Auroracoin is more expensive only because it was the first country-scam-coin. It still retains some speculative pumping from non-Icelanders, but only because it came first. The main problem with Auroracoin, Spaincoin and the like is that their airdrops are not fair at all and do not promote any growth in coin adoption. They promise equal distribution among citizens -- this is their only real advantage over bitcoin -- but they are instead shared between the earliest adopters only (except the small breadcrumbs left for mining). This is quite similar to the case of the distribution of Counterparty: Its devs claim that XCP were fairly distributed because users claimed them through burning bitcoins. However, once I learned about it (it hit the frontpage) and was willing to burn my bitcoins, I discovered that it was no longer possible. Top-earliest-adopters get all; how could this ever be fair? The only justification for an early airdrop is that, before it takes place, the coin is heavily centralized (why the launch should then precede the airdrop escapes me though). Spaincoin for example has the worse of both worlds: most of the coins will be distributed by the end of this month, yet small portions will be left in dev's hands for an unspecified time. National coins will not succeed unless they are truly distributed among the people. If it is just to the earliest adopters, there will not ever be any newer adopters. However, this can be entirely avoided. OP, could you please say word or two about what I proposed?: A somewhat more radical approach to achieve mass adoption and fair distribution would be to avoid any airdrop at all. You could simply pre-assign an equal share of coins to every person (based on DNI or government-issued certificates): the monetary base will proportionally scale with coin adoption, i.e., no rational reason for speculative hoarding nor for dumping (guaranteed scarcity).
This can be made by relaunching without the premine and with a protocol modification instead: at any block, a coinbase can be generated through proof-of-identity, which is essentially showing an unseen ID number and its valid signature. Fraud is not possible as long as the ID issuer can re-issue certificates but always to the same ID number (yes, Spain is a tightly controlled police state). Theft is possible, but it implies stealing the certificate token and its passphrase (i.e., a full extent identity theft).
Most importantly, we do not need to check for expired or revoked certificates at mining time: we can let some nodes do the DB queries and let them issue proofs of revocation before the coinbase maturity for a small reward (to avoid spam, these proofs of revocation would need to burn some coins and be rewarded only if the miner confirms the revocation; also, blocks include only one such transaction per certificate - the rest are rejected without burning or reward).
Couldn't have said it better in any way. Nation coin hype is over , better look the other way. But i will still keep some hope for one of them

Good old volume at Huobi. Breakout this time or another dump ahead?
Look at the last 20 times or so and take a guess. It won't happen this time .

How the hell will a 25% fee on profit be larger than the revenue?
75% of profit is not profit at all, it won't even cover the bribes... sorry, lobbying. I was referring strictly to the numbers the article claimed.. Let's not mention "hidden cost or gifts or travel expenses" here. I haven't heard of a situation where 1/4 of the profit can be larger than the revenue. If we're dealing with the same definitions , profit can't be itself larger than revenue.. so wtf?

I would prefer if 247crypto collated his messages and provided at least English summary titles to the videos he links to, if only to make later searching easier. A collection of links, without any indication what they refer to is rather worthless, even if the documentary footage is meant to capture the events for the posterity.
And this ain't gonna happen! I think we asked him a few times to do so , and , he keeps doing his "job" the same way I purposely used the word JOB ))

Putin just said it will not happen. He is not known to back off on his statements:http://rt.com/business/159200-ukraine-gas-russia-payment/The other scenario that you mentioned is more likely: Ukraine fragmenting and falling apart so much that there is no one left to pay the debt, in which case IMF suggests "default and debt restructuring". Well , getting my popcorn ready

I don't think it makes sense to try to 'save' this coin.
I disagree!I agree , but not to your post . Why bother with a coin that failed when there are 100 born every month that claim they will bring the same changes to the world.

