861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO investment still worth it? on: June 22, 2018, 09:53:58 AM
it has never been worth it and now nothing has changed about ICOs yet. they are still the same high risk investment that anyone can make. which is why people consider them as a gamble instead of an investment. and these days with all the bans such as the ones that SEC is talking about and the warnings they are issuing everyday the things are even harder for ICOs.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the World Cup ends, will ETH and BTC rise? on: June 22, 2018, 09:42:19 AM
where do you people get your ideas from? there is simply zero relationship between world cup and bitcoin let alone be anything with ethereum!!!!

Of course, they will make money seem legal by laundering money. Virtual currency is a good choice.
it is cryptocurrency not virtual.
and it is the dumbest choice not a good one because everything is recorded on the blockchain for the whole world to see and follow! to launder money you either use cash which is 100% anonymous or use an anon coin which is very rare to be used for that. laundering using fiat is much easier and cheaper.

This may be naive and perhaps sensitive. Welcome to discuss.

i am more interested in knowing where you got the idea from? this is not the first time this topic is started and as i said there is absolutely no relationship.
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Breakout to 7K coming ! Whales are ready for breakout! on: June 22, 2018, 09:31:05 AM
FROM telegram group
...
i just add what i know and did read.

then you should stop following such groups. there is nothing good at the end of that tunnel for you. they are 99% of the time a bunch of idiots trolling each other or trying to pump some altcoin, they usually become too self confident that they start giving opinion about bitcoin too!

there are good signs pointing to a possible rise, there is no denying that but none of it is YET strong enough to be considered a signal for breakout.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $17 Billion Deleted From Cryptocurrency Market in 24 Hours as Ethereum Falls 7% on: June 22, 2018, 09:24:25 AM
when people say the total market cap is fake, this is why!

when a shitcoin has a huge supply (like ETH) when it loses value it loses a LOT of market cap. the same is true when it is pumped. it is a simply multiplication: a * b so when a (supply) is huge and you increase b (price) you get a much bigger result.

at the end of the day ETH is still in a huge bubble because of all these ICOs that have been pumping it for over a year. it needs to continue coming down for a very long time until you can call it "bottom". at least another $300 should be "deleted" from its price which is about $30 billion of its fake market cap.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold(BTG) will be replace by one another Bitcoin fork (SBTC,UBTC,LBTC,.) on: June 22, 2018, 09:07:08 AM
"replace" suggests that it had a place to give up to another coin. but the fact is there is no "place" to give. all of these  forked coins from bitcoin cash to bitcoin silver (that never happened) are in one place: useless shitcoins.
and just because one of t hem fails doesn't mean another will be pumped. they are all easily attackable. if not by 51% by 10 other attack methods.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee will not promote ICO anymore on: June 21, 2018, 09:33:23 AM
this can act as a warning to all the ICO nuts who are not aware of the illegal activities they are getting involved with. we may see a much fiercer ban hammer on ICOs in US from SEC this year specially since many other countries have been so strict about ICOs and have been banning them.
i think John McAfee realized this and got out when he could before he got caught in some sort of lawsuit and were imprisoned.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Punishment for ICO for being scammed. on: June 21, 2018, 09:16:25 AM
there is no regulations whatsoever on ICOs and when it comes to investing cryptocurrency in tokens (aka investing ETH in ICO) you can never regulate it so you can never expect any kind of punishments for when  they scam you. the only solution is to not trust them in first place!

if you are so desperate for profit there are still a lot of other ways of making profit. trading altcoins is the most similar way to investing in ICO but with a lot less risk and a lot less scams.
868  Economy / Speculation / Re: South Korean exchange hacks causing Bitcoin price drops, but less consequential. on: June 21, 2018, 09:05:52 AM
Such news don't have much effect on bitcoins nor altcoins. The exchange total volume is small  compared to what individuals and other cryptocurrency exchange hold. It can't have much effect

what are you talking about? Bithumb was the 6th exchange in daily trading volume when it got hacked! and that is huge among hundreds of exchanges with different volume levels. them going down hit a lot of users and the hack itself has been huge also. it is $30 million dollar worth of crypto.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new delhi, india : Bitcoin gold sold as bitcoin to uneducated investors ! on: June 21, 2018, 08:56:17 AM
but this is nothing like the scams of Bitcoin Cash.

