Heh, well, Pakistani team didn't but the rain made records, along with Abid Ali. He just scored a century on his test debut, after scoring a century on his ODI debut a few months back. I really like his batting style and coolness that he carries.

Not sure why the hell he was dropped in the world cup. Roll Eyes
Pakistan always like to go for experienced players when there are major tournaments and that is what happened when they dropped Abid Ali during the world cup selection process, i did not know that he made centuries in his debut in ODI and now in Test match and it must be a rare double for a player as i have not heard anyone doing so in the past.

Australia won the match easily and Starc and Lyon was the pick of the bowlers as they shared 8 wickets between them in the second innings and with this match we have an idea how the series will unfold.

Good start by WI they are spot on to the target, from now on they need to patience and keep wickets in hand till the 40th over. They can win this match if they perform consistently like this.
Unless and until India can pick up wickets and put pressure back to West Indies there is no way they are going to win the match, winning the toss was a crucial part i think because the West Indies were able to control the run rate and restrict India and now West Indies are chasing really well and dominating the Indian bowlers as they are taking apart and clearing the boundary with ease.
983  Local / India / Re: Is China still dominating the mining industry on: December 15, 2019, 02:14:27 PM
We all know that China has been a huge contributor in crypto until their government completely prohibited the use of crypto and banned mining.
Bitmain is planning to come up with the largest mining farm in Texas, so what do we call them, the China's biggest mining farm in Texas  Wink, there are many private investors starting their mining farm in Norway or any places where it is feasible to get profit.

Much of it might come from Bitmain which actually stands as a monopoly in China.
Don't you guys think that having such a huge dominance is a potential risk to the bitcoin network ?
I am against monopoly and i am not happy to see a single investor dominating the entire mining space, i would like to see many investors competing with each other and if a single individual or a company dominate the entire network then it is a security risk.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 15, 2019, 01:31:53 PM
They lost an opener too early and most of the names on WI squad is new so they lack experience in huge when we compare with team India so I guess it will be an easy match for India if they can take one more wicket in the next few overs.

Captain Pollard's wicket will be the key of this match.
West Indies lost an opener earlier but now they are playing carefully and if they are able to build a good partnership without loosing much wickets and since this is the T20 era you cannot trust any total below 300 as the players will score slowly and when the target is below 100 then they will view the match as a T20 and you will cover the run rate required and it all depends upon how India bowls.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 14, 2019, 04:47:56 PM
Not just Lyon, but Marnus Labuschagne is also there as the spin option. During the first innings of New Zealand, he had taken the crucial wicket of Mitchell Santner. But that said, with both Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins bowling in peak form, I don't think that the spinners may get much opportunities to bowl their spells.
I think Lyon will play a major role in picking up the wickets in the final two days, if you are talking about part time bowlers then Australia does have some good part time bowlers like Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith as both can bowl decent leg spins and Travis Head is a multi talent who can bowl off spin as well as a good wicket keeper. Australia will win the match with the way they bowled in the first innings and how long New Zealand can prolong the match is the interesting part.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 14, 2019, 02:12:29 PM
Not really, because you will know why if you read my above quote again,418 is the most successful chase ever in test matches means even if they score 2 more runs then Aus will hit 419 so OZ need to break world record to win this match.

I guess 2nd innings of OZ also won't last long because when days passes pitch will assist to bowlers so high chances for wickets to fell in quick sessions.
The point here is that New Zealand will not chase anything beyond 300 runs as the pitch will not be that easy to bat on, you can see how the Australian players struggled in the second innings as the New Zealand bowlers were peppering them with short balls and it was not that easy to bat on and in that case how can we expect them to chase a total like that and they have a good spinner in Lyon to contain one end.

