.
Thank you for providing feedback. It appears they are still working through several issues. We were able to make a small withdrawal earlier. Once we reset our password we were able to login. It appears all Mintpal accounts need to reenable 2-factor as well as reseting your password.

@DigiByte
Can you please add me again to the list on first page, server is finally up again with 4x algos available (Scrypt/Skein/Groestl/SHA256), thanks.
We will. Thank you for letting us know!

Bittrex Error
Code:
Warning: The network does not appear to fully agree! Some miners appear to be experiencing issues"

So, what do you think? Are we going to come to the conclusion in the end that this is normal and desirable program behavior that gives us early warning alerts as to the possibility of a fork (a just in case type of thing, even if it isn't even remotely likely at all) and we just need to be patient, automatically cancel payments for a couple of minutes, and then move on? That's a lot better than the alternative that the coding prevents against, isn't it?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=284000.0
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/30262/what-does-safe-mode-warning-the-network-does-not-appear-to-fully-agree-some
https://github.com/slickage/baron/issues/18

And if BTC still hasn't come up with an improved, even better, whiter, faster, bigger, beyond all worldly expectations that suspend the basic laws of physics . . .

I'd be requesting all kinds of data from Bittrex, and doing my best not to let them distract me too much from all the more important things I have on my agenda.  Wink

HR,

Thanks for the feedback! It does appear something in their internal system is flagging that warning and automatically shutting the wallet down. It also appears their block chain database might be corrupted. If they could re-download & re-index the DigiByte blockchain the issue should be resolved as this issue is isolated.

I don't understand why people are saying its a bittrex issue.  There have been multiple reports in this thread from pool operators experiencing the same thing.  Just because it doesn't negatively affect them, doesn't mean its not a problem.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.msg9131072#msg9131072

We have provided everything the dev team has asked for including our debug.log file.

We have already re-indexed and re-downloaded the entire blockchain.  Our systems are designed to shut down on anomalies and non-standard behavior.  This definitely falls into that category, and we do not have any other coins with this issue.  If you need additional information, please do contact me directly at richie(at)bittrex.com.

Thanks
richie
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on this issue. We are testing different solutions as we speak. We are still working out the best way to tackle this issue as it seems to be a side effect of multi-algo mining. We are planing to release the update later next week. We understand the frustration and that people want to get things worked out. We will keep everyone update. We will be making an announcement about projects here in the next few hours. Thanks again everyone for your patience!
