^ Oh you poor, naive soul. The "rogue developer" story is straight bullshit. Bets not shut down so he can clean the bankroll out with the server seed in plain sight.

EDIT: Meant for Cluster2k
862  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 08, 2014, 12:48:44 AM
Holy fucking shit what a mess this has turned out to be. I can't believe I happened to gamble all night at Dice Bitco.in and witness this shit implode in real-time. I can literally feel this dude sweating through the internet as he has realized that this will be no laid-back, (scamming) business-as-usual Sunday, and in fact has gone ugly as shit at lightning speed. Can somebody please doxx this asshole already before he tries and disappears? Anybody got emails from DiceBitcoin? We can check email headers as a start.

I feel like I should make some popcorn and watch this soap opera unfold in real life. And I don't mean anything light towards the situation in terms of people who are unaware and still invested, and those like Spoderman and Stars who were straight up robbed. "Profit Coins?" That sounds like a horribly shitty altcoin.
863  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 07:22:47 PM
That sounds shady as fuck, in my opinion. Whether it's true or not- I don't know. But it seems Awfully suspicious that one of your people just happened to let slip today in chat that a "new worker had been given access to the code."

If this is true- Name this developer.
If what you say is true then He (or she) is directly to blame for stealing from us. If that really happened then let's hear who it is, throw them to the wolves and we can question the legitimacy of this person ourself. And then of course you would be helping the community by letting us know who is a dirty scamming thief, and to prevent future projects involving this individual.

Also- where can I see a full list of all bets made from both roberto.bernier and esteban.davis, my 2 accounts?
I can only check the last 100 or so unless I'm missing something. There did seem to be a few abnormally long losing streaks late last night/early this morning. I stayed up all night gambling on DB. I can attest to the fact that it seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary yesterday, but there was a patch at some point early morning hours here that it seemed that the "All Bets" tab was red, including streaks of mine. I would just like to be able to check, I don't know for certain if it was right or wrong. Maybe mine weren't as affected because I'm not a whale.

-snarlpill

P.S. - If you are really honest, and had nothing to do with this, then just ride if out and don't go anywhere. Yes it will be a shitstorm for a long time, but if you right the wrongs then over time you can work on building up your dream again.
864  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 04:15:57 PM
The ones I checked against RGBKey Verifier were good.

EDIT- Still waiting to hear Doog's final personal opinion on whether he thinks the "bug" was intentional or not. I'm sure he is measuring twice and cutting once as they say, treading carefully because there is a lot at stake here.
865  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 03:58:51 PM
if it was cheating and was so easy to point it out. does that make sense?

you make a site and it genrates millions of dollars in rev in 3 weeks. cheating would not be the smartest business move

Refer to my previous posts about how easy it would be for them to scam with server seeds. To scam on verifiable rolls would be stupid. Which is why I don't believe the "bug" with the rolls was intentional.     ....at least not at the moment.
866  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 03:40:32 PM
And the info. you get from clicking Provably Fair to verify it is for your last roll right? And inputting client seed, server seed, and nonce? For RGBKey verifier?

EDIT- I see where to get each roll info. now. So far all of mine are showing true matched against RGBKey verifier.
867  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 03:14:41 PM

The smart part about your scam was that , nobody checked the nonces were consecutive or not

Doog is this true? I know if anybody can tell us this honestly it is you.
868  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 03:09:05 PM
Doog I wish I could have you check some of my rolls. I did notice unusually long strings of losses towards the period of time that the "scandal" emerged. However, I had been pushing my luck for hours, so could have been variance, and had already cashed out a massive profit today luckily.  I will look more into the verifying when I have the time. I have no reason to believe they would fuck with the bets because they could easily win 10-20 BTC a month off the house with server seeds, and do such in a low key way to slide by undetected forever. So if they were scammers I think it'd be in their best interest to not mess with verifiable rolls.

Just my 2 cents,
snarlpill

EDIT: However I still think the 6 confirms required to cashout when it states 4 (An already huge number) is misleading and needs fixed or changed to state up front 6 confirms needed.

lose 20 btc today. LOL

Been seeing your bets on there, crazy man. Good luck if you are chasing losses.

I myself got up to 0.80 from 0.01 BTC I can't even believe it. Considering just closing the site and walking away until my deposit has the 6 confirms needed to withdraw.
871  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 06, 2014, 07:41:39 PM
Got a bone to pick here and a few comments.
First of all- great job on the site. Beautiful UI, real-time stats, invest option, no lag (ever; Major Plus), etc. I was a Just-Dice junkie, and after it shut down I moved to Prime Dice. Now I'll play a little bit on both PD3 and your site (I go elsewhere when PD is down; dooglus, I remember seeing your amazement that nobody seems to do that). So I do enjoy your site a lot and congratulate you on a job well done.

