I know it's off topic, but does anyone see BTC testing the $1200 range again?  To me looks like it crushed long time resistance lines... Also I think this could be the beginning of the China global economic meltdown...  By October I believe we are in for a world of shit again with the global economy thanks to China.
That would be a great boost for the crypto movement

Anything is possible with the BTC price but I doubt $1200, Tend to agree that China is going to tank here shortly.

Looks like BTC still ripping it up!  Prediction might not be far fetched in a couple more months.
what the hell happened to ETH.  I never invested...but geeez 30% down or more is crazy.

Have you not heard?

I know this is off topic, but what does everyone think of the DAO hack?

Pretty big news

Well its not like i never saw that coming! lol

Doesnt surprise me one little bit.

I agree, if NEM takes off in Asia, it will spread global.

How cool will it be to go on ebay or amazon and use dragonfly instead of paypal?

You won't see DF as a payment gateway. The very basis of DF's business is to provide the platform for these providers to use. It may very well be FB or Amazon itself that will just use the solution directly. Blockchain is a disruptor and a disintermediating technology.

OK, interesting, i thought thats essentially what dragonfly pay was!!
Sounds like its alot bigger than that.

NEM market cap. went over 20M USD.   Cheesy

+1 just saw that today! Grin

Looks like an all time high.   Grin
In $NZD, a NEMstake is currently worth $8166

Im killing myself i did not buy more than one stake!

I remember I bought a stake for 16k Nxt.

Should've just sold all my Nxt for NEM =)

Wish i did too, but at that time i thought NXT was going to outperform NEM.
My stake cost me the same 16K NXT.

I think rough estimate would be around two years from now . People are so naive right now that changing the way banking system right now is like a financial meltdown. around 85% of the world's population don't want to embrace the technological revolution that bitcoins is bringing. Part of it blames to dark sides when transacting bitcoins. There are so many what if's out there.  Give 2 years timetable . Help educate government that blockchain technology has a real potential.

not a bad estimate:

Hopefully based on Mijin/Nem :-)
I see the word "FIntech" mentioned there, i wonder if that has any ties to Dragonfly Fintech?

I think your taking into account all the money that Arteleis has spent on Silkcoin in total and not what he has paid me. It simply sounds like you have your wires crossed. Yes he has spent a lot of money, taken loans out to fund stuff, but this was before I was on the scene.

Thats right, this was a good couple of years ago now.

In fact, next week is almost exactly 2 years to the day that the devs abandoned the project.

We have come along a good way now and i hope that Trak4UBitl can see this and grab some SILK while its still cheap!  Grin

So Trak, if Arteleis is the one who pissed in your Cheerios, wouldn't he be the one you'd want to go after???  That being said, that is setting all other things aside in this forum...

Sounds like he was the main one that influenced you from what you posted and you made a choice base on conversations with him.

Did you talk to anyone else in the development team?  Or did you just dive right in...  Maybe you should have chatted with the whole team?

Sounds to me like Aterleis told you things that weren't totally on the marker?

Nope arteleis was the developer who appears to have been railroaded by this team.  And yes he is the reason I am here. And why I get more and more pissed off Everytime I read more lies.  But your right.  Arteleis maybe was a liar too.  Which makes things worse.

Spencer did arteleis not pay you a shitload of money to develop Silkcoin? Why are you here and why is he not? Doesn't make sense like I said to shut down the thread because of me.. he seemed a troll killer and I admired him.. this is far beyond money now though.  Entirely principle and good old eye for an eye Christian values.

Your quote of mine shows that I said we have access to SilkCoinTemple, maybe not directly but through PalmD, Bishop or Arteleis.

Arteleis donated a living amount of btc per week for 6 months from April last year to me weekly/biweekly. I am here because I believed that the community deserved an honest developer and team that I could bring to the table. He has vanished after his last post on the old thread and no-one I know has heard from him since, also no-one has the faintest idea why he has disappeared.

Also, for the record, Arteleis is not a developer.

It may appear I am sometimes talking in circles, reiterating the same thing in a different way, but this is simply because we don't want to let every idea out and give up the game.

Arteleis was not a developer? Fuck man.. go back to the thread when silk died and he saved it.. get your head out of your ass.. not only did he save this coin.. he paid you a shitload of money to develop it..  which you now say is dead and you never received a dime..  you gave no idea who I am and how many conversations I've had with him! Stop lying bro!

I am not lying. He isn't a developer, otherwise he would of done it himself, surely? He has paid me a few thousand dollars for 6 months and now after about 9/10 months since I last got payment I am still working on it. I also didn't say I never received a dime or said it was dead. You are right I have no idea who you are as you won't talk to me directly or act publicly. I have multiple witnesses who were around when me and Arteleis spoke and are fully aware of the agreement I had with him, which was to resurrect Silkcoin with a new coin and swap out. But I wanted to take it further with a platform as well. Then it was decided to keep Silkcoin and launch Silk and have a second coin DarkSilk as well. I haven't lied once throughout my time developing, I may of giving some timeframes that were off, but that is all.

