1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Metamask To Start Collecting IP Addresses and Wallet Addresses Of Users on: November 27, 2022, 11:36:50 PM
They have been collecting people's data anyway the whole time they have been operating, only that people didn't notice it, perhaps.

Look at the archived version of the privacy policy from last year for example (http://web.archive.org/web/20210414104013/https://consensys.net/privacy-policy/)
They probably just made a few specifications that whoever uses their default RPC will have their data collected
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: November 27, 2022, 11:03:06 PM
When I was new to cryptocurrency I was totally ignorant about market prediction, volume, future plans.  Then I invested in some cryptocurrencies.  After a few days of investment, I made quite a few dollars.  But due to little knowledge about the market and excessive greed, I did not sell the crypto currencies I invested in the market at that time.  So currently I am at a loss of $14000.  Now I have no alternative but to wait for a long time.
I learned my lesson back in 2017-2018

Just so you know, some of the tokens you are holding will never return to a new all-time high. Some others will continue all the way to zero. Don't bee too hopeful with the shitcoins. Only hold coins that are solid like Bitcoin
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RUBLIX good to buy at 1 sat ? 1066.88% APY profit ! on: November 27, 2022, 10:51:33 PM
>>snip<<
Another scam with an unrealistic APY, worst of it, it's available only in Yobit, a shady exchange  Grin

Who do you think you are going to fool here into buying your scam tokens with no value at all or no guarantee of existing after 6 months?
1644  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How BetFury turned into a SCAM (evidence included). 3 reasons to leave... on: November 27, 2022, 10:25:16 PM
How is this related to Bitcoin discussion?

Please move to scam accusations or gambling board.

Secondly, if you are going to share what happened in this forum, then don't direct us to read the details through your external link. It's not a smart move.
1645  Economy / Lending / Re: Can anyone help with 0.5 btc until January 15'th on: November 26, 2022, 11:17:49 PM
I'm sorry, but I'm not flaunting what I have until someone can give me some sort of detail on what they can do for how much collateral and how much interest.

That's all Smiley

Good luck with getting an offer in this thread from any serious lender.

Perhaps, since you don't want to flaunt what you have, then consider checking out the different lenders threads in this board. You will be able to see what they offer, the kind of collateral they need and other terms and conditions. There you get to choose what you like.
1646  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining Profitable in 2022? on: November 26, 2022, 10:56:08 PM
Hi guys I was reading news that for the first time Bitcoin mining has not been profitable for the big miners who run millions of dollars of machines and that sucks to them.
It depends on one's electricity cost but yes profitability has dropped from the times when the Bitcoin price was moving towards the all-time high. This was bound to happen, as it has been every bear market

In my opinion that Ethereum mining is also not profitable.
Looks like you have not be following. Ethereum mining is now history.
1647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit not paying out YoFarm Rewards. on: November 26, 2022, 10:45:05 PM
Does anyone have similar experience whith Yobit?
ElBiasto, you have been in these streets since 2018, how come you didn't know that keeping your money in an exchange let a lone an exchange like yobit is not a safe practice at all. You are actually even lucky that you got out your funds

The exchange is a big mess, very poor non-responsive support, very high withdrawal fees and endless wallet maintenances (the reason they give for you not to be able to withdraw) for various coins
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchangers delisting but with too short notice on: November 24, 2022, 11:56:53 PM
For example binance delisting leverage up down tokens.
Many traders bought up coins by dca the dollar Cost average way so becouse market not stay that low forever.
Who the Hell DCA's leveraged tokens or even holds them for long?
Have you ever traded leveraged tokens? If you try holding them for long even if your position was initially profitable, you end up losing all your profits

Quote
The problem is they cant delist high leverage tokens with so short notice people have bought a lot of them.
This is not the first time they delisted them anyway, people really need to first learn where they are going to put money instead of making rush investments while ignorant.

Quote
I know people who have invested like life savings in exchangers and now it's all gone.
Because they were so stupid to trust centralized exchanges. Next time they will learn to use noncustodial wallets

Quote
If some low Cap new coins we can understood but leverage tokens Are the dublicates of biggger coins Like eth btc If nothing happens with btc or ETH dot trx then there should be no reason to delist dot or trx.
The point is the very high volatility in the crypto market. Even Bitcoin gets so volatile at times and people lose a lot of money. Delisting the shit leveraged tokens is the nest solution.
1649  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bisq - Exchange, Decentralized. on: November 24, 2022, 11:45:33 PM
Can someone help explain why there are such high premiums on Bisq for BTC vs USD?
Why aren't people taking advantage of the price differences?
Could it be that there's a problem with the payment methods (Pardon me please, I have never used Zwelle  Wink)? Perhaps cashing out is hard?
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Revolut on: November 24, 2022, 11:23:37 PM
Ah ok - So they all have fees. Basically I just want to be able to get cash quickly for the investment without taking out £500 a day for however long 😂. And getting ripped off with high fees. Thanks guys.
Then look for a better alternative. There are so many crypto exchanges out there that allow one to withdraw  very high limits if you don't mind carrying out KYC verification. There are also peer to peer exchanges like bisq that don't require any KYC, but you need to first know how they work (https://bisq.network).
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: usdt-trc20 wallet anonymus, without KYC. Possible ? on: November 24, 2022, 11:00:55 PM
Anonymity? I doubt since a number of wallets can still collect personal data such as IP addresses. But if you need a wallet that does not require KYC, then It's possible if you use a noncustodial wallet like

