i had i guy come out and when he opened the door to my panel it sparked everywhere and the power went out! Turns out i had a loose breaker which had defective coupler or what ever hold its into place...

After he opened it he said there is not room for any more breakers and i would need a sub panel or a new panel.


All in all i lost a 15 amp breaker and all that was on there got moved to a 20amp breaker that the garage door was running on. He said the Oven was on a 50amp and i looked at him and he started laughing! He said i should probably talk the other people in the house before i have him haul the oven away! LOL

He was just a contractor that was in the neighborhood doing me a solid so now at least i know i need a new panel or a sub panel.  

PDU and outlets just came.. Got the 10guage line too..  Just a bit brick walled with this panel issue. I gotta find out the costs of swapping to larger panels or adding a sub. Anyone know?

By the way i found i have 100-125 amp service by calling the power company!

Hey!!! Thanks for the reply!! Last night i just found out 1 280x is no good! I plugged it in by itself and i powered on the machine and it let out a puf and an electrical smell!

Im doing an rma now.


Will continue testing with other 280s i have on site..

I didnt even think of trying 8.1.


For some odd reason i was thinking it was the molex connectors to the powered risers.
I put each gpu on it own cable for the molex connectors thinking it wasnt getting the 75w .. i was originally double or trippling up on molex connections via a single cable.

How about the MSI Z77-GD80? Supposed to be like the Z77A-GD65 but with thunderbolt!



Cant get more than three cards detected! Im using pcie x1 slot #3 and #6 and then x16 pcie in slot 2!

Im having a hell of a time getting 6x 280x's to get detected on this board which is supposed to be like the z77a-gd65 that was popular for mining.


I can only get three cards detected at this point.  Is there something im missing? Im using slots number 3 & 6 for the pcie 1x slots and im using a single 16x slot in the #2 pcie slot!

Ive tried shorting the presence pins for the other 1x slots but no go.    Im scratching my head hear and ive been at it for almost 2 weeks now and frustration is kicking in! I need some fresh minds on this so here i am.

I ordered on dec 2nd and my order number is low 800's.. I actually "didnt" receive an email saying it was out of fabrication .. I found out via this thread!

I looked in my account and it says shipping pending customs check. ( Shipped date is Dec23 )

I didnt read anything about 6weeks tho.  If it took 6 weeks took get here after the 23rd ship date it would be 60 days or so before item is in hand! Add the customs wait time and add 5-10 days?  Mine has been at customs since 23rd! I haven't gotten a tracking number so this is all assumption or going off what my order status says!

If it took 6 weeks + 20 days of fab + 10 days at customs! Thats like a 70 day wait period to receive item in hand after order..

My order has been at customs pending shipping for 4 days .. i just noted 10 days to give cushion but i dont know any more than you guys!

If anyone actually receives their package if you could do us and openrigs.com a solid and post a picture of the said item in the wild!


Everyone else should post their order date, order number, ship type, location and when the item broke out of fab so we can see average delay in time for manufacturing and shipping and from shipping to in hand!
