901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i earn a passive income with Altcoins? on: June 11, 2022, 04:58:53 AM
Hi,

i wanted to create a passive income with the crypto.com lending. But they changed their terms, so i would need a lot more money to get the same result as before (with my plan i would get since middle 2025 ~a monthly passive income).

So now i'm on the search for alternatives. What are your ways to generate a passive income with crypto?

I've thought to hodl BTC and ETH. But i could make a passive income with altcoins (doesn't need to be a monthly income every month; but perhaps ~60$/month) with a one time investment. Those earnings i could swap regulary to BTC.
This would be my, let's say 'minimum-idea'. The best would be to generate a passive monthly income. If you have some ideas for that where i don't need a million or so dollar to realise it, would be even greater  Cheesy

Thanks,
dissi_xD
The only way I can see is through staking your altcoins (if it does support staking). Or you can use other platforms to store your coins and get a % of profit every day. It is usually between 4% to 8% (APY). Though you should be aware of the risks and know that once you send your coins to those platform, the coins are no longer your own. If anything happens, there is a chance you will lose everything!
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 11, 2022, 04:55:22 AM
Nowadays, there are a lot Bitcoin gamblers who are hoping to earn big in a short period of time. But the majority of the community are not aware and don't have any idea regarding about the advantages and disadvantages of this industry. That is why I'd like to discuss this matter to show what I had discovered in the Bitcoin gambling.

BITCOIN GAMBLING ADVANTAGES FOR PLAYERS

1. It is decentralized.
2. It is secure.
3. It is private.
4. It is fast.
5. It is not subject to inflation.
6. It is not always taxed
7. Bitcoin has (had) low transaction fees.

1. It is but once you send your coins to the casino, you are sent it to the centralized wallet.

2. Security depends on the casino.

3. Not anymore if you have to pass KYC for playing.

4. And sometimes very slow!

6. It is always taxed. You choose not to disclose your assets and earnings.

7. Not always.

4.It is untraceable
Not really. Bitcoin is pseudonymous. Not anonymous. And since you will provide your ID to the casino, it can be traced back to you.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: June 11, 2022, 04:51:29 AM
This had been the main issue in online gambling.  Minors had been flocking to the online Casino site without any restrictions.  They can blatantly access gambling sites with their parents' cards, fake their identities and so on.  Germany does tackle this issue seriously and recently German Commission for the Protection of Minor in the Media (KJM). had a deal with Incode Technologies, a US-based specialist in biometric identity for the age verification solution.[1]

The German government is very inclined that it will help greatly in protecting minors because of its advanced technology.

-snip-

Quote
Incode Technologies, a US-based specialist in biometric identity, has its age verification solution approved by the German Commission for the Protection of Minor in the Media (KJM).

‘Legal Certainty’ to Providers
The age verification solution provided by Incode Technologies verifies users against data from their ID cards, comparing their image on the card with a real-time selfie.

The technology facilitates the age verification process by providing guidelines to ensure the optimum scan of the ID card and photo of the user and once complete, the service performs tests to confirm authenticity and issues a score.

But I still wonder if this kind of technology is effective enough for those minors who use their parent's access accounts to gambling sites.  Will this be able to detect such action?  Will this kind of technology can trully protect minors and prevent them to access gambling sites?

[1] https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/incodes-age-verification-approved-for-protecting-minors-in-germany/
If the minors steal IDs from their parents, doesn't that mean that their parents aren't actually monitoring them as they should? Shouldn't the parents be blamed for this and not the casino. It is the responsibility of the parents to know what their kids are doing.

Anyway, most casino will require them to hold their ID and take a selfie. They won't be able to do that. Initial verification might not require that, but they eventually will have to.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 10, 2022, 04:19:57 AM
I am confused that there are meme coins whose prices are sky rocketing but I dont see any real value these meme coins are providing
Nothing. No value. The prices go up when they get hyped. The prices go up when they are trending. Once the hype and trend goes away, the price crashes very badly. And then once again, a new hype is created to pump the price. The bring useless updates like "burning portal" or "NFTs" or "metaverse" to bring back those hype. Most of them don't even proceed/work on the roadmap while others fail. And then look at twitter, lot's of people shilling for those meme coins.
Meme coins have no value. It is the trend, hype and community that keeps it alive.
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2022, 03:02:28 AM
I have come to realize that mostly on daily basis, petty traders; hawker stall, street vendors, street hawkers, market men and women, kiosks do transactions often and frequently and they are not amongst the top class citizens in the society. Some are uneducated and are not anywhere near technology to get acquainted with blockchain and Bitcoin. I believe if they are informed and have knowledge about Bitcoin properly they will want to key into it so as to save themselves of unnecessary stress and expenses from banks and other groups.
What's your opinion in educating these petty traders and letting them know more about Bitcoin because  I believe this is amongst the grassroot adoption which starts from the base as they do transact more often than some of the big companies we hear of. Although the petty traders do little amount but it is most often on daily basis.
What steps would you take in drawing the attention of the traders to Bitcoin?
I don't think it is suitable for them to use bitcoin. They are small sellers and do transactions frequently. Unless both the seller and the buyer uses the same centralized wallet/service (which then destroys the purpose of using bitcoin), it is not worth waiting for the confirmation time. Again, the fees might sometimes be half of what they purchasing.

