I just got a payout again today.

0.00020793 BTC payout

-0.00020792 BTC fees

anyone else see a problem with this?

It's not funny at all but I seriously laughed out loud at this!

1 satoshi, that's bs.

I've got 20 MH/s and I'm only getting .0049 BTC/day before fees, unbelievable.

Well the 0.0049 BTC/Day is exactly right for 20 MH of scrypt mining power. You can verify that on coinwarz.com. Difficulty of scrypt mining is going up fast (much like most mining difficulties) and thus more MH are needed to mine the same amount of BTC/day.

The problem is that each MH is making about $0.08 per day and the fee Gaw charges for mining is still $0.08 per day (so you basically net nothing). I have sent my contact at GAW an email about their need to reduce the hosting fee. I'm hoping for a response on Monday.
863  Economy / Services / NEED GRAPHIC ARTIST on: November 16, 2014, 11:28:13 PM
Hello. I want an avatar made for myself. The bigger and higher quality the picture the better. I'm looking for a combination of a dark angel and a sorcerer. Please take some inspiration from the images below to create something new. I'm looking for the dark angel with wings to each side, probably holding a sword with both hands that is pointed downwards (think like a sword straight up and down, point is on the ground and handle is near his chest like he is stabbing the ground). Be creative and make it look good.

I'm going to start my rate at $10 in bitcoins for the best image. I'll prob bump it up if there is no interest.

Generally good: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130815132722/dragonsdogma/images/2/25/Dark-angel-1600x1000.jpg

I like the wing setup in this one, but maybe a bit bigger: http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/17900000/Dark-Angel-fantasy-17935274-323-386.jpg

865  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: rfid/nfc storage on: November 16, 2014, 01:22:32 AM
You could just store the wallet on the NFC already encrypted. Then whatever device you use to read the encrypted data off the NFC, the software on the reading device could then prompt you for the password to decrypt the information and use the wallet.
866  Other / New forum software / Internal ChangeTip Mechanism on: November 16, 2014, 12:23:48 AM
Either implement changetip to the forums or create an internal changetip function. Would also be great if it supported like the top 20 altcoins.
867  Economy / Speculation / Re: 13,500,000 coins passed on: November 15, 2014, 11:23:36 PM
1.35 crore.

Each new block is a milestone towards killing the inflation monster.

Almost 2/3 of the total coins to ever be mined are out there. Should be an interesting next few years with all the costings and diminishing gains. Interesting times ahead.

Yep greater than 64% of all coins have now been mined Cheesy
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: GAW Miner Discounts - Including Hashlet Prime and Hashlet Solo on: November 15, 2014, 06:53:23 PM
why are pay outs so low? I thought I would it least be pulling in a penny a day. Im literally pulling in under a penny a day. 6 fractions of a penny. what gives?

Well right now each MH of scrypt mining is paying out $0.011 a day after fees. It has come down quite a bit due to difficulty increases. Gaw will have to lower their $0.08/MH/Day fee very soon otherwise the miners technically won't be "profitable for ever".

I wish I had a better answer for you, but it really comes down to GAW fees HAVE to come down soon and the fact that only having 1 MH of scrypt mining nowadays isn't enough.

You want to have at LEAST 10 MH/s of scrypt mining nowadays to make about $1/Day. And we need gaw to reduce or restructure their fees.

870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: GAW Miner Discounts - Including Hashlet Prime and Hashlet Solo on: November 15, 2014, 06:46:35 PM
why is the payout so low lately?

Gaw is working on new contracts for their zenpool mining IPO coins. But just as a heads up for the other scrypt mining pools, as time goes on difficulty goes up and payouts become less. With this less BTC/Day/MH Gaw will continue to lower the hashlet prices accordingly, which explains why now you can get hashlets for as low as $6.95 per MH, which is FAR better than Antminer's Scrypt miners coming out since they will take time to deliver.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: November 15, 2014, 06:06:35 PM
What about the GUI-wallet for Monero?
Linux?, Win? Mac? Is there already available? If not, when there will be?

I know developing is slow, but if we do not horry, some other coin with similar or better features with GUI-wallet may replace monero.

There is currently no GUI wallet for Monero, but they are in development and look quite nice on top of that. Monero is a great cryptonote coin and I'm not currently worried about another altcoin replacing it. The fact that there is no user friendly wallet to use should make you realize how early to the game we are, accumulate while you can.

By the way: I'm for hire. If you have a smallish job I'm looking for work in increments of 25-50 Monero Smiley

I'm also willing to sell stuff for Monero (I know right now there is essentially little to no direct market for it). So let me know what you guys want for Monero and I'll see what I can do Smiley
872  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2014, 05:57:15 PM
I fail to see how $370 is not a great price right now

Sure, we were at $360 2 days ago but we've had retracements before we got there and it really looks like we are entering a bull market right now.

Why is nobody buying Huh

Funny that you say that, my weekly auto-buy just occurred.
873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 14, 2014, 11:55:22 PM
I'll have to watch the video in about 2 hours, could you briefly state the important topic?

I'll have to look into the Canada deposits being unsecured. It sounds like the central banks are getting ready to steal everyone's fiat wealth..... are we ready?
874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 14, 2014, 11:26:30 PM
The movements have dried up. It is now going to resolve one way or the other. I think it will go downwards but not confident to actually trade on it.

Downward probably, as that is the safe bet. No one knows if we left the bear market yet, and without any serious good news or extremely high volume to sustain another rally people will get out again.

The fact that bank deposits will soon no longer be considered money but paper investments might make a big difference in the long term. I don't know about the short term though.

http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2014/11/warning-bank-deposits-will-soon-no.html

Quote
This weekend the G20 nations will convene in Brisbane, Australia to conclude a week of Asian festivities that began in Beijing for the developed countries and major economies. And on Sunday, the biggest deal of the week will be made as the G20 will formally announce new banking rules that are expected to send shock waves to anyone holding a checking, savings, or money market account in a financial institution.

