And, I'm fully synced. So, another lovely blockchain switch, and I'm rewarded with losing half my stack. Lovely coin this.
If the coins you lost came from staking, I think your wallet won't recognize them as staked and will attempt to stake them again--unless I'm missing something. Are you actively staking now? You may be OK in the end, just delayed. |

I have 4 blocks at about 1.87 seed that have 1158-1159 confirmations. Would it be better to let them stake now or wait till 5 am UTC to let them stake? I still have the reserve set.
The really important determining factor is the age of the coins. They won't stake until they are 24 hours old regardless of confirmation numbers. My wallet is staking now (I have a couple blocks up that are close enough to 1 that it's not worth worrying about. They've been staking for at least an hour but haven't yet gotten their reward. If your oldest blocks reach maturity within an hour or two of the counter running out, they may still successfully stake right after the fix takes effect. If they stake before the fix takes effect then you won't get the full 267 percent. The risk of holding off on staking until after the counter runs out is that you might not get your last growth stake in. Your call  So will blocks above 1 stake properly now or do we have to wait for the count down?

Just went from 1.4 to 1.5, and my coin balance went from 8.81 to 4.78 --> W T F  Is your wallet fully synced? |

Just a friendly reminder... if anyone set their reserve balances to the whole number, be sure to change that back unless you are intending to stake that way until the fix takes effect.

If you get an error you need to get 1.0.5 and delete the stuff in %appdata%/seedcoin except for your wallet.dat file
This will not happen again. I'm not touching the staking algo again, or anything else that effects the network, and any core updates will be thoroughly tested over the course of several weeks before release, and there will be months of lead time to get the correct version.

Since others are staking with version 5, then I'm unlocking. It seems the latest is that we all have to go along with v. 5 because that's what BitTrex is on.
Cryptzo, if staking with v. 5 is bad, though, please say so. It's hard to know what's best right now. I'm sure you're working on it.

So I'm back up to running version 5. The BIG question is: Do I keep it locked? Or can I stake with it right now?

So what do we need to do, actually? Run version 5 but keep it locked until further notice? Yes, this is a shitshow, but I just pulled some strings with bittrex, and if everyone with 1.0.5 doesn't lock their wallet then they could end up on the wrong chain and we are at risk of being delisted.
A few questions and a suggestion: Is it OK to stake with version 4, until the counter runs out? At that point, do we just switch back to version 5 and start staking again? You might want to contact this exchange about listing seed: https://btc-market.org/ They are relatively new but fairly willing to list quickly. I'd ask myself but you probably need to work with him directly so it can be as painless as possible for him. Best time to list might be around the time the counter runs out and everything is running well with version 5. Hopefully all goes well with BitTrex, but it doesn't hurt to have some other exchanges on board. Alright. Here's the situation. People are staking into a new fork with the new wallets. The new wallets fork into this chain. I know it's a shitshow guys, but I think our only choice is to roll with it and get everyone updated to 1.0.5 asap. Once everyone's updated, then the 1.0.5's can stake. I don't honestly know why 1.0.4's aren't accepting 1.0.5 blocks. But they're not. With 'trex updating to 1.0.5 now, there's just no choice. We have to go with it. I know I've been knee-jerking into trying to fix everything, but the fact is 1.0.5 has gone off on it's own fork, and we either all need to join up on it, or that's pretty much it. |

If everyone could lock their 1.0.5 wallets, or set their reservebalance for more coins than they have, or revert to the 1.0.4 wallets until later on, I'd really appreciate it. Sorry about this.
OK, I'm back on version 4. I'd like to keep staking (or trying to). Fortunately I hadn't deleted the version 4 wallet yet. I found the countdown, btw. Sorry I missed it before. So, when the countdown expires, do I just switch back over to version 5? |

is anyone staking successfully with the new wallets?
If they're not, I just have to ask that you lock your wallets or use the 1.0.4's for now. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I wont be updating the code again. There's been too much trouble already. If people want them, I can post 1.0.4's in the meantime, but you'll have to change back over to 1.0.5 before the countdown ends.
I haven't staked yet, but it's only been less than an hour since I updated. I'm not going back. This will all work properly once the countdown ends, right? I can just wait with my version 5 until then. Can you please post a countdown to when your latest fix takes effect like you did last time? |

Guys, just do yourselves a favor and click where I show you in the picture (but don't click the picture).  It will really help you clean the garbage.  +1 I generally like it when the ANN threads stick to updates and support for those who choose to use the coin. We've already made our decision and that's why we're here. As others have said, those who don't like or believe in this coin aren't being forced to be here. And those of us who do like this coin aren't going to respond too well to even the best efforts to save us from ourselves I've made epic investment mistakes before. This could be another one. But that's something I'm willing to live with. I appreciate the concern, but I don't need to be repeatedly warned of the dangers of losing my investment. I get that. I'm still in. I ignore everyone who has nothing to add to this thread but FUD. The technical support here has been phenomenal. My wallet is back up and synced and staking... and if network weight is any indicator, so are lots of other wallets |

I installed this revision 5. I did delete everything and found that I had to restart the application a few times for it to sync. When it stalled on a block I would just restart and it would start processing again. This isn't the only wallet that has that Feature!!!

I am also having problems getting the latest wallet to sync.. I have been waiting for like one hour now and it is at around 30% synced.. Last time i just waited it out and i hope this one does too.. But right now time is money :/
I'm in the waiting game too. The part that worries me is I'm not seeing any progress. But I have seen this before. Please post something as soon as your wallet syncs (or doesn't). |

I know this is hindsight 20/20 but one thing I would have done differently is that when the team sent out all those PMs with everyone's NEM tokens, to have also pasted in a statement saying something like "you have x days to register your token or you risk losing it" and a link to directions.
I left the link out intentionally as it would have been even more prone to scamming. This way we could tell people that we won't be sending links and keep them from expecting and naivly clicking on any links. No specific date has been communicated because there is no specific date yet. We said it was going to be at least a month. We're preparing a lot behind the scenes and if that takes a little longer then so will the redemption. Good point about the links. I'd already forgotten about that earlier phishing attempt. |
