What are you using to mine? Will current blakecoin miners pointed to a UFC wallet solo mine?

Will a UFC pool be up?

I have a outstanding order where I have my Dollarpound and Darsek pools for a blakecoin pool but they can't seem to get it to work yet I hope to switch it to UFC.

I was holding my breath because I just announced that the exchange was launching this weekend before I saw the problem announced.

Good news! Another Dream Works Grin

and works like a dream.  (Go KED-GPL-UFC!)

One idea is use the extra UFC as a finders bonus on a Pool Block reward is X but finder gets an extra 5 UFC also a portion can be used as part of unfocus's exchange preload.  First 100 register will get the equalivent of 5 blocks worth of coin.  1GPL, 1000UFO 250DPZ etc

Reserve for a faucet.

All of these boil down to give it away while promoting the coin.

I'm still no on SHA256 have QBT and FFC already Agree with Dream on Blake. The coin can be CPU, GPU and FPGA mined. FPGA is not really faster than GPU just less power and used not that expensive on Ebay etc.

There are some ufc wallets up so it's ok It's just more is better and less chance of all dropping of at same time.

I now have ASIC and GPU mining working on my ubuntu box (FFC &KED). next is to get the CM1 FPGA connected and mining blakecoin again.

Hope to have it ready so I can use to mine UFC. I should install the blake GPU miner as well.

Pool at

ked.livechains.net is now ked.co.in
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Star Trek Crypto Coin Information Thread on: January 20, 2014, 06:47:41 PM
yes make it Blake256 go for it.

Would be best to have done before exchange opens. But I would rather open exchange with current UFC than either delay exchange or not list UFC

P.S.
ked.co.in works now for me it may yet take a bit for the DNS redirect to propagate.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Star Trek Crypto Coin Information Thread on: January 20, 2014, 06:40:23 PM
I think if we make clear that UFC

A. Cannot be mined right now But will be mineable after the fork
B. All Current UFC is safe it can be converted into the new UFC by simply moving wallet.dat into new client
C. Balance on exchange after Fork will automatically(at least for the user) be converted.

We can still have UFC on the exchange.

I do think this issue will hurt the value somewhat but less than it not being on the exchange at all.

darsek mining is down. is there an E.T.A when it will be back up.

I am not sure, the VPS host I have it on is down, so it will be up once the hosting company gets the VPS back up.

You can always use Mogriths Darsek pool at:  http://ked.livechains.net/

Mogrith's got 8 workers at the pool now, moving along well.
Nice hack on Dream's pool btw! Your secret is safe between us!  Grin

Alrite guys, no foul play happened, just a little giggle. All the news here have been grim lately.

I should change it back to Dilithium Mining for Darseks.   KED.CO.IN will forward to my pool DNS is propagating so should happed sometime today. Then I'll work on actually moving the pool to that address.

994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Star Trek Crypto Coin Information Thread on: January 19, 2014, 08:14:23 PM
While not trek coins, FFC and QBT are HSA256 and will be on the exchange.

If we make a SHA256 it will need to retarget diff quickly as large miners and pools can make the network hashrate swing several orders of magnitude.

Blakecoin can be done on FPGA which means it could become a new kind of ASIC someday but will not need to worry about  that until UFC becomes very big and profitable.

Most SHA256 coins are very low value because they can be so massively mined.

Take all the time that is needed, better to have a relaunch with no issues than to rush and risk a mess.
Thanks for your work.

Agree take your time until you can hash that nonce just right.  Embarrassed

As you might have noticed I'm a blakecoin fan.  And am active on the thread for it. i also have a FPGA set up to mine the coin.

Buledragon the dev has been resistant to others trying to clone the coin. He feels that getting the first one fully off the ground is a better use of time and energy

But Merging the awareness of UFC with the advantages of blakecoin seem like a very good idea.

998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Star Trek Crypto Coin Information Thread on: January 19, 2014, 05:12:12 AM
Ouch.

Well KED is looking good, GPL is running nicely. DPZ should be out soon

We really can't Put UFC on the exchange if no one can mine any more of it.

This is quite a learning process. From what you said there is no easy work around we need to build the coin over.

What can I do to help?
