You can always buy it from coinbase, if you are from the u.s. If not, then go with bitstamp for btc. For the doge coin you have cryptsy, but theres a way to do this using paypal.

You use your credit card to invoice your friend to you. Then you pay, then use your friends account to transfer that amount back to you. You just have to wait 5 business days this way.

Its pretty hard to get people to stay active being your referral. I had about 20 people under me with freebitco.in and they all one day slowly just not caring anymore, even when I put good incentives like a raffle time setup.

I had about .1 btc to give out every month, but never really fell through. That and people are just really lazy..
