901  Other / Off-topic / Re: This is why I mute. To curate my experience, and not waste time. on: September 30, 2021, 07:09:51 PM
That said … Bob, I ask you kindly to never delete this thread, even if you go mental again, like you did a while ago. Please & thank you in advance.

I promise I won't go mental again. In fact, I half-suspect there are some who have already started connecting some dots, and know who I likely am in meatspace, but that's another story...

That was a one-time event preceded by almost breaking OpSec, and being extremely displeased with myself... almost "revealing" myself to someone, and having an unforeseen twist happen at a very unfortunate point in time. Was not ready to break OpSec at that time in retrospect, with Rick still being employed.

I learned a sad lesson.

TBH, I'm not likely to ever intentionally break my own OpSec on these forums, and I'll likely never officially confirm or deny my identity (again, no delusions Theymos doesn't know exactly who I am), but given that Rick and I are retired now, who knows what path life takes us down.

I would really love to meet up with at least Elwar if he's ever in the DFW area. I believe cAPSLOCK is near to me, and may already have started putting some pieces together, but anyway... just giving some backstory on why I went temporarily insane.

Now that we're both retired retards, and about to start a new phase of our life together, I'm more inclined to become social in meatspace, but would request my identity remain a mystery, as far as these forums are concerned.

FWIW, I have no idea what cuntonians are, but just to reiterate my earlier point, I don't care, and kinda glad I have certain folk on ignore right now, is all I'm gonna say. Have a good one, frens.

Waitaminit here.

It's an informative site that provides ETH  I N F O R M A T I O N and even the info is being cracked down on?

Hmmmm...

Ser. We can see your fucking shorts. Have a modicum of decency, pls.

EDIT: LOOP channel established and gonna baby it like a little Tamagotchi. Gonna try not to let it get entirely drained this time around... I hope...

Oh and any antioxidant. Pomegranates are my favourite.

Huh. Interesting. Coincidentally, grapefruit juice is my go-to for usual beverage of regular consumption.

Probably drink a half/full-gallon of it per week. Maybe more?...

Every person with some intelligence should now that the model could be invalid at some point…

I just wanted you to know, that I have metaphorically blown my load all over your face, by contributing the max 50 Merit to you, for this period.

Part of me is fucking concerned if I’m honest.

My gut is telling me S2F falls apart soon. In shambles and an afterthought by March 2022.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we should expect a slower rise than some are anticipating.

MemPool Report: Fees have been higher than 1sat to get into a block for over two hours now - still trying to checkpoint a Lightning channel open with LOOP.

Looks to be backed up for at least another hour at 3sat to get in as minimum fee.

I'm in no hurry, but just taking more note of the mempool since I got back into Lightning - so as to minimize on-chain costs - and hasn't been this backed up since I started taking notice of such things, since you assholes dragged me into your Lightning channel party thingy.

Not sure how to interpret this. I know there has been some historical speculation about mempool activity/BTC Price, and I guess I'm just passively noting that speculated correlation.

eg: I can't seem to recognize a reason for the min fee being over 1sat, for as long as it has, vs price activity.

I guess the upside to becoming more involved with running the node, is I'll have a much better sense of the mempool/fee-state as a result of desiring to pay bare minimum on channel opens, which may help give me further insight into any possible price movements.

Haven't paid attention to the mempool/price to the extent that I have lately, and will be curious to see what knowledge I glean. I don't have any interest in going backwards through history to do the research sorta thing...

Skip a year or two, it might put some perspective into it? Maybe? I've friends who I have not seen in 10 years, meet them, then don't see them in another 5, but we're still friends. We just don't do much and have our own lives now.

To your point, they are young enough that I'm hoping another 10 years may turn them around, and I can write them back in, if I'm still alive.

They have to convince me they are worthy of inheriting something, and not become complete garbage humans like their father, for how he treated my sister, and using the children as weapons against her.

That shit has dire consequences to me; that nephews will side with their degenerate father over my sister, but that's more info than I should have revealed...

I mean, speaking to degeneracy, I kinda painted myself into a corner there.

We just got back from a family visitation not too long ago, and started to really question whether going out of our way to visit them anymore was good for our mental health and time spent.

EDIT: In Lightning node news, just set up another Wumbo channel with LOOP - Gonna crank the fees way high, and see how that performs... That pretty much ties up the rest of the liquidity I have put into the node, unless I load up another coin. Not in a particular hurry at this time.

