921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 19, 2020, 09:01:46 PM
During the time that they both are paying well, airdrop use to be the fastest way to get crypto but they don't pay more than participating in bounty campaign that used to be lengthy but at the end of the day you get to earn a lot of money. However, this days non is recommended because a lot of then won't end up well. Some are scam while some will not even make the exchange
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: April 19, 2020, 08:56:25 PM
Well you need to understand stable coins specifications well.

Stable coins are not a form of trading markets; to me, stable coins are a store of wealth so that either today or 10 years time your 99.99$ will remain 99.99$.

Traders most time convert their profits to Stable coins.
While investor hodl stable coins while waiting for an investment opportunity in the altcoins market.

Stable coins are fiats, tusd, busd, usdt etc
They are actually a trading market. Their are many exchange that pair other non stable coin with stable one e.g BTC/USDT I guess you want to say the op cannot make profit for holding stable coin but they can actually profit from it when they are traded with other crypto that they are being paired with.
923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading strategy on: April 19, 2020, 05:53:54 PM
I strongly believe there is no strategies that doesn't have limitations but sharing such strategy will also help some of us that are still learning to trade well and will allow us to compare strategies. I would love to know the coin you are trading
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2020, 02:56:42 PM
Maybe but it is quiet going to be difficult to see any coin that will overtake bitcoin. People still believe bitcoin being around before others is more transparent and decentralized than any other altcoin. In fact there are categories of some people who still dont know there are other crypto apart from bitcoin. it will be very hard but nothing is impossible
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Minereum- Another Ponzi Scheme ? on: April 19, 2020, 02:50:34 PM
I am just wondering if no one on their telegram group have really testifying to getting his/her money after paying the fee to upgrade or has anyone also complain of not getting access to his/her balance after paying the upgrading fee. If no one, I guess everyone is afraid to take the risk making it difficult to conclude that the project is a scam. We need people to testify that they are being scammed and if we see anyone, Livecoin too should be tag as an exchange that support scam project just like DOBI and co
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: April 19, 2020, 02:37:19 PM
What you predicted is currently happening. A lot of people do not think crypto price will rise at this period of global pandemic and since we are back in above 7k for bitcoin, we have started seen a new floods of speculations. Either Bear or Bull runs, crypto market have convincingly let many of us know that it is quiet hard to predict what we happen in the future
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We'll know Satoshi Nakamoto when the time comes on: April 19, 2020, 02:33:17 PM
I just believe this issue about identity of Satoshi Nakamoto will one day result into people claiming to be him to scam people if this has not started happening already. People are so much obsess about knowing the real identity of this guy. If he shows up today, what do you intend to gain from that ? he had already done what he wanted it is better you let his name rest.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the dream of crazy on: April 19, 2020, 02:28:58 PM
This is quiet sad. I guess you must have put yourself together for sharing this story. I discovered that a lot of people that have negative thought about crypto are generally those that are either scammed by participating in ponzi scheme or those that could not forgive themselves when they could have made fortune in crypto. I got to know about crypto around 2012 when I also used to participate in ponzi scheme. Not quiet long before Liberty Reserve was shutdown. I even downloaded the desktop wallet. Then it used to be available on blockchain.info. During this period, I didnt understand what it is and how it works and I do not bother to make research on it. To me, I saw the bitcoin wallet I downloaded as a mere software not different from many other ones I have installed. I think the problem most of us have is inability to sit down and do research on things and discover I that could have impacted our life in years to come. If you and I could have gone further and discover what exactly crypto was, maybe we would have been a billionaire by now

