1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 21, 2015, 12:31:06 AM
i believe in bitcoin but 1 bitcoin at 10000 dollars sounds unreal, soo my bet here it would be it reach 1500 dollars on maturity and i guess 400bitcoins would be enought

1500 dollars per coin would make it a negligible presence in global terms. It would be of zero use to commerce or finance. If it stalled at that level it would eventually drop back and fade away when it became clear that genuine adoption would never happen.

A $1500 valuation would make Bitcoin's market cap smaller than Bangladesh's secondary stock exchange. That's not exactly stellar in terms of world finance.

Yep just look at it, ther will be a massive shift of wealth from the top 1% to another top 1%, hopefully the bitcoin rich guys have better morals than the current elite.

I like rich people, i also like poor people, but folks all we need mostly is people who can create wealth for all of us, and not for those who strip it away our hard earned money like with the current pension system.

The current elite will continue to be wealthy. It is just that there will be another class of wealthy guys, who made it through Bitcoin.
Diversification is always good.

This would be the very few, assuming its the ones that havent created anything, but just held on or shorted for profit and bought back in at right times.

Its a rare case, but there will be a small percent who made a good sum if value goes up, but the value discussion has been going on for last 4 years lol. Not to be a downer or anything.
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 21, 2015, 12:25:39 AM
I don't know why people blame the EU for this.

Greece cooked their books in order to make it so they could join the EU, they were already a house of cards financially before they joined.

cooking the books is a old thing. most companies do it esp when they want more profits, but when a country does it pretty much hits global level.

as for the repayment, we all know that they wouldnt or couldnt have paid regardless based on past history.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is the Chinese mentality so risky? on: July 20, 2015, 11:58:11 PM
Last time I checked its not just chinese its everyone. But games in the casino are directed to asians due to more percentage based on business owners.

Also it isnt fair to say only chinese just because they have a bigger population then ours.
1324  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] RIOT POINT , NEXON CASH, ZP on: July 06, 2015, 02:50:01 AM
Okay so several obvious points here.

1. you havent stated the amount
2. price?
3. escrow

All these need to be a factor if you want to create a chance for a sale.  Wink
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Grexit on: July 01, 2015, 04:59:20 PM
Let's examine on who will lose how much.  Grin

Germany and France will be devastated, while the UK will be able to escape without much damage. The Greek default will be a serious blow to the German dominance in the European Union.

sounds about every larger EU country will be in the waters for this one.

I`m sure the countries can recover, since they are bigger. But similar traits goes to how a drug addict comes back for more drugs, like greece is the user and every other bigger EU country is a supplier.

edit: I take that back, they need a miracle.. the debt is in the trillions.
1326  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 01, 2015, 04:55:25 PM
In 20 years, Bitcoin will have crashed down to $0 at least once.

the lowest it will prbably go to a crash is low hundreds, and if everyone jumped ship then yeah only then its zero.

but i doubt this scenario since most of the hard problems with bitcoin is being solved esp with the 1mb situation and hard forks.
1327  Economy / Economics / Re: Puerto Rico Bankruptcy on: July 01, 2015, 04:53:15 PM
They need some sort of bail out form and if bitcoin was looked as a universal debt coin this would be actually okay.

So the meaning of value automatically changes, and 1 btc stood for is 1,000 in that foreign currencys value in that currences debt or something.
1328  Economy / Economics / Re: imagine of Greece adopted bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 04:49:33 PM
Greece's current GDP is $241 billion. To bring it down to the bitcoin currency, it would require each Bitcoin to account for $17591 of transactions per year, value each Bitcoin at $1759 or around 55 TIMES ITS VALUE! With the assumption that greeks use the currency and not the world, which is impossible. Greece is undergoing internal devaluation as a consequence of an overvalued currency,it would be fucking stupid to adopt a currency that was bound to increase in value by 55x as a consequence of them starting to use it.
As it is a global currency, would it not also be the case that they would increase their GDP by 55x in doing so?
If they could cheaply buy gold, knowing that it would go up 5500% straight after, that would be a pretty good reason to buy gold!

How would a country go about adopting bitcoin anyway? They couldn't buy on exchanges, how could they acquire the starting currency?

i think it should be done via governments, the governments should convert all is fiat in bitcoin, and start paying with it for every activity that there might be in their country

then their country should produce something and sell it to other countries to really increase its GDP, and not by printing useless fiat money, like they are doing now

So bitcoin becomes the officially world reserve currency to pay off each others off sounds intresting..

but thats a ton of fiat, I see it in a way where they use it as a form of universal debt for other foreign countries to buy, so its another form of lending i guess.
1329  Economy / Economics / Re: imagine of Greece adopted bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 04:45:54 PM
I only took pity for those innocent people who worked hard and earn for their savings only to find that they can't even take out their own money apparently because somebody else screwed up things for them. If they knew all these would happen, they would have looked at options on how to bypass it. Now is probably too late.