any scams that OP is reporting is only a very small number of people while BCH is scamming lots of people every day because of the website they own (bitcoin.com) which is selling BCH to those who want to buy bitcoin.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman Shares Comments On ICO Investors Being Manipulated on: June 21, 2018, 08:46:26 AM
ICO is pure scam it doesn't have to be sugar coated to be true or false it is completely clear to everyone that they are all scams. people don't want to see it sometimes though so they put their heads in the sand and pretend everything is fine but it is not.
when there is no company and no product and no development whatsoever that means they are asking for money donations while returning nothing. you sometimes get profit of course but you also gain profit from pump and dumps that doesn't make them legal.
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bithump Hacked!!! Again bitcoin price drop? on: June 21, 2018, 08:29:13 AM
as you can see the price has not dropped at all because of this news which means there is no reason for it to drop anymore. i think we have literary hit rock bottom with bitcoin price and there is no more dump left in anyone to push the price down and cause any panic even with this huge negative news!!!
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto like money on: June 20, 2018, 09:32:42 AM
that doesn't seem decentralized at all!
from what i understand it is a third party service that you have to pay to buy these things from. it is like a middle man. in other words if i understood this correctly the title of this topic is very misleading because you are not using crypto like money you are using a token that you buy with money to pay a third party to then go ahead and buy with money instead of you!!! that is a lot of additional steps  + requires trusting that third party.
873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2018 bitcoin amendment price be similar to 2014? on: June 20, 2018, 09:23:37 AM
just because 2014 was the LAST bubble it doesn't mean it is similar to 2018 one. the fact is the circumstances were very different in each case that you can say they have absolutely nothing in common!
but unfortunately the way of thinking is also known to affect the price a lot more than circumstances so as more people start thinking that way we may end up seeing the same market afterall!
874  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price drop has occured before on: June 20, 2018, 08:51:00 AM
for bitcoin this type of ups and downs which look more like a roller coaster is a normal thing and will remain for a long time until we reach mass adoption and a much bigger exchanges to trade on. until that day we will continue seeing this type of huge rise followed by a bubble and then a correction and a lot of panic sells.

and guess who regrets their decisions in a year from now? the panic sellers.
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you buy bitcoin in December 2017? on: June 20, 2018, 08:45:03 AM
there is nothing wrong with buying bitcoin at different times even if the current price is lower than that price you bought at. bitcoin is going to continue going higher, this is nowhere near the end of that high price that bitcoin will reach! obviously you always prefer to buy at the bottom of the dips and as low as possible but that is not always possible.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing number of altcoin (Good or Bad)?? on: June 17, 2018, 09:20:34 AM
it is more like inevitable than anything else!

when you create some shitcoin you are creating money for yourself. and when it is very easy to do so and you can make a lot of money out of it sometimes, there is nothing stopping you from doing it. these days with ICOs things got way easier!!!

do we need them? obviously not
are they contributing to anything? not at all
are the damaging? of course. they have filled the market and took the top ranks everywhere with their pumps.
877  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC’s Market Dominance back to 40% - what’s next? on: June 17, 2018, 09:13:31 AM
one of my hopes is that someone creates a bunch of shitcoins with a little higher supplies so that they can overtake bitcoin's market capitalization so that we might once and for all stop using market cap as "dominance".

i mean it is super easy to do too. if had more time i would have done it myself. you just need about 112 billion coins in circulation and a tiny pump to $1. you can just nudge the supply to 200 and pump it to half a dollar and have yourself a gigantic market cap Cheesy
878  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers or Tether - who do we blame? on: June 17, 2018, 08:59:29 AM
the problem with most people is that they want to blame someone else for the mistakes they make. this is always intensified during the drops like this. manipulation has existed forever and it is not just for bitcoin! the thing is, it is never as big as people show it to be.

not just that, but if you know there is manipulation then why not take advantage of it? for example if you think Tether is the reason for the rise then why did you buy bitcoin? greed or ignorance? or if you think it is HODLers or whatever who are dumping the price then why don't you buy bitcoin now? more greed or idiocy?
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why 2018 will be an amazing year for some but awful for others on: June 17, 2018, 08:48:57 AM
i believe 2018 will be one of the worst years for everyone!

first we have all these shitcoins and all these newbies investing in all of them including the ICos that are scamming them.
then we have all these altcoins that are pumped and are now having their bubbles burst and falling down.

this situation is not only causing a lot of downtime but also is making a lot of money exit the market.

good coins? nowhere to be found. if there is an actually good coin it will sadly be buried under all these shitcoins with huge market caps.
880  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Drop: Is this the Best Time to Buy? on: June 17, 2018, 08:40:37 AM
I think that we will not see a lower price, which means that this is the opportunity to buy bitcoins. I try to think logically and looking at the analogy with the past years, I think that this mark is the lowest.

Lol. People always say that. Back in january they said that 15k would be the lowest we could go. Then they said that we won't go below 10k. Then 9k. People expecting to hit specific figures are more often disappointed by btc's movements. If you're planning on buying, set up your expectations and adjust to price movements buy buying sparingly

you never buy bitcoin according to how low it is compared to its ATH that would be silly!
you always  buy bitcoin based on the fact that it can go up. in other words based on its potential. so saying it was $19k and now it is $X so it can go up is wrong. instead you should say it is currently $X and it has a lot of potential. bitcoin adoption is increasing so its price will go up even though temporarily it has gone down.
