1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 13, 2023, 06:59:10 PM
People are underestimating Lakers a lot, we may see them go to finals. Remember the time Lebron lead a series in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks all at the same time? I am not saying he will do that, but we all know what he can do if he has to carry and not like he lost a series before, he did, and he may lose this one too, Denver is amazing and all and Jokic is unmatched and can't be guarded but Lakers is Lakers and Lebron is Lebron.

I think if given enough chances then we could end up with a good series. I do not see any clear winner here, I think it will be a close series that may end in 6 or 7 at least. That means even though it might be won by Denver, at least it will be close enough, or maybe Lakers will shock you all and win the series.

What a garbage line up from lampard. Lampard was putting some important players who contributed a lot like kante, ziyech on the bench. Lampard was repeating another stupid formation again. Im so mad to see the bad performance from chelsea.

Sterling was actually a useless player. he can do nothing. The era for this guy has already passed. Gallagher is always become starting line up. Gallagher was also a very bad player.

Nottingham is leading the game now. I think that chelsea will lose again in this game.
To be fair they have absolutely nothing to fight for, so they might be trying some different things to see how it works and how things could happen better. I understand that not many people could end up with these type of changes mid-season and that is why it looks like a stupid move, but think about it this way; they changed their manager and have no goal at all.

When you think about it this way, win-lose-tie doesn't matter and they could just end up with a better result in the end because they are trying something new. If they dislike it, they will shelf it, if they like it then they can try it later on. I personally enjoy it as much as I can to see different tactics so we can see what works and what doesn't, and move on from there. Players could rest as well, not just benched, we are not sure.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: May 13, 2023, 05:03:10 PM
I think it's not really that important to check the price every single day if you are a long term holder. Like for example I keep on messing up the situation all the time and I do not check it, why would I because I will hold it no matter what the price is anyway and there is no need for anything else. I get that people really want to see it grow higher and bigger but I do not have to do that at all, I just want to be left alone and not care about any of the price movements.

It could have been 25k when I woke up, or could be 30k, I would just hold anyway and there wouldn't be any changes in my life at all, that's the important part for me. I understand some people wanted to make it work differently but that doesn't mean they are right, just ignore it and keep holding.
That's sort of true, but I think it doesn't hurt to check neither, like be aware of what's going on. I understand that if you are going to hold it for 10+ years, maybe not knowing today could be unimportant to you. But at the same time, I do not need to know Chinese history and how it was formed neither, and yet I read about it, sometimes having information is important, even if it doesn't matter to you that day, it's important to be wise.

I check it everyday even though I am a long term investor as well, just because I want to be aware of how things are moving and that means I am going to end up with something much better on the long run. I get that people are not doing something that works for us right now, but it is definitely a benefit.
1104  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about the little increase? on: May 13, 2023, 03:51:20 PM
It's a good sign that bitcoin will pump this year, we are still in the third month, looking at the middle of the year, something will surely bulls up. When I open my wallet I was surprise of the price from $23000 to $26000 that's cool for those who buys recently.

What did you think about the price? Will it pump soon
For now I still think that Bitcoin can still get a better pump this month even though it is currently experiencing a price decline, because an increase of eight to ten percent from the current price is still possible for Bitcoin if investors and Bitcoin holders in large numbers do not feel panic with the price reduction that is happening right now. They are the ones who have the backing to keep the Bitcoin price from falling too deeply this month.
I know that feeling, I feel the same way and almost half of the month is over and we haven't really increased so much and that makes people feel like it is not going to go up but I feel like it has been silent for the first half of the month and it is going to end up with a good increase at the end of the month or there abouts.

It is not going to end up with anything that is terrible or worse from here, it could happen because anything could happen but I feel like we are going to push for 30k+ again this month as well, that seems like a possible thing once again. It's a hard one, but it is really not the worst one and it could potentially happen. Hopefully, we just need to wait, wait a week more and then maybe a start will happen.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 12, 2023, 08:41:15 PM
With such a strong opponent, a defensive strategy might be the best choice for Schalke, and at any time they can take advantage of Bayern Munich's mistakes to carry out a quick counterattack. I know very well that defensive strategies have a lot of risks, because if they are pressed continuously they will tire more quickly, and when fatigue starts to get in the way, it will result in decreased concentration. And in the defensive strategy they have to be able to maintain concentration, maybe that will be an additional job for a coach.
Meanwhile, clubs that play offensively will usually leave gaps in the defense, and Schalke can take advantage of that, and at times like that they are required to play effectively when they have opportunities.
They can try whatever, it is not going to work, Schalke is Schalke, even though they got better recently, they are still much worse and no matter what they try, the end result will be the same and they are going to end up with a loss. It's fine though, they are already out of relegation zone and how hard it could be to expect teams that low to lose at the same week as well? Stutgart losing to Leverkusen, Bochum losing to Augsburg and Berlin losing to Köln.

