941  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France(ism): ban the burkinis on: August 26, 2016, 11:37:24 PM

Well, let's welcome the future.

Somehow, it's easier in Saudi Arabia. Women have no right to go the beach. Problem solved! There used to be plenty of saudis and emiratis during summertime on the french riviera (I don't know if that's still the case, I haven't been there during summer for 3 years), and the women were really enjoying it because of all the freedom they can't have at home.

Many people had the dream that the freedom from Europe would move to the muslim world, but things are going the other way around. It's muslim restrictions which are brought to Europe. Sorry to point it out, but there are neighborhoods in France where a woman cannot wear a skirt anymore. Maybe in 20 years, women will be arrested for wearing a bikini. This is what muslims want.
942  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France, Germany want limits on encryption to fight terrorism on: August 26, 2016, 11:27:11 PM
Everybody knows that all terrorists (in the western world) are muslims, so they could just ban islam, close down all their places of worship, and deport all muslims to muslim countries where they could all live happily forever and the terror problem would be solved. No need to block encryption. Alas, it's way too late to think of that. One minister in France is muslim, and London's mayor is muslim, too. So the open society will gradually loose it openness.

Didn't know breivik was muslim. Or that the neo nazis that did these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosphorus_serial_murders and the cologne bombing were muslim. Or that the guys doing the pipe bomb attacks in northern ireland are muslim. Or that c18, white wolves and related groups are muslim. Etc.

I meant in the present times. During the last decade in the western world, all terror has been coming from muslim. I know the past was different, but I do not live in the past. Also, by terror, I mean people dying. In France and Germany, there's been people painting pigs on the walls of a mosque but I don't see that as terror.

Not sure you live in the present either:
breivik - 2011
bosphorus serial murders - until 2006
northern ireland - current: http://www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/belfast-news/northern-ireland-top-eu-target-10315447
c18 and related groups - probably current: http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/belfast-racists-threaten-to-cut-romanian-babys-throat-28484870.html

And here are a few more:
http://www.start.umd.edu/gtd/search/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=201208050006
http://www.start.umd.edu/gtd/search/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=201507230080

http://www.start.umd.edu/gtd/search/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=200907290025
http://www.start.umd.edu/gtd/search/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=201511270001

You can say recent terror attacks in the west by jihadists have been the most deadly. That is probably true. But not the only type of terrorist attacks in the western world. And not even the most common type. According to europol for the year 2015 for example, out of over 200 terrorist attacks and attempted terrorist attacks in europe less than 20 were by jihadists. Can't you see this is just the latest excuse for them to do something they have been trying for a long time? Everyone is panicking about the muslims that are going to kill us all that they decided to try again.

I guess we don't have the same definition of "terror" nor "in the present time".

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/belfast-racists-threaten-to-cut-romanian-babys-throat-28484870.html
This example is really laughable. One threat 7 years ago.

There's no more terror in Ireland. It's a very quiet country by all standards. Compare the deaths by irish nationalists in the past 5 years, to the deaths by muslims in the past 5 years. The ratio is probably around 1 to 100.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need an incentive to make first world population use Bitcoin on: August 26, 2016, 11:13:32 PM
An incentive? Let's think first about who will provide it. Who will pay for it? Who will organize it? The BTC foundation? Coinbase? Your family? All the users of this forum?
944  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: August 26, 2016, 11:11:15 PM
I'm really surprised by the results. I have changed countries several times and I don't consider the banning of BTC as a valid reason to move. I'll just keep on using BTC illegally. Considering I've been working illegally in 8 different countries so far, I don't see that as a big deal.

Governments cannot control everything. They've never controlled me.
945  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France(ism): ban the burkinis on: August 25, 2016, 10:18:24 PM
Hey, the French don't want to end up a muslim country like the UK:

https://inews.co.uk/essentials/news/police-scotland-introduces-uniform-hijab/

I remember going to the French riviera in the 80's and there were more women topless than they were my last time there. Women were proud to have the right to show their breasts, and everything was fine. Now, some women seem proud to hide themselves. Sorry ma'am, but there's no pride in hiding. There never was.

947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Baidu Stops All Bitcoin-Related Advertising on: August 25, 2016, 10:04:39 PM
So what? How much business was lost? How big was BTC-related advertising on Baidu? I bet it's no big deal. A 5-digit figure at best. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've never seen BTC-related advertising on big media, only on small dedicated websites.
948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France, Germany want limits on encryption to fight terrorism on: August 24, 2016, 11:18:28 PM
The plan also shows French and German politicians have no guts. 949  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think would happen if all drugs became legal? on: August 24, 2016, 11:10:40 PM
I don't think legalization would lead to more crime, as it would bring all prices down. Come to think of it, there's no reason why cocaine or pot should be more expensive than tea or pepper. Farmers know how to produce for cheap. Yet, if not violent crime, we may see a huge rise in irrational behavior or dangerous driving. The sight of dead stoned people in parks or bus stops may also be unpleasant.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you live on a seastead that uses nothing but bitcoin for its currency? on: August 24, 2016, 11:00:56 PM
Hey, that's funny. 2 years ago, I was working for a French company which had huge plans to exploit the seas. They've developed some smart bio-engineering tech to turn algae into fuel, and I was helping them raise funds to start large scale production. Unfortunately, the price of oil crashed, and all prospects to make the company financially viable. But I agree there's huge opportunity in the seas.

Not much for living, though. On the the project I was working for, all algae, once harvested, would have been converted into fuel in a factory on land. It's difficult to think of a floating structure as a viable living space.
951  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Olympic games should be abolished on: August 23, 2016, 11:21:02 PM
Why destroy something that brings so much joy to the world for so many. Huh

We should not bother about the mad rambling from the vocal minority. More than 99% of the world population supports Olympics, and it is here to stay.

