Guys, I will have 1 module for sale once it arrives. I just realized that I I can only fit 2 more, not 3.

wanna sell it to me, since knc fucked me over?

Mate how did you get screwed over when x amount more had the ability to purchase beyond what was allocated and we couldn't even get back into the system to stop it for an entire 2 minutes?

When people want something they complain if they don't get it. It's human nature...

Now to business,

There are two types of i30 Coolers --

One is called a 24/7 Cooler
The second is a Direct touch.

It looks like either will work.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=i30+Freezer&N=-1&isNodeId=1

Is it correct that either should work?

Either one will work. One is for Intel mounting and one is for AMD mounting, none of that is used here.

Your comment is misleading. If you have a look at the custom metal bracket made by KNC you will understand why.

Care elaborate? I can't get home look at the mounting bar, but I ordered two direct touch models earlier, before I was aware there were two different types.

Thanks!

I apologize. It seems that the custom metal bracket has indeed restraining holes for both i30 and A30.

This UPS box

Could hold 4 upgrade modules and does not cost more than $75 USD to ship

so why is KNC charging $206 to ship two board etc?

Because:

A: They made a mistake and refunds will follow
B: They decided to make some extra money on top by overcharging for delivery.

Let's see which one it is Smiley

I agree with ASIC-K that this sale was poorly organized and definitely not in the best interest of KNC customers.

Any ticket selling website that I've used works in the following way: there is a stock availability of n units. A customer puts x units in his cart, so the unit availability changes to n-x and that customer has a set number of minutes to complete the transaction. If he doesn't then the units get added back to the total availability.

But no, they used first paid, first served, which creates an unnecessary influx of customers, thus bandwidth to the Payment processor that can bring any website to its knees.

Try doing it via UPS sweden, looks like they get raped for prices over there. (using www.ups.se or http://www.ups.com/content/se/en/index.jsx

BTW 1221 SEK = £115 = $184

Forget about these prices - they are for the stupid general public. KNC have an account with UPS/Fedex and get it much cheaper.

I posted screenshots to prices via an account, that are even accessible to the general public. The stupid ones go directly to UPS and say: I'll bend over, you do the rest  Grin

Here is it again: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheap-parcel-delivery#international

Yet another point KNC failed in my eyes: extortionate shipping charges. $180 for a small packet, weighting less than 1kg. Yeah right  Shocked
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 02:38:21 PM
And you have just got trough and received your answer. Wink

Yes, managed to get through eventually. Not that I would have been upset if you answered here  Grin

And in regards to shipping these are the prices for a 1kg parcel (25cmx25xmx10cm) travelling from Sweden to UK. Insurance is not included in the price I believe, but there is plenty of price headroom for that:

So $60 per module is a lot over the top. And if you could buy 10, then you would be paying $600 for them, which is just ridiculous.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 02:29:17 PM
Managed to get through and spoke with someone, who I believe is new.
He confirmed my order has gone though and I should be getting the upgrade modules.

They are still to confirm when shipment will start - he said it could be this week or beginning of next one. And there is no problem bringing the faulty ones for RMA.

So it looks like I'm going to Stockholm. Anyone else?

where you travelling from?

London, UK.

knc's phone number never fucking works.... sigh

Dude, I've been on the phone for the past 40 minutes, calling every 5 minutes and all I get is some free tone and then the swedish lady saying something that I don't understand.
I've made over 40 attempts and I keep trying...

It does work, it's chocablock at the moment, with people wanting modules that are no longer for sale and won't give up.

Yes, I realize that, so I just keep trying. While you are here - do I think it would be OK for me to come and get my new modules + also exchange the faulty ones?
That's what I want to ask on the phone.

I'm am trying to call them right now, but nobody is picking up and it is free tone, which I think means they are on the phone as explained previously.

The shipping was outrageous - $180 from Stockholm to London  Shocked

I didn't pay for it, so I am most probably going by plane - anyone else?

For the die zero issue it cost the same for us to return.

Also UPS  charge the same for delivery to London, as they do New York.

It's UPS's pricing.

Sorry but that is not true. Go to the UPS website and check for yourself. And that is even without a business account, which KNC = so even cheaper.

I probably had one of the first orders. 10740.

I believe it is determined by paid status. If it shows under order history that it is paid, you should be fine.

Wow 11054-10740 = at least 314 orders made and I would imagine most people got 3 modules each, so modules have been oversold by a big margin then?
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 01:30:33 PM

Anyone from the UK know the cheapest place for a Coolermaster V850. I presume Amazon, but thought I would ask before purchasing my PSUs.

Also, does anyone know if these new modules will be shipping before November's batch, or at the same time?

Cheers.

I got 2 from Micom.co.uk for £237 delivered, but they appear to be gone now.
The next best thing will be box.co.uk.

I got mine from dabs they seemed to be cheapest at the time.

I'd say yes on the delivery front for the upgrade units.  I can'tsee areason forthem tohold back on despatch.  Just remember you can't use them in the November units, you can't use them without an existing Batch 1 KNC miner.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arctic-Cooling-Freezer-i30-Cooler/dp/B006T0H5J4

£22.99 with free delivery (UK)

He is asking about the PSU, sleepy. Go get some coffee  Wink

then 600 BTC go to kncminer  Shocked

What?

He is totally not aware that they use Bitpay.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 02:41:50 AM
You guys should start with 600m diff and then add an additional 2PH to that for the end of November.  From there take a guess at how much HashFast, Bitmine, BitFury, and CoinTerra are launching.

People are way too excited to spend $1000+ (including extra parts to buy) just for ~140GH.

Companies will continue to rip people off if you keep falling for it.  Amazing how people want to give away their BTC.  If you have $1000 to blow, buy more BTC on the next price correction.

^^^Exactly, people are paying with their mined KNC btc to buy more power at a higher hashrate, I'm still shaking my head at this.

I see it this way: I will pay around 2.8BTC for each module, so after I get these 2.8BTC back = profit

And I find it really hard to believe 140GH/s will not mine 2.8BTC for the next 3-6 months.