Hardware wallet should be your first choice such as Ledger Nano x

Software wallet such as

- Trustwallet
- Exodus
- ImToken
- TronLink
- Atomic wallet
- Safepal
- Jaxx liberty

Make sure you back you your seeds
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: So much for PoS from PoW for ETH on: November 24, 2022, 10:40:41 PM
Today I was scrolling the internet when I read an article about how bad the management of Ethereum Foundation is,they said that at first the people who would stake 32 ETH who would act as validators for the transactions they would get the rewards for doing such verification once every 6 months, then they said it would be about 6 months to 1 year and lately they said that these people who staked ETH will not get rewards before 2024 by validating transactions and nor can they withdraw their ETH or anything.
I have been following ETH so much especially after going POS

Why do they keep extending reward payment further?

Does this not show a complete failure of PoS against PoW?What about the next ETH,who will it be,ETC,ERGO,RVN or ETHW as I don't see any other alternative except this ones.Nevertheless mining is much better than staking as we are seeing with Ethereum and the bullshit of saving energy is just that bullshit,PoW is and will always be the winner between these two protocols.
Obviously, it would only be those who are less informed that would think that POS is better than POW

Here is my favorite,

The assholes of that time, 1996 to be exact, behind Governments, tried to even ban Internet phone software, but it all turned out a fail  Grin
If they failed to ban a centralized service, then how on earth will they manage to ban a decentralized network? Never!

In 1996, the regulatory bodies tried to ban Internet phone software, the rest is history  Grin

1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Mobile Apps on PC on: November 22, 2022, 11:16:18 PM
Android emulators are not secured for crypto wallets do not download emulator to use a crypto wallet, you have been warned.
Windows 11 now has a portal that one can use to run their android apps. It's called Windows Subsystem for Android Settings. I don't know about windows 10 but I am running a few android apps on my Windows 11 though there is still room for improvement.

You already have a PC so download Metamask or Trust wallet as these two wallets are available for PC/Computer users.
What if they don't want to use browser extensions or add-ons?
1655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Affiliate signature campaign on: November 22, 2022, 10:58:59 PM
Tricky!

Good for the company if people register through the affiliate link and deposit. Bad for a participant if no one ever users his affiliate link  Grin
It's like saying, I will only pay you if you advertise and bring in a customer through your referral.

I think it will also encourage shilling around the forum, which is unnecessary according to most members... More like, "Hey, there's this excellent casino, please sign up using the link in my signature"
1656  Other / Meta / Re: Question about ban and hopeful reversal on: November 22, 2022, 09:45:22 PM
Why did you use Mega.nz links, for starters?
Most members who spread malware here use Mega.nz, and they get flagged and banned as soon as possible

Also, I took time to download the Windows file and 39 AV engines flagged as malicious. Now, I know there are some false positives and false negatives when it comes to virus total, but 39/64 AV engines? That's quite a number.

1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Posting about new miner on: November 22, 2022, 09:26:36 PM
I have just checked out his post and it contains mega links. Most people attempting to spread malware use mega links. Why didn't he use a direct link from the GitHub repository?

So he should create new account, isnt that like ban evasion or whatever if he was already banned? How is that different from what he already did from sending mail to bitcointalk ppl? so they never read their mails and thats why he should post in forum where they actually read stuff?
It's allowed. It only becomes ban evasion when he uses the new account to post outside the appeal thread in Meta.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Posting about new miner on: November 21, 2022, 11:52:17 PM
I'm talking about Delgon. If you are mining RTM and are on Discord, you know him. It is his miner that is linked on the official Raptoreum website. You can search him and bitcointalk where he talks about how he got banned for his one and only post about cpuminer-gr.
Maybe you should post his bitcointalk profile link here so that we can tell why he got banned

I saw that post but it is hard to give more "proof" as mods just deleted the post and banned him. It was his only post so hard for it to be related to something else. What is weird imo that there is no way of communication for him with mods or whatever to explain or so the mods can give some info.
he can create another profile and use it only to appeal in meta. I have seen people get unbanned before

There are some 3rd party sites that archive. We will be able to see the post even if it was deleted by the mods
1659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: November 21, 2022, 11:12:39 PM
Anyone know whether Bitfinex uses AML and if so, under which agency or jurisdiction?
Sure, if you look through their terms and policies, yes to perform KYC verification and have an AML policy in place.

Under their privacy policy
for AML, they use a company called AU10TIX Ltd (https://www.au10tix.com/privacy-notice) that they claim is located in Isreal but as per the website of the company, they say their postal address in Cyprus

Quote
Full name of legal entity: Au10tix Ltd.
Email address: DPO@Au10tix.com
Postal address: 32 Spyrou Kyprianou Ave., 2nd Floor, CY-1075 Nicosia, Cyprus

At this point, I am not sure who's correct and who's wrong.
1660  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: November 21, 2022, 10:42:31 PM
Tor version should be top priority.

I don't trust clearnet any bit when it comes to mixing Bitcoins. This is how mixers get taken down or get spied on by Governments for months.

So, it is not a free mixing service. Right?
Obviously though their FAQs are not clear about fees, but they are displayed in the mixing page

Also, what are the minimum & maximum value that you can mix at one go?
They only display a minimum of 0.002 BTC in the sending address page, No idea about the maximum. I Wonder it they would mix 100,000 BTC at once  Grin