99%, are you sure?
I'd say 40% and that's a gross estimate. Also the olympics are theoretically more than 2,000 years old but they're actually about 100 years old, and they've already been interrupted twice because of world wars. They can be cancelled again, without making a fuss.
952  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France, Germany want limits on encryption to fight terrorism on: August 23, 2016, 11:14:22 PM
I'm concerned. I'm staying several months each year in France and Germany and I've already read several articles about it. The worst thing is that if they want to limit encryption, then it's a very small step to ban BTC. Fortunately, it seems perfectly impossible to block encryption.
953  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Concept: OP_RETURN with torrent file to an HTML file = hostless website on: August 23, 2016, 11:11:20 PM
I don't think you could make a normal website this way. By "normal website", I mean something which downloads and shows up fast in the browser, something which is easy to update for the webmaster, and something optimized for search engines.
Maybe it could eventually become an alternative to a Tor hidden service?
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to profit on Bitcoin escrow services? on: August 23, 2016, 11:02:13 PM
No, don't think about it. The only person who can legitimately make a profit from escrow is the person providing the service, and his profit is very, very small. There's no way you could get a cut from that, and more than that, it would not be legitimate. Also, there's a lot of competitions between companies provoding escrow services. The margins are thin.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Impending Global Negative Interest Rate Regime Bodes Well for Bitcoin on: August 22, 2016, 10:58:29 PM
If the central banks and the whole financial system weren't creating money out of thin air, interest rates would be positive again in no time.

And that carries a serious risk of implosion of the sovereign bond market. Most of those debts are unpayable, and the only course of action for central banks is to.... do exactly what they're doing right now, buy their own bonds themselves. With more printed money..... see where this is going?

Very well. I still believe it's still possible to reverse the actual trend, though. But that would require a race of politicians which doesn't exist any longer.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar Collapse - What does it mean for Bitcoin ? on: August 22, 2016, 10:54:23 PM
There is a lot of videos and articles around the web about how the dollar will collapse on 27 September 2016.
I'm not sure how exactly they got this date, even If it's not the real date, It seems like a lot of experts keep saying that a collapse is coming soon.

Assuming that the Dollar collapse indeed , what does it mean for Bitcoin exactly ?

I haven't seen any of those videos. I haven't read any of those articles. Don't you have any link if here are so many of them? I always check an info...
957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS is nothing compared to U.S. cops. on: August 21, 2016, 10:39:01 PM
Are you afraid of ISIS in America? Be afraid of U.S. cops!

When American Police start forcing women to cover their bodies in Burkas, and beheading people in the street, then you can talk.

Check out all the silly things cops make people do. Even in the old days... walk that line in the parking lot.

Now days cops often make you submit to fondling of your genitals for no reason at all, even though they act like they have an excuse.

Good information. I had always wondered why there were so many gays in America. I thought those things only happened during shower time in jail. If it happens in the streets, too, that's bad.
958  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia's sinking: Spain is now richer on: August 21, 2016, 10:34:29 PM
Spain's economy is a lie.

Have you been to Spain recently? I'm going there at least 6 weeks each year, and it's a strong economy. Both Madrid and Barcelona airports are very busy places, among the busiest in Europe, and my last time in Barcelona, all the shopping centers I went to were crowded. Also Spain's manufacturing a lot of cars, bringing billions to the country. I was surprised when I found that info, but the more I think of it, the more I believe it.

I was in Barcelona last month.

Good, I was there last February. I always try to avoid Spain during summer time, as it gets too crowded. Wasn't it crowded while you were there? Weren't the restaurants packed? Weren't the hotels fully booked? I was in Barcelona in mid June of 2015. We went to the placa Reial on a weekday, and it was still crowded at midnight.

I booked my hotel 3 months before i get there. The city was very crowded. I like it crowded. A vacation in Barcelona wouldn't make any sense without a crowd. Smiley So i have no regrets, i liked it a lot. I usually hanged around plaça de catalunia and the street which goes to the beach from there. Beach clubs, weed clubs, strip clubs... You can have any kind of fun you like there. Airport was also crowded but nothing like disturbing.

Yeah i know spain makes a lot of cars. I heard VW have a factory there.

I am not saying Spain is completely worthless. (their income is mostly from tourism, which is worthless in war times) I say, Russia is in a better position.

So, how much does Putin pays you to write all that BS?
For your information, there's no street starting from placa de Catalunya which goes to the beach. And there are no weed clubs, nor a single strip club in Barcelona.

NOTE to all readers: MINDRUST IS A LIAR. He would have been in Barcelona, he would know there can't be a strip club in Barcelona. It would make no sense because just North of the city, there's a nude beach where anyone can see hundreds of naked women for free (yes, I've been there).

@lemmyK - This topic isn't about Slovakia.
959  Economy / Economics / Re: Businesses you can run from anywhere for under $1,000 on: August 21, 2016, 10:15:59 PM
You can also be a doctor with little investment. One suitcase with a stethoscope, a notepad, a pen, some tissues, a couple of syringes, you don't need much really. Well, it takes years of studying, but that's another issue.
960  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela collapses into a black hole???? on: August 21, 2016, 12:01:30 PM
What kind of land could I buy there for $1k right now?

Don't think about that. I'm sure property in Venezuela is very affordable right now, but you couldn't count on the police to enforce your property rights. The country is too much in a mess, the average investor shall look elsewhere.