On Nov. 16, the G20 will implement a new policy that makes bank deposits on par with paper investments, subjecting account holders to declines that one might experience from holding a stock or other security when the next financial banking crisis occurs. Additionally, all member nations of the G20 will immediately submit and pass legislation that will fulfill this program, creating a new paradigm where banks no longer recognize your deposits as money, but as liabilities and securitized capital owned and controlled by the bank or institution.

In essence, the Cyprus template of 2011 will be fully implemented in every major economy, and place bank depositors as the primary instrument of the next bailouts when the next crisis occurs...

Is this fucking real? I'm on a mobile device right now, can people help me out with credible sources please
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 14, 2014, 05:22:55 AM

Yes people may sell some coins for holiday purchases, but that will probably only have a small impact. I've heard of a few people who will actually be using their holiday cash that they receive to finally buy some coins (think 16-25yo population).

Be interesting! Might give a good reason to pump after the holidays.

I'd highly doubt it would have any market influence. I'm just talking about a trend that might pick up little by little.

Edit: also with stuff like lawnmower.io I think people throwing "spare change" into btc will help with exposure.

I'm not expecting handouts, but I do admire the XMR Love:

Please show some XMR love to me too Smiley

I am not naming any names, but in Crypto Kingdom, there is a certain player who has done nothing in the game and is making 0.55 XMR on average per day just by existing. (The others are making more or much more of course Smiley )

So there is some love for the interested! An interactive faucet, just as intended

I saw that you are auctioning off land and gold reserves currently. Are those people making XMR or gold? And what is there to do so far in the game (I've only seen the auctions).

In terms of collecting stone etc, how is that done and what limits are there? I've never played a paper RPG before so 100% new to that.

To all the Anon donations thank you VERY MUCH! I also bought some more off bter around 1.6 mBTC/XMR which I think is a steal. I've now purchased the minimum amount of XMR I wish to hold, so that is pretty exciting Cheesy

USD/XMR price has slipped by $.10 during this BTC rally so far.

To the other poster talking about selling pressure, this is true as it is for bitcoin. You have to wait for the early adopter to sell a lot of their coins off and you end up with a more "fair" distribution of coins among people, which then also increases the price of each coin due to limited supply and continuing demand.

I messaged Smooth about me working on improving the monero.cc website, but no response yet (I assume he is now sleeping for night). But if anyone knows who is in charge of the website let me know or have them send me a PM. It's pretty easy to make it look better and good looks instills more confidence in the general public.
877  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk.org does not open at my home computers :( on: November 14, 2014, 05:08:10 AM

Well, from your answers I am able to eliminate the possibiity of it being a BTC Talk problem (I needed to be sure about it). So it might be something related to my ISP or my computers/router.

I'll investigate the issue around here.

Thank you all for your help. I'll try your suggestions (but I am almost sure this issue is caused by my ISP... I just need to confirm it) Wink

Also does your internet service give you a new IP everytime you disconnect your router? If so try disconnecting your router for 10 minutes and then reconnect. IDK how often IP bans are used on these forums, but that is another possibility if your IP was previously used to spam
878  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: I'm giving away a Bitcoin TREZOR and a 10% promo code on: November 14, 2014, 05:02:27 AM
Anyone know where i can get a metallic trezor? i thought they made them? plastic and rubber seems tacky to me so id prefer some metallic and durable feeling

Sweet I'm in too!

Can't get metallic ones anymore. The casing for those alone costs $300+

I think we are headed to $175.

Doubtful.

Exactly... Why would BAC pick some very unlikely BTC price point, and then to say that s/he it thinks that such price is going to happen?

Very unlikely given recent event and recent price movement and recent volume.. ..

Even the fact that BTC prices bounced off of $275 with such volume should cause a large number of rational observers to believe that this market has reversed and is very unlikely to return to such price points, absent some pretty bad news....

Accordingly, we have NOT been hearing any real bad news in regard to bitcoin.... much of the news is either good or neutral and with a few negative pieces here and there ... yet any negative news, to the extent it comes up, is largely outweighed by good and neutral news.

In other words, seems like stupid-ass trolling statements to be realistically attempting to assert that we are returning to anywhere below $360 without some kind of meaningful analysis and explanation... .. otherwise making bare assertions of such seems either trollish or fantasy landia-sh.

*shrugs* k man.

I'd say the past week has been pretty bad news, holidays are coming up, lots of BTC exchanged well bellow $100 and I don't think people will be gifting BTC hot n heavy for Christmas yet.

where are you getting sub $100 BTC ?

He's not. He's just spreading FUD. He will reply with "off exchange miners [insert creative idea here] so that [insert creative reasoning here]"

JJG has good points. Especially a random $175 guess by yourself with current uptrend and good volume seems not only random, but also a bad random guess (if your RNG could have its min influenced by any logic at all).

Going back down to $315-330ish could potentially happen, but I don't imagine it going much lower than that, lots of buyers around that point (as seen with the slaying of the bear whales 30k coins OVERNIGHT).

Yes people may sell some coins for holiday purchases, but that will probably only have a small impact. I've heard of a few people who will actually be using their holiday cash that they receive to finally buy some coins (think 16-25yo population).

As far as giving away christmas coins I really wish there was an easy way to give away cheap hardwallets. I've considered plastic cards with BIP encryption, but buying a card printing machine is going overboard for me.

I think http://cryptocards.co/?post_type=product is a GREAT idea, but $15 for the card THEN to add the bitcoins is a little overpriced for small gifts IMO.