Now on to the disappointment. Last night and today I have sent some BTC to your site and made a decent profit (about 120% today (EDIT- Oops, meant to write 1200%) but only started on 0.01, so nothing crazy). In the past I've seen and taken notice of the fact that you require 4 confirmations on your deposit before it can be withdrawn. It could be said that this is in the name of security, but in my opinion it just assures that addicted gamblers will continue to gamble (and therefore probably lose) their funds even if they happen to strike a profit and want to withdraw. And hey- that's whatever. If I owned a BTC dice site it would probably be in my best interest to do this as well. So, yes, 4 confirmations before withdrawing does suck, but I can deal with it, and it is clearly & publicly stated on the site. However at this point in time, I have been on 5 confirmations for 15-20 minutes or more, and am Still getting the error message when trying to withdraw. This, in my opinion, is very uncool and the information given is misleading. If you require 6 confirmations before withdrawing, right on I guess, but that needs to be what is stated. I had the exact same problem last night and don't think I was able to withdraw until 6 confirmations.

Disclaimer: I have not read this whole thread, and so if this has been addressed previously, or is an acknowledged bug that you are working on, I apologize for bringing it up again in a negative light.

-snarlpill

EDIT- My initial deposit just reached 6 confirms, and I was able to withdraw. I fully feel as if you have it set for 6 confirmations instead of 4. Also, my intentions with this post are not negative, so please don't take this as an attack on your site.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest place to buy Bitcoin in the US on: September 06, 2014, 06:34:31 PM
I usually buy from coin.mx if I am not doing a p2p trade. U.S. based, and once you get verified (not hard) you can do instant deposits from credit/debit card and fully Instant buys. A little while ago the selling price used to be higher than average, and a good arbitrage opportunity could be had. Now I think the prices have leveled a bit more with the average market price. Their support is A+ too from my experience, so they get my trusted vouch for them.

I dislike Coinbase. They have started banning accounts connected with BTC gambling, and I've heard numerous other problems from people. Plus a 4 day wait to get coins if you don't have a Visa card, get out of here. 4 days in the 24/7 crypto world might as well be 4 weeks to me.

Hope this helps,
snarlpill

If they don't want me advertising my sites on their network they should refund my money. Otherwise, they are thieves.

Unless it is explicitly stated in their terms of service linked from every page of the site. That's our current policy to prevent scammers from advertising.

Yesterday we received an email from moriartybitcoin, we replied in ~3 hours in order to resolve the issue, but he started a smear campaign even before that:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=748902.msg8457699#msg8457699

Here is our reply:

And after that he started to threaten us and doing this:

http://bitcoinscammer.com/ (wow, he registered a domain for us yesterday!)

http://bitscams.org/bitcoin-scams/bitcoin-web-scam/a-ads-com-scam

This is the link to his campaign: https://a-ads.com/campaigns/3292

You can see that he deposited 0.1 btc, not 1 btc as he claims in http://bitscams.org/bitcoin-scams/bitcoin-web-scam/a-ads-com-scam

Unfortunately all his further emails and actions confirm our initial suspicions.

PS: Here is our official thread at bitcointalk.org: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140822.0

Thank you arsenische for the wonderful advertising service you provide with a-ads. I've had questions about the impression and click counting before, but never had doubts about the integrity of the service or any problems with paying everyday. You are definitely the more legitimate out of the 2 parties here. Classy and well handled response (I LOL'd at "then running the ads with a 'shady' tag"  Cheesy). That just makes me like a-ads so much more.

As far as moriarty's scam BTC "laundering" site- the blockchain doesn't lie. If you didn't rob rickyjames of his 130 BTC, then by all means- post a transaction id in here.  ....   We'll be waiting.

Lol, what a nonsensical shill you are. Your comment doesn't even make sense here. The "coin" works well for me ....        What coin? Bitcoin? Please, go wander back into whoever's sock drawer you crawled out of.

Oh man, it kills me everytime I see this thread because I still haven't gotten the extra money to buy one. I wish you guys could set one back for a month or something, that way there would still be one left to get after this next round of bills I have coming up. Very happy for your company's success though, excited to see future designs.

We just saved a pair for you Smiley

Still have these? I have the BTC and Doge needed to buy the both of them now. That would be Awesome, and thanks again for saving them back for me!

Update:

Have you guys noticed any failed rolls (timeout, server error etc.)? I'm thinking the site could still cheat with the free rolls if when a good number turns up the server simply fakes a timeout or a server error. You should then make sure that your next roll will have the same server seed, client seed and nonce until it succeeds. But obviously you can't be sure you'll have the same because out of the three you can only control the client seed. I'll keep an eye out for this with my future rolls but wanted to bring this to your attention and find out what you think of this. I'll also finalize my probability analysis rather soon I hope.

The site's dev/owner is a trusted member of our community, and he has done his best to make things completely and provably fair as much as possible. There has also been much analysis of the free rolls and this site in general already done. The odds of hitting the higher numbers and 10,000 have been calculated as well. The chances are very slim, but possible. I have seen a lot of the higher numbers hit, but not 10,000. It is very hard and rare to hit that for a reason; the site couldn't survive if people hit 10,000 a couple times a week.

In short- wetsuit has done everything possible to maintain fairness with the site- even making changes to the algorithm when better choices have been brought up, and adding a roll verifier. If there is any possible way of being cheated- I would guarantee that it is not there because of wetsuit, and if he knew about it- it would be fixed.