Bitcoin is good, but not suitable for everything.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New altcoins you can invest on. on: June 10, 2022, 02:41:57 AM
All three coins that you have mentioned aren't even known by most of the people. Those coins are very risky to invest in and high chance are you will end up losing everything. Sure you can try your luck with those new altcoins, but don't go all in. Just a little that you can afford to lose and while investing think that you have already lost all your money there.
Why not invest in well known altcoins and bitcoin?
907  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake and primedice are the worst gambling sites on: June 09, 2022, 06:15:00 AM
I still don't know why people are making stake and pd look like the best dice sites when they are actually the worst.
1. They do not give you loss back.

2. The top high rollers are fake meaning you will never win first place Or the fake lotteries.

Why are people hyping these useless sites when these sh*t things they do are obvious.
And yes some clueless or paid supporters will come trying to refute this claim. And I will ignore them like I ignore plagues.  Grin
And for people talking about my bad rep , it was given to me my Dean Nolan of the number one scamming site betking. I told people he was a scam and the site will run with their money and some Id..ots like the ones attacking me here attacked me saying he was credible and the site is credible. Most of them where paid to do so. Today beking ran with millions of dollars people invested. I don't care if I get 1million bad reps from paid casino puppets, I will keep saying my sht as it is. Stake and pd are overated and worst sites in crypto gambling

If you think they are scamming people or doing shady stuffs, then why not create a proper scam accusation thread and expose them? Or are you only making some baseless accusations? I can see from your trust feedback that you were trying to blackmail a casino...

And why would a high roller want to keep his profile public? I doubt wouldn't like it too when you are a high roller and others start stalking your profile.
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I saved myself from missing a Presentation with Bitcoin on: June 09, 2022, 05:51:21 AM
Well at least you were able to pay him with bitcoin. Why no carry fiat cash with you? Even though I use my card most of the time, but I always carry some hard cash with me. You never know when you will need it. Did he wait for any network confirmation or did was happy to accept with 0 network confirmation?
‌therefore, After this several attempts I had no option than to use the nearest ATM, when I slotted my card I eventually got my account

debited without getting paid all was as result of my bank having network issues, I was really fustrated at the moment and I said

‌"this is why I like Bitcoin" , the guy replied and said are you a "Bitcioner" ?
-snip-
You wouldn't say the same thing if the bitcoin network was congested. The slow network confirmation time along with absurd fee would have put you off. Imagine paying $20 in fee for a $40 ride.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 08, 2022, 06:13:10 AM
recently I've come across some information for an upcoming soccer match and I'd like to place a big bet of 50-100k, how easy would it be for me to take out a loan and how long would it take? has anyone else done something like this?

feel free to message me or comment below  Smiley
Gambling is already a risk and taking loan will increase your risk even further. What if the information you received is false? You will end up losing all and it is going to be really hard for you to pay the loan. And no one is going to give you 50k to 100k loan for gambling. When you take loan from banks, they will want to know what you are going to do with this money and how you are going to repay them. You will also need collaterals to get the loan.
Don't do it. Gamble only what you can afford to lose.
910  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Kill Cryptocurrencies ? on: June 08, 2022, 06:09:31 AM
Are they going to make the central bank digital currencies decentralized? Then yes. But will they? I don't think so. They are never going to so something like this. Decentralization means more power to the citizens which is never going to happen. So no, central bank issued digital currencies are not going to kill crypto currencies. They are like regular fiat currency but with slightly different structure where they use a digital ledger.
911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: June 02, 2022, 05:59:26 AM
Lets assume Guggenheim's Minerd speculation on bitcoin having an ultimate bottom of $8k if it hits $30k referencing the "[U.S. Federal Reserve] being restrictive.”, Currently bitcoin price is below $28k and from the look of things this speculation might and might not be accurate but what if bitcoin price falls to this very dip.

