863  Economy / Collectibles / Casascius 0.5 BTC Brass For Sale: 10 @ 0.7ea on: September 25, 2014, 04:22:47 AM
Hey folks!

I've got ten (10) 2013 Casascius 0.5 BTC Brass physical bitcoins for sale. No cases, second owner, fresh off a full roll, never touched by bare hands, etc. See my other threads for pictures; they look like coins  Tongue

I'd like to sell these ten (10!) coins in a single lot, for 7 BTC. Free tracked worldwide shipping is included, of course.

Pull up your socks and dig out your wallets, buy some coins and get yourself a free prize included in your package!

How could you resist?
864  Economy / Services / Re: Professional Penetration Tests on: September 24, 2014, 03:16:37 PM
Pentesting's quite the upgrade over the "business" of taking out loans you don't intend to pay off.

Where's my money, rg?

I doubt he owes you anything, since you have only made two posts on the forums, both of them off-topic rants about "where's my money?"

Maybe not so off-topic:

867  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] ANACS MS65/66/67 Graded Brass and Silver Casascius Coins on: September 23, 2014, 08:44:37 PM
Prices updated!  Make me an offer!
Great time to get a nice collectible while BTC is low!

I'd got that Series 2 if I had the BTC...

I'd get it if it was 1-1.5btc cheaper Wink

Offers are definitely welcomed!!!  I thought I priced it to sell since yours were priced at 20!  Shocked

Updated the price of the S2

I was talking about the brass one! I wouldn't sell another silver for under 20.

873  Other / Meta / Re: Should domain name auctions have a separate subforum? on: September 19, 2014, 08:29:47 PM
I don't think creating more policework for the mods is the best solution either.

Domains-only subforum is silly, we can all agree, because it sets us up for an endless supply of ____-only subs every time someone gets annoying.

Maybe there's enough volume in Auctions these days that we can mimic the setup of the Goods sub:

Auctions (main sub)
Auctions>Digital Goods
Auctions>Computer Hardware

I think this would at least stave off the problem at hand for a while, and potentially encourage more activity overall.
874  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 0.5 BTC Casascius Coin 2013 ANACS MS-64 on: September 19, 2014, 03:06:13 PM
I'll offer .7btc shipped international with nubbins as escrow.

PM me. You will have to pay some upfront so as to cover shipping fee.

Highly unusual. First time I've seen a seller require this Smiley
875  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 0.5 BTC Casascius Coin 2013 ANACS MS-64 on: September 18, 2014, 03:03:43 PM
I will offer .68 btc, shipped, either you send first or we use escrow.

That's kinda less. We can do 0.75. I wont send first as I need money for airmail too :O

Noobs not sending first probably isn't gonna fly... I can escrow for you guys if you like, PM for details.

I would be very surprised if you sell that 0.5 coin for 16 BTC Grin.

I was very surprised when I sold a non-graded one for 13.5 Smiley

Collectibles: people like to collect 'em. Who knew. Smiley

EDIT: Incidentally, I've recently come to learn that in addition to the condition ratings (MS-*, etc), you can use the Sheldon Scale for describing rarity:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coin_grading#Rarity_factor
http://varietynickels.com/pages/other-numismatic-information/rarity-system.php

The Series-2 0.5 silvers would fall under the R5 category; the next most rare Casascius coin would be the 1000btc gold coin, with a rating of R7. The next most common would be both varieties of 10BTC coin, with a rarity of R3.

The more you know Cheesy
879  Other / Meta / Re: Should domain name auctions have a separate subforum? on: September 17, 2014, 01:58:03 AM
I agree, too many subforums will fragment everything too much.

Sinecoin / liteon / 1Referee / etc, can you guys maybe combine all your auctions into a weekly post or something?
880  Other / Meta / Should domain name auctions have a separate subforum? on: September 17, 2014, 01:15:43 AM
Subject says it all. I used to like browsing this sub, now it's unusable.
