Hi guys, I just checked my records, and both of your packages were sent out on July 13. This was more than a month ago I apologize for how long the packages are taking; apparently "surface mail" is much slower than I expected. The shirts are on the way, but I understand if you're uncomfortable with waiting for so long. If you like, I can return your funds to you, and you can send them back to me when you receive your packages. I trust that they'll arrive: the big question is when. Thanks for your patience so far; I've learned a lot about shipping from this group buy. Please let me know what you think.

Actually that's not bad at all. I especially like that they have their cocks (as very few English speaking laughable prudes know these days, pretty much all heraldic animals had a cock, even the bird-like ones).
Heraldic cocks are actually an interesting topic. Certainly, 500 years ago the cock was viewed in a very different light; more than a few young women must have looked upon such heraldics with dread. I'm sure dissertations have been written on this subject. This would place the shield off-center, sitting to the left.
I'm not sure what the problem you see is, but MP said there's going to be a mask made to help people visually understand so let's wait for that.
Yup. (1024-330)/2=347. Shield will be 17px left of center, following the numbers given. The boars are centered around where the shield should be, but they're not equidistant from the image border. You prolly should work something out with MP over on irc. I'll let the artist know; I'm sure she'll be pleased. What sort of hours does MP keep?

captive customers (Crapple, Craposoft, Craptendo, SEGA etc)
Disappointed that they're not "craptive" customers. Rapidly went downhill after "Craposoft". People who wish to contribute their "commentary" will be mocked mercilessly
But we're having so much fun I'm fairly entertained. If memory serves the only part where you've added anything but noise is the part where you were going to do some work on heraldics a few weeks ago. Am I seeing anything within any sort of timeframe or are you just here to run the mouth?
We both know the answer to that, but I did get one of our artists to ink a quick boar. Thanks for the reminder!

When I was young, there was a game and puzzle shop that I liked to visit. One day, I came across one of those little brain-teaser puzzles. It was called ALCATRAZ, and it consisted of a very strong metal-and-plastic cage, with a large steel ball bearing inside. Your task was to figure out how to remove the ball from the cage, without bending or breaking anything. I struggled with it every time I visited the store for months, and finally saved up enough money to buy the goddamn thing, because inside the packaging was a tiny slip of paper that said "SOLUTION". Upon bringing the puzzle home and tearing open the packaging, I discovered to my dismay that there was but a single sentence on the other side of the SOLUTION paper: "Keep trying". What a piss-off. I eventually solved the puzzle a few weeks later, and was very proud of myself when it happened

I think part of what you are seeing in bitcoin is small business style management and behavior, in an industry that has been traditionally one of big businesses.
Precisely this; it's to be expected, given what bitcoin is and where it came from. There is plenty "wrong" with how things work right now, but I do think it's improving before our eyes. More transparency, scrutiny, and raising of standards will come, no matter how much kicking and screaming it takes.
The amount of kicking and screaming is going to play a large part in determining just where this train is taking us. I invite you to contemplate a universe in which MPOE-PR's forum nickname is WorldBank-PR or IMF-PR.

I will not trust someone who behaves like a little kid - I deal in currencies, and I expect professional business attitude when dealing with it.
This. So many public figures in bitcoin simply do not have attitudes that match their responsibilities. Boorish "fund managers" and "CEOs" squabbling and tossing insults in public forums, oblivious to their loss of dignity, holding huge "buy me" signs while shouting obscenities at whoever is willing to offer an opinion. A lot of this can be chalked up to a lack of exposure to the real, actual, grown-up business world, where people are civil to each other, and are able to do their job without freaking out or searching for arguments. If you walked into a bank to open an account, and the teller said "good thing you didn't go with those fucking morons across the street", you'd be shocked. You wouldn't trust them with your money. Here in bitcoin land, you can have a hardware manufacturer or an exchange owner call its customers fucking morons, and nobody even cares. It's a truly amazing spectacle.

I think thestringpuller must have the highest text volume per post of anybody at this form, by a wide margin.
Probably the highest signal to noise ratio as well. I don't give a fuck about MMORPGs, but I find myself following this thread and reading every word.

I've seen more than a few people kick up a stink about blade prices, not realizing that a lot of the numbers they're seeing are down payments.
I've also seen a stink about the price being too high. People either believe in free markets or they don't. Are they selling out? Yes then the price isn't too high. If the price is too high then they won't be able to move units at that price and they will lower the price. Right now ASICMiner faces minimal competition. Avalon has sold a lot of chips but not a lot of complete units. If/when Avalon board builders start to sell in bulk and <gasp> even have units available for immediate delivery ASICMiner will be forced to lower their price ... or they won't sell anything. Trust the power of open fair markets people. There will indeed be a market battle. The question is how intense it will be and when we will reach a relatively stable equilibrium. In my opinion, there's still a long way to go before the market price falls down to the same magnitude to the margin cost. Before that, all ASIC vendors would be quite profitable.
Sad that AM prices are too high? Blame BFL and Avalon.

I would suggest using a more understandable date format, the "mm/dd/yyyy" is quite insane to anyone who is not used to it. If you do not want to switch to "dd/mm/yyyy" that would be understandable, but there are alternatives, such as "yyyy/mm/dd", or at worst "mon dd yyyy" (i.e. the months in letters instead of numbers).
yyyy-mm-dd is the ISO standard.
