well, what you guys expect, dgex is a business, it's for a profit, don't like it - there are other exchanges Smiley or set up your own. Doing manual withdrawals, covering losses from his own pocket and dealing with 300 emails per day must be a nightmare.
Thanks. You're one of the few who seems realize what this is all about, and it's not even certain the nightmare of throwing $5M+ worth of trader money back and forth in an unstable status payment network eventually leaves anything on my hands.

We investigated a security breach (and covered losses) during the break.

Yeah but even now I try to withdraw btc with 3.2 fee (it used to be instant as promised) and it is pending. i am paying %3.2 fee and it is not automated...

Maybe thatīs the reason?

That is fine, and even the fees can can be ok if you COMMUNICATE it to the people! I am ready to join your team to do this if you have no resources. Because the way it was handled this time makes our work spreading Nxt worthless. For a lot of newcomers dgex=Nxt. They don´t say YOU are doing things bad. They say NXT is bad.

Trading works now.

so they only closed the site for the sourcecode release... what a shame.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 03, 2014, 12:57:49 PM
I'm not trying to stifle any other exchanges, but my dgex.com has been fine tonight..
maybe because I'm already logged in? I dunno..

Try to trade, it won't work.

I haven't tried to trade tonight.. good point, just market watching and clicking windows.

DGEX back online. With stunning new...ishlylooking old design.

You still canīt trade.

It's interesting how there are all those checks for amount to be > 0, fee > 0, for proper dead line, yet zero checks for the validity of address, the most important part.

Yeah, let's just convert whatever user sent to BigInt, screw him.

--

No, no matter how you put it, this is ridiculous.

So you are aiming to replace bitcoin and handle at least its market cap of 10 billion dollars, handle 30000 tps and yet do no checksums, when even your grandmother's CD has them to play its music? And the cost of error is losing your money forever?

Pardon my language, but I admire the size of your balls, gentlemen  Grin

you should post it here:

A comment from the nextcoin.org forum regarding Dgexīs sgutdown.

(((((I wonder that how was it even possible to have this crazy idea of shutting down the only working NXT exchange on the same day as the code publishing?))))

They publish the code, if the people will like it they will open the marcet if not, they will put closet and run that`s why they did that 80%.

so..do people like the code? Smiley

dgex problems again...
DGEX is a disaster.  They never sent me my approx 1,200 NXT, i emailed them 2+ weeks ago, they replied 1 week later to the effect of "we trust your issue has been resolved".  I emailed them back and said it has not, and no reply.  Just stole my BTC.

I agree they also cancelled possibility to withdraw NXT  for free - I ask why 1,4% its worse than banking fees!!! even Bank America has lower fees. And especially from somebody who apparently came in into NXT from the beginning who don't have to solve financial problems for the rest of his life
well OK, its his offer we don't have to visit Dgex, but don't you think that 1,4% withdrawal fee is very high??

It is. Nxt withdrawal should be free! Graviton!

Just a friendly reminder...

There will be a Bitcoin Conference in February held in Berlin.

http://www.mediabistro.com/insidebitcoins/

I am not from Berlin, but would love to represent Nxt on this venue. I decided to take 3 days off and fly over to Germany and use the opportunity to spread the word, let others know about Nxt and itīs features.
I am sure that we all will benefit from having someone around at a venue like this. I am asking the community to support these efforts by donating to help fund the journey and the purchase of marketing materials like T-Shirts & pendrives with Nxt logo/slogan on them, printing some cool Nxt bills, and so on.

I will document all the expenses and will make the spending of the fund transparent. I will also broadcast from the venue and post some pictures Smiley

I received donations from 3 persons so far... I am asking community members, escpeially with big stakes to support this and help with funds AND ideas how to make Germany aware of Nxt. Even a couple of hundred Nxts will help.

Thank you!

Send some.
I will send more after the conference and you show some photo of what you did

Thank you very much!

... but where and where will it be discussed?

There will be a spearate thread, but I am sure they will post about it here. CfB disappeard for the last 30 minutes or so, so I think they are already preparing it.

I cannot find source code
I am watching http://info.nxtcrypto.org/ and this thread but cannot find it, did I miss something?

I think it will be 12:00 GMT.

Can we figure something out to support these things, so people who are actually promoting Nxt in the real world have the materials, a good website (marketing website, not a technical one, so a presentation site), and factsheets and goodies to hand out?
Maybe we can pool resources as marketeers.

I'll have prepared a short Nxt introduce video, it could be also presented on Nexus7 tablet during the handshaking Cheesy

Business cards are in progress:

They will be used in Miami conference:
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,853.30.html

And then in Berlin:
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1518.0.html

We might print and use some already prepared (but not completed) infographics:
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1565.msg20180.html#msg20180

Marketing googlesheet isn't updated yet, but there are also some names..
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgAGADgnQcrtdHRrV3V3Z1lzOXVEMWtqdElUaEtqV1E#gid=9

Based on the new branding, I could make business cards for myself for now.

An up to date infographic would be great, though. The only one that would be useful from these (for my target audience) would be a seriously non-technical NXT/BTC one and a Nxt/Fiat one.
The people who I will meet will be interested in new ways of payment and how safe it will be, not in any technical stuff. Basically : "How does/can this benefit ME from a seller/buyer standpoint?".
I'm realistisic and know that I won't "sell" Nxt to these people outright in Feb, but I plan to ride the "fear" of BTC and the volatility issue that sales people will be scared about and point to the eco side from the other direction. Seeing as I'm going to meet international companies. The decentralised exchange will interest them, too. Cutting out the middle man is always interesting.

I donīt think we have to sell anything. Just make the world aware of Nxt. If something is good, it will sell itself. If not, itīs not worth pushing it.

Thank you!

I strongly consider that support your presentation is much better then spend coins to all this "please-give-me" 's I see in this thread.
And I wonder why your request has almost no reaction among Nxt holders...

You are the only one who is replying when I write about the conference. I really donīt know why people are so ignorant regarding this. Anyway, I wonīt give up Smiley

I just heard I am going to represent my company on the Ambiente fair in the Frankfurter Messe in February. My main work will of course be for my own company, but in the five days I am there I will meet loads of business people (wholesalers and big retailers) from all over the world. I am certainly willing, if it doesn't conflict with my business, to introduce these people to Nxt.
I would need some nice marketing tools though, to at least get them hooked/interested.

We're in te beginning of development, so it's natural that we can't give them totally finished tools to show, but anything helps at this moment to at least BE there.

Can we figure something out to support these things, so people who are actually promoting Nxt in the real world have the materials, a good website (marketing website, not a technical one, so a presentation site), and factsheets and goodies to hand out?

I think Hash could help with the marketing materials:

Thank you very much for your 200 Nxt again. You already sent 600 to the fund. I donīt know if the account youīve sent it from is your main account, if yes, please stop sending donations as I donīt think itīs fair to accept donations from someone only having 2000 Nxt in his wallet. You are great and you really make this community a better place! Thank you!

So, you seem to assume that the cause of the problem can not be in the core?

Right. Code that sends money is very simple.

Although there will be a new client soon (hopefully) such a bug shouldnīt be left in the current client. Canīt you try to debug it CfB?