Reading good things about El Salvador adoption/use steadily rising

Sad day…. Lost one of my very best friends today, a dog and it’s unconditional love.
A day where I really learn what pain is.

One of our kitties is getting sick, and possible end-of-life scenario.

Have lost nearly 10 fur-children of ours over the years, and it never gets easier. Always hurts just as hard and raw every time.

The feels... My heart goes out to you.

WO is better because it's family.  It has a ridiculous preponderance of weird uncles, but it's still family.

My experience with family is a bit different.

Blood doesn't matter.

I've disinherited family from my estate.

Even family can be absolute garbage human.

In any case, there's no need for name calling, especially between WO regulars. IMHO.

In my defense, I can't help myself when I see something absolutely retarded, in a place I enjoy investing time in, and say "OMG that's retarded. Howcanyouevenevenrightnow? <BLOCKD LIKE aLySsA MiLaNo YO>"

 Fucking snowflakes.

EDIT: /s

Wanted to make sure the /s was explicitly stated for those that don't get the joke/reference

Ignore Lists are like mute buttons. I prefer to see everything and use my scroll wheel.

I get this point in theory.

In practice, time is opportunity cost. I want to maximize my funtime here, and part of that involves curating my experience, much like I do with muting/blocking accounts on Twitter (where I fucked off to, during my absence here)

There are some people I will never agree with, and don't care to read their opinions/content, because it literally is a waste of my time, and a net-negative in my life, so I prefer to curate my experience to optimize time.
916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2021, 05:22:54 AM
I saw, (and still see) him as an enabler.
This made me very disappointed in him and made me loose a lot of my respect for him.
There's always at least one different view, on any topic. There's no harm done by trying to see it/them as well.

For what it's worth, I'm disappointed with myself, too.

Not sure what I'm enabling, but just need to shrug this off as Arrie and myself not mixing together well.

To be honest, I don't care for or want anyone's respect. I'm just here to have fun. Kinda have a bit of a fresh perspective since taking a break from here and coming back.

I could be an Irishman with dwarfism, working as a foreign government plant, that's been tasked with interacting with this website as an information gathering OP for all you know.

I might even be a woman.

The point is this is a self moderating thread and if the majority doesn't want covid crap talk then we should respect that and use a location that Bob generously setup for us.
I really can't see why you would be so dense as to have to have that explained to you.

To be fair, I was deleting his posts and denying him an outlet - a poor, rash decision that I apologize for, in retrospect; have corrected - and should not be an issue moving forward for Arrie (or any other person on my ignore list, for that matter - unless I get reports they are shitting the place up)

Shit, I even engaged JJG for the first time in, like, I can't remember when.

Furthermore, I do want to clarify, that WO casuals do have an implied welcome to post.

The "No Hat? Fuck Off!" is simply one layer of a loose filter system - if there is meaningful contribution by an outsider, I don't see the point of deleting it - same as if an outsider came in here and made an insightful post.

Anyway, looking like corn going into NGU mode...

Well I coulda said Sub...

Are you offering?

Gotta go through Rick first.

He doesn't fight fair. The little shit...

I just want you to be aware I see what you are doing here, and find it petty, given my mea culpa.

it's clear that Bob has not used his titanium plates in a while, he has become a scared little sissy, like many other of you.

 Wow.

 Just, wow.

This is a no-brainer Ignore for Arrie.

Ain't got time for that level of retard.

Thing is, with my "Ignore List ? Can't see your text, which means I delete your post" rule update - Arrie can't even post in my thread now.

 Stupid asshole.

Test. Cheesy
920  Other / Off-topic / Re: [WO/Hat-Gang Only - MODERATED] The fucking COVID vax thread (No hat? Fuck off!) on: September 28, 2021, 06:58:41 PM
I don't see any evidence that you, Bawb, have enforced the need for a hat rule, and of course, that is up to you, even though it seems a bit of a weird prerequisite for posting in a thread that is "in the WO spirit". but whatever, it's your thread, and you do you.

Again, only unignoring and responding because I'm moderating this thread, and feel inclined to defend myself.

If a non-hatter contributes something substantive and interesting to the thread, brave enough to post here, and survive my scrutiny, I'll give them a pass.

Passive WO-posters get an implied, automagic free pass, as "we are familiar with them".

I was not aware of the content the non-hatter posted earlier in this thread, hence the pass.

Now please go back to sniffing the bouquet of your own flatus and please stop wasting my time with your petty, pointless snipes.

 Be better for fuck sakes.

 You can't.

That's why I have you ignored.