All of those are very likely results and should happen if you ask me. I think it is important to realize that we should not be focusing on anything that will change the end result too much, just Schalke losing and all others losing as well. If not, they will have to fight harder for the rest of the season.
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any benefit of bitcoin to the government? on: May 12, 2023, 07:42:53 PM
do you think that it could be a reason why the government do not support bitcoin?
As if they wouldn't use it, the government imposes a various regulations on Bitcoin users. But after a years, I can no longer believe that the government and their employees don't own any Bitcoin.
The sad thing about governments is the fact that they could have been used so amazingly and how it could have made it so much better for the world as well. Think about a world where people who have excess amount ends up paying a bit to provide for the world a situation where governments uses it to just invest into free healthcare, free education and whatever people need and nobody ever want for anything.

I think it is very important to make it work and we should be focusing on what we could make and how it could improve at the same time. However, we all know that the situation is not like that and almost all governments are corrupt and that would be something terrible in the end but we all know that it is not going to be that much better in the near future neither.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: May 12, 2023, 06:44:50 PM
It's going to a cycle though, as beginners who follow crypto influencers and then learn that they have nothing to offer but spewing things that they might not even understand in the first place. And so those become experience traders and influencers and move on to become good at crypto themselves because they did their own research.

But then again, a new set of newbies comes in the market specially that we are just a year before the halving. And then this influencer ramp up their shilling on whatever platform they got and this noobs listen, so it's just rinse and repeat for them.
I think that is true but the amount of newbies that is getting it will get slower, plus at least we get rid of old influencers and new ones take time to get the same influence so it gets better on that front as well. Between less newbies (because majority of the world already knows about it, not because we do not have too many people) and then old influencers going away (because they are proven to be shady and scammers who only promote for money) we end up with a lot less.

I agree that there is the cycle you talk about, but that cycle will get smaller and smaller over time. Maybe that won't happen in a single day, but it will happen over course of a long period of time and that will end up with a good result for people in 10-20 years.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 12, 2023, 05:48:06 PM
Chelsea are currently mid-table and it doesn't matter to them for the rest of the season regardless if they hope to win or not but I think the season is over for Chelsea and they have to think about next season to come back, this is the worst season Chelsea in the last few seasons.
for Chelsea's performance under the tutelage of coach Frank Lampard there is not the slightest development, it is getting worse and I am sure Frank Lampard will not be maintained for next season.
apart from Chelsea's win in their last game, I don't think it's a comeback for this team.
I think it will not change much anyway, so they just let go this season so for the past few weeks and the end, it doesn't matter how they look because nobody will care about that at all, they are all going to end up with a solution that would be more based on what they are going to do next season and everyone is expecting that.

I know it's a little too early, there is like nearly 6 months until we see any serious games from them, or at least a few more months at least for them to make changes on the team and the staff, but still that's all the yare waiting for. What are they going to do? Start winning every single game? Not likely, and even if they do, it is not going to really change much neither so it is going to be pretty same in the end without a doubt.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: May 11, 2023, 09:14:06 PM
I do choose France ahead of any other country out there, they've been consistent in their performance both in the last world cup and the last Euro compition, I didn't see reason why they shouldn't top the list.
I still think that France will have a bit of hard time getting the win here. I mean they are the highest likely one but since they do not have any proper competition aside from maybe England, they are going to feel more relaxed. When a team is seen as the highest favorites, then it is going to end up with something that is more relax which will cause them to underestimate the teams that they will face, that is going to end up with a lot worse situation in the end.

