If you received directly from Casascius, would you be able to get PGP docs from him and extend the chain of custody to buyers? I'd be interested if the docs were available.

I've had a few lowball offers on the 0.5 BTC Silver Series-2 coins, mostly in the 5-6 BTC range. While there's some wiggle room, I'm not willing to resort to bargain-basement prices

Do you by anny chance have a set of extra hologram sticker for casascius coin? In This case pm me would be very interested in buying one

I'm not sure if you can get 4.5 BTC for it though (I hope you do because I have some of these myself) someone else is selling the same coin MS-65 graded for 4 BTC shipped. Why not get the 1 BTC error coin graded, your condition looks good and it would double the value Bump because I love these coins I have one in similar condition and am asking 3.5. dont you think 4.5 is a bit steep? perhaps i should be bumping my own price a bit... as for grading, it certainly wouldn't double the value. Time will tell, I suppose -- I'm not in any rush to sell. Coin-for-coin trades are an option as well. I personally don't put a lot of stock in gradings, mostly because ANACS is notorious for over-grading coins. I've seen 1 BTC Silvers with TERRIBLE lasering on the holos get MS-67 gradings.

Im curious to see what price you get for the 2011 1 BTC Brass series-1 hologram...watching Is it the error coin? If yes, you should post that! It makes it much more valuable. It is! Thanks, I've updated the OP with more info and pictures.

I've got some Casascius coins that I'd like to sell. (1) 2011 1 BTC Brass series-1 hologram - 4 BTC(1) 2011 1 BTC Brass series-2 hologram (MS-64, mintage of approx. 500) - 4 BTC(1) 2013 1 BTC Silver series-3 hologram (from the third roll ever produced: Roll 1Ag1-C) - 3 BTC(19) (16) (11) 2013 0.5 BTC Brass series-2 hologram - 1 BTCSilvers come in air-tite cases. Shipping from Canada with very discreet packaging. PGP-verifiable chain of custody (from Casascius, through me, to you) is included with all silver coins, free of charge. Not sure what this means? Read here: Nubbins, how did you extend the chain of custody on your coin?
Easy peasy. I take Mike's signed document, append text after his signature that identifies the new buyer, and sign the whole thing with my key. For sake of illustration, Mike's original document is in blue, and mine is in red. ---Begin PGP doc---- ---Begin PGP doc---
I, Mike Caldwell, sent coins a,b,c to nubbins, and his PGP fingerprint is ABCD EFGH.
See attached document scanned-coins.pdf with MD5 checksum blahblah
- ---Begin PGP sig--- 234C%#@4fv524 <---PGP signature for Mike's key - ---End PGP sig---I, nubbins, sent coin b to zipmaster, and his PGP fingerprint is IJKL MNOP.
---Begin PGP sig--- @%$Y#H/Rgef4e <---PGP signature for my key (ABCD EFGH) ---End PGP sig---Then I just take this block of text and scanned-coins.pdf and send them along to the new owner. Silver 1 BTC coins are from the very first batch: Series-3 holograms with the 1Ag1 prefix. I choose not to have my coins graded, so as not to break the chain of custody (the coins have never left my possession), but a previous buyer has graded a coin he received from me and it was given an MS67 rating. Here is a photo I took of two of my coins: And here's a photo of the left coin, graded and slabbed: Brass 1 BTC coin with Series-1 hologram contains a spelling error in the word "Casascius", light patina from handling and a few minor marks on the holo: Check out my forum trust here...And my OTC Web of Trust ratings here. Thanks for looking!

...if the questions are not addressed, people will remove their capital from the platform and all funds listed there will suffer. ... Havelock has been operating at a loss for the last two months, kindly consult our financial statement. If participating fund issuers wish Havelock to continue offering its services, said issuers should spring for expenses. Themselves. Havelock's tired of supporting freeloaders. Enough of this entitled bullshit. One more finicky complaint and Havelock *will* pull the server plug. Panama's not Communist Russia, we ain't running no charity People are so huffy *because* Havelock has been operating at a loss for the last two months. And because there's no explanation of where the money went, aside from "Expenses". Investors in Havelock funds are the ones running charities

Also, there is nothing in the report outlining what the "expenses" are made up of.
+1. The report is useless. Try harder, please.

Did you receive these coins directly from Casascius, and do you have pgp custody documents for them? Possibly interested in a couple.
Hi, i bought them from coblee a while back, who was a well known casascius reseller here, he got them all directly from mike in rolls. Not sure what a pgp custody document is. Coles notes version here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268965.msg4627318#msg4627318Given the number of coins that coblee sold to people, I wonder if there's any chance of convincing him to get on board.

Business or not he is still guilty of blackmail against real companies (possibly in combination with Popescu for commercial gain for his MPEx exchange) which is a serious crime. All the evidence is on this forum. If you steal a bag of money from a bank and it's been switched for fake money by tipped off Police you would still be guilty of bank robbery and get the same sentence real money or not. do you even know how to quote?

I will keep you all updated on the replies I get back from everyone I have contacted.
Maybe when you get your replies, you can gather them into a single post, rather than spamming the thread with a dozen posts per day?
|

nubbins you may be asked or told to hand over this info by dotcoins lawyer, I would suggest you do that sooner rather than later.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I've sold goods to many high-profile members of the Bitcoin community over the past few years, one of whom you know as pankkake. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I sent registered mail to pankkake last fall. His name is not Romain Bignon, nor is it Roger Floupard, nor does he live in Bordeaux, nor Sceaux. Maybe you've dug up one of his friends, maybe you've dug up some random schmo who's never met pankkake, I have no idea. Either way, you're on the wrong track. Neither pankkake's real name nor his address have appeared in this thread so far.Keep up the detective work, guys. Great job so far. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.18 (Darwin) Comment: GPGTools - http://gpgtools.orgiQEcBAEBAgAGBQJTOIN8AAoJEM8pUPI8hEACUlYH/jgm4Bev8GQ6GUH8YrqU33uB 0ft+xO6SgReFs33romf/gQ0k3FqN+DwWSSjI9WRbNiPSa6Ujgt39DvYc0u6MvvC5 nmmTZOUK2G7hJfMjmbWH/S5eh8cYqRxu0TZIVzLYGzvkFABw6L2ZDwMzm/V75aTx dEX/NTrvNoPQ148fj+q8vSAHU1UIbCIyH27IK2+Z03Au3fM5c9/Z5db/XQ7rSVYr Gj4DuzEcbZWB6SA+G79X7b4un8Mix+AYwG3Pk/ZD1gHlApFYxY35ReB2lJxV29jE 0JuxfUpr0SrTYLwSVNlVSaIyeothrHri0s0NL+YpUr5CjJDQD19qQwL1PEmjuKc= =T/Qc -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I'll get things started with an offer of 5.75BTC, provided you can extend the pgp chain of custody to me.

As I've discussed elsewhere, I bump up the price on my remaining 0.5btc silvers every time I sell one, both to reflect my dwindling supply and so as not to undercut purchasers who might wish to resell. The most recent sale was for 6btc, as verified by the escrow agent over in Chainsaw's thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214589.msg5698144#msg5698144