Muthiah Muralidharan was born in Srilanka but his origin was from Tamil Hindu community,at that period there are some wars going on among Sri lankans and Tamil where Sinhalis asked all thamil people to go back to India and killed millions of people who refused to migrate but now Srilankan Cricket board proud of having such a player. Its wall fo shame or just for political benefits. Angry
Even when there was a war because of political situations no one asked Muttiah Muralitharan to go back to India, he was well supported by the Sri Lankan government as well as their cricket board when ever there was a chucking issue when the Australian umpires targeted him they stood by him and even walked out of the ground as protest and what are you talking about, Muttiah Muralitharan was their best cricketer ever, if you take any world eleven he will have a place in the team.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 14, 2019, 12:20:02 PM
418 is the most successful run chase ever in the test cricket history so anything more than 450 will gave them enough hope to win the match or get drawn if NZ played their best. And best score of fourth Innings is 450 but RSA lost that match.
I am now confused why the Australian captain is not declaring the innings, when Warner was batting at 300 plus he declared the innings even with plenty of time left and now the Australia is leading over 400 runs and still they are not planning to declare the innings and they have a bowler short and they need to bowl 30 plus overs and try to pick the maximum wickets and the bowlers will get a good rest and then they will finish off the match the next day, but they are still playing with 6 wickets down Roll Eyes.

So why didn't you spare the amount and nominate yourself in the pool till now ? Also how can you be so sure that there will be be no sponsor this time around ? In the free pool last year there were around 20 members so i doubt you will make it to ten players with paid pool.
Is it not too obvious to understand that i am willing to spare 0.001BTC for the pool, do you really want to have an agreement to understand that . Oh well since some of you have difficulty in understanding things, i am willing to give 0.001BTC as pool entry , hope you are happy now because i made things easier so that even kids would understand Wink.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: December 13, 2019, 04:18:42 PM

As i remember this for last year, it was free to join. So why are you asking for the bucks to join this year ? I think you should again start a superbru pool and volunteers will submit thier donations for the pool. This way more people will be able to join and it will be more fun.
There were sponsors and volunteers last year and if you are not able to get the sponsors then what is the point in running a competition and hence a nominal fee does not hurt anyone, even if the joining fee will be 0.001BTC and if we have ten players then it will be a decent amount that goes to the winner and anyone can spare those amounts i guess.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 13, 2019, 04:00:35 PM
This isn't happening only with South Africa. There'll be politics in each and every country's cricket board. In countries like India there is politics, but they create reasons and give retirement ans at times keeps players on rest. From India we can see large number of players getting their names on teams like UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and so on. One such player of India making big records from another country is Muthiah Muralidaran.
The problem with India is the huge amount of population and it is not that easy to get into the team and majority of the players who play for UAE might not be migrating to UAE to play cricket initially but they will eventually play for the country if they are able to perform in club tournaments but i am not sure about the rest of the countries.