I read somewhere here on BTT about a thread someone created long time ago, willing to buy ordinary pizza with thousands dollar worth of bitcoin, If the person knows what bitcoin will become, do you think I would ever wanted to buy a pizza with huge amount of BTC ?
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best stories about your crypto experience on: April 19, 2020, 10:51:53 AM
There were a lot of things, and fraud, with fake ICOs, and by stupidity, I once gave a person on the exchange 0.052 BTC who promised to double them at the expense of DICE, despite the fact that before that he had done this for about 10 people, but I and a couple of people got nothing . But then 0.052 BTC was $ 40, and they were not particularly sorry, but now there is such a feeling. But to learn from mistakes, it’s better that way.
This is purely how HYIP operates. People that join the scheme early may get back their money and profit while those that join lately lose everything. I think it is about the tactics those scammers use. They also have the target in term of money they wanna make so they keep on paying people until they make their own target and immediately shut down the deal.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google has removed 49 cryptocurrency wallet browser extensions! Good move? on: April 19, 2020, 10:46:04 AM
It is a good move and kudos to google for taking such decision. I have seen a lot of people complaining about how their fund is being stolen by using wallet browser extension. I hate to see people giving crypto a bad name due to what they heard or see and I strongly believe this will reduce this even though there are some crypto browser extensions that are not develop to steal private keys
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why bitcoin is unique. on: April 18, 2020, 07:36:12 PM
Do not be a surprise this could be one of those high influential tech giant owners that will always paint crypto bad publicly both go underneath to hodl huge amount of dollars in bitcoin. No way you can transfer such huge amount of money in banks without paying a huge fees and this is one of the benefit of using crypto. You get to pay little to move big money
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Or Not? on: April 18, 2020, 03:08:19 PM
If I were you, I will rather focus on checking what must have influenced the price. Generally, more demand for a particular token is what raise the price. Is the project achieved a particular milestone that makes people want to buy the token from those market ?. If nothing like that occur, I will rather conclude that it is a coordinated pump
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum going upwards brace yourself, and simply hodl now. on: April 18, 2020, 03:02:56 PM
For the past few days now, things have been rosy for ETH and bitcoin and the prices have been moving up and just few minutes ago, the ETH hit above 180 dollars even though we are in weekend in which volume trading use to be reduced. Hopefully there will not be a major correction so that in the coming week, ETH can be projected to reach 200 dollars
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 18, 2020, 01:31:07 PM
I think a lot of people that expect the price to skyrocket will be disappointed and there may be not quiet price surge at the period people are expecting due to the halving. However, I am very certain some miners will stop mining due to unprofitability while some that can afford and pay less for electricity will increase their mining farm.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this the best time for Bitcoin? on: April 18, 2020, 01:27:24 PM
I hope you understand some payment options such as paypal, VISA and Mastercard can also be used and many online and offline stores accept all these more than cryptocurrency. While at this period, the use of fiat currencies are not encouraged other means of payments are being consider except some merchant that have long history of accepting crypto
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig W. only claims to be Satoshi, because he knows the real Satoshi is dead? on: April 18, 2020, 01:19:34 PM
If he knows about the probable death of satoshi, I am very sure he is not the only person that knows about that and this secret must have long be broken. I just think the guy is playing mind game and maybe there is more to the character he is currently playing probably a move to see if the real satoshi will come out to rubbish the guy's claim
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: April 14, 2020, 07:33:34 PM
Research in Artificial intelligence, gamification and blockchain technology are already being taught in university across Europe you can find some of the universities that teaches this on https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.masterstudies.com/Masters-Degree/Blockchain-Technology/amp/ so I think it is not new anymore
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheating or Not? on: April 14, 2020, 07:27:57 PM
I believe this is not new and a lot have been discuss here on the forum. Now in as much as the manager have stated at the end of the campaign that the term and condition of the campaign can be changed, I don't see it as scam because sometime dev team might decide to change what have said earlier to suit the project and sometime this is used to reduce the number of token to be allocated to hunters
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATOKEN, Probit, What else? on: April 14, 2020, 01:24:59 PM
I think those exchanges need to take some research or action before allowing any project for IEO. They shouldn't always think about money but for reputation also. I can remember once Latoken was good for a new project now it's good for the shit project. Probit also making fake trade and volume for the project listed there. I think that's not a work of good exchange.
The truth is that most of them cannot survive without IEO because they need the money to maintain the platform and since they have low traders that trade actively on their platform, they shifted to accepting massive project for IEO with the hope of getting money and probably getting some regular traders. Probit use to be a bit better than latoken but I have no doubt they will also become worse soon
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another Exchange got hacked on: April 14, 2020, 01:20:20 PM
If big exchange like Binance were hack, small exchanges is more vulnerable to hacking, at the end of the day it's just all about the security and its insurance, if the site have an insurance feature then traders if ever they lose their money, they will be refunded, just like what Binance did.

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bisq/ , it's a small exchange with less than a million trading volume, I think they are in trouble with the money they loss.
But I am not sure if this exchange will do the same thing as binance by returning all the money that has been lost. For that I prefer to use binance because even though hacked but my money is still returned
That is the benefit of trading with big exchange with binance. They have made fortune and have capacity to offer such when there is security bridge compare some small exchange that are still upcoming. I doubt if cryptopia did the same for their traders when they got hacked few years ago. I got lucky to have withdrawn my $1.2k before it was hacked
