1281  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CyberGhost 5 VPN Premium key for 1 device 3 month only 0.50 USD on: July 29, 2015, 03:59:48 AM
seems like hell of a deal, and I might consider this once my vpn expires soon.

do you know if the IP`s given on the vpn provider has most banned ip`s? or are most of them clean.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 27, 2015, 09:41:00 PM
I say it only sucks if the person was lazy for their own security like the whole stealing phone concept.

And they have the blockchain app connected all the time.
1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing! Is this the beginning of the end for bitcoins? on: July 27, 2015, 09:34:23 PM

Pricing isnt based on a indiviuals buying power, unless youre a super whale.

Its more of the market in reacting the PR or other elements. Threads like this cant get enough traction to effect price unless this was on a reddit top page or something related lol.
1284  Economy / Economics / Re: relationship of bitcoin prices and mining price on: July 27, 2015, 09:11:09 PM
well despite the mining cost to mine for bitcoin.

arent the miners needed regardless if they mine for bitcoins or not, since bitcoins rely on miners to find the transaction log?
yeah if no one would mine there would be no new blocks found and people would not be able to use bitcoins, though its kinda impossible right now as a lot of people invested in mining equipment and they wouldnt quit

There should always be enough miners because of transactions fees.

That was Satoshi's vision.. that at some point when bitcoin has mass appeal and wide use with orders of magnitude more transactions per day than today, that at some point the tx fees will surpass the block reward for "total miner reward per block". Maybe this will be when the block reward is 6.25 or 3.125.. It is certainly possible in the future when the block reward is 3.125 that fees might equal 10 BTC per block = 13.125 total miner reward ! (right now total miner reward is averaging around 25.13 BTC per block).

Yeah, but that means we need to increase the block size no?

And if we dont that just means we`ll have transactions to be clogged up or taking way too long for even non-daily stuff. Like any purchases etc.
1285  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 27, 2015, 09:09:46 PM
Helped I guess...

One should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER put so much money into BTC that it ruins your life.. EVER.

I've gotten decimated by the market but BTC has allowed me to donate to many things I believe in and has taught me SO much about cryptology it's crazy.

I`m sure 90% of the forum felt that before.

And yeah, its probably the worst feeling ever like how you lose at a casino. As for ruining your life comment, you should always think back on crazier people like the one who bought at $1k price or the fact the person sold his house for bitcoin.. remember that one?
1286  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350+ within 2 weeks on: July 27, 2015, 09:05:03 PM
Id agree this madness.

Since its been forever and I saw bitcoin in the mid 200`s for the longest, then rising.. so I say maybe lower 300`s should be right.

Only saying that since it took awhile alone for the 200`s to be in the higher 290ish.
1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a quiet redistribution / accumulation going on? on: July 27, 2015, 08:59:35 PM
I can imagine a bit of both accumulation and distribution; that is to say, much like many other markets.

I think there will be the 99% / 1% kind of distribution all over again.  Average people in a decade will likely be buying in mBTC while there are a couple of large holder companies that have been collecting all along without trying to disturb the public market.  As I write that it reminds me of the gold market.

This.

Average Joe bitcoiners see the price doing nothing, so they do nothing (i.e., don't buy, don't accumulate).  But they are mistaken to think that MM's, large institutions, banks, etc. are not quietly accumulating right now.  It's easy for them to accumulate off exchange directly from large miners (or perhaps they ARE the large miners? Hmm?) without moving the market one iota.  Then they will run it up when they are ready.  This happens in pretty much every equity/asset market on the planet.

This is why over time in the future the majority of Bitcoin will likely be owned by the 1% wealthy oligarchs.  Because Average Joes are just completely ignorant of how the financial world really works.

You don't get wealthy doing nothing. There is always the "smart money". Free of politics, superstition, wacko conspiracy theories; people who look at math rather than opinion. When the price goes up I'm sure they will all be accused of cheating somehow.  In reality they outplay the competition.

Anyone thinking that doing nothing to get rich needs a reality check lol.

Input = Output

Which is the basics of anything on how the individuals should look at. You`ll smart money comes in different forms as well, like how a gambling site can say fair play, but its how they cheat you out without you noticing which is obviously "increasing decks" or something else that puts them win situation all the time.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: July 27, 2015, 08:25:55 PM
people seem to think that the halving will reduce sell pressure from mining farms, even though theres evidence to suggest that a lot of these mining farms that are actual businesses that dont sell bitcoin (e.g. bitfury, 21inc) i think nothing will happen.

if you guys want the price to increase, stop trading bitcoin on shit websites.

