What if it breaks?  Huh  Cry
What are the generally accepted long term channels at the moment?

It is generally accepted that you should never sell your bitcoins for anything less than a price, which is multiple times of the ATH of the prior boom.

- If Bitcoin is in its growth channel, and you panic sell in the bottom, it will cost you most of your bitcoins when you panic buy at 5-20x higher after realizing you were wrong. (If you panic buy threshold is lower, you end up always buying high and selling low, and diluting your holdings.)

- If it it destroyed, you have no way knowing it and being able to salvage the high point of your value. Salvaging a low point, is meaningless when the same outcome in fiat terms can be achieved by selling a few %-points more in the previous boom.

says the guy who sold most of his Bitcoins to buy a "castle".....

Why the hell do you think he sold most of his Bitcoin to buy a castle? His holdings are in the top echelon.

This guy has a weird obession with Risto, I wouldnt even engage him on the subject if I was you. His hatred for someone who has done him no wrong is almost pathological.

[snip]

My advice then would be to see if a dev is free for you to send your wallet to and see if they can make it work, I would happily do that for you but obviously I understand if you dont trust me.

Your issue is very strange, is that transaction ID found on monerochain.info? I attempted to find it but the screen shot pixelates the numbers too much to read the ID.

O my god, im starting to think Etherum is a guaranteed big ass IPOfloop. I like Vitalik and what he has done thus far but I always had this feeling about Ethereum being something too big for its own that will end up in nothing. God bless the IPO invester's souls.

People can only invest in vapour ware so many times before they realise, in the crypto world people have had plenty of chances to see the test carried out by alts in regards to IPO's. Seems people still need to learn their lesson.

No max supply = no investment from me.
906  Other / Off-topic / Re: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. WTF? on: July 25, 2014, 10:32:21 AM
And another plane was shot, this time Air Algerie, coincidentally the flight was AH5017. e.g the 17.

Have you a source for this? I havent even heard it being shot down mentioned.
907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 25, 2014, 10:28:01 AM
10 k dumped on stamp in 24 hrs, price goes down 20something $.

could be worse, actually

I agree with this, support hasnt particuarly thinned out and the market hasnt gone in to full on retarded dump mode.

The weekend could be a different story but for now all is holding up nicely.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 25, 2014, 10:26:04 AM
Traps, traps everywhere

Just hodl, if you feel compelled to sell its probably too late Wink
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: July 25, 2014, 09:51:55 AM
BTW, why did someone create this release?
What for?
What is his goal?

To increase the value of their investment, why else!
910  Economy / Services / Re: XBTec - campaign terminated on: July 25, 2014, 09:26:30 AM
Well thank god for that. I think its safe to say you will find it hard to recover your reputation after this episode. All for the sake of .1 BTC.

Well at least its over and I never have to do business with you again.

Thanks for paying I guess.

Will the support hold?

Same situation with the last time you posted a support line, the market is far too immature.

That being said there are alot of people looking to buy in and the sell pressure isn't really increasing its just random dumps and people not bidding and letting their buy be filled. The dumpers run out of coins and we move back up. This is a very fair range to be in anyway.

I agree that the market is very erratic, but people DO look at charts (otherwise, there would be no nood for publishing the charts).
Some of theose patters are important... Self fulfilling prophecy Wink

edit: if we go below 4 mBTC, i'll buy some more

I agree that people look at charts and TA is mostly a self fulfilling prophecy however most people at these early stages are just buying as many as they can really, there's not too much day trading going on due to the lack of real liquidity and lack of historic data, the best you can really do is ride the waves Wink

I think that there is more daytrading than you might expect...
Tell me that this is "just coincidence":

Lets let the third bottom really be a bottom before we start saying things like that Wink

All thats important in under 0.004 is a general buy zone for a lot of people.

Steady as she goes, wheeeee.

Could get interesting on Fenix, first real test of their longs in a while.
913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 24, 2014, 12:22:15 PM
Could the dumps be related to the ethereum ipo launch?

In what sense ?

I dont see how the two could be at all linked ?

The IPO was paid in BTC. The recipient could be dumping them all on an exchange. Seems unlikely though.

Surely you could look at the wallet that the IPO funds were sent to ?
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: July 24, 2014, 12:13:20 PM
I used a 2nd address same story. Copied from a straight line without spaces.
If you copied it from bitcointalk there is a non-visible space near the end of the address.

No, copied straight from the .address.txt wallet file. Same procedure worked many times before.

As said then contact the exchange its not really a protocol issue that the exchange wont accept a valid address.

Maybe its finally time to convert all coins into ripple? It looks like its rising again. Is Mah87 alive? He must be exited.

No doubt if ripple returns to any sort of decent price he will return and tell us all how he traded the downtrend and subsequent reversal like a boss  Cool

I see that both Bittrex and Polo now require Payment ID for whitdrawal. So what's the Payment ID in your simplewallet address? (the "view key" number?) Usually I whitdrew using only the wallet address.

Just leave it blank, its not a requirement its only there if you want to transfer between exchanges.

Pending Whitdrawals...Status: Invalid Address,

that's why I'm asking. I quadruple checked the address.

Sounds weird, you should contact the exchange if your 100% sure of the address. Also double check you haven't copy and pasted any leading spaces in.