This operation has apparently backfired. There have been 49 altcoin launches in May so far: http://altcoinherald.com/altcoin-launch-calendar/There are 15 more scheduled for launch. (There are probably more, we keep looking) It looks like this month could end up with 120 or more launches if current trends continue. That's a lotta altcoins! with only 49 coins launched , I call this a success. I was expected around 200-300 a month this summer.

Smiling yet I mean it. Forexcoin is an easy to market name (once there is larger team at it). Once we can add services brand recognition is likely to rise. Forex can also mean international trade aka crypto currency used in eCommerce. There are many possibilities. Also alot depends on forexcoiners interest and willingness to participate. Is BTC-E guaranteed? No. Can Forexcoin be added to BTC-E? Yes. If you read roadmap you see its a long term coin. And I said at the start its also a coin for people who really like crypto currencies. You want some cool features added? Post requests here And we can see what we can do. btc-e, are you kidding?
Honestly . I think you're either joking or you don't have a clue what you;re talking about...

Except there are not jobs all over and some people don't have the means to travel the world to go where they can. There are never enough jobs for everyone so there's always people that get left out, but fuck the little people, right? Without minimum wage laws set etc, many places that hired unskilled workers would completely exploit everyone they could. Illegal immigrants would flock to all these employers who pay peanuts forcing everyone else out of a job, and then even more people who are willing to work for a little bit less would then force them out a job and the cycle continues until people are practically working for free.
So , this is what happened in Germany? I think it is not even close to your predicament

What happened? With all the awesome free publicity surrounding the doge nascar car you would have thought the price would rise Could it be that ~100 satoshi is actually the base amount, the real value of doge? It wouldn't be a bad thing it means the doge currency stabilized and you can trust on it not going down much. What do you think? It just means that is the most those publicity stunts can bring in. I also commented earlier that there is need for another step to help doge continue to grow

I've made a statistics. It's about the total number of top and btc at a certain price range. Here's the result.
Price Range(satoshi) SUM(topcoin) SUM(btc) 2--5 1664742611/1.66 billion 53.9320861 2--10 2619212081/2.62 billlion 129.7255694 2--30 3557886023/3.56 billion 296.6459871 2--360 3592328906/3.59 billion 316.5013457
You see, Most sell order is below 30 satoshi, and there's almost no topcoin sell order between 30 and 360 .
Perhaps the best choice for us is to build a great buy wall @1 and buy up the @1 dumper’s coin. It's always hard to pump the coin with so many coin out there in the hands of those who want to quit.
Go with this plan and people will just take advantage of it Lot's of them will buy at 1 and dump and 3 and in the end you'll be back to square 1 but will less cash in your pockets.

PEC dead ?? Pretty much. Only 11 blocks have been generated by the network in the past 3 months, and the last block was minted more than 2 months ago. I'm surprised I'm still connected to 6 peers. Actually I have't run yet across a coin with no peers , even tenebrix is still alive as I heard. Yeah but is it stuck at a high difficulty (relative to actual mining activity) like PEC is? PEC will adjust difficulty in around 173 blocks; at 1MH/s finding those 173 blocks will take more than 4 months. No one is going to bother wasting their hashes. PEC dead? my wallet not sync You probably are synced, it's just that the network is not finding any more blocks. No blocks found for 2 months, no PoS to allow transactions to be carried if PoW doesn't work, this coin is done... In fine months maybe asics will become that cheap somebody will be able to push 10gh into the coin , you never know... I see killing a coin far harder than killing a torrent.

Hoooooey! Looking at the images on RT, it seems I missed a widescale rebellion in my own country! I think there were far more protesters at this one: http://www.bbc.com/news/business-27433801Besides , from the same article you mentioned : “Last October,‘10,000’ truckers were reportedly on their way to literally clog the Beltway and shut down traffic in protest of Washington politics,” Abby Ohlhiser wrote for The Wire on Thursday this week. “In reality, about 30 truckers showed up, and they caused no delays worth mentioning.”

Any guess when the wallets start syncing?
When the dev will comeback (again) and some nodes will start working also. But is dead silent at the moment.