I only found about bitcoin way back when there was a cnn article, so unless they dont read stuff like cnn or other forms of internet news Im sure its harder to find.

or its the fact they found out what bitcoin was about, but were hesitant due to the scam stories they hear about it.
1330  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis, then opportunity. on: July 01, 2015, 04:36:59 PM
And to pull this off?

you need to obvious, which is large amounts of money.

So this would work if youre already what? rich?  Cheesy
1331  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: July 01, 2015, 04:34:47 PM
Everybody will be immediately much better off.

yeah, but not really.

more the 1 mill people are invested with holding the usd i dont think anyone wants to see it drop to zero. imagine not being to buy something you need the next day lol.
1332  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Keep your money anonymous and safe with the reloadable Anon Debit Card on: July 01, 2015, 04:24:44 PM
not to hate on your business, but wouldnt be the purpose of having bitcoin does all this without getting a debit card.

1333  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 01, 2015, 04:21:47 PM

dev of what? anyway we need p2p exchange, so exchangers cannot run away with the excuse "our cold wallet was hacked yesterday"

this is the only concern at the moment

That is true, and its a valid concern, however i think, in view of altcoins, the biggest threat is the devs running away.

There are 1000x more scam altcoins than scam exchanges, and more money is lost to scam altcoins than scam exchanges.

Pretty much the already established exchanges are staying, and can be moderately trusted.

It's the same as if your average broker runs with the money, yes they were regulated, but so what, funds are only covered up to 20.000€, the rest of it is fucked.

Its definitely about decentralization Wink

yeah altcoin dev are quite malicious, but if there is a good trusted escrow and the code is well examined, you can be sure that the coin is legit

there were many scam dev in the past with hidden premine, mostly from china, this was another reason why many prefer to invest with already good established coins, like bitcoin, litecoin, monero, and not with new coins that hold a major risk

anyway i'm not risking large amount ever, i prefer to trade small amount to rise my bitcoin stash or to keep it not falling too much, in the case i need to use it for shopping or whatever, the rest will be done by bitcoin itself, when will rise to unbelievable level
Indeed very much dev coin scam, but that function is a forum we are looking for any information you need to determine the coin is safe or not.

And a very good choice if you do not use all your money in one form of investment, because when the investment scam, we will not lose all of our bitcoin
But i think we won't put our money or coins into a scammed investment, if we used our common sense we invest in the company that not ponzi, scammed and we know that it is trustful. By doing that we won't lose any coins.
But the fact is now all investments in the internet is a Ponzi scheme, it is very difficult to find an investment that is truly real. maybe if you think there will be an investment that is real, what if the investment was suddenly bankrupt? how do you claim your money? think again

its not just internet, you see it everywhere in different forms.

when you go to school and you think you were increasing your odds to get a certain job and dont get it whats that? other forms of ponzis are also called mlm multi level marketing where people think they are business owners but only if they made money which most people fail to see as well.
1334  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $100 starbucks for $20 [btc] or perfectmoney on: July 01, 2015, 04:15:04 PM
just a tip since i seen it already in the past, if you want people to buy from you id recommend to find past old starbucks threads.

they usually start off with vouches and wait for the people to come on here for confirmations.
1335  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Google Play Gift Cards - 40% off on: July 01, 2015, 04:11:37 PM
very cheap price for certain reasons? lol.

you dont even mention wanting to use ecscrow, which I advise you should cause most people question gift cards as it is..
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: July 01, 2015, 04:08:27 PM
I think you could very well be a millionaire with 100 BTC. One thing you could try to do is trade the major waves, to increase your holdings even further - but please keep in mind that you may also lose your BTC very quickly by doing so.

Its only trend is to go up.

But, its just a matter of when right. So the millionaire thing can take another couple years down the road when we see no more bitcoins able to mine or something.

Imagine a whole country needs it to move their funds, and people need to pay a premium to move money. btw, when i say country i mean its citizens.
1337  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 04:03:49 PM
Greek people are poor as fuck, right? So their 60 dollar isn't helping.
I have reason to believe that Philipvdlinde is pumping Bitcoin, just like he did in 2013.
How did you come up with that? Greeks poor? How would you describe Romanians or Bulgarians?

Romanians and Bulgarians are bums and gipsy's, lol.

Just know that those countries maybe be bums, but when theres a similar financial situation like greece, they too will need bitcoin.

So more reason to hold for future financial mess in the future for all world banks who decide to profit.
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falllllling was wrong altogether on: July 01, 2015, 03:59:00 PM
This is what will happen: Once the price starts getting high enough that whales start shaking, and so do peasants like you and me and the rest of non whales here, we'll dump, and as we are dumping, old money and serious fiat whales (non early adopter nerds) will start getting in, because they'll be convinced Bitcoin can recover from anything and at that point they would be stupid to not get it. As a result, nerd-whales and peasants that are hungry for some dollars/euro will be left of out the game as we march near unseen ATH and floors above the current ATH, since both groups will not be able to buy back-in.

And all you have to do throughout is HODL.

I dont get why people type hodl, when you can just write hold normally lol.

As for the valuation eventually, the value will increase by some random event or other cause. Eg: greece, or some whale, or the fact that theres the few bitcoins in circulation.