FYI Muttiah Muralitharan is born and brought up in Sri Lanka and you cannot call all these players moving out and if you are going to view as such then you will not find any players in any team as there is a lot of migration that happened in the last 200 years Tongue.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 13, 2019, 02:47:38 PM
The selection of Rishabh Pant is getting very controversial these days. Keralites are not happy, because they think that Virat Kohli, being a Delhiite is giving chances to Pant because he is also from the same state. Those fans from Bihar wants Ishan Kishan to fill the position. And if MSK Prasad has his way, then some sub-standard player from Andhra will come up as the replacement for Dhoni.
It is true that keralites are not happy with the team selection, if you look at the amount of exposure and opportunity Pant is getting even with constant failures is frustrating as if there are no other players in India to be picked in that position and Pant might be getting the nod every time may be because they are from the same state, the reason why there is a huge cry for Sanju Samson is because there are not much players that are in contention to play for India but Samson is performing really well for a long time and still he is neglected.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 13, 2019, 02:20:39 PM
^^^ Now I am not going to say that Samson deserves the spot better than Pant. It is up to the selectors to decide. But are the selectors doing their job without any bias? I remember the incident in which Hanuma Vihari was picked over Karun Nair, when the latter was in good form. And it didn't surprised me back then, because MSK Prasad (chief selector of the Indian National Cricket Team) came from the same state board as Vihari.
It is the biased decision of the selectors, Sanju Samson was selected for two T20 series and that too against weaker opponents and still if you are not getting a chance to play the game what do you call that, people are selected just to supply water and warm the bench Roll Eyes. They could have selected the retired Sachin Tendulkar instead to have a high morale instead of selecting a player just to view the match live in the stadium Tongue .
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 13, 2019, 01:44:17 PM
Australia is Australia. Messing around them is not easy :-P
New Zealand is struggling as they lost half their side within 30 overs and they sent out a night watchman and he just lasted one ball Cheesy. Ross Taylor and Watling are the proper batsman left and they will be playing to avoid the follow on and Australia just proved that they are undefeated at home except against India  Cheesy. There more days to go and we will have a result in this match.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 12, 2019, 04:18:50 PM
The cooling period should be towards England not for Ireland if that such exist then only the country cannot recruit the players until the next cooling period. So England cannot select any players from another country for the next four players so we can stop talent selling. Cheesy
I do not think that these cooling period was created to aide England but the GCC countries especially UAE and other Arab nations as the players are hired mercenaries as none of the people from their country are playing for their national team and all of the team members are filled with players from India, Pakistan and other countries and i guess these leeway rules are made to help them rather than other countries, but then if there is a loophole then other countries will take advantage of it.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 12, 2019, 03:49:23 PM
You just criticized him because of his losses, think about the good thing that he performed in the octagon. He defeated Jose Aldo who is a champion for more that six years in just 13 seconds. Imagine that.
If you are talking a lot of shit then you are bound to listen to these critics too and that is the case with Conor McGregor he talked a lot of trash and yet he got defeated in his fight against Mayweather and then against Khabib and the level of trash talking in both these fights were personal because Conor knew it was the toughest opponents in his career and when you get smashed single handily then expect the trolls having a life on its own Cheesy.

Don't criticize his performance this year, maybe sooner or later he regain from losses and dominate all fighters.
If he is able to do that it is great for his career and the fight fans as we will see more fights from him and there is no doubt he changed the fight game.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 12, 2019, 02:52:32 PM
Indian fans have this problem. I didn't watch game so not aware of this particular incident . As far as i noticed fans were booing Rishab Pant and Virat came in his defense followed by some statement during the press conference. this thingy happened against Bangladesh too when fans were chanting Dhoni.
I said this in this forum, if Sanju Samson was not selected in the match played in Kerala the entire team will be booed and on top of that they lost the match, just imagine the response they got and my friends were in the stadium and i knew they were planning to boo Pant and Kohli and the team management if he was not selected and so is the reason i predicted that here in this forum  Cheesy.

this is where i predicted how the fans will behave .

998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 12, 2019, 02:14:38 PM
India always had an issue with the bowling department. They never had good strike bowlers as in India kids prefer to bat more than bowl. You will always find plenty of spinners but rarely you will find a good medium pacer or a fast bowler. I think they should give more chance to Md Shammi.
I am sure you are talking about your own experience when you were a kid that you prefer to bat rather than to bowl and so does majority of the kids but when you look at the current Indian team they have the best bowling line up, in T20 they might go for runs and they have the batsman to back the bowlers and the last match against West Indies was a prime example.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 12, 2019, 07:15:27 AM
First test between OZ and Nz in Oz have begun and Australia won the toss and decided to bat first . This is the day night test match and Oz are now 18 for no loss . Ferguson from NZ who is fast bowler has made debut in this match .
Australia lost two wickets and first one was an unfortunate decision and Burns did not go for the review as the ball was clearly missing the leg stump and  Warner got out because of a brilliant catch by Wagner, Ferguson made his debut but he was taken apart by the Australian batsman and hence he just bowled 4 overs and finally Smith gets the opportunity to bat and hopefully his form continues in this match.

The so called T20 super powers are now reeling from the onslaught from Sharma/Kohli/Rahul.
It was a real onslaught and they destroyed the West Indies bowlers, even though KL Rahul missed his century, Kohli just made look batting easy as he was clearing the ropes with ease and now West Indies lost their second wicket and there is no way they are going to chase this total and India will win the series with more drama as they lost one T20 and hence this is not a dead rubber.

Edit:
West Indies lost their third wicket and it was a great catch by Dube.