I believe that we are going to reach to a point where France suddenly end with a loss unexpectedly with the situations. This is why I believe that we are going to see them maybe lose and that should be a terrible result in the end. I hope that they will play as well as they can, but I can't be sure about it.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 11, 2023, 08:43:09 PM
Frankfurt and Mainz will not want to drop points. But the problem is that the performances of both teams have deteriorated in recent times. They are not playing well. In the last match, Frankfurt lost 3-1 against Hoffenheim. Mainz, on the other hand, lost against a weak Schalke. That is why it is very difficult to predict how the players of both teams will perform in this match. They may want to play a defensive strategy to share the points. Also, the last two matches between these two teams have also been drawn.
It's the end of the league, everyone is playing worse these days because everyone is incredibly tired, this is exactly what happens when a team plays this long and there are a lot of players who played during world cup, or had to gave a break but had to start earlier to the season because of it as well.

So all in all this season was a tough one, and since this summer will be a bit more break and can relax, maybe next season will be better but so far this season everyone is tired like crazy. This isn't an excuse though, everyone feels the same way, the opponents feel the same way as well, so it is not really going to be unfair to any single team, it is equally tiresome for all of them but it gives unexpected results time to time because of it.

You have got a fair point about the over population and other problems tourists may suffer if they visit China in large enough numbers. Also, I don't know whether you are aware of it or not. but there seems to be some health concerns with Chinese street food, about the way they recycle the oil and things similar to that.

You can search "gutter oil" on the internet if you feel like.
Perhaps instead Chine people would prefer Japan, Taiwan or Vietnam?
It would be refreshing to see some World Cup in an oriental setting this decade.
I think Japan was already done, and China may not look like it's a great deal because of pollution, but you have to understand life is very fast there and the people are incredibly poor, sure there is a rich population there obviously as well but the regular people are incredibly poor and gap is unlike any nation you have seen.

We are talking about USA having 300+ billion dollar rich Elon at one point vs people who die because they couldn't afford insulin, that's USA, and china is even worse than that. You think those poor people will be there if there is a world cup? They will build stuff like Qatar did, and they will have a great place, and that's all there will be to it, if China ever wants to compete for it of course, not sure if they want to.
1112  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 11, 2023, 05:14:05 PM
People think that working in abroad is so easy where you can earn money without sweat but in reality it is hard, this information is first hand meaning that my close relatives and friends share their experiences in abroad to me personally. In terms of financially, they really agree that working in abroad is better because their hourly wage is much higher than here in my country. The only disadvantage is that they got easily burnout because of the heavy tasks and they cannot see their family wherein they have long distance relationship that makes them feel home sick.

They said that their mental health is also not good but their environment is much better than here. So you see there are disadvantages and advantages and if someone ask me if what will I choose between working in abroad or working here. I'll choose working here because for me there are more opportunities in my country, if I will apply for a job it is better to do it outside of the country because of the big gap pay but I do not like to apply. I prefer to build a business and building business in my country is much easy and doesn't have stiff competition so scaling business here is much easier and I can become more rich here.
This is exactly why I never left my nation. I got a job offer from England, which is multiple times better than my own nation, I would have been living a much better life financially, it is not even remotely close, I would be much much much richer. But I rejected. Because I knew that I would be away from everyone I love, and I would be unhappy about it and I would not be able to focus on how to live properly.

I think there are people who can do it, which is awesome and if you can do it then you should, it's the smart decision to leave and work at a place that is better than your nation, that is what you SHOULD do if you have to chance. But some of us like me feel chained because we can't leave our friends and family here and leave for some other place, we should, but we can't.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 10, 2023, 08:32:00 PM
Next week we are going to be in another race week and this time we are in Italy. Last week Verstappen did a really great work by winning the race despite starting at the 9th position. This was very helpful for him to increase the point gap with Perez in driver standings to 14 as well. Fastest lap was also on him so it was a really solid race by him there.

Perez is really ambitious this season. He is doing his best with this very fast car. He would like to prevent the gap from getting bigger in the next race. Maybe he can take another pole position there but when it comes to a win his job will still be difficult against Verstappen of course. He has a more skilled opponent against himself in the end.
@Velvet78 their rivalry has made F1 really interesting to watch this season and I believe that they’ll not go easy on one another hence I’m expecting a tight race once more between these two. Lastly is anyone else disappointed by Hamilton’s performances this season because he’s been performing poorly and I can’t believe that he’s yet struggling thus I wonder how long can he continue to race by putting in such mediocre performances.
Even though they are making it good to watch because otherwise nobody is even remotely close to them, it is also not really a close one neither. Just look at how easy it was for Max to pass Perez when he wanted to, it took him like 15 laps to get to second position, that is as dominant as I have ever seen, even Mercedes had just a few years that dominant, normally even they weren't that dominant by the end few years, and eventually lost obviously.