I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
Why sell based on speculation and FUD? Just hold. If the price drops to 8,000 USD, then keep holding. Don't sell anything. As long as you don't sell, you don't lose anything right? When the price falls down to $8,000 USD, just buy more. As much as you can afford to lose. In the long run, you will make some good nice profit.
I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
Probably my altcoins to buy more bitcoins.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime on: June 02, 2022, 05:19:46 AM
Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime. some time gain profit some time loss.i feel any time depression.
Are you talking about you feeling depressed or are you talking about the bear market in crypto currencies? If it is the former, then you shouldn't invest in crypto currencies since it is causing you metal issues. If it is the later, this is how the market work. The crypto currency market is very volatile and you have to get used to this volatility. Look at the charts, in the short run it is very volatile. But in the long run, it will give you profit. So invest, don't look at the price, keep holding and in the long run you will make some good profit.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: June 02, 2022, 12:51:52 AM
You can't just make infinite amount of stable coins and give it to people to remove poverty from the world. How do you even come up with proposals like this? Absurd and makes no sense. Most of the stable coins are backed by something. So no, it won't happen.
Even if it does happen, inflation will take place and you can't buy anything with what you receive. Things will become unaffordable. Compare it with printing money and see how those countries suffered.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good list for longterm investment? on: June 01, 2022, 06:45:50 AM
The top two coins on your list, bitcoin and ethereum is the safest coin for long term investment. Polygon (MATIC) seems to be a safe coin to invest in but do your own research if you are willing to hold for long term. I would say remove APE coin from the list. It's a token with a very high volatility. Look at the chart and you will know what I am saying. The price gets pumped and dumped very often so it's not going to be a good coin for holding long term. Not sure about the rest three.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: May 28, 2022, 07:22:09 AM
Why shouldn't you? Look at the price 10 years ago and see what the current price is (not even telling you to see the all time high). It just went up and up. If you bought some bitcoins back then and held it for a decade, you should have some very nice amount of profit. If you bought every dip, you probably are a millionaire by now.
The bear market isn't coming to an end. You can't say that with hundred percent certainty. Look at the price now. It has already gone down to less than 29,000 USD. Around 5,000 USD less than what you thought the final dip would be.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to struggle hard when you in choise of Payment Gate for Gambling project on: May 28, 2022, 04:46:54 AM
Why would they have to use a thirdparty payment gateway when they can use crypto currencies? If they are using fiat, yeah, then it's their disadvantage and they have to struggle with the payment gateways and pay those massive fees when funds enter or moves out of the casino.
That's why most online casinos and players now prefer to use crypto currencies. No need for any third party payment gate way. They can set their own wallet within few minutes and start accepting payments without issue.
917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ever heard of this "buy at dip and be rich in the future" on: May 28, 2022, 03:45:01 AM
Sure, buy the dip of the coins that has good potential. Not some random altcoins. Buy the dip of bitcoin or ethereum. Just don't buy the dip of random shitcoin "because they might" get pumped. High chance you will end up losing everything. Once you buy the dip, you won't get rich over night. Keep holding them for long term. If the price falls further, buy more if you can afford, but don't sell. You don't lose anything as long as you don't sell.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything stop on: May 27, 2022, 05:39:27 AM
You should have thought about this before you invested in Luna. You should never invest your lifesavings in crypto currencies. Always invest what you can afford to lose and never invest everything you have specially in volatile altcoins. Bitcoin and other top well known altcoins like Ethereum that has been in the crypto space for years with strong community and active development team are always safer than other altcoins.
Hope you recover soon and have learnt a lesson from this. Don't stop investing, start again, but this time be more smart.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 27, 2022, 05:10:47 AM
Can an old casino that's very active here in Bitcointalk, through support, forum advertising, and signature campaign, suddenly pull the plug and stop doing all these things can still keep and still maintain its position in the market.
A case study is Bitvest and 777Coin we know that Lightlord was sick and now he is well and comes back from time to time but not doing the same thing they're doing for many years.
Why wouldn't they be able to attract users and build up reputation without signature campaigns? There are many casinos out there that doesn't use signature campaign or the forum to advertise, but they are doing fine. This forum is a good start to build up reputation among crypto users, but there are other better sources to advertise and gain more users. People use usually google and look for reviews on different sources. As long as they are advertising there, they will be fine without support or campaign here.
920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: May 27, 2022, 04:30:57 AM
While the market is on a downward trend, Bitcoin the giant of the crypto market has seen a drastic drop, and other altcoins followed the same trend, will we be able to recover, another coin like Luna did a total crash which is so bad for investors.
Altcoin investment was always riskier when compared to bitcoin. During a bear market, the price of altcoin falls much more than that of bitcoin. And then new altcoins are even more volatile. Better to invest in altcoins that has been in the market for years and has a good development team.
Many people predicted how Luna would crash and how UST would fail. The exact thing eventually happened.

In this scenario, can we still trust a high and unpredictable volatile I investment such as altcoin in this bear season?
Nope. You can never trust a "high" and unpredictable volatile investment.
