901  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: November 20, 2014, 03:58:09 PM

I would deposit around 60-100 XMR every month, to bet on German Bundesliga and Champions League, if you would add Monero.

[1] = http://www.sec.gov/News/PressRelease/Detail/PressRelease/1370541972520#.VG2IgZOG_Vk

(Ich hab mich nicht zu Swarm oder XCP informiert, ich frag halt einfach mal in die Runde rein.)

But what does it interest DirectBet if CN codebase has be vetted long or not?
If CN fails (no one uses it) or is exploited DB will just deactivate CN-deposits.

+ alot of experts vouch for CN solidness and good fundamentals
+ its not like CN is very, very new and since two weeks open source, the code went public in March, we have late November now
+ Darkcoins big changes to Bitcoin-codebase arent vetted long either

Still think the best solution is to implement both. Maybe do Dark first and XMR 3 weeks later.

I came back to this thread because of Michelle Jenneke.

as a real player here I voted for PeerCoin because it's one that I actually use, Possibility of PeerCoin winning with things going like this are "nonexistent" though.
No hate, no diss. But when or where (at which merchant) do you actually use PeerCoin?
911  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 19, 2014, 08:35:21 PM
tl;dr

Will there ever be a party?

How many core-dev ANC has?
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin fails, all cryptos fail? on: November 19, 2014, 08:22:30 PM
Can we define failure of Bitcoin as "market cap below 50% of total market cap of the crypto industry"? It still wouldn't be a failure though, but we need a starting point of sorts to be able to tell that it's started to decline. Anyway, let me know what you think on these two points: what "Bitcoin failed" means for you and why if that technically happens would it be fatal for other cryptos if indeed you think it would be fatal for other cryptos?
Worst case
Bitcoin really failed, if the falls under 50% market share of crypto industry and the new leader is a Crypto-Coin owned/controlled by goverment or inter-goverments like EU, UN, OSCE, USA or NATO.

Pretty bad case
A fuck corporate controlled and manipulated coin like Stellar or Ripple or whatever takes over.

Stupid/bad case
A whatever-based legitimate but unfair-distributed crypto-coin takes over
(like an NXT or any other coin with unfair or manipulated ICO or distribution)

Neutral/good case
I) A non bitcoin-based legitimate coin takes over. Like an fair-distributed CryptoNote-based, fair-distributed NXT-based, ...
or
II) A fair-distributed legitimate bitcoin-based coin like Darkcoin or Litecoin (unlikely) takes over
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin fails, all cryptos fail? on: November 19, 2014, 06:33:06 PM
Realistically speaking, Bitcoin can't fail. It's not like all the services and all merchants adopting it would stop doing so in a second. Bitcoin has gone too far to fail now.
yeah, i share this

a major flaw seems also impossible to me [1], because its software, it will be fixed and it will be fixed very fast (because of the vetted intrests)

[1] = even when quantum cryptography is finally broken, we have Post-quantum cryptography ready, PQ crypto is already 20 years old
915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin fails, all cryptos fail? on: November 19, 2014, 06:25:06 PM
I dont think at current stage Bitcoin [1] can not fail anymore, so I won't discuss your question.

[1] = We have end 2014: Just look at this strong support of influential people of Silicon Valley and Wall Street that are committed now to Bitcoin. Or look at this: just about any technology expert, futurologist or innovation researcher has made VERY positive statements about Bitcoin, they cant be all wrong out of the sudden.

916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 19, 2014, 05:54:25 PM
Source?

Oh wait, you just pulled that out of your ass.
Wat? I have no source. But I am sure these murder charges are fake.
Do you believe that? You think he really (tried to) ordered a hitman?
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 19, 2014, 05:44:43 PM
they made up this murder attemps to
a) get him 100% in jail and have him face a long time (if they want)
b) to be able to convict him even if they cant proof SR ownership/drugtrade
918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 19, 2014, 01:24:51 PM
So Tim Draper is the new Max Keiser of bitcoin?  Huh
Just look at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_C._Draper or
http://dfj.com/content/timothy-draper
For my judgement, he and his track record can (and should) be respected.
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 19, 2014, 01:08:26 PM
And we all know people can always be taken at their word, and that people never lie, even when they think it will benefit them.
Yeah, but Tim Draper is not a random dude from the street. He is widely trusted and respected. His word carrys weight and and he has lot's of credibility.
920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 19, 2014, 12:56:15 PM
Sell bitcoin   ≠  dump  ( in a little deal).

Oh my GOD  ......
+100

Annoys me very much, that many people use the words "sell" and "dump" as synonyms today. The word "dump" lost its meaning.