So, it is not going to be really that easy to just take it away from Max, even Perez will not be able to do that, and the difference by the end will be easily more than 100+ points, probably maybe even more. At least Perez will get the second position he wanted last year, that's going to be a good ending for him, he deserved it.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: May 10, 2023, 07:16:42 PM
It was a great week for Galatasaray as they are five points away from Fenerbahce and Besiktas both now. Moreover this gap might even get bigger with these teams by the results of upcoming week. For example, Fenerbahce are playing against Trabzonspor in a home game this time. They don't have a very good history against Trabzonspor in home games for a while. In addition, they lost to them by 2-0 away also this season.

Maybe Trabzonspor don't have any goal left in this season but we never know. Fenerbahce can surprise people in every kind of games these days. Meanwhile Galatasaray are playing against Istanbulspor on the same week and I see another victory for them. Istanbulspor are in a safe place in the league table away from dropping to the relegation area seemingly.

I think that Galatasaray can maintain a win streak to get closer to the championship.
They do not have any proper opponent until Fenerbahce so they should be able to win it without a doubt. But to be fair Karagumruk wasn't a big trouble neither and they still got a tie, which means that just because teams they are going to face are not great teams, doesn't mean that they are going to get a win, they could end up with a draw or loss to a lower level team as well, it's football and those type of things do happen.

I do expect them to win all three games until Fenerbahce game as well, at which point I think it makes them guaranteed to win the league if I am not wrong, but even with that, I think they may end up winning that game as well, there is a potential that they could win all the remainder of the games, or they could end up losing points unexpectedly, anything could happen.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: May 09, 2023, 08:35:40 PM
Diversification is an important thing when it comes to big money, and when we are trying to build capital from small investments, it may involve certain risks, such as putting all our savings into one type of asset.

Many of us hope this works, bitcoin is still very young and it can definitely go through a few cycles before it becomes much more stable and not so interesting to invest. But for now, bitcoin still has a very good potential, and perhaps not only until 2025, but also for the subsequent cycle.

My bottom line is that the more expensive it gets, the slower its price will go up, but that might help its adoption.
I feel like that would not be an issue because I still think that it will beat inflation in the future. Which means even if it gets 100x higher than this, which would be 3 million dollars and we all know that will take some long time to reach and we won't get there anytime soon, even in that situation it will beat inflation.

This is why I keep saying that we should always look for the one that is changing it in a way that will make it work for a long time, there is no other option to go with here. Just keep buying bitcoin more and more, keep buying, keep holding, keep doing that for decades. Do not invest to get rich overnight, do not think about getting rich quickly, that's not the point, if you want to risk that then put a small amount into alts, but keep buying bitcoin for decades and retire rich.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 07:49:44 PM
Mourinho has a reputation for winning such matches hence I won’t be surprised if he’s able to surprise Leverkusen and beat them. Lastly I’ll stick to my word that Sevilla will beat Juventus because they simply love winning this competition and they have some crazy luck too in this competition thus there’s no way that Juventus will get past them.
That's literally all he is known for. Sure Mourinho is a good manager when it comes to the league games, not saying he is bad, but his all time talent is cup games. He has been winning ucl and europa since he started his career and I feel like that dude has been marvelous wherever he went to. Won UCL twice, won league cup titles, won conference, won europa, he won basically everything he played because he likes to win at tournament style games.

This actually was also the reason why I expected him to lead the portugal national team for a while too, I mean he could have just made a few month deal during world cup and still do it, wasn't impossible to have dual jobs for both the team and the national team at the same time, or that period between him leaving spurs and until he got to roma, I assumed he may have gone to Portugal.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 09, 2023, 07:03:51 PM
I honestly didn't expect these games to be so high scoring because after this week it was going to be a matter of gaining or losing important points for each team.
Fulham beat relegation candidates Leicester 5-3 at home and we can say that it was an important point loss for Leicester.Fulham took control of the game in the first half and went 3-0 up and Fulham was the team that started the second half fast. After increasing the difference to 4, Fulham gave up control of the game and allowed the opponent to play the ball and conceded 2 more goals.Leicester didn't play badly but we can't say that they played well enough to win.
Everton, the other relegation candidate, scored 5 goals against Brighton. It was very important for them to get 3 points in such an important match and I did not expect such a win from them.Brighton is in great form this year and they have no problem scoring goals. In this match, they played well again but they could not make good use of the positions they found.Everton scored 5 goals in 5 shots, but 1 goal was an own goal by Steeele.
Well, when it comes to last games, teams start to play with all they have, and they end up playing with the last ounce of energy they have left, they leave nothing on the floor and they play as well as they possibly could. This makes it better for them and turns things around for them, which is great obviously but that doesn't mean that results will always be shocking, sometimes the better team wins and there is nothing the underdogs would be able to do.