Can't wait for Gemini.

If we obviously cant wait for gemini, we just have to hold strong until they do start.

Theres really of no choice at this point since there are only so many exchanges available to us. All we can do is hope the prices hold until they launch and expect a bigger outcome to increase the value for the days we waited so it makes up for it.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: July 27, 2015, 08:23:13 PM
Id assume they launch it at the same time, so it benefits for both sides to traditional investors as well.

Since they offer up the exchange they prob have something on the site where traditional investors eventually buy it from their exchange as well.
1290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a quiet redistribution / accumulation going on? on: July 27, 2015, 08:19:52 PM
Regardless if there was a reditrubution or not, its going to be used constantly for gambling casino site w. and without bitcoin sites.

Its a money transmitter, that fact alone is enough for me to continue holding like how ATT&T bought out all the towers before taking over western union. But in this case, you get a piece of the pie. It may not make sense now, but if a company like amazon decides to buy a good amount and setup something similar prepare to get a amazon check for getting bought out.
1291  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am short... on: July 27, 2015, 08:13:06 PM
I`d hold.

Its at 295 now, and I rarely check prices. I probably check em every 1 time out of the whole week which is every monday.

But, its based on where this volume dump is coming from.. obviously im in a different approach with bitcoin.

1292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt Gox hackers selling off their $650 million - is that keeping price down? on: July 27, 2015, 08:00:11 PM
Selling them has and will take a while - what will happen to the price when they finish selling them?

I think we are probably past this stage by now dont you think? looks like the market has turned around i also cant imagine that they would sell all the coins, how much money do hackers need in one year to live?

You never know, some people like new faces who arent aware of the whole mt.gox story are uninformed.

As for the hackers of having money in 1 year, they really dont if they are that good. They can hit multiple atm locations at once and cash out when they need to. This happened to citi bank, there was article but im sure you can google it.
1293  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon gift codes for sale. Up to $1300 on: July 27, 2015, 07:55:47 PM
Are you breaking small amounts then $193.

I dont want that much, since I`m buying something not $193 its like $50ish range. Just have to ask, let me know.

If not I`ll just buy it from gyft.
1294  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Turn $1-$100 starbucks purchases into cash when returning them (Guide) $125 ONLY on: July 27, 2015, 07:53:13 PM
Let me guess, cause I dont know if its all starbucks but when you buy something online and return stores its possible to get cash if the item is low enough?

Or getting the starbucks card split $10 each on them for a total of $100. And ask for a cash out since its state law of $10 or less.
1295  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin eBay auctions on: July 22, 2015, 01:11:11 AM

Good to see physical hardware.. but its a shame its only for local pick up.

if youre owner of that listing, why not just consider sucking up the loss for the shipping cause its better to sell it quick then hold on to it.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: July 22, 2015, 01:08:13 AM
i think this year will be critical..  by the end of this year we will know if bitcoin will rule or if will die.

this year? lol.

I say its critical everyday since the price point always seems to go up and down. But, in general bitcoin has so much VC funded projects I doubt it would die.

Unless its a repeat of a dot com boom.
1297  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 22, 2015, 01:04:25 AM
It actually help me out, cause I was actually seeing a documentary at the time.

And it was based on the recent bail out with the 2008 financial mess, and felt theres no resolution until I saw bitcoin.  Smiley

1298  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: July 22, 2015, 12:56:00 AM
I mean it can only go upwards, I just saw a recent statement with the okcupid founders the popular dating app.

they personally got VC`s to back up their own "small project" which they claim. So you see more and more money being pumped to bitcoins community.
1299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say Goodbye to Greece... on: July 22, 2015, 12:46:36 AM

The Greece is safe for now. No goodbye for the moment. No one know for how much time but for the moment, another time in their story, Greeks found a way to stay in the surface. They had their life jacket and can survive. But how much time this will last???

Safe for now, but I feel like everything is a delayed ticking bomb waiting to explode in their faces.

Its a matter how they see resolve of what needs to happen to make a "dream" growth to have other foreign countries to bring their business there.

Similar how china does it with the u.s and made their own country to have more middle class then the u.s.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 22, 2015, 12:39:53 AM
If you win 99% of the time, to make 1 btc per week its because you know something most people dont.

Or you just have a way of get away with cheating if you know how to buy and sell. But, your method shouldnt be recommend esp when new faces come into bitcoin buying into it is hard already enough.
