If anyone knows how the balance can be shared with multisig to combine enough to make a node work, im keen to know.

I think it's safe to assume that every single person on here and working in the crypto space has been convicted of theft, money laundering and child porn. I know I have.

one of those? or all of them?

All of them and then some. Who hasn't?

Why mijin's Asayama Takao has an account in offshore?
https://offshoreleaks.icij.org/nodes/298138

The general public doesn't usually have it.

Whats the big deal of holding money in an off shore account?

How is this any different than holding XEM, NXT, Bitcoin, etc anyway?

It is a good ALT ?

We are better than any ALT, NEM is coded 100% from scratch, no BTC clone here!  Grin

How is NEM/Dragonfly/Mijin doing lately?

Any news?

Read the last few pages, there is lots of recent news!

Is there any way we could share balances and combine them in some way to run a supernode?

Much in the same way people are doing it with DASH?

What about Multisig?

If thats possible it would be great!

I take it that once the transition is made that NXT will eventually phase out?

I'd say that this is an assumption and may well be wrong.

Nxt 1.x will be supported for at least a year after mainnet 2.0 launches (until Q2 2018).

Personally, I think it still has plenty of options and could probably be useful.

Discarding old stuff is not always a good idea.

Conversely, it might even be taken over by a completely new set of devs.

To say it's going to just fade out is premature.

Sorry, perhaps i dont fully understand, but i thought NXT 2.0 was designed to replace the old NXT blockchain?

We have seen similar things happen with other coins in the past.

No Nxt as it is stays. But now it will get a motherchain underneath. You can use Nxt as you do now! Smiley

EDIT: I added the news to Nxt.org https://nxt.org/russias-central-securities-depository-uses-nxt-blockchain-voting/

Sorry, but this needs to be corrected.

Nxt 1.x will remain and will continue to be supported.

Nxt 2.0 is a new chain, that is split into a main chain (which will validate using FXT) and many child chains (the first of which will be using FNX as transactional token).

Nxt 1.x and 2.0 will have no direct relation on a blockchain.

Nxt 1.x is not being abandoned, but it will not receive new features from the core team. It will get bugfixes and updates that are required for safety and maintenance.
This does not mean new devs could not take on this project, though.

Will holders of Nxt get Nxt 2.0 and Fnxt?

Yes i believe so.

I originally thought that we would keep NXT as it is, then add "Fnxt" alongside for forging.
So now, if im correct is that NXT will remain, but FXT and FNX will be added as seperate chains?

Supernodes Update

I am pleased to report that Supernodes will begin payments on June 1st.

Please remember to have ports 7880, 7890, and now 7778 open.

Basic Step Steps to Enroll.

A) Make a delegated harvesting account on an account with 3,000,000+ XEM.

B) Boot a node with that delegated harvesting private key and make sure it is synced.

C) Open your ports on OS and router.

D) Configure and start up the Supernode's servant.

E) Send a message to NAFUNDBUKIOSTMD4BNXL7ZFE735QHN7A3FBS6CMY stating “enroll (your IP or hostname) (your node's name) (your delegated harvesting public key)”

Check your node's status and collect XEM as reward.  Smiley

Full and detailed instructions can be found here. https://forum.nem.io/t/nem-supernode-rewards-program/1735

I wish i could do this but my ISP uses CG-NAT.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Its great news that we are going to be added to Zaif, does anyone know when they will be adding us?
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 25, 2016, 06:36:38 AM
So am i correct in understanding that my balance will be split into a 50/50 amount of FXT and FNX?

Yes but it's additional to your NXT, which you keep because the NXT 1.x chain will go on.

OK so i will get the same amount of FNX as is the amount of NXT I currently hold?

No, you'll get the same amount of FXT as your NXT (1:1) and 50% as FNX (1:2). The other half of FNX will be held by the devs to fund further development.

OK, so i will have FXT, NXT and half that amount in FNX?

I take it that once the transition is made that NXT will eventually phase out?
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: May 25, 2016, 06:34:38 AM
The only altcoins I would consider investing in at this point are LISK and ETH.
I skimmed through this thread a little and it it was really interesting to see that most of the 'favorable altcoins' turned out to be waste of time.

So many shitcoins mentioned here, its not funny.

958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next $1 Billion Blockchain? on: May 20, 2016, 09:39:51 PM
I don't see an option for none of the above. It may take a while for the next $1b blockchain. It might not even happen.

Before ethereum came about, people doubted if any cryptocurrency could be worth that much.
Ethereum proved them all wrong.  Smiley

And NEM is going to very soon too Smiley
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: May 20, 2016, 09:37:58 PM
You guys seriously need to look at NEM right now

Why? Bin there from the beginning where everyone got 2mil NEM's for free. Dumped them right away after i saw the whole project.

You should seriously look where it is now.

They would have been worth more today than the day you dumped them!

BTW... Are you still holding SILK?  Wink
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: May 20, 2016, 09:23:26 PM
Please, I am new in Cryto and I want to buy XEM, what is the way more easy to do that with paypal money or credit card money? thanks!

BTC is for the moment the easiest way to get hold of some XEM.

Just in china you can buy directly with CNY. You can also find information on where XEM is traded at coinmarketcap.com

As you are new to crypto, just invest what you can afford to loose, just as a important sidenote in general about investments.
But you should be fine with XEM.  Smiley

Looks like Zaif is going to be adding NEM along with ETH, so that will make it alot easier to buy too.