I hope that we get to keep seeing the favorites win because that's easier to bet and I feel like that's going to be the case for the rest of the season as well. I know that it is not going to be that easy to bet on the games where underdogs win, some people look for that but I am not that type of person and usually end up betting on the favorites instead.

Even with high bankroll martingale can easily eat and deplete you fund especially when you encounter a series of reds in your roll. 20+ red streak can possibly make your bankroll negative  and we all know that 20+ read streak is very possible.  I even experience this in spinning a slot. 20+ dead spin.  Imagine if I martingale my bet and I experience that 20+ streak.
If someone doesn't realize that getting to 10+ is a sign, he should stop immediately and doesn't stop gambling. Instead, he will only run out of money if he uses big bets, especially if he gets 20+ a series of reds.

For slot games, usually after getting several losses, we can get a win which, even though it's a small win, can make us continue to gamble. So for gambling, I think it's really worth it if we stick with small bets even though we have a big bankroll because it sure hurts to see all our balances used up that day.
Usually that is true, but not every single time. You could get a lot of losses that will eventually make you run out of money and there is no return from there, it just doesn't work like that. I have seen people turn just a few dollars into thousands of dollars and then end up losing it all back again. Casinos have house edge on their side which means that it would not be possible for anyone to just keep on gambling and win.

If you gamble long enough, then you are going to end up with a loss eventually and that is the end of it, that's just going to be the case for sure, without a doubt. I hope that it gets to a point where it will not be possible for anyone to just keep on gambling for a long time and still not face 20+ losses in a row, if you keep gambling, you will reach that one day.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: May 09, 2023, 05:11:04 PM
Bitcoin has been around for over a decade now and is only getting more popular with time. Along with this, the value of Bitcoin has also increased rapidly in the past few years, which means that people are now willing to invest in bitcoin more than ever before. Even if you hear about bitcoin being hacked, using a strong wallet makes it less likely. This wallet has a private key for security which corresponds to the wallet address. Bitcoin wallets are available in desktop, web, mobile and hardware types therefore the private key will not be shared with anyone.
I feel like its going to grow to a point where people will not ask this. However, lets remember that majority of the world uses dollars and some people still do not trust dollars neither, which happens and we just need to accept the fact that some stuff are just not that easy to handle.

It is not going to be easy for anyone to just do this kind of stuff that easily, it may take a while and it may take a long while as well so it could end up with something major for bitcoin not to be trusted, but with time it will be, we just have to learn how to live with that. I know that not many people trust it right now, and many do, there are tens of millions of people who love it, but there are tons of people who do not like it as well, with time that will get lesser.
1120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 08, 2023, 09:08:43 AM
Speaking of the English Premier League, it seems that Man United has an ambition to bring in a new striker since the departure of CR7. Weghorst, who replaced CR7, has so far scored very few goals. That is why Man United will be hunting for a new striker in the near future.

As we know, Harry Kane is currently a hot topic regarding his future career. Who wouldn't be tempted to play in the UCL? And considering Tottenham won't be playing in the UCL, Kane's main focus could be on the top 4 teams in the EPL. At Man City, Kane will certainly be overshadowed by Haaland. Harry Kane's best chance is to dock at Man United. Will this really happen?
United would be a great place for Kane but will Kane be great for United? That is the question to ask. He is already old enough and he is incredibly expensive as well, they can't get him for cheap. Why not look for another player that could be around the same price but younger and maybe do better?

This is why I keep saying that Osimhen is exactly what United needs, he would be great at premier league too and his style fits United a lot and he could improve the team a lot. If they can take a risk then they would be a lot better, or maybe I am wrong and they would be worse and wasted money, whereas Kane will be guaranteed, not amazing, not great, old enough, but at least you know what he could bring to the team as well, there won't be any shock how he plays he will do fine.