A few thousand dollars eh? Only ten times off what he told me bro.. stop lying... I really hope he responds to my messaged eventually..  as currently you're calling the developer of silkcoin a liar.  As you've stated clearly.  You are not the developer of silkcoin and it it is entirely up for grabs. Res nullius

I wish I had been paid that amount, I also hope he replies, However there is an active user in the thread that will reply when reading this as he was about when Arteleis made the deal with me, when he was paying me and was actively talking to Arteleis throughout that time. So I will be interested to see what both have to say about your claims. For the record I have had Arteleis donate me around $200 per week for a 6 month period which equates to around $4800. There may of been a few times he sent me BTC as I had no money after paying rent so I could eat, but trust me, I am not lying.

Stop lying.

Arteleis was NOT a dev and never professed to! He only ever said that he was learning.
He put alot of his time and money in to this to find devs and get volunteers to work on this coin, he in fact did pay devs himself to get this up and running again.

He was in good contact with me for some time and I worked with him and a couple of new devs to get this wallet back up and working. I did all the graphic design and designed new logos etc.

A lot of money eh? Do you really think I would invest in a conversation where someone paid 3500 bux for dev? That's kids play.  Define developing.  Believe i read you had a lot to do with developing the current client? Or is that also bullshit.  The shit is deep here and the truth is tough to come by.

Mate you are talking crap, except for the part about the current client, yes i did alot of work on the graphics and i still have all the photoshop master templates on my computer to prove it.
Hanz refined it again with a different background and fonts etc, but the current logo is what i designed personally and its still visible on CMC.

Sweet.  Interesting a non-developer developing anything..  or guess spending countless hours on developing logos, buying images, making icons, communicating and tech support has nothing do do with development in addition to paying other people.. how much silk arteleis pay you? You gonna say none too.. or you gonna tell the truth like our compulsive lying dev here..

I did not do it for the money, but he did pay me around 80-100K in silk

the new NEM site looks like crap the designer must of been drunk while coding it. I believe its that guy who worked with Lisk and then Nem. tonyhughesdesign.com is his portfolio.

Utter rubbish! I think the new site is great!  Grin

Can anybody tell if its profitable to run a supernode with the current NEM price?

The more nodes, the less payout, but if there is about 100 nodes, that would equate to around 700 XEM a day.
So about $30 per month at that rate with the current exchange rate, i think someone was saying.
I think there would be probably more than 100 nodes running very soon.
Thanks. And do you know how much would it cost to run a supernode-able VPS?

Im trying to work that out myself too.
I may just switch to another ISP instead.

It doesnt really matter what "profit" you make monthly, think about what your XEM will be worth in another 5 years...
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: June 04, 2016, 05:41:10 AM
FXT (staking token) will be distributed at a 1:1 ratio
FNX (transaction token on the first child chain) will be distributed at a 1:0,5 ratio.

Both will have a 1 billion supply

OK, but as i understand both can be traded for each other?
Just seems strange that the total balance will be half than what we had first with NXT, but in saying that, we sill still be holding our original NXT and if the FNX potentially could be trading for more anyway?

And probably forging/staking will be profitable, because you forge the blocks of all the childchains with FXT.  Shocked

Well that will be sweet, as this means there will be a good incentive for running a node, which there really currently is no real incentive for forgers at the moment.

I don't understand Nxt 2.0 for 100%, but I see a lot of potential for sure. And of course free FXT and free FNT.  Cheesy Damelon explained more about it on Slack and I want to share it here too.

Quote
1. release of the 1.9 version to mainnet.
This will be the start of the snapshot period for FXT distribution that will last for three months
This will be followed by
2. Automatic distribution of the FXT Token
This will start a period where people can freely trade FXT Token
I can imagine that this will also be done via "traditional" channels, so we might go to exchanges
3. This period ends with the creation of the Genesis block for Nxt 2.0
The Genesis block will mean the FXT becomes active and also that people will get FNX at a 1:05 ratio to what they have in their Nxt accounts at that time
Some key points that people ask often:
Q: will Nxt 1.x disappear
A: No, Nxt 1.x will *at least* be supported a full year after Nxt 2.0 goes live. This is not a hard limit, so if it's still actively used, this period may be extended
Q: Will we need to burn Nxt?
A: NO. ALL people holding Nxt will get a FREE ticket to Nxt 2.0 in the form of FXT
Q: Will Nxt 2.0 work on the Nxt blockchain?
A: No! Nxt 2.0 is a completely new and independent system
Q: Is this dilution?
A: This is a debatable statement. I've seen several takes on it. Good food for discussion, though
Q: Is Nxt 2.0 really free?
A: Yup, if you hold Nxt, you get in for free. Of course, if you don't have Nxt, you'll have to buy them

1 Nxt will give you 0,5 FNX
FNX is the transaction token (On the childchain)
1 Nxt will give you 1 FXT (Staking token, for forging/mining/staking, name is not in stone yet)

Hope this will help others understand Nxt 2.0 better. More to come soon with a professional marketing campaign (yes, Nxt and marketing are coming together)  Grin

Isint it supposed to be the opposite?

I thought 1 NXT will give you the same ratio of FNX? Or else if i currently hold 100K NXT for example, i will only get 50K of FNX?
I thought the staking token (FXT) was what we got the 50% ratio of?

Otherwise i assume the supply of NXT 2.0 is only going to be half a billion?
